I've spent years hiding from a world that's best forgotten me. I'm a man who prefers the company of the wind to my own kind. Strangers are never welcome.

When a woman who should never have crossed into my territory decides to set up house right on my doorstep, I'm forced to endure the calamity she brings with her. My existence is upended by a redhead tornado hellbent on destroying the peace I've garnered in the remotest corner of Montana.

By the time I've accepted her changes in my life it's too late...I've fallen for the girl who dared poke the proverbial bear. But she's brought a secret to my mountains that means leaving my hidden corner of the world or risk losing everything I've found with the girl who healed me.

Forgotten Mountain Man is part of the multi-authored Whispered Echoes series and has connections to Red Hart Ranch. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, forced-proximity, city girl gets her mountain man romance. Faith is a smart, sassy, and feisty attorney. Walker is a hunky, reclusive, ex-military mountain man. When Faith goes to approach him regarding his father’s estate, she ends up stuck at his cabin for a while. Sparks fly, and things get hot and S-T-E-A-M-Y. But what happens when she leaves? These two were so great together. Their chemistry was pure fire, and we got a very happy ending. There was some minor angst, but in the end, they made it work. I loved it.

Tracking down Walker was not easy. Being stranded on his mountain has been an eye opener for Faith. But back down to earth they both must crash. But will they survive or crash and burn? Good read.

This was a cute fast read with lots of heat.
Faith has one job on her mind, to go up the mountain to get the reclusive Walker to sign off on his late fathers last will and testimony worth millions so that his properties don't get turned into casinos which was what he had spent his life working towards stopping. Faith has spent months trying to get a hold of Walker with no luck, so off she goes, the problem is there's a storm a coming and Walker has no idea just what this storm is about to bring up the Mountain in the form of a feisty red headed beauty 😉

Obviously the storm catches up just as she gets there, but how long does she get stuck with Walker up there? And will she be able to convince him to follow in his Estranged father's footsteps and stop the casino?

Storms and mudslides are on their side

Forgotten Mountain Man by Sofia Aves is part of the multi-author Whispered Echoes - A Spicy Wounded Mountain Man series. This is the first book from the series I have read but definitely not the first by this author. This is a mountain man romance between Faith and Walker. Faith literally drops into Walker's solitary life on the mountain and ends up being there for a while because a storm hits just as she arrives and her a mudslide locks them in place at his cabin. She is a fire-cracker who does not back down and he is meeting his match, and loving it. Their attraction is intense from the start and just keeps growing the longer they are with each other. When it finally explodes it will be more fierce than the storm which landed them together.
This is a very entertaining book with a lovely story and great characters. It was a lot of fun to read.

Forgotten Mountain Man is an intense and sensual slow burn with beautiful and fiery Faith tracking down extreme recluse Walker and refusing to let him hide. The lust hits Walker hard and instantly when he sees Faith at the top of his mountain, and wow is it a delectable moment. I loved getting to know these two and watching their connection blossom in the wild winter weather. This short and steamy love story is as unique as the mountainside home Walker has built. Loved it!.

Loved This Story!

"Forgotten Mountain Man" is the sixth book in the multi-author series "Whispered Echoes: A Spicy Wounded Mountain Man Series." In this story, Faith decides that instead of emailing, calling, or sending a letter to her client’s son about his substantial inheritance, she will visit him in the mountains to discuss it in person. Despite warnings from several people that her plan is unwise due to the incoming bad weather, she sets off anyway.

Walker, an ex-military man, has been living alone in his cabin for over 15 years, ever since his father kicked him out. Shortly after Faith arrives, her truck is swept down the mountain in a mudslide, leaving her trapped with Walker as the rain begins to fall. As they spend time together, they struggle to resist the growing attraction and chemistry between them. Faith gradually begins to break down the emotional barriers Walker has built over the years.

In this short but intense story, the characters are well-developed, blending just the right amount of drama and spice. The fast-paced narrative will keep you on the edge of your seat, making it hard to put down and always leaving you wanting more.

Another great, short, romantic story from Sofia Aves, easily read and enjoyed in one sitting.
Faith Somerset had e mailed, she had messaged, she had phoned, she had even use snail mail, for two years she had tried to finish this case but let him try and get out of it when she turns up on his doorstep.
Faith's client had been dead for two years, she had been trying to contact his recluse son, Walker Roan to settle his twenty million dollar inheritance,
When she broke her journey at Red Hart Ranch, the owners, Travis and Eve tried to dissuade her from journeying up the mountain, a storm was brewing and Faith's car was ancient but sassy Faith wasn't going to be put off, she would settle this once and for all.
When Walker looked out from his remote mountain home, a home built into the mountain, he couldn't believe his eyes, approaching up the track was a clapped out bubble car belching out smoke, no one visited Walker except residents of Red Hart and this wasn't one of their vehicles. The driver steps out, petite, red haired, sassy and determined, Walker knew that this wouldn't be a short visit even though Faith had told her friends that she would be back in a few hours..........then the rain came and kept on coming, no one was going down that mountain.
This story follows potty mouthed Faith and the ruggedly handsome, tattooed mountain man as they faced spending enforced time together in the remote mountains, Walker who had hardly spoken to anyone for years and Faith who wouldn't stop talking. Could Faith convince Walker that he was wrong about his father ? could she convince him that taking up his inheritance would save the beautiful area of Montana from being turned into a cassino ? could she convince him to return to society ?
This is a lovely short story with plenty of romance and lovely characters.

She has been trying to reach a client for months, she has left phone messages and even sent letters, but no response. She decides it’s time to brave the mountain in her little car and confront him in person. What she didn’t realize was that the torrential storm that hits just as she gets there is going to ground her for weeks. He is used to his solitary life. Not only used to it, but prefers it that way. When the little spitfire climbs out of her car, he knows things are about to change. Spending all that time in close quarters with no distraction from the outside world, they lean into their attraction and things get spicy. He is a huge bearded tattooed mountain man with scars from his past both physical and emotional. She is small but mighty used to making her way in the world herself. This is a short story format, so you do not expect to get detailed character development, or complicated plot lines. The author gives you some pretty good character development for short story, I think this is enhanced because most of the story takes place with the two of them in relative isolation and it gives you the chance to focus on just them. The setting is described in amazing detail and you really get a picture in your mind. I felt that for this genre, the story had a lot more depth than is typical. There were a few details that were a little ambiguous for me, mostly concerning his past life with his father and the military so they weren’t terribly integral to the story, but still left me questioning. I enjoyed not only the characters but the story.

Faith is the attorney for the late Chaz Roan and has been trying to have a conversation with his son and only heir, Walker Roan, before the deadline where the bureaucrats decide the future of the land, probably being sold for a large casino which Chaz Roan fought against. Walker had basically left White Cap to live up the mountain in a cabin not even speaking to his father in all those years. Will Faith be able to convince him to claim his inheritance? When she arrived at his cabin, a severe rain storm was coming. In fact, her car was carried away in a mudslide so she was stranded. How they handle the nearly 2 week isolation during the continuing rain? What decision does Walker make? Will there be any compromises?.

A great novella with good characters, a page turner and easy to read which also has a romance with a happy ending.
A couple meets when she goes to tend to some business with a man who lives on the mountain. She stays there due to the rain. The couple gets closer as well as getting intimate during the weeks that they are together.
A couple of days after the rain stops they make their way to a nearby ranch. The next day they at her place of work they tell each other that they love one another. The couple tends to the business that they have together.
They go back to the mountain where his place is and wait for their new place to be done close to town. The couple’s family is growing and they can’t wait. The couple is happy and in love.

After several unsuccessful attempts to reach out to Walker so they could get to a decision about his father's will, Faith decides to go up the mountain where Walker lives to talk to him in person despite the warning from her friends that it would be a bad idea because of the weather.
Soon after she arrives at the mountain and starts talking to Walker, a storm starts and brings some destruction with it. Forced to share the same roof because of the weather, Faith and Walker get to know each other better, at the same time that their constrasting personalities give us some of the best moments in the story.

I've received an ARC of this e-book from the author. All the opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

The best thing about a book by Sofia Aves is that you always enjoy the adventure it will take you on. When I finish one of her books I go back to reread others that are connected to the characters in the story. I loved how Faith slowly wins over Walker with her optimism and outlook about things. She didn't expect to find the man she did but she also found a life that she didn't know that she needed & a man who accepted her for the person she is. Walker didn't like having anyone intrude on his solitude but found that she was able to soothe his rough edges & make him dream of something more than his solitary life!

I like many things about this, the lovely physical contrasts between the main characters Faith & Walker, the descriptions are interesting and add to the story.
I found that despite it being a quick read Sofia's descriptions are still through, the landscape, house and even how the house is built add to the setting and story to make it a good read despite the length being quite short it didn't feel rushed.
The romance is good, not too rushed and not too spicy but enough. I also got enough resolution to feel satisfied at the end.
I didn't mind this story at all, I was lucky to be given an advance copy to read in return for review.

This was a fantastic short read that I enjoyed the whole way through.

A grumpy sunshine mountain man and a woman trying to get her deceased clients will settled.

The deceased client also happens to be the mountain man’s father who he had not seen in over a decade, living on a mountain and refusing to be around civilians

There was some great banter and a little bit of spice through the read.

For someone that is looking for a quick, easy, funny and heartwarming read.. definitely check this out

Faith is a lawyer he decides to pay Walker a visit to discuss the passing of Walker's father and his legacy. Walker is an ex military, who lives in mountain, alone. A storm hits while she's heading up the mountain and she loses her vehicle and almost her life, but she's saved by Walker. Due to the storm, she's stuck in the cabin with walker for a few days and of course one thing leads to another. They banter, they bicker, but the attraction between them grows. I enjoyed this spicy, intense little story.

We follow Walker and Faith, she is tasked with making sure Walker claims his inheritance and has had no success so far. If the mountain man doesn't come down, there is no other option but to go up the mountain and visit Walker. I enjoyed their story and it was also fun to read if she was able to get him to accept his inheritance. A great mountain man romance

2.5 for me. This was a cute story, but the catalyst for the MMC isolating himself, not speaking to his father for nearly 15 years, and not wanting the land was INCREDIBLY stupid. Basically, he admired his dad and didn’t feel as though he could live up to some imaginary expectations, so he stayed away. There was no falling out between the two. No real conflict. Nothing. Outside of this, I really enjoyed the story and would’ve rated it much higher.

Faith is a lawyer. Walker is a mountain man who hasn't left his mountain in years. Faith needs to talk to Walker about his father, but bad weather is coming. Everyone is telling her not to drive up, but she doesn't listen to them. Once she gets up the mountain, a storm arises, and the rest is history. Read this short, sweet story to see what happens with Faith & Walker.

A short but well written story with a nice level of spice, likeable characters and a very enjoyable storyline. Faith and Walker are such an unlikely couple but when they are forced to live together in the mountains, stranded due to the weather, their chemistry is undeniable until they give in and soon enough they are inseparable. Great hea and epilogue.
