A group of college friends heads to a cozy log cabin in Alaska for the perfect winter break. But there’s something about that snow. Something eerie. Something alive. Emma senses it first—a haunting presence, watching, waiting. As laughter turns to screams and the blizzard tightens its grip, they’ll discover the chilling truth: the wilderness doesn’t just surround them… it’s hunting them. After being snatched away by the beast, Emma learns just how far the survival instinct will push her.
Primal Snow is a mix of pitch-black monster romance and a classic ’90s slasher that will trap you in the protagonist’s spiraling mental state. It’s a wild ride with a twisted HEA. Be sure to read the author’s note first. For more info, visit the author’s website.

This was filthy monster smut. I loved it. That ending!!! Imagine hiking through the snow, thinkin you're alone, and yall walk straight into a yeti porn. 🤣
omg .... this book I'm not sure what to say , its very very dark , very addictive and very 🤯🤯👀👀🥵🥵😮😮 what that yeti did ... how Emma first reacts to it to when she reacts to it later , I really did not want this book to end , Epic !!!
Read the trigger warnings!! Because Riley knows how to write the books🥵 I thought it was going to be based in a holiday vacation but nooooo it was a weekend getaway that turned into a Slasher Movie with a hint of Monster and Non Verbal MMC. I could not put this book down, love itttt!!!!🖤🖤
I went into this being aware of the Trigger Warnings and can I just say, Wow. I was honestly so blown away but in the best ways. Please pay attention, this is NOT a romance and even the HEA is...I mean depends on perspective, I suppose? That being said, it is such a fun and intriguing read! I loved the 80s slasher feel of it. Silly college kids go to remote cabin in the mountains...blood, gore, and mayhem galore. Plus, spice that was hot 🔥 🥵 (Please not that a lot of it begins very non-con, dub-con, but it doesn't stay that way entirely). Yeti is...so interesting to me. I love the fact he can't speak, that communication limitation sets things even more askew. Though I do like to think that he could at least mostly understand. Maybe.
I'll stop rambling but seriously, if you pay attention to the trigger warnings and understand that this is NOT a romance and the HEA is...HEA-ish lol...then check this out. I really hope there's a part 2 or something in the same universe because I burned through this like fire to paper.

This is the first “creature” romance I have read. Wow. Where do I begin?
The FMC is relatable which I loved, she hates the cold, the snow and just wants her vacation with her new boyfriend to go perfect. But she can’t seem to shake this worried feeling the entire trip, like something is watching her. Waiting to make its presence known.
After the Yeti makes himself known, all her friends are slaughtered. She has no choice but to run and try to escape, yeti has different plans for her though.
Through the story she struggles with wanting to escape, which she does try a couple times. Each time he brings her back, claiming her as his with more force and his ribbed c*ck. She soon gives up and lets him have her with no struggle or resistance from her.
I loved every single bit of writing in this book, it wasn’t cheesy, over dramatic or silly. Truly was such a crazy, thrilling and surprising read! Yeti can’t talk, but he knows what she needs and takes care of her.
If you are looking for a paranormal creature read, this is it!!!

I will read anything by Riley C. Smith! This under 200pg book I could read in one sitting of my lifestyle allowed for ot. Slasher, 1980s, horny college students in a cabin just partying having a good time vibes. until the madness breaks out!! 🔪🩸🧊🥶🌶🌶🌶🌶 It's giving you all that horror and gore you are warned about in the very detailed trigger warnings ( This is NOT a romance, but we do have some ice melting spice included ). Right away, I grew a connection with the MFC and invested in her journey to survive an out of control slasher nonverbal Yeti that just wants to..... Excellent quick thrilling read as always!
Another great story by Riley C. Smith. I loved the horror feel of this book along with the consuming spice. Though Yeti doesn't/ can't speak you get the idea that he sort of understands Emma. I loved Emma's character, and that she knew if she was going to survive she had to do everything in her power.
Don't get it twisted though, there's nothing romantic about this book, and that gives a better element to the smut in this book.
If you're in your monster era, this is the book for you! Run and read it.
This book was definitely one wild, crazy ride! If you’re looking for a fluffy romance, this isn’t it. But if what you want is very little plot, gore, and a ton of smut, then this is the book for you!! It was a quick read, but it kept me interested and invested till the very end. Definitely check the TW before reading!
I was sent an ARC copy of this book, and the first I have read from this author. I think I shocked myself with how much I loved it. I loved Emma's character and her internal monologue. I found myself smiling and laughing, which I shouldn't be whilst reading a monster smut book. I found that Riley was able to write in such a way that I felt connected to the Yeti and felt his emotions. I'm probably a bit twisted considering what he does in this book 🤣 Riley has now been added to Mt favourite author list, and I'm heading off to add more books to my list.
If you want a cute romance this book is not for you, if you want filth... yes. Read it.
I loved this book so much. The female MC was so funny she constantly made me laugh. Riley's writing style is hilarious and the smut is very very good. I never was into monster smut until I read Riley's books!
The gore was good, the smut was good, the storyline was good. Riley writes it, I read it.
Filthy Monster smut holy smokes!! Riley C Smith making every chapter end with the intent to not put down and just keep going. The 🌶️🌶️🌶️ was wild detailed. Blew me away. Her books never disappoint.
Primal Snow combines my two favourites: monsters and horror erotica.
I loved it. It is fast paced, hot, gory and gives us a HEA but fitting for horror.
Emma is beautiful, bright and can’t believe this is happening to her. She’s away on a trip with her friends and charming, super sexy boyfriend when everything goes sideways. She’s pursued by a yeti. A freaking YETI.
Yeti notices Emma and has to have her. He takes her from her friends by lethal force. He takes incredible care of her… to his standard. Humans tastes are different, she eats her meat cooked and she can’t really withstand the cold. So fragile. So tiny and so untouched. He is her first, and will be her only.
Emma and Yeti start to come to some common ground by finding a rudimentary gesturing language amongst themselves. And she starts to crave him, where she used to be horrified by his touch, now she NEEDS him. Wants him as much as he wants her.
I loved the end. I hope we get to see more of these two in the future.
Wow!! I was lost for words initially after finishing this book! But I had to read in one hit, it needed to be read this way. I felt for Emma. For her loss, for the changes her life took. For what she endured before and during her time with her Yeti! The heat was off the scale, but I did love how their relationship formed. I will admit to thinking of art that could show some of the scenes in this story, it was erotic, violent but gripping to the end. Thank you for an emotional, erotic ride with two amazing characters. Thank you for having me on board your team and can't wait to see what you create next!
A group of college students go to Alaska for a getaway and let's just say, the rumours about what lurks in the wilderness is true. But Emma, who's been against this trip from the very beginning, is discovers the depths she'd sink to, to survive.
Holy s word that was effing amazing. Pure, dark, unadulterated, monster smut. Dare I say new favourite author? I do dare say I'm about to read everything Riley C Smith has written.

Primal Snow is a monster romance by author Riley C. Smith. This is my first book by this author, and I can't wait for more!!!
This book is packed full of monster smut! It gives you a taste of predators and prey and some captor vs. captive. Bondage, primal chase, and blood play are also included. And for those that want to know… the beast stays a beast THE WHOLE TIME.
I received an advanced copy, and this is my honest review.
This is definitely not my normal style of book. However, it was weirdly good. Definitely left me questioning myself. This is more a slahser/horror followed by a hea bought on by Stockholm syndrome. Truly nothing romantic about it, hense not my usual jam. But, the horror elements were well written, if not exceedingly graphic. Definitely not one for the faint-hearted, so check your triggers and proceed with caution.
I wanted to love this and I did go into this thinking it was a darker read and it was.. It begins as our heroine is on a trip with her boyfriend and friends and basically something happens and she's not with her friends but she's with another creature who can't get enough of her
it has everything I should love but it was just alright to me.
Smith, you have me feeling things... VERY inappropriate things, and I know I shouldn't like it but jeezus I do 🫣 The first third of the book is regular slasher stuff (rip Chase, that one hurt) and the rest is Em trying to survive. What I love about this book is that Em's transformation/ feelings aren't sudden and she truly does fight. Some of the scenes though 👁🫦👁 goodness... I'm cramping!! 🥵🫠
Ugh, I feel like I need a cigarette after that one
This felt like watching a 90s horror movie but with way more steam. I was invested from page one, and then things got violent... in a good way. And yes, I absolutely screamed at the Rhysand mention. Just know going in: the spice is front and center, and make sure you glance at the trigger warnings.
What starts as a classic 90s style slasher story—horny drunk teenagers with their petty dramas being stalked and hunted by some big dark bad from the woods and dying (with gore) one by one—and turns into some absolutely fabulous (but VERY trigger heavy—take care of yourselves, besties and take those warnings seriously!) monster smut with a traumatized HEA.
The spice was top, top tier. For a non verbal monster our Yeti MMC was surprisingly cognizant of a lot of our FMC’s needs. It was definitely not a sweet story, but it hits all the right spots for a quick horror adjacent monster smut read.
I was given an advanced reader copy for free and am leaving a review voluntarily.
Wow, all I can say is this ride is a rough one. It has a sort of HEA, as much as you can with a crazy Yeti. This story of survival meeting your most primal self was insane. It kept me on the edge of my seat trying to see if escape would be possible. Definitely my favorite slash horror of the year.
Good primal monster smut! It was dark and twisted, and that ending was unexpected. I couldn't put it down. Check those triggers because there is a lot.
First and foremost this is a horror NOT a romance, but if you love classic 90’s slasher and monster romance without the romance this is definitely the book for you! What do you get when you throw a group of horny college students on an Alaskan vacation, with hidden dangers and a Yeti? You get Primal Snow, that’s what you get! This was a wild one! The author has done a great job in creating an exciting story, blending horror and monster erotica! From the dedication to the end this monster smut packed, crazy read will keep you glued to your seat.
This spicy and taboo 90s slasher vibe book was great! The slasher parts were definitely some of my favorite bits, and I hope to see more of that style from the author! I recommend everyone check the trigger warnings for this because there are many dark and taboo subjects, including unaliving, monster spice, stalking, kidnapping, and force. The intensity of Stockholm syndrome was kind of scary but so interesting!
