I would have dnf it at 78% but there was a little left that I decided to finish it. 🦸🏻♀️
Very predictable, the heroine had no backbone and the smut tried to have an effect but ended ridiculous. And to top it all off, the hero wanted to impregnate her - as to keep her at his side - and the heroine agreed. 🙄

Quickie Review: It has been some time since we have gotten a Fiona Davenport mafia romance. Sure we have seen the DeLuca’s from time to time in their mc stories. But I was so happy to be back in their mafia world. So much so, I didn’t want this story to end. I truly loved everything about Rafa and Vivienne. He was a man obsessed with his woman and I wouldn’t have my Davenport man any other way. I absolutely recommend this book and look forward to more. 5 Stars.
Yes! Rafa (Raffaele) definitely fell first - immediately upon Vivienne quite literally running into him. I hate to think what would have become of her if she had not run into him of all people. It didn’t take long for Vivienne to fall as well. Their story is very passionate and laced with an element of danger. Rafa is by no means a good guy, but he is the best guy for her. Loved their story. Love all the connecting threads to other series. 💜
Amo un monton este bellisimo y maravilloso libro . amo un monton al bellisimo y maravilloso protagonista porque es muy fiel , muy romantico y muy dulce con la protagonista . amo un monton las escenas de sexo tan apasionadas y ardientes de este libro. le doy un millon de puntos y de estrellas . es una autentica joya literaria . me lo leere un monton de veces y me lo volvere a leer muy pronto .😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
There is something so satisfying about these dangerous men and their insta-love with their women! If you haven’t read the Hounds of Hellfire MC series yet, you should because Raffaele is related to Ink! Love it!!
The DeLuca crime syndicate is a formidable entity, and Raffaele is a figure who demands respect. Vivienne’s accidental collision with him, while escaping her dreadful fiancé, determines her fate. He aims to ensure her safety and claim her as his own.
The story’s gripping drama and danger kept me turning the pages effortlessly. Vivi is just what Rafa needs, and it was fun to see him care for her. The sizzling chemistry and connection between the couples in their stories are what I love most about this author duo’s work. I got exactly what I wanted with that HEA, and I’m excited for the next book in the series.
This is a must-read; afterwards, explore their catalog for more captivating books, and interconnected series. Well worth your time to do so. I received an ARC (thank you) and happily leave this review.
*Contains SPOILERS* Hmmm… how do I rate this book? I’m unsure because it has things that I like, but things that I strongly don’t like. Rafa’s story was very much awaited because he appears in several books. I know that it was going to be a tough one in a way because he is in the mafia, the King of the South, and the underboss of Nick Deluca. And I liked how he handled Chet at the beginning when he saved Vivienne from Chet. But afterwords there were things that I really didn’t like.
She basically changed a cage for a different one. Even though in several occasions, it is mentioned that it wasn’t like that. But in truth, it was, at least in the beginning. Starting from the first night she stayed at Rafa’s house where he already had the lock of her door inverted so he could lock her in her room. If that’s not a cage, I don’t know what is. It doesn’t matter if he didn’t want her to wander off and get lost in the mansion or see something she shouldn’t have. He could just put a bodyguard or a server to guide her and put her at ease. I didn’t like much of her character starting with when she asked the cook if her door was locked, and the answer was that yes because Rafa was worried she would get lost on her way to the kitchen. Her thought was that it was a logical reason to be locked in her room. Like… what!!! I wish she would’ve been braver and stronger when she told Rafa that she had to think about him being mafia and wanted to go; if he didn’t want her to leave the mansion at least she could’ve gone to her guestroom and think. Instead, he locked her in his office and sexed her until she admitted she was his and basically she just surrendered. She was controlled her whole life by her parents and then by her ex fiancé, and now she is being controlled in a more forceful way, and she doesn’t fight back to escape the life she had before??!! I don’t mean she should leave Rafa, obviously she loves him, and he loves her. I wanted to see a little more resistance from her so he knew that if he really loved her, he couldn’t control her and that she had guts. She would’ve been the Queen of the South, strong and brave, even in front of the King of theSouth.
If he was keeping her in his mansion, just to keep her safe, why couldn’t he explain that to her and have bodyguards with her? To me, it felt like he kidnapped her and caged her.
Yes, for the rest, he did treat her well. And he was really tough, true alpha, a true under boss like he was.
I wanted to see the interaction of Vivienne and her parents, maybe with Rafa by her side. But that was excluded. Bummer.
Here comes the highlight of the book to me and the part that I loved most. Three MCs got together with the mafia to deal with Chet!!!. Reading how Mac appeared to support Rafa, Fox was there and also King. That was epic. And when they threatened Chet, Rafa in front of him, and all the guys behind him, a wall of tough men supporting Rafa… that was the best part!!! Each of their answers… like wow!!
This book would’ve been awesome if Vivian would’ve been a stronger character. At least that’s my opinion I didn’t like how easily she surrendered.
SAFE - H experienced, h virgin - ow/om: her ex-fiancé - separation/breakups: no - cheating/sharing: nope - possible triggers: abuse from ex-fiancé, violence - HEA: yes
Good and entertainment plot. Good rounded characters. Rafa is the right-hand man of the head of the mafia, and with such a position, he is expected to deal with "wet work," which he has never had a problem with. The last thing he expects when he is dealing with a late payer is to come face to face with his queen. Little or nothing fazes him, so he doesn't waste time to make her his. Recommended
Now we get a new mafia series that is connected to the Silver Saints, the Hounds, the Iron Rouges and the DeLuca crime family in NYC. Rafa is the underboss of the DeLuca crime family and the King of the South, when his future wife literally runs into him his whole life changes. Vivienne is arranged to marry the future governor of Tennessee, but when he gets physical with her she runs finally away. Rafa and Vivienne fall head over heels for each other. When someone threatens his woman, Rafa will move heaven and earth for her. Awesome start of a new series. Can't wait for the next story❤️ Instalove, age gap, sweet, steamy, romantic, mafia lite, with a bit of action and a bit of violence , fun to read and totally safe with an awesome HEA😍😍😍😍
3.6✨’s • Classic Fiona material which I absolutelyfreakingadore💗🫶🏾 I gotta give my sissy’s their props because a little more was sprinkled in this one though. I would’ve liked some more torture, but still this was scrumptious. Plus, I love me a “you’re not leaving me!” MMC 😂
What would’ve given this 4-5✨’s is if we would’ve received some closure on what happened to Vivi & her parents. I would assume she cut all ties, but did she? Also, I would’ve loved atleast one date day/night w/ the couple.
Rafa (Underboss) + Vivienne’s love story💖
Anywhooo... ⚠️ + Info: -Instalove -Dual POV -Virgin h🍒 & H is experienced but definitely not a man304 -No: OWD, push/pull, separation, sharing, or 3rd act break up -OMD: story starts w/ h being engaged to OM, but she runs away from him when he hits her. She has no romantic feelings for him at all. -Cheating: not to me, BUT she was engaged and she never technically called the engagement off verbally. It was just implied when she ran off. -Murder + torture: not gory @ all -Side characters: Loved all of the H’s familia, h had no one but them ♥️ -HEA: Married w/ babies💖

This keeps to being Fiona Davenport’s bread and butter with a sweet instalove romance that’s great for a quick read. But unlike the MC romances I’ve read by them, this Mafia romance was a touch darker and kinkier. I was so here for it!
Vivienne is a southern belle , bred to be someone’s wife . Unfortunately she didn’t grow up feeling the unconditional love of her parents. Forced to be engaged to a politician she was emotionally mistreated . She was to be seen and not heard … at a party he puts his hands on her and she runs … right into the hands of Rafaelle , ruthless underboss of the Italian mafia , king of the south . He takes her home w him where he declares YOU ARE MINE !
Forced proximity Enemies to lovers Mafia romance OTT possessive FMC V FMC TRUE LOVE Kidnapping
*The Mafia King’s Stolen Fiancee* is the first book in the DeLuca Crime Family series, and let me tell you, it’s a fantastic read! For the past two years, Vivienne has found herself stuck in a loveless engagement to an abusive fiancé that her parents are pushing her to marry. But when she finally sees a chance to escape, she takes it—and bumps into a super hot and charming guy.
When Raffaele turns around and sees her, he can’t believe his eyes. He vows that she is his and promises to keep her safe from everyone. Even though Vivienne doesn’t know much about Raffa, she feels way more secure with him than with her ex or her parents. The moment they lock eyes, the chemistry is off the charts! Even when Vivienne learns who Raffa really is, she realizes she’s not scared of him at all; in fact, she loves him for the person he is.
This book is so well written! The characters are engaging, and it’s packed with steamy, spicy moments that make it hard to put down. I also adored the crossover with the Silver Saints, Iron Rogues, and my absolute favorite, the Hounds of Hellfire! The author does a brilliant job of connecting all these stories while still making each book a standalone adventure. I’m already looking forward to the next installment in this exciting new series. I love it!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve been looking forward to the Southern Branch of the DeLuca family since Matteo/Ink was introduced in the Hounds of Hellfire Series. These men live life dangerously, but love fiercely and I am here for it! What a meet cute this was, with a hint of danger and secrets and insta love. Rafa knew as soon as Vivienne ran into him that she was his soulmate. He was OTT possessive and extremely protective and it was exactly what she needed. Vivienne was sweet and a touch naive, and she needed Rafa in her life to show her that she was worthy of being loved. She tried to hold out loving him after figuring out who he was, but their love was inevitable. Their relationship was fast, full of steam and a whole lot of love. I do wish there was a bit more closure on her family situation, but it was definitely implied as to what happened. No cheating or OM/OW drama, virgin FMC, dual POV, lite breeding kink, HEA and 2 epilogues in the future. Can’t wait to see Domenico fall for Gabbi, she seems like she’ll be a handful in the best way!
This was a steamy mafia instalove romance with Rafa DeLuca, the King of the South—the underboss of the Italian mafia in Georgia—and Vivienne, an innocent and gullible young woman who was engaged to a POS political wannabe who first verbally and then physically abused her. After running away from him, she ran straight into Rafa, mistaking him for a wealthy businessman. Promising to protect her, he takes her home with him with absolutely no intention of ever letting her leave.
Although it received tons of glowing reviews, this wasn’t one of my favorites. First, I thought Rafa was kind of an alpha-hole, NOT my preferred MMC and then he was locking her in her room and limiting where she was allowed to go in his home when he refused to even entertain the idea of her leaving. That’s not love to me.
I realize the sweet (but steamy) romances I prefer aren’t everyone’s preference so don’t let what I say put you off, read it for yourself, see what you think. For me though, 4 stars!
I received a copy of this book for free from Instalove Influencers but am voluntarily leaving a review.
After Chet, her fiancé physically assaults her, she flees and runs into Raffaele. When Rafa sees her face, he is filled with rage. He becomes her dark knight, coming to her rescue. He protects her and brings her to his home, where she will be safe. Rafa intends to claim her as his own.
Who doesn't love a hot, possessive, protective man who will come to your rescue and shower you with love and attention, not to mention a fancy new wardrobe and his baby in her belly and his ring on her finger? 😏
This book was so good. Loved that we got an update on the guys from the clubs and mafia’s. Rafa and Vivienne proved just like the other guys that you can literally run into your forever love. ❤️ Vivienne realized that she could not sacrifice herself for her family and decided that she needed to get away from her fiancé when she realized that he is not what she was looking for in a husband. Rafa on the other hand was dishing out punishment for being wronged. While running away she runs right into Rafa and you guessed it, bam love at first sight. The book has everything romance, protectiveness, possessiveness and a whole lot of spice. This is another great one from the dynamic duo. Keep them coming!!!!
Raffaele DeLuca can steal me anytime!!!! I love it when the man falls first and Rafa did just that. Vivienne was running away from her fiancé, a loveless engagement and a caged life when she quite literally ran right into her future, Rafa. Rafa is known as the "King of the South" and he will stop at nothing to make Vivienne his Queen.
I loved the progression of their story. While it was not as fast paced as the Mc books that it interconnects with, it is just as steamy and equally as hard to put down. I loved all the side characters and I can't wait for the next in the series.
Rafa and Vivienne were a great start to the DeLuca Crime Family south series.
A mafia boss and a runaway bride meet unintentionally. Destiny lead them there. The chemistry between them is electric, with just the right mix of tenderness and intensity. Vivienne’s innocence softens Rafa’s hardened heart, while his strength makes her feel safe in his very dangerous world. It’s love at first sight, literally! Besides the beautiful love story, I loved how Rafa’s family easily adopted Vivienne, especially because of all the pain her biological family caused her, she found her true family. If you’re like me and loves a good insta-everything book, featuring a possessive Italian ready to protect his woman at all cost, this book will melt your heart!
I'm so relieved that Rafa is the first one to have this story. I was intrigued to him when he was first introduced in Ink's book. It was definitely Rafa who first fell for Vivienne after there encounter. But Vivienne didn't fell behind from falling to Rafa as well. Their chemistry is hot and steamy. I absolutely love that Rafa will do anything for Vivienne to protect her. Rafa definitely fits Alpha-Male character from Fiona Davenport ML's.
I love this book and I can't wait for the next book already.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fantastic! It's brilliant to head back to the DeLuca family, especially with the interlinking characters such as Ink, King, Mac, Nic to name but a few. This series starter really was a family affair and I am here for it. Rafa and Vivienne are pure heat and chemistry that is off the page. I know this is an instalove story, but it just hits differently with how perfect their written. We've got mafia romance, instalove, short read, series starter, drama, interlinking characters, steamy scenes, virgin FMC, alpha MMC and a HEA. Everything you want from Fiona 5/5 stars!
5 stars. Raffaelle (Rafa) is the perfect book boyfriend. Morally grey, super sweet to his woman, protective, over the top, and a dirty talker. My favorite kind of MMC. Great start to the DeLuca Crime Family: South series. Vivienne comes from a loveless family and an abusive fiance. Vivienne and Rafa are perfect for each other. Whereas Vivienne is soft Rafa is hard and unfeeling except with his woman. I loved the cross over with the Silver Saints (Mac), Iron Rogues ( Fox) and Hounds of Hellfire (King). A great read with entertaining characters.
This was so good! Just the right balance of dark mafia and romance. Love the way the books tie into each other so we get glimpses of other characters.
Rafa is so commanding as the boss but has a soft side for his family and finds a protective adoring side for Vivienne.
Vivienne has been raised by less than loving parents to be a “Trophy Wife” but longs to be safe and loved. She finds safety, love and happiness with Rafa.
Over the top protective males who love their women and families are the best and Fiona Davenport delivers every time!
I am amazed at all the 5 star reviews. I love a good mafia romance, but this was more hilarious and cringy than it was good. The number of analogies used like 'perky globes' 'blue pools' 'hard ridge' were bad enough, but in the context it made me laugh out loud. I felt embarrassed by the writing itself. If your looking for a funny play on mafia romances that doesn't build much background and meanders through the plot but moves lightning fast (12 hours?) into them falling in love, this is the book for you. A lot of cervix hitting as well which isn't the best way to describe things lol.

This book was absolutely amazing! So many crossovers from other Fiona Davenport books. Vivienne is running from her fiancée after a horrible fight and she runs right into Raffaele DeLuca, The King of the South. Once look at her and he knows he will do whatever it takes to keep Vivienne safe and make her his. This was a great start to a new series with the added bonus of many loved heroes from other books. I cant wait for the next one!
Love Vivienne & Rafa! Their story is a little longer than a typical Fiona book & I loved the extra page time. Rafa rescues Vivienne & gives her a safe space to stay. She thinks it's just overnight, but he's determined to make it forever. 😁 Spoiler alert - Rafa's very good at getting what he wants.
I enjoyed the way these two are with each other, and the slower burn. Never fear, the 🌶🔥🌶🔥🌶🔥 ignites at just the right time! And!! Super cute epilogue.
An engaging read where a morally grey MMC and an innocent but feisty FMC create some sizzling chemistry! Vivienne, running from a dangerous situation, literally crashes into her future. Raffaele, known as the cold and vicious "King of the South", looks into her eyes and knows she is his. I enjoyed this first of a new series and was excited when some of my favorites from other stories had cameos. Looking forward to more!
I loved Raffa and Vivian's story! Rescued by the King of the south, Vivian is shown what love and care really is. Such an awesome story that I could not out down!! Raffa is completely unapologetic when he takes what he wants and seeing Vivian for the first time, she knows that she is his and will stop at nothing! Absolutely fantastic quick read full to the brim of heat, drama and a little touch of torture! What's not to love!
