After the devastating ending in the previous book, I was dying to know what would happen next. Story is back in the hands of the prince, and she did it to save Hettie, so I was a little worried, but I didn’t need to be. Story is a fighter and has only gotten stronger as the story continues. She gave Emyr her best and never backed down. She held that fire and spirit for the entire book. It was awesome. Zavin is lucky, and he knows it. Could he get any more swoon-worthy? Zavin's love for Story shines so brightly. He would do anything for her, and he proved it. I loved it.

There wasn't a single boring moment in this book. It was pretty much nonstop and full of surprises. One heartbreaking revelation shocked me and caused a couple of tears, but there were more than enough good surprises. One really sweet moment with Hettie comes to mind.

A Story of Mates and Temptation was exceptionally good. I was surprised that this was the end of Story's story, however, I couldn't have asked for a better ending. It was perfect. Besides, this isn't the end. I have a feeling I know who the focus will be on in the next book, and I'm looking forward to reading it.

Captivating. Exciting. The previous book ended on a cliff hanger/ thankfully this book did not draw it out for a painful amount of time. Easy read. Not emotionally destructive. Great end- leaves room for another book - or it can end there and be fine.

Highly disappointed in the lack of character development, story development, and how repetitive the sentences were in one paragraph. The lack of "OMG" that was in this book, compared to the second one, is jaw-dropping. I got to a point where I was skimming the last 10 chapters just to get to the point. I was overly excited to finish it after finishing the second book yesterday. This book lacked EVERYTHING the first two books had. ):

War was very short but she said fuck it let’s just end it rn. And I like that because I feel like war can be dragged on in books when it doesn’t need to be. There was not very much loss which I think adds to the war arc most of the time.
I wish she was turned into a half vampire type thing and she was taken by emyr for a bit longer, that may have been the previous book but I digress. I feel like we were rushed towards the end. Boom we have more magic boom we won. Like no training no nothing we’re just tearing shit up. Twas hard to put down because of the speed of the though.

Superb ending. Enjoyed this book very much.

What an amazing ending to this series. I’m going to miss these characters. Story and Ziven are a couple that you will never forget. I love how Story’s story ended. They fought for a life that they all wanted. Definitely a unputdownable series.

They don’t match

I really want to keep my review as short as possible. But one of my biggest issues with this book is that the offer seem to be rushing through the story. There were large amount of time that was skipped instead of writing out what happened recap was put in.

The stories also don’t match the first book or the other books in the first or second book it is mentioned that he has a power but he doesn’t have control over it. And this book she suddenly gets a power from the deity. It was also mentioned that the bodyguard and the prince mother was friends with the main character‘s mother and they interacted and the mother knew she was alive. Another plot point that was changed. I do not think the author really spent time thinking and plotting out the story.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so captivated by a book that I read it in one sitting—until now. This is a true page-turner that kept me hooked from beginning to end. From the fast-paced plot to the deeply emotional moments, this book had everything I needed for an unforgettable reading experience.

The way the story unfolds is brilliant, with unexpected twists that never feel forced. The pacing is perfect, and the plot never slows down, keeping you on the edge of your seat. Bailey excels in creating a world that feels both familiar and fresh, making it hard to put the book down.

But what truly made this book special for me was the emotional depth of the characters. The redemption arcs of some of them brought me close to tears. I won’t spoil too much, but let’s just say I was *almost* crying about dragons—a testament to Bailey’s ability to make us care so deeply about her characters and their journeys.

And then there’s the ending—just when you think you’ve seen it all, Bailey throws in a surprise that took my breath away. It’s rare that a book leaves you with such a satisfying yet shocking conclusion, but this does it flawlessly.

G. Bailey has yet again exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a book that combines adventure, heart, and a little bit of magic, this one is a must-read. I can’t recommend it enough.

brilliant last book of the series

At the end of the last book, Story Dehana found herself recaptured by Emyr the vampyre prince who was obsessed with her. Maeve was injured, Ziven missing, Hettie lost in the wild. The fae and the dragon riders scattered against the might of the vampyres. All hope seems lost.

However, there is always darkness before the dawn.

Can the fate of the world be changed by Story Dehana, lessborn fae, blood slave, dragon rider, descendant of the lost Twilight Dynasty and the entwined mate of the Sun and Moon Kings?

I’ve been waiting for this 3rd book in the series for a few months now and it didn’t disappoint. Story is such a strong FMC and I love that she basically reached her lowest over and over again but rose to survive whatever has been thrown at her to become a powerful person in her own right, able to protect herself and those she loves. Brilliant book!

A Story of Mates and Temptation the third and final book of the series finds MFC dragon rider
Story Dehana now a captive of the vampyre Emyr, and for her this is a fate worse than death.
The adventure will continue even as the Fae have suffered many losses and Story fears Ziven is now lost to her too.
Loved the engaging writing, well crafted characters, intrigue, deities, world building, spice, secrets, emotion, dragons, danger, and suspense which kept the storyline moving at a fast pace, and ultimately led to a perfectly hard won HEA.

This book truly will send you on an emotional rollercoaster. There are many twists and turns and surprises galore throughout and it is a fitting end to Story and Ziven's journey. You really do become engaged with the characters and what they are going through, a testament to how good G Bailey's writing is. As Story and Ziven have their own individual battles to deal with, when they come together for the final battle, they do so with the strength of those around them and their dragons. Dragons that have their own story and plans. I adored this series and this book in particular. If you have yet to read this series, I recommend you do, you won't be disappointed.

With the romance and swooning quotes in book 2, it ended on a cliffhanger and this is exactly where it picks up. Prince Emyr has Story back in his clutches...to be his bride...but things dont always happen because you want it to. Story fights back from the moment she wakes up and I love that she never gives up, wont give in.

We end up at the tipping point and then the action is there! Deals made and bargains struck, War begins!

There were some amazing moments that made me cheer and laugh, made me swoon. But it was a wonderful way to finish the series. It really was soo good and I loved that Story is strong, never gives up....and most of all, loves books!

“ The vampyres have ruled for too long and the fae will not be slaves forever. I am Story Dehana, a lessborn fae, a blood slave, a dragon rider and finally a descendant of the lost Twilight Dynasty ”
This is the third and final book of the series about a dragon rider called Story. It’s been one hell of a ride full of action, danger, suspense, secrets and dragons and once started I could not stop reading! Incredible world building, exciting and thrilling storyline, it’s fast paced and gripping as the author does a fantastic job of pulling it all together as secrets are revealed and our FMC gets an ending, hard earned but worthy.

Awesome Series !!! . . .

This story is a fast-paced exciting read with intense action, world building, character development, and some really good plot twists. The reader is carried along as the story line holds our attention and creates emotional attachments to the characters that make us connect and care about what happens to them. So much is happening, and any book that has dragons in it has to be outstanding!!! Honestly, this series is absolutely worth your time to read and enjoy (and it’s never too late to get started)!

G. Bailey delivers a gripping fantasy romance packed with fated mates, supernatural battles, and a heroine who refuses to break. Story Dehana has lost everything her home, her allies, and her freedom but she's not going down without a fight. With dragons, ancient deities, and a war brewing between fae and vampyres, this book is an epic mix of action, passion, and heart-stopping twists.

If you love high-stakes fantasy with irresistible romance and badass heroines, A Story of Mates and Temptation is your next obsession.

Dragon riders are all the rage right now. If you loved/hate The Empyrean series G. Baily's Lost Fae Riders will be your next go to. This series is well written compared to the other dragon riders series.

I loved this 3rd book. There was so many things going on within the story line. It kept me engaged and wanting soo much more by the time it ended. I cannot wait for the final book in the series.

A Story of Mates and Temptation

This has been an interesting series. I originally thought as I read book 1 that the story was confusing to read and get the character development but as I continued reading the need to rally for Story. There were many hurdles in her way as she fought the Vampire Royals. Book 2 was dealing with the Fae Royals and the associated power struggles & Book 3 continued that struggle but compounded by the 2 Royals (Fae and Vampires) wanting Story.

All good stories must come to an end. Story finds out a very big secret that Ziven was keeping from her and is told a big secret of her own. She has to make a choice for a future she wants to have. The time comes for a big last showdown but who will win and who will be lost. There was some very sad and very happy moments in this but it might not really be the end.

I really liked this series. I feel like it could have been a duology because the last book felt so rushed. Like we went through 2 other books to get to the major battle and then it’s all over in a chapter? I did like that there were different unlikely couples that helped make victory possible but everything felt like cliff notes because nothing deeper was really developed, but maybe their stories will be told in spin offs.

I have always loved G. Bailey and her stories. I will be honest, I started this series with "Vow" because of the attractive cover, having no clue what it was about, and I fell in love with the characters and the flow. Each book keeps me engrossed and turning the page. I really enjoy the fantasy aspect as it encourages me to immerse myself in the story. I can not wait to see whats next.

A Story of Mates and Temptation, book three of the Lost Fae Riders series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). This delightful conclusion to a wonderful series was fast-paced and full of surprises. Story was such a strong protagonist, I'll be reading more from this writer if this character sets the standard.

Story's story comes to an epic end!!! A+++ writing by G. Bailey

G. Bailey has created an epic end for the fae, their dragons, and vampires. The actual war's ending is a little less detailed than I would have liked but Ziven and Story's end is just the beginning. So many possibilities!

great book !!

This was a great finale to this part of the story. It was filled with many unexpected surprises and plenty of spice. It t wrapped up things well but had a few name mistakes and other inconsistencies that had me stumbling a bit but not enough to drive me away by any means

Really like the way the story came together!
And honestly the pregnancy trope didn’t bother me at all. Like this was an amazing way to have the story wrapped together and end as it did.
Well till we get Wren’s story as well ahah.

Glad to have wrapped up this storyline but overall it felt a bit rushed and the final battle was anticlimactic imo. I am excited though for book 4 with a new cast of main characters. Already added to my TBR.
