This is book 4/11 of Bill Salus' prophetic / eschatological series. It deals with the prophecies in Jeremiah relating to Elam (located in Iran). We are told about the Bushehr nuclear reactor which has been build with (30-40 year) old technology from Russia and Germany, and located in an area which contains three seismically active tectonic plates.
It is very likely that the Israeli defence force will, at some point in the future, attack this plant to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear threat to Israel. This will happen somewhere between the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38/39 prophecies. As a result, many people living on the region will flee to live in other countries of the world, and evade the nuclear fallout, which will also affect the groundwater planes of several other countries in the region.
This is a very informative and well written book, and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Bill has done a lot of research to make so many prophecies relevant... simply identifying the names of current place to their ancient counterparts helps us to understand.
Elam, as mentioned in Jeremiah, is Western Iran... and if you've been paying attention to the news for the last year or two, it keeps coming up... in fact President Trump stopped a retaliatory strike against Western Iran after something they did because 15 Iranians would have been killed, and he didn't want to escalate the situation, no one was hurt from what they had done to US.
If we had carried through with that attack, we could have very well knocked over the domino that would have started the fulfillment of all these remaining prophecies prior to the tribulation... Jer 49, Isaiah 17, Psalm 83, and so on (not necessarily in that order).
I had the blessing of hearing Bill present on these prophecies at the World View Conference in Seattle in 2018 (Bellevue, WA actually, hosted by Antioch Bible Church) and then getting to visit with him afterward and discuss additional details about prophecy. I get his newsletters and encourage others to read his books, but more importantly to Study the Bible carefully. Bill earned my respect for his careful handling of the Word of God.
Bill signed the copy of the book I got from him with these verses:
Jer 49:34 That which came as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying:
Jer 49:35 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Behold, I am going to break the bow of Elam, The finest of their might.
Jer 49:36 'I will bring upon Elam the four winds From the four ends of heaven, And will scatter them to all these winds; And there will be no nation To which the outcasts of Elam will not go.
Jer 49:37 'So I will shatter Elam before their enemies And before those who seek their lives; And I will bring calamity upon them, Even My fierce anger,' declares the Lord, 'And I will send out the sword after them Until I have consumed them.
Jer 49:38 'Then I will set My throne in Elam And destroy out of it king and princes,' Declares the Lord.
Jer 49:39 'But it will come about in the last days That I will restore the fortunes of Elam,'" Declares the Lord.

I just heard Bill Salus at the Prophecy In The News Pikes Peak Summit. Rushed out to buy his book and finished reading it that night. Wow, what depth of understanding and wisdom on a tough topic. Well done.
