What do you do when the man who you love more than anyone else in the world terrifies you?

This is a question Shyla must confront and it takes her to her breaking point.

The only person who can bring her back is the same person who is capable of destroying her beyond repair.

Shyla has seen a side of Taylor she can never forget. She now understands that not only is he capable of immense tenderness, but ruthless violence. She must decide if she will fully trust Taylor and embrace both his light and darkness, as it is clear both exist equally within him.

Their pasts continue to cast a shadow over their relationship as Shyla attempts to convince Taylor that the only way they can truly embrace the future is to reopen and repair old wounds.

Taylor swears anything he has ever done was to protect Shyla, but Eric's words haunt her and cast doubts on Taylor's intentions.

Taylor will do anything for Shyla.

Now she must decide if that is actually good thing.

The series MUST be read in order. This series contains adult situations.

Taylor squats down so that our faces are barely an inch apart. “So what I am telling you now, is you are going to tell me how I should punish you right now. Because I know you want me to. I can see how tight your nipples are through your blouse. I bet your cunt is dripping right now. I think you do shit like this on purpose just so I will act out. I think when Rick kissed you, you remembered that no one else makes you as hot as I do. No one makes you come so hard you cry. No one makes you fucking scream and writhe because when I fuck you, you can’t even tell the difference between pain and unimaginable pleasure. Because I like to fuck shit up Shy, and most people don’t.”

5+++ crazy mothercreeping Taylor Holden ******

Its been sooo long since I've written a review that I feel like I'm writing one for the first time ..

** Deep breathes **

This book .. It's been ... I cant even ... Ugh !

Crazy doesn't even begin to cover the myriad of feels I'm feeling right now !

feels gif photo: tumblr_m4a7enouti1r86tug.gif

This book for me is right there with the likes of some of my fave mindfucks of all time .. ( read Consequences by Aleatha Romig , Dark Duet by C.J Roberts and such ).

Taylor and Shyla's journey has not been easy , never was and never will be . But what makes it worth remembering is that its truly one of those stories where the lines between right and wrong never existed . I know i know , I make no sense , but there is no other way for me to put this story out there for you . If you look at it from your beliefs and moral point of view , then yes , there are many wrongs and a few rights here . But if you look at it from a logical point of view of two people who have lead an incomplete , almost dead , sort of life ... then it makes a whole lot of sense .

Taylor and Shy are the perfect yin and yang to each other .

UnStrapped picks up immediately after the events of Strapped Down . Shy is in a really fucking dark place . And Taylor has no clue as to how to bring her out of this phase . If you thought you knew everything about Taylor , then be prepared to be blown out of your mind . Taylor's character looks uncomplicated , but the man is a freakin layered bed ! So many faces , so many masks ... nobody and I mean nobody can fully unmask this guy and see his true self !

You know I feel like if I talk about this story too much , then I might just give away a lot of the plot details and I don't wanna do that . So we'll just keep this discussion character based . Lets talk about Shy first . Honestly , the Shyla in book 1 is only a small part of the Shyla in book 3 . She is still funny , and still sort of a smart ass with a sarcastic mouth and a childish brain , but you can see a smidgen of darkness in her that wasn't a part of her in Strapped . Evolution couldn't have looked better !! She rocks that darkness like a pro .. Ofcourse it takes her a little time to get there ...

Now lets talk about Taylor Holden here ladies and gentleman , because lets face it ... This review is incomplete without him ! Hence a little more to whats already been said ....

“I’m not finished with you yet,” he says, stroking his semi-erect penis. “You are going to take me in your mouth again.” I sit up, and gravity does its job as the wetness from my eyes streaks my cheeks. “But this time, the ball is in my court, you little dirty pain in the ass. And this time, I will fuck you.”

fanning self gifs photo: fanning self kristenwiigfanningself.gif

Kinky and Dirty doesn't even ....

no gif photo: Jim-The Office neztd5.gif

It just doesn't ...

Like , this book ( read : Taylor Holden ) is so hot that If I was sitting on the ice berg that Titanic was gonna crash into , it wouldn't .. Because that Ice berg be all melted before Titanic even came close to it .

Yeah , for freakin realz !

Getting back to Taylor , like we even left him ( shakes head ) , the man is the epitome of complicated . The things he can do and does .. Be it sexual or normal ! I just cant ...

All in all , words are not enough .. This book is a journey . You have to strap yourself right from page 1 in Strapped , and hang on tight . Initially , you might feel " Oh I've read this stuff before " but let me tell you . YOU.ARE.GONNA.ENJOY.IT !

Peace out !

'..but to know and to witness are different realities.'

Unstrapped is book 3 and final book in the Strapped series by Nina G Jones. This series has been nothing but one freaky, hot, heart racing, disturbing roller-coaster and by the time it came to the end I realised I didn't want to get off.I find this book hard to review and rate it was just so crazy and my feelings were everywhere I didn't know who to trust and who to believe, who was lying? And finally after all the build up and confusion all is finally revealed but there are more secrets which lurk around the corner and some will leave you shocked stunned and even more disturbed.

'Now I have secrets to bear, secrets no one else can know.'

At the end of book 2 in this series things got quite messy and in this book you see the aftermath. How people can drown in their own secrets and how secrets can get people killed. I felt like the secrets kept piling up and they would end up ruining both Shyla and Taylor but in the end they managed to make it work. They managed to find balance, the good in Shyla banalced out the darkness in Taylor. They are made for each other and they dont exist without the other. After everything they had been through they deserved an happily ever after!

'love like ours ends in tragedy, it burns bright and fast and everything it touches dissipates within its heat.'

At times I felt like Shyla would just leave or maybe they would have a gap where they are separate because at points I was asking myself are they really meant to be? These are two people with problems and pasts that haunt them. Can two dysfunctional people make it work without tearing the other apart?

'My master also wears a mask.Though I wonder if his true mask is the black contraption obscuring his face, or the handsome and charming farcade he uses to deceive the outside world'

Taylor was scary at times creeping up on Shyla like omg please stop! Hot, scary, charming and so much more. You find stuff out about Taylor and I was like YES! I WAS RIGHT! I knew it not that it was a particularly good thing about him but still!I'm glad he became a lot more open with Shyla than he was in the previous books, he learnt to share his feelings and give that part of himself to her. Oh and I really wanted to see Taylor as a dad like alot alot! Why couldn't they have babies in the end?! Taylor and babies aww C'mon Nina! I want a novella all about their happily ever after (with babies, yeah?).

At times I felt like there was too much going on I wanted everything for a while to be happy and jolly and normal in between the chaos. Overall I enjoyed the series and I'm looking forward to more from Nina! :)

BEST.SERIES.EVER... 5+ Infected stars!!! Now this series could be made into a movie!! It was sooo good! I usually like to say that a book reminds me of a specific book that I've read and loved or even the MC remind me of others that I've read, but I'm not going to do that b.c I don't want to deter anyone from reading this series. It is so much more than a sexy billionaire/bdms story. The characters have so much depth and the elements of surprise throughout this book made my head spin (in a good way)!

The author did an amazing job of making me feel every emotion the heroine, Shyla was feeling. I actually really liked her despite her actions in the first book. She falls for the billionaire, Taylor after he pursues her relentlessly. I took a break between books 1 and 2 b/c I wanted to wait until book 3 was out before starting book 2. That was the best choice for me b/c once I started, I couldn't stop. There is so much that happens that I was devouring every page! All along though Taylor and Shyla remain a strong couple. There are moments of doubt on Shyla's part and I can completely relate to her thinking. The book was extremely sexy. I mean this was some of the kinkiest stuff I've read but it wasn't overdone. It was evenly distributed throughout the book and done so deliciously! There were moments where I was laughing out loud, then screaming b.c of certain characters betrayal and then disgusted by others. Talk about a roller coaster ride! This was definitely one and I'll gladly take the ride again b.c for me this is a re-read type of series!!

"Oh fuck. This whole thing is a clusterfuck wrapped in what the fuck." Loved this quote :-)

The secondary characters were also great. I love that the author always had me guessing and doubting right along with the h. Her words convey so much emotion and you just can't help but have all the "feels" while reading this series. Taylor Holden is a favorite of mine.... he is a dominant, possessive, dirty talking, and intense hero yet so lovable with Shyla. Do yourself a favor and read this series! It is one I will definitely never forget!!

Gina Jones went for the shock factor in this conclusion and have to say a nosedive. The development of Taylor in book 3 didn’t sit well with me. I couldn't get my head around this so-called Dominant. A Dominant he wasn't and came across as a manipulative sociopath. I didn’t like him. He had no moral code, dismantled anyone who was in conflict with him - including Shyla.

Shyla so stupid and so blind to him. Habitually opening Pandora’s Box continuing to play him in a never-ending game of chess. …..a game she was constantly outplayed.

This trilogy is dark and it was dysfunctional. Despite the strong writing the author failed to convince me that there was anything that these two had that resembled love. they were just plain twisted, naughty creations. All we got was two unhealthy people who liked rough sex.

Shame it went in the direction it did.

Ultimately I didn’t like either of these characters and that reflected in my final scoring of this trilogy.

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!

Wow, just when I thought that this storyline could not get more twisted and crazier, it totally throws me for a mind tripping loop. I so take back my initial thought when starting Strapped about this being another 50 shades series because it is so far from that it makes 50 shades seem "Vanilla". This series is a mind trip that is sure to have you "Strapped" to the book, kindle, ereader, etc.

I can't have a normal life and be with Taylor. Those two concepts are contradictory. I understand that now.

★✩★✩★ 5- Broken, Scared & Sinfully Sexy -Stars

~this review may contain minor spoilers~

My doubt stems from what Taylor would do for our love. He has found something so rare, so precious, that he would keep it at all costs. That's what Taylor does, that is why he has been so successful in life. He knows how to get what he wants, and he will stop at nothing to get it.

Shyla has always known there is a darker side to Taylor, but knowing and witnessing that darkness are two very different things. She also knows of his immense tenderness, and of how very much he loves her, she now has to reconcile his two halves and come to terms with the fact that he is in fact the same man. But recent events have pushed her to her breaking point, and the slivers of doubt planted in her head are starting to corrupt the love she has with Taylor threatening her sanity. She has to convince him to open up to her, completely, about everything, if they have any chance of getting their relationship, and Shy herself, back to the way they were, while continuing to battle the demons of their pasts. There is still so much she is unsure of, but she has to decide once and for all weather or not she can truly trust Taylor, because he has made it clear that he is willing to do anything to keep her, and she needs to figure out if she's okay with exactly what that means...

I am filled with a flood of so many of the things I was afraid to feel: love, hope, fear, trust, determination, uncertainty, and most importantly, strength. And it assures me that whatever doubts I may have, what Taylor and I have is something I must fight for. Even if I end up losing the battle.

First things first; it's important that you understand that this book is BOOK THREE of THREE in a series, it really is recommended that you read Books one & two FIRST as I don't think they were meant to be standalones. I was unaware of this when I first signed onto the Blog Tour for unStrapped and I definitely suffered some confusion at times, especially in the beginning. I was able to catch up eventually, but it was clear that there was a shit-ton of events in their relationship that I completely missed out on. It also made it a bit harder to really see where Shy was coming from in the beginning, to truly feel her struggles, and it did take a little bit of my book enthrallment away. With all that said, I still LOVED this book. These two characters were AhFrigginMazing, if not a holy hott mess, sexy-as-hell, and they sure as shit deserve to catch a damn break. This is far from a conventional love story, but that's what I loved most about it; I prefer my romances full of grit and angst, drama and tears, a little bit of sweet and a whole lotta dirty ~ well, I got that and then some. Throw in some uncertainty and questions and whats not to love!? When all is said and done, Nina Jones has definitely left her mark on me. I will absolutely be One-Clicking books one and two post-haste and then giving this a re-read; I have a feeling the effect will be quite noticeable.

In our time together, we have been through more than most couples face in a lifetime, and despite it, or maybe because of it, we are still full of intense, passionate, hysterical love- a love that is strong enough to drive one of us to kill, and push the other one to the edge of her sanity.

This is a review from an ARC of unStrapped by Nina G. Jones.

I cannot be any happier with this third and final installment in the Strapped Series. unStrapped picks up in an unexpected spot, and the twists and turns unfurl from there. The ride is dizzying. Some truly crazy things happen. Some revelations just may blow your mind. Some people even die (trust me, you'll want them to die!) There is, of course, steamy kinky sex to top it all off.

What's more interesting is that my opinion of Taylor Holden completely changed by the end of the series. Taylor and Shyla are the perfect pair; perfectly matched in their flaws and ambitions. Their story is no cake walk, and that's what makes their adventure and eventual ending worth it.

You must read the first two books in the series first: Strapped and Strapped Down.

Nina earned a full five stars from me!

Unstrapped
(Book #3 in The Strapped Series)
by Nina G Jones

Welll !!!!!! I thought the first two books were outstanding !

Nina Jones has out done herself with the conclusion of the Strapped Series and the story of Shyla and Taylor.

Through their past devastation they found a way to look forward and move forward and vow to eliminate any threat in their path, Unstrapped has more twists than a country road and will keep you guessing all the way through, with a couple of spanners thrown in for good measure!

Through family and personal tragedy they seek strength that only the other can provide.

You will not be disappointed with the Strapped Series, thank you Nina for sharing Shyla and Taylor with the world :D

Overall this series pushed the right buttons. I love a good story full of twists and slow reveals. Every single person in this story has flaws. I loved nobody was perfect. I liked the MC a lot but I didn't looooooove them. What I did love was their connection. I thought his need to dominate was so freakin' hot. I honestly didn't know who the true villains were. I kept flipping around different theories. When all the twists and turns finally settled, I thought....NO WAY. I'm not going to tell you much of the plot because discovering the reveals is the best part of the story. I will admit I was thrown a few times. Both of the MC are messed up in their own way. She was like a moth pulled towards a bug zapper. I just wasn't sure which direction she should run. I'd definitely recommend if you like CEO dominate men with a torrid past, a book that circles around the BDSM lifestyle, suspense. mystery and intrigue. This series is not for the faint of heart.

Nina G. Jones knows how to grab ahold of you and keep you wanting more and more.
Taylor and Shyla have had a rollercoaster of a life with and without each other!!!
They are imbedded into each other, neither one knows where the other one ends and the next starts.
They battle each others demons while trying to find the light in their own relationship.
There are outside sources that do not understand the depth of their love and what they are willing to do for each other. Bittersweet ending to a phenomenal series!!!

Yeah, nah. This story just got progressively worse. As with the first two, the editing is atrocious, and at one point, the author accidentally mixes up the names of two characters. I could barely muster the enthusiasm to skim through the last half of the book to get some sort of closure, but for some reason the unbelievable "shocking revelations" just keep coming. I ended up hating Taylor and Shyla by the end of this book, Shyla especially, who just seemed to become less likable and less relatable as the three books progressed.

OMG! Fantastic read! So worth the wait. I have such a book hangover- I've tried to read two different books and can't because I'm so hooked on this series and Taylor Holden. In love with these 3 books. Can't wait to have these babies on my bookshelf. Taylor has spoiled me for other book boyfriends. This was the perfect conclusion although I hate to see it come to an end. Nina hit this one out of the park.

Disappointed. Taylor & Shyla's story continues after the death of Taylor's brother Eric.

The reason behind Eric's death is unraveled in this book, unnecessarily. A former ex of Shyla's is brought in to their tainted circle.
In the midst of all the crazy, Taylor meets with his mother.

Wow what a ride! This book was so different and I liked it a lot. I had my doubts who was the one sending text.. I mean it went through as a possibility and I should have grabbed onto that but damn then Eric was all over the place. Wow and Nan... I think that in the end was like too soap opera for me because shit really went to telenovela side BUT I damn I forgave it because it was that good. Actually Taylors behavior was described in every book but I do not have any degree in pshycology so I had no idea how to diagnose him but I understood something is off. Crazy that she went along I would be sleeping one eye open 🤣
Overall I loved this series, it was really engaging. It was very different, I was really waiting Taylor to be batshit crazy but nope and that made it all. This series just screwed with my mind.

I am in the final chapters of reading this book - but feel the need to do my review now. I am loving how Taylor has seemed to have softened a lot with Shyla around - hes more forgiving. I love the effect Shyla has on Taylor, in regards to touching, and helping him see things from a different perspective. But i also like how Taylors influence has encouraged Shyla to go after what she wants. They have both changed for the better, and Im stoked & surprised that they were friends in the Cult - and years later find each other- that was awesome to find out. This series had me guessing a lot, but I also had to seriously fight off the urge to skip pages to have a sneak peek to find out what happens a chapter or two ahead :) A fantastic series!

I am not too sure about this book. Scenarios just kept getting weirder and unbelievable to me.
I skipped a lot of pages and at one stage was tempted not to finish.
I persevered and made it to the end but was highly disappointed.
I won't mention the uncountable mistakes littered through out the book. Just terrible!

Some characters walk into our lives, whether it by books or movies or some other method, and crawl into our hearts. They touch something profound in us in the telling of their stories; provide a mirror for us to see our own lives through a different perspective. We get attached to them as we walk their journey with them, cheering for them, crying for them, screaming at them. They become part of our own story, to an extent, and that is one of the greatest gifts we can ever hope to gain - company, along for the ride.

Taylor Holden and Shyla Ball are exactly those kind of characters. When the Strapped series started, we met a completely cold, closed off, disengaged Taylor completely in control of his life and those around him. Scarred and broken from his past. Shyla was shy and content to stay that way. She was quiet and disengaged in her own way, fully content to ride the flow of her life as it unfolded before her. One spilled cup of coffee later and they found their lives jack-knifed into each other in the craziest of ways and their story is one that will stay with me forever.

This series has so many threads moving through it, I couldn’t quite begin to wrap my head around how Nina G. Jones was going to wrap them all up in three little books. There was no way she would be able to successfully tie everything together in a way that made sense, gave Taylor and Shy the happy ending they so completely deserved and dealt out the justice those around them also deserved. Not only did she prove me utterly wrong, she nailed it so completely that I had to read this last book twice.

UnStrapped not only delivers everything a fan of this series could ever hope for story wise, but it also cracks these characters open so wide that we get to see them fully bloom into their complete and amazing selves, individually and together. Taylor and Shyla step into their own skins in such a gorgeous way throughout this story, meeting each other where they are and bringing out the very best in each other. There are moments of exquisite tenderness, heartbreak, humor and intelligence. And the sex. Jaysus, the sex scenes. Jones has completely outdone herself with the heat factor in this book.

I fell in love with these characters immediately. And I fell in love with Jones’ writing immediately. She is able to ensnare every single sense and light them on fire with even the simplest of scenes and that ability combined with the incredible depth built into these characters and their story makes for a series that stands alone amongst its contemporaries.

Jones has crafted a final book in this series that starts at a break neck speed and never once lets up. She is ruthless in her pressure upon these characters and the incredible obstacles she places before them. But such are Taylor and Shy that they leap each one with grace and dignity and as a reader, you just stand back, mouth agape, wondering how the hell they just pulled that off. And then a smile pulls your mouth wide as you realize you don’t care, you’re just stoked you got to watch it happen.

The Strapped series will be with me forever. As sad as I am to see it end, I’m just thrilled that I got to go along for the ride. To have these characters with me, their wickedness and wit, their insanity and singular way of looking at the world, their risk taking and courage, is a gift I’ll take out and admire for a long time to come.
