"Another great book by Cathryn Fox! Beautifully written, this may be my new favorite Bucks couple! 5 Star, L. Olinger, Amazon Reviewer.
Sharing a house—and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom—with my brother’s best friend is a special kind of torture. Especially when that man is the one I’ve secretly wanted for years.
But pretending to be his girlfriend at a family gathering? That’s a whole new level of agony. The stolen glances, the whispered questions, the charade—it’s all to get his parents off his back.
It’s fun and games… until I have to share his bed. Close enough to feel his heat, yet miles from what I truly want. It’s an exquisite kind of punishment.
And then Vegas happens. A wedding, a reckless moment, and a single choice that sets off a chain reaction capable of destroying my brother’s trust, his family’s belief in me, and most painfully, my own fragile heart.
Just when I think things couldn’t get worse… they do.
And the only way out might save everyone else—but it’ll shatter me.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. Cathryn lives in beautiful Nova Scotia with her husband, who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. When not writing, Cathryn can be found Skyping with her son living in Seattle (could he have moved any farther away?) shopping with her daughter in the city, watching a big action flick with her husband, or hanging out and laughing with friends.
Sharing not only a house but a Jack-in-Jill bathroom with your brother’s hot looking teammate can be difficult at times, especially when you are trying to concentrate on going to college and romance is the last thing from your mind. But when he asks you to help him out in being his fake girlfriend while he visits his parents and grandmother during the thanksgiving holiday, how can you say no? What you are not expecting though is not only fall in love with him, but also his family (especially his grandma who is hilarious) and maybe putting off romance until you’ve finished your degree isn’t the best idea. Especially when you realize he might be feeling the same way. Now the question is can Taylor and Elias keep the romance on hold for a long time or will a trip to Vegas in order to watch a teammate’s wedding cause more problems than solutions?
This is the latest in Catherine Fox’s Boston Bucks series and it is definitely not disappointing. It took a pretend situation into a whole new level because you have this idea of what his parents are going to be like and in fact they are completely opposite. The spark between the two MC is amazing and shows that anything is possible, even faking it can become a reality. Can’t wait to see if these characters will pop up in other books and how they are doing.
Thanks for an ARC in exchange for my own honest opinion.
Another great book by Cathryn Fox! This one has so many tropes entwined, it’s hard to choose. Elias Ariti is crazy about his best friend’s younger sister. But under the bro code, she is off limits! So he just admires her from afar and treats her like another brother would. Taylor, Kalen’s sister, has always been drawn to Elias, but he’s always treated her like a little sister. But that’s the hast thing she wants from Elias! When she gets a chance to act as his fake girlfriend she jumps at it! But soon the lines begin to blur! Beautifully written, this may be my new favorite Bucks couple!
Pretending to be in a relationship with your best friends younger sister. Hoping that this will keep your family from trying to set you up with someone of their choosing. But when your hidden feelings start bubbling over and then a bunch of craziness gets tossed in what happens next?
Wow, these two have heat that sizzles! After lusting from afar, they have their fake dating solution, and after some innuendo, go for it. Trouble is, it isn’t fake for either of them, and for all their honesty, they both keep that hidden from the other. While they keep up the ruse, their feelings only grow deeper, and then, reality hits them both. After they are finally fully truthful, they can begin their life together <3
