1. Destiny Begins (Twin Destinies Saga .5) by Cheryl Davis ***3 Stars
Angelica has been forbidden by her family to even so much as look at Thomas and his family gave him a similar rule. The two are drawn together and on a chance touch they find out they are mates. They keep it hidden to avoid the wrath of their families but things don' stay hidden forever. They find both support and hostility and have to be careful about who they trust. The first half was pretty good but the second half was just a rush of information and read more like an outline...with more detail to come later. You don't really find out what they actually are, what this whole prophecy business is about...or really anything that the story revolves around. So, for me, it just kind of fell flat.

2. Crush (Crush Saga 1) by Chrissy Peebles *1 Star (PR)
Taylor moves to California and runs into the supernatural. Like literally, everywhere. Unbelievable situations, unreasonable reactions...This just didn't have a good story, or good characters, or good dialogue.

3. Vampire in Denial (Family Blood Ties 1) by Dale Mayer ***3 Stars (PR)
I thought this book was petty strong. I read t as part of a bundle and have to admit that I wasn't really excited about this one after reading the blurb. However, I got into it right away and finished it pretty quickly. I liked Tessa's character overall, as a teenager who is kind of an outcast (especially in her own mind) she is pretty relatable. My biggest issue was with the second half of the book. I thought that things moved a little too quickly and it was kind of hard to follow where everyone was, who was with who. And I wish there was a more discernible bad guy. But I did enjoy it and will probably read the next in the series.

4. The Coin Collector by Kristen Middleton ***3Stars
A short story about a boy who has to figure out a way to save his little brother from being taken by a leprechaun. Parts Leprechaun folklore mixed with a bit of rumplestiltskin.

5. Element (Natalie Vega Saga 1) by CM Doporto *1 Star (PR)
Honestly, the main character was just a pretentious bitch who looked down on and judged the people around her. Not really someone I care to read about.

6. Kindred (1) by Erica Stevens ***3 Stars (ReRead)
Cassie is a Hunter, specifically a hunter of vampires and she's not thrilled with all that comes with it....the guilt of killing, the much shortened life span and the weight of responsibility. Along comes Devon, a vampire passing through town that is immediately drawn to Cassie (as she is to him). They both ignore obvious signs of what the other is to stay in their blissfully ignorant world wrapped up in each other. But, all good things as they say, there is another vampire in town who doesn't have the sweet disposition of Devon. Despite the fact that they are young, inexperienced and will probably die, Cassie and her fellow Hunters decide to stay and fight. This was an ok story with ok characters...it just didn't draw me in and make me want to know more.

7. Radium Halo's by W.J. May **2 Stars (PR)
A group of friends develops super senses after being trapped in a storm. Kind of generic and things happened exactly how you though they would.

8. Unseen by C.J. Pinard *1 Star
This was a weird kind of Twilight story where Edward helps ghosts move on.

9. Treasured Secrets (Coveted Saga 1) by C.M. Owens *1 DNF Star
This is one of those stories where the main characters life is in danger but no one tells her. So she runs around doing stupid stuff not knowing the extra dangers around her. Though, with Aria, she may have done them anyway. Aria was whiny and slightly bipolar...Tallis was kind of a big jerk playing at being the nice guy and everyone else was just superfluous and interchangeable. I just did not enjoy this a t all and gave up about halfway.

10. Awakening (Guardians 1) by Samantha Long *1 Star (PR)
"Can you believe this? Demons? Lucifer?" This, coming from the shapeshifter who hangs out with a girl who can see the future, a girl who can heal with her hands, a girl who can turn invisible, a guy who can move things with his mind and a guy who can control fire. No, that's where he draws the line on weirdness.

Prequel: Destiny Begins ~ The Twin Destinies Saga - Cheryl Davis

Crush (The Crush Saga, #1) by Chrissy Peebles- 2 stars
When Taylor sparks moves with her family to California her meeting with the locals doesn't go as expected. Her new crush Jesse is hiding something from her.

Really? One stupid mistake after another for the characters. The characters don't have much of an attention span, they jump from one thing to another. Taylor just acts dumb and has no common sense whatsoever. The characters were flat, there was no substance to them at all. I thought the writing was sloppy and the story did not have as much action as I thought it would.

Wonderful

I didn't want the stories to end. Each one is a true adventure. So worth reading. I will be reading the sequels.
