Welcome, everyone, to The Inferno. A dark fae, a demon, and a vampire walk into a club… It sounds like the start of a bad joke, doesn’t it? But for me, it was the beginning of a terrifying new reality.
Five years ago, I was found beyond the Council District’s barrier, bloodied, alone, and stripped of my memories. My unlikely saviours were a ragtag band of supernaturals who took me in, gave me shelter, gave me purpose, and taught me how to survive in the shadows.
But one night was all it took to unravel everything I had built. I made a mistake. I let my darkness out, and the enforcers took notice. They came for me, determined to uncover every secret I had been told to bury.
From that moment, nothing was the same.
They make me question everything, even my loyalty to the only family I have ever known. And when disaster strikes The Inferno, I am torn away from home and thrown into the path of three deadly enforcers… until a fourth steps out of the shadows.
I never felt like I belonged, but now I wonder if I have finally found where I fit—among the monsters.
The Inferno is a reverse harem supernatural romance. Medium burn with tension, shadows, and heat. Intended for 18+ readers.

M.K. Michelle is a UK-based indie author specialising in reverse harem romance.
She writes paranormal romance where dark worlds, emotional tension, and slow-burning heat collide. Her omegaverse stories lean into intensity, pack dynamics, and unapologetic desire.
She crafts stories filled with supernatural lore, intense bonds, brooding men, and heroines who refuse to be anything but powerful. With a focus on connection, loyalty, and dangerously devoted love, her books blend high-stakes emotion with escapism.
If you love shadows, spice, and love interests who would burn the world down for her, welcome.
I struggled with how to rate this. It was a pretty good book for a debut novel. But there were many issues. This needed some serious editing/proofreading and didn't need to be this long. Many plot holes and things that didn't make sense. The world building could use alot of work, I also found my self confused about her powers and how they worked. This entire book revolved around her using them and hiding them but I somehow couldn't fully grasp it. Some scenes were confusing on how the characters moved and acted. The wording was confusing like when she would "softly scowl" or "peer" away from someone's gaze. How she would lower her gaze but angrily look at someone.
The romance was sooo slow it was pretty much non existent. The spice was barely 1 🌶️. I'm interested to see what the next book would bring but hope it isn't as long.
I absolutely devoured this book and I need book two right now. I honestly feel like 900 pages was not long enough. 😩 The story, world building, the magic, the strong FMC who has been through so much already (don’t even know the half of it yet) and still pushes through. Each guy so insanely different, thank god it’s a reverse harem because honestly how could you choose between them?! UGH. My poor Sai at the end 😭 Absolutely 100% recommend reading this, you won’t be disappointed.
This book absolutely blew my mind. I did not see it coming. These characters. The mystery. Mostly the absolutely delicious, endless, tension between Jasmine and the enforcers. We're talking hundreds of pages of heart throbbing heat and tension. This is a CHONKY book, coming in at almost 1000 pages, and I absolutely devoured it. I didn't do anything but read this weekend, so caught up in these characters. I might have missed it somewhere in the blurb, but this is actually part one, so we don't have an HEA in this first book, and honestly, I'm fine with that. I'm so down to keep going with this seriously awesome storyline and these characters.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ❤❤ book one is kind of a morphing of enemies to lovers 🔥🔥 slow burn but still managed to keep me on edge 🌶 it's hard for me to rate the spice level on this because the tension was grade A HOT imho, but the actual smexy times are very limited, I have to imagine it's only going to grow, and I am here for it! 💀 Warnings, quite a bit of on page violence, including the on page attempted SA of a minor. I didn't find anything overly dark but it's something each person must assess for themselves. 🚫 No MM, FF, OW, cheating
I usually do not pick series that are not complete, but considering my late struggle to find a story that captivates me, I did decide to give the story a chance. New author, good plot, engaging and diversified characters - I was interested for sure. I am a bit late with the review, but then again life does enjoy interfering with my time.
Jasmine does suffer from memory loss as she only could recall the past five years of her existence. When the three unexpected enforcers enter the club and something dark awakens in her, she starts to discover that there appear to be quite a few secrets that have been hidden in the shadows.
There is this tempting tension between the characters that does keep you on edge and I did appreciate it quite a bit. I reckon there is quite a bit to be uncovered about Jasmine, she is a very interesting female lead. The MMCs are quite diverse and each brings something to the story. The romance is slow to build and frankly, that is exactly what I wanted.
The characters act maturely, which certainly did win me over, and I will be reading the next book. The series is promising and I do hope that the other books are just as good.
This was a repetitive and slow read. The heroine was weak, needy, and insecure. The guys were unlikable. Things were left out as far as what happened to the heroine five years ago then the h only wanted to tease and demean the heroine. The guys keeping the mate bonds to themselves and the heroine being clueless was predictable at the end. The heroine had low self esteem and helpless. Don't care for the side plot of another female being added at the end and of the guys being nicer to such character than towards the heroine. The sexy time was not even hot with lots of teasers only. Nothing really happened on this book except the focused and repetitive monologues of the heroine self doubts and being almost dying twice. Disappointed that the plotline was weak and lacking characters development in my opinion. The cliffhanger at the end of the heroine being kept in the dark of the guys as her mates were a weak one in my opinion.

this desperately needs to be the next big RH book. it is immaculate. the writing, the characters, the ambiance… everything is so well done. i read this almost 1000 page book without being able to put it down. it was creative and had a hint of humor and everything i love about why choose relationships. and the SLOW BURN. oh. my. gosh. someone sedate me. i haven’t read such a bingeable, well done why choose in so long that this book almost made me click my heels like a loser. a happy loser. everyone should read this book. i’ll admit, the plot gets a little loose at the end, and there’s some confusion, BUT for this being an indie author and the authors PART TIME JOB??? it’s phenomenal. so well done 10/10 i recommend.
i’ve already started reading the next one and i haven’t been so feral for men groveling since aurelia and her men in the her feral beasts series. and if you know me you know i LOVE those books. gosh this is amazing. needs all the hype. PLEASE read this. best 7 hours of ur life.
ALSO— SAI. MY MAN. THIS GUY HAS THE DIRTIEST MOUTH. the praise he was giving the fmc was enough to make my grandpa blush. i had to hold myself back from highlighting every page he was on bc DUDE this man WORSHIPS the fmc. almost brought a tear to my eye. and great lord the “good girls” this man was giving out almost made me get on my knees. somebody fan me.
That’s one of the main reasons i picked this book. I like when books keep me at the edge of my seat and left me giggling and smiling.
The story is unique and interesting, which is rare with a RH, so I first liked it.
But that didnt last long. This book made me want to throw myself out my window. It had so many major flaws.
Every single scene was dragged and dragged and dragged for sooo long. I don’t need to know half the things she said.
I kept getting confused with the writing. It went like this: He comes inside the room. "What are you doing here?" he asks "Nothing," I say
WHO COMES INSIDE THE ROOM? WHOO???? JUST SAY HIS NAME OR MAKE IT OBVIOUS WHO IS IT
Not to mention for the whole book she was like “My power bubbles beneath my skin, my eyes darken and I get horny and climb one of them sniff them then one of the men tell me to back off but i don’t. Then 5 minutes later i realise i’m horny and blame it on the men who had nothing to do with it and it’s just me but I don’t wanna admit it because i’m never wrong”
Then she doesn't ask for one of the man's names for like 300 pages and just calls him "Dark Eyes" like cmon just hurry up and ask, you complete dumbass.
“You’re awake?” I flinch at the sudden voice which causes Kacey to pause. “Are you OK?”
Again, WHO IS THE VOICE? LIKE cant she just say "I flinch at SAI'S voice" Instead of making ME figure it out. And it’s not clarified for like 5 pages until FINALLY, the FMC mentions who it is.
Dont get me started on the fact that there are basically NO cuts to this story. It’s like im watching live tv and have to witness every single fucking moment which frankly i could not give a shit about. Like I don’t care about her inner thoughts which are sooo fucking looongggggg. It felt like reading a trilogy.
And Ezekiel- why wasnt he mentioned before? Wht did he suddenly appear? He has no personality. It felt like the author decided to add one more character in the middle of the story because 3 weren’t enough.
And Jasmine’s power. I still am confused on what it actually is. It’s described as shadows that wrap around things and stuff but how’s that an empath power? Is that a normal empath power? I have no idea. She talks about her dark side and shadows but how tf to they relate to her being an empath im so fking confused. Isnt an empath a manipulator of emotions or smth?
EXCUSE ME???
Me senti decepcionada principalmente porque a história tem MUITO potencial.

She only has memories from 5 years ago till present day. Everything before then is blank. She only remembers being found by Brutus, the owner of the club inferno, and his 6 chiefs of security for each level of the club. They have become her family, her safety for the past five years.
That all changes when three enforcers enter into the club one night and cause a dark power within her to awaken. With this power comes the realization that the people she calls her family, have been keeping things from her.
Our morally grey MMC’s
Sai- the dark fae with striking blue eyes Julien- the vampire with blood red eyes Him- our dark and brooding demon shadow daddy Ezekiel- tattoo covered half demon peace keeper of the group.
if you really want to know what happens when a demon, fae, and vampire walk into a bar add this book to your TBR. I loved this book. I loved the humor and watching jasmine try to resist the men. I can’t wait for book two and to learn if they will be able to give up their pride in order to keep her.
Surely, a book that was published 8 months ago, that has no mention of a cliffhanger or of being a part of a series... that has no "coming soon" page for a next book or any verbiage at all that suggests this is not, in fact, a standalone...
...surely, that book isn't going to leave every. single. solitary conflict unresolved, end on a cliffhanger, and have no follow-up in sight?
WRONG.
Honestly, I wouldn't be quite as miffed as I am if this was explicitly stated. I specifically look for those things because - shocker - I don't like reading cliffhanger books when the next installment is nowhere to be seen. I read way too much, I'll never remember to look back when the author finally decides to give us a resolution. So what am I supposed to feel? We essentially just drove all the way to the amusement park to find out it's closed with nothing indicating when it'll open again.
I was already partly annoyed due to the excessive editing issues and the authors raver-child obsession with how the FMC's skin feels. Normally, I'm a jubilant advocate for a more immersive read - the more senses being engaged, the better. But apparently, I have a limit... and that limit is 317 uses of the phrase "my skin" in a matter of 591 pages, most of which occurred within the first 60% of the book. Jfc girl, drink some water and touch some grass.
In fact, if the author chipped away the dizzying amount of sensory rabbit holes this book plummets into, maybe we could have the next book already. But alas, the raver-child is a dogged archetype.
💫 Why Choose (MMFM) 💫 Paranormal (fae, vampires, demons, were, etc) 💫 Tough her and 💀 💫 MMCs fall first 💫 Insomnia 💫 One POV
Things I liked: - the MMCs were very touchy feely early on and it seemed very sensual! Helped me get through the slow burn - the story was captivating from the start, even when I didn't really understand what was happening, I wanted to see what would happen next
Things I didn't like: - grammatical errors. In need of proof reading and formatting - There were a lot of similaries to the Bonds that Tie series, even calling a mate a bond - the FMC mentioned her eyes changing color a lot but I don't understand how she could know that. You can't just see your own eyes and she never mentioned that she could feel the change - the magic was confusing to me. There were coils, spirals, shadows, and mists, but that's somehow separate from her empath powers? And then they mention later a separate power that she and another kind of creature has. It was too much and didn't make any sense to me. - long chapters! Most were 20-30 minutes long - descriptions and movements often made no sense. People's movements seemed to change without it being mentioned, or the author forgot what position people were in - Jasmine was unnecessarily mean to the MMCs, especially at the end. There were a lot of times she seemed to act over dramatically
This was a very difficult read. The plot was good and the reason I stayed. But the writing was not great or didn’t make sense to me a lot of the time. I was constantly confused on who was speaking what the actual scene was. A lot of inner monologue and not much actual conversations between the characters.
It was an extremely long book but not great world building and felt like there wasn’t a whole lot of substance to the characters but just on a surface level. Practically no spicy when this was recommended was very spicy…
(This review is mainly for my own benefit so I do not go back and read)
I found this book on Tiktok by some, erhm captivating… art 🤭 Have I found my favorite why-choose ever!?!
I wish I could show the character art 👀 🥵 Let me introduce them by some of their quotes instead: (quotes are vague enough to not give any plot spoilers)
Jasmine, our FMC, is an absolute badass Empath. “Who did this?” ask, my voice echoing, demonic, latching onto every molecule of the air. I LOVE A COOL, SEXY, AND STRONG FMC! I SUPPORT WOMENS RIGHT AND WRONGS 🤭
“Kane's sleepy, half lidded, grey-speckled eyes … Fuck, he really is beautiful. It's a dangerous, languid beauty of a predator when caught off guard. His hair is still soft and ruffled, and my fingers twitch with the desire to touch it, to make it messier, to add my own mark.” 🤭OKAY YES I’M OBSESSED 🤭
“Kane, our Daddy Darkness (has an authoritative ring to it). “Who." Kane's voice saturates the air. The darkness latched onto that single word creates its own vacuum. All sounds and movement cease because of it, the single syllable is enough to enthral any who heard it to become paralysed in pure terror. Thick, cool darkness sweeps into the room, I feel it as it seeps into my bones and no doubt engulfs this cell as he speaks again. "Who did this?" 🤭I’M A GIGGLINGGG AND KICKING MY FEET! AM I IN LOVE?!🤭
Sai, our flirty Fae with an insane mouth (dimples included). "Tell me how I make you smile like that again." Sai's soft voice. "What if I beat the shit out of Kane?" A bubble of real laughter erupts from me which only seems to encourage Sai more, his eyes flickering in flashes of dark blue, his dimples and wicked smile fully on display now. "That was all me, guys. That smile and laugh are mine," he proudly announces. 🤭HE HAS NO BUSINESS BEING SO FUNNY AND SEXY🤭
Julien, our simping French Vampire. “Your skin should only ever be touched by the softest materials," he begins to murmur. "I want to adorn your body in silks and velvets, satins and lace. I want to worship you. Please, allow me to do so." 🤭THE YEARNING OF THIS MAN, AND THE FRENCH WORDS?!🤭
Debut author and I am in awe. This story was written so well and detailed that I found myself inside the story. Told from the FMC’s POV, with 2 chapters at the end from 2 of the MMCs. I cheated and looked at the second book to find out that it’s told from all POV, which I needed to know their perspective so I could figure out a few things. At times I struggled to understand Jasmine’s powers because this whole world was so different than most paranormal books, which isn’t a bad thing. There’s definitely a lot of unanswered questions and plot twists that I didn’t see coming. The author describes this as a medium burn, but I would disagree, it’s a slooowwww burn. There’s a lot of tension and some sexual scenes but they don’t go “all the way” lol. Can’t wait to dive into the second book.
Cool cover idea, yet I would have liked a blurb on the back and in this case, a glimpse of what the guys look like.
And now we wait for book two! This is incredible sumptuous world building, 900 pages flew by. Read through Kindle Unlimited but bought my own copy, I can’t believe it’s the authors first published work, everything is written so well, from dialogue, description, characters and more. There’s an amazing balance of warming up too and so much suspense, it keeps you on edge. Here’s to Jasmine falling across all of the realms for all of the guys, it’s about to get super hot! 🖤
Loved this book! read in one sitting. I read a lot of books and never really write reviews but the story line gripped me from the get go and has be literally dying for book two😩😩 please m k Michelle don’t make me wait too long for the next part of the story. The ending left me wanting too much. To the point where I stalked insta page to see when it was coming out.
I don’t do spoilers, so you won’t find any from me. You just need to read this book!!
IT WAS SO SLOW. i get it, it’s a slow burn. it’s purposely almsot 600 pages. I WAS DRAGGING THROUGH, it wasn’t even a bad story! this has been one of the most well thought out reverse harem i’ve read in awhile. i loved all the characters and it has a good plot. something about the scenes were just so long, chapters felt like it went on forever. maybe i am just not in the mindset to read a slow burn, it was still good. just be weary you have to go through so much detailed story building, I at least wanted to quit.
This was so good!! It’s been a long time since I read a RH that was this good and where I loved all the characters. It reminds me of the RHs from years ago. Great character development and growth, the relationship development is amazing too, fun world, awesome magic system. I’m excited to see where the plot goes but the focus is def on the characters and their relationships in this one.
Vampires ✅ Fae✅ Supernatural world✅ OP fmc ✅ OP mmcs Why choose✅ Forced proximity ✅ Who did this ( from both fmc and mmc) ✅ This list goes on!!! Omgggg this was so good !!! It’s so full of power, heartbreak, found family , secrets ,SUCH TENSION!!! Loved if you haven’t strayed reading what are you doing ???
Mixed feelings on the pacing but I loved all of the mmc’s and Jasmine. I expected less of a slow burn but ate up the dialogue nevertheless. Thought it would be freakier though 💔
Absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for the next one. I think I’ve grown to love each MMC, nothing is rushed and it has a good story line to keep you wanting to reach the next chapter!
Great world/story. The tension and yearning was great, until it wasn’t. It just went on for too long. This book should have been compacted down into 2/3 of what it is. A lot of internal monologues wasn’t needed. The excuses for them not getting it on lost it’s punch. The miss interpretation of zeek’s outburst was annoying. Was absolutely gobbling this up from the start. Lost interest and struggled through the last half.
Firstly this book is 602 pages long I gave it more of a chance than others.
Nothing much happens in that first 50% 301 pages people!!! Some other books are literally that long. A lot of editing would have moved this story along faster.
I had a few problems with this book firstly I care little for clubbing lifestyles. We've all been there, it's boring if you are not a certain age. That brings me to my next hiccup, just how old is Jasmine???
An empath with the maturity level of a teen??
Jasmine FEEDS on and FORCE'S emotions on everyone around her constantly without permission. Yet when Julian, a vampire, gives her his blood, to save her life, apparently that's a violation. Get it together girl.
As you can imagine at this point I was getting fed up with this story. Not to leave me hanging, of course another pet hate kept popping up... Heroines who apparently think not eating is an important part of the plot. Jasmine is not a child, why do we have to continuously bear witness to her being told to eat and her only taking one bite. I couldn't careless what people do with their food but don't keep emphasising eating disorders, just to back up how sexy the heroines bones are.
These MMCs have done absolutely nothing to scare her yet we keep rotating back to how terrified she is, yet her power isn't. It got tedious, just move it along already.
Before I go off on another tangent, I honestly have more issues with this plot.... The bottom line is this wasn't for me.
There were aspects of this book that I enjoyed, but I struggled with the writing style. At times, I found it difficult to follow the characters’ movements within scenes. I don’t need everything spelled out, but there were moments when I genuinely couldn’t figure out what was happening or where anyone was. I also felt that far too much time was spent describing Jasmine’s power in painstaking detail, alongside how little she ate and was never hungry.
This book is AMAZING. I'm shocked someone hasn't already reviewed it? I loved the characters, ALL of them, the build up, the supernatural elements. Yes, it is LONG, but I appreciate the author isn't trying to drag it out over two books like some... It's honestly the best book I've read for a while and I cannot wait for book two! Thank you, M.K!
