Asher has dedicated his life to the Guild, eradicating vampires to protect humanity—until his younger brother chooses love over loyalty, leaving Asher reeling. Tracking his brother to Europe, Asher expects a confrontation. What he doesn’t expect is to cross paths with Gael, a deadly vampire with a grudge.
Gael has spent centuries as a predator, but Asher’s relentless pursuit of his nest has made it personal. When their paths collide, their hatred ignites into something neither of them can control. Forced to flee when their respective allies turn against them, Asher and Gael must work together to survive.
Tensions flare, lines blur, and as the chase intensifies, so does the undeniable pull between them. Asher swore to never trust a vampire. Gael vowed to never fall for a human. But some temptations are too dangerous to resist.
Can two enemies put aside their blood-soaked pasts, or will their fragile alliance lead to destruction?
Fel Fern can write a pretty good book. I have been addicted to anything paranormal for years. Once I saw that Fel Fern had one out, I had to read it. I wasn't sorry at all. I love books with the tropes of hunter and hunted, especially those involving vampires. Gael and Asher made the story of their relationship step by step through this book. Gael had always said he wouldn't fall for a human, but a human brought him to his knees lol. I didn't want this book to end.
I had a good time with this, I honestly was angry at Asher sometimes, boy had me stressed but I love Gael so much.. the plot and the romance was well balanced especially the random kisses.. my only problem with this book is that ending.. it felt like the book was incomplete.
'The kiss deepened, not with urgency but with care, as if we were learning each other in a language we had only just discovered. “I needed this,” he murmured, his voice low and rough. “You have no idea.” I smiled, a small, genuine thing that I wasn’t sure I remembered how to give anymore. “I think I do.” I brushed my thumb against his cheek. “You make me feel human again,” I admitted. Asher reached up, threading his fingers through my hair. “I’m glad,” he said.'
I loved the first book in this series, Finn, and was excited to read Asher and Gael's story. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both characters and the dynamic between them as a vampire and vampire hunter. Both were completely indoctrinated in the beliefs/ways of their respective sides that they had to mentally overcome. The chemistry between them was scorching and the emotional relationship was beautiful. This story was a fast-paced romance with suspense, danger, and action, and I was completely hooked. 5 stars
ARC review. Det second book in the "Vampire Vowes" series is intriguing and the hunt continue. Asher is hunting for his brother who is on the run with his vampire lover, but instead he meets Gael, another vampire. It's starting with a fight, but they end up fighting together against other hunters. Now they're both on the run trying to survive everything thrown their way. As they fight to stay alive, feelings arise between them. This is especially difficult for Asher. When it seems that things starts to fall in to place another unexpected situation occurs. This read was exciting and there was a lot happening through the book. I had to finish it in one go, because I couldn't put it down.
Good story. Asher is still looking for his brother, Finn on his own time. He runs into vampire, Gael and can't explain why he doesn't feel all "hunter" toward him. His encounter with Gael, puts him on a path of confrontation with his fellow Hunters and Gael's vampire group. Decisions must be made and choices implemented that put Asher in the crosshairs of everyone. Fel, does a good job acquainting us with who Gael is while showing Asher as emotionally conflicted. Great continuation of the series, nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It was unusual but good. Asher is searching for Finn and runs into Gael again. I liked how they were able to put aside their differences when faced with common enemies. Unfortunately Gael must make a difficult choice to save Asher who is slow to accept it. I like the relationship that is forming between Gael and Asher.
Asher was on the hunt for his brother Finn. Finn had taken off with Gabriel, his vampire boyfriend. Asher couldn't come to terms with the fact that his brother was happy and didn't want to be found. He ended up in an unlikely alliance with Gael, another vampire that was currently trying to locate Gabriel. It wasn't long before sparks flew.

3.5⭐ I feel like I'm missing something with these stories? Are they a spinoff? I enjoyed these first two books but there's no world building or explanation of the supernatural characters. The overall storyline is good but these books are short. The ending on this one felt lacking...
Asher is on leave from the hunter’s guild to look for his brother Finn and Gabriel. He runs into Gael a vampire trying to find Gabriel. Gael is one of Beric’s enforcers of the nest. Gael and Asher are sworn enemies but things change when Gael saves Asher. This is the second book of the Vampire Vows series with plenty of drama, danger, adventure and steam.
I am really enjoying this new series. A vampire and a vampire hunter is a perfect example of enemies to lovers and these two were like gasoline and a match. This is the second book in the series and for the full story it really should be read in order. I can’t wait for the next story.
While looking for his brother Finn, Asher encounters Gael, a vicious vampire. The two square off and end up on the same side when confronted by hunters from the Guild. They're chased all over the Forrest and are fighting for their lives as they fall in love with each other. Great addition!.

This is the second book in this series and it reads well. It follows from the first so for maximum enjoyment read Finn’s book first. I enjoyed this and look forward to Declan’s book.
