Rate this book
As the world races toward its momentous end-times encounter between good and evil (known in the Bible as Armageddon), a deepening antagonism is developing worldwide against conservative Christians. I learned about Tom Horn since 2011 and I have read everything he has written since then. His books are very explosive and borders on the paranormal, advances in technology and how these technologies will be used by the soon coming world ruler - The Antichrist.

Blood on the Altar is a great book that should be read by Christians especially in the US. Each chapter of the book is written by a different author so you get a lot of useful perspectives reading this book. Authors include Tom Horn, Chris Putnam, Gary Stearman, Sharon Gilbert, Chuck Missler, Terry James and many others.

I enjoyed Tom horns chapter of the book as it relates real stories of the brewing war between Christians. I also liked Sharon Gilbert's gory twist of the future of the internet and how it will be awoken in the future. It's an interesting theory I have never heard before and her chapter is one of my favs.

I liked Chuck Missler's soothing chapter. It tends to give you a feeling that though lots of things are going wrong in this world, that everything is going to be alright at the end.

A hard book to read, but every Believer needs to read it. I think it was a little disjointed with so many contributing authors, but once you get through the book, the weight and magnitude of what was discussed is very heavy.

I like that this book has 11 different authors contributing to it. I got more out of some chapters than others, but overall the book has good current information.

Pretty solid book. A little slow, though, but this isn't really my genre, to begin with. Good stuff in here, for the most part. Lots of different authors I didn't know.

Well written until the end

I was set to give this book a 5 because it gave convincing arguments all through the book about the final war between Christians and those claiming to be Christians. It spoke of current affairs, gave very good analogies about Hitler and similarities to the coming antichrist. At the end it ended with a lame defence of the pre-tribulation rapture and differentiates between the tribulations saints and the saints in this dispensation. Something the bible didn't do. Deliberately twisting words and calling the tribulation. The time of the wrath of God. Which are 2 separate events.

This is just a snapshot of the coming--and very much already present--war between the true saints and the counterfit ones. I keep forgetting how long ago this book came out, and I can't imagine how long it took to actually write it. It teaches so much and keeps Christ at the center. Every page is a warning to get right or get left, and to always be vigilant for what is now here and what is coming. This is a must-read for all the real saints!

This is a great book - actually, it’s a collaborative work by thirteen different prophecy teachers whom I have come to love and respect. It speaks of the coming end time war between Religious Christians and the True Body of Christ Christians. I actually see this happening right now. Each one of these pieces is expertly written and interesting to read and shows the importance of understanding that apostasy in the church is here and now. Keep your eyes on Jesus!

I enjoyed this multi-authored book. One must know that because from the cover, Thomas Horn is listed prominently while the others are listed apart from him. The renown biblical scholar and eschatologist, Thomas Horn only wrote the first chapter, "Forgotten Aspect of Bible Prophecy." With an introduction by another well known eschatologist, Stephen Quayle, the book is a comprehensive collection of End Times writings, examinations, theories and prognostications. The warnings are clear and the insights are well-researched and heartfelt. Among the topics and issues covered are The Tribulation, The New World Order, The Rise of the anti-Christ, growing violence, apostasy, growth of humanism and trans-humanism, the Lucifer Effect, the persecution of the church, and the emergent church. The best chapters are the aforementioned one by Mr. Horn and those written by Gary Stearman, Larry Spargamino, Cris D, Putnam and Douglas W. Krieger & S. Douglas Woodward. Some of the chapters like the ones written by Chuck Missler, Sharon K. Gilbert, and Michael Lake were well-researched but a challenge to understand due to the specialized language and complexity of the concepts. The authors do succeed in presenting the scenario of heresy and apostasy that is ripping the Christian church apart. Overall, the book was a combination of a scholarly and a layman's book. On a personal note, I struggled with reading the scripture passages because the authors selected the King James Version of the bible to cite. I struggle reading the old English.

Probably the most depressing book I have read all year, but as usual Dr Horn is accurate in his assessment of the modern day "church" and the generally abysmal state of the American brand of Christianity as it is commonly practiced. In addition to the prophetic insights and historic research, there is also an exhortation for believers to be thoroughly saturated in Scripture and Biblical principles before the inevitable persecutions. Another great job from one of prophecy's most erudite scholars.

Great book

An exceptional survey and analysis of the condition of the modern "church". When I saw the subtitle Christian vs. Christian I had to read it.

Mostly crap; the author hypocritically contradicts himself though-out the text.
