When I heard of this tale, I was curious how the author would combine erotic romance with the world of Wonderland (and Alice). This was a great step into adult Wonderland, though it has its dark side. And I get the sense the Hatter will get his own redemption. Fun, short, erotic tale with elements of BDSM. :)

I was really excited to get my hands on this book. I am a huge lover of Alice in Wonderland and books that are based around the same characters or ones similar to them.

I was very disappointed in the language used in A Cat Without a Grin . I fell like Chez couldn't express himself without cursing. Not that I am against cursing but in a 27 page story I didn't expect to find much. I definitely wouldn't recommend reading this book if you are not comfortable with bad language.

As for the story itself, it is a full, quick story and very detailed for a short story. Nothing was left out and the events were not as far fetched as in other short stories. All questions were answered throughout the book. I feel like some events could have happened differently in order to make the story more interesting. After all, the setting is at Topper's home. I would liked to have seen stranger things happen.

Overall, the storyline was decent but very one dimensional. I definitely think it could have been more exciting.

In this delightful short story, you run the gamut of passionate emotion that leaves you breathless with anticipation and a desire for more. Ms. Bradlee is the Queen of steamy and erotic encounters while managing to also blend the more "human" side of her characters in intriguing fashion. And frankly, I was freaking excited to see this Alice in Wonderland inspired tale set in a brother. Thinking outside the box, that's Ms. Bradless and I can't wait to see her next foray into realms and dimensions she so elegantly navigates.

I liked this story a lot! The twist on the classic Alice in Wonderland tale and the play on names was creative. This was a quick erotic read that I enjoyed. My only complaint was it was too short (I wanted more) and the my curiosity about what happened to a particular character. Great read for a lunch break or while waiting for an appt. SPICY!

Dark and twisty, in a good way! Missing for several years, Alice shows up, caged and in the care of Topper, an infamous brothel owner. Chez, the hero, recognizes his Alice from long ago, and is infuriated that his rival owns her. Determination spurs him to rescue Alice. This tale is a wickedly exciting jaunt inspired by the classical characters of Alice in Wonderland. A 5 STAR read!
