in bloom: the art of becoming is a poetic journey of transformation, a deeply moving collection that speaks to the heart of healing and growth. Through lyrical verse, Evie guides readers through the painful yet empowering process of becoming whole again. Each poem is an intimate exploration of the human experience-starting from the depths of pain and darkness, moving toward grounding and strength, and culminating in the freedom and beauty of blooming into one's truest self. Divided into three parts-withering, grounding, and rising & blooming-this collection traces the arc of personal healing. It's a testament to resilience, a reminder that healing is not a linear path, but a journey of many twists and turns. With a gentle yet powerful voice, Evie offers solace to the broken-hearted, the weary, and anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or lost in the shadows. in bloom is more than a collection of poems; it is a beacon of hope. It is a reminder that we are all becoming, evolving, and growing-even when the world feels heavy, and our hearts are full of uncertainty. For anyone seeking a sense of peace, strength, or a reminder of their own worth, this book is an invitation to embrace the process of healing and to trust in the beauty of transformation. You are seen. You are heard. And you are becoming.
This poetry book has a similar layout to milk and honey, but it’s separated into 3 sections which I like. Also bonus points for a poem about being bisexual 😋
Absolutely beautiful read. I connected with the poems so truly and as someone who also suffers from depression and anxiety, these poems are something that will stick with me. ❤️
Many thanks to the author + @goodreads for the chance to read this lovely poetry collection!
For fans of Amanda Lovelace, Nikita Gill, & Rupi Kaur!
Evie Isabelle is a mental health advocate turned poet and has discovered the healing power of words, sharing her journey and exploration of the human experience in this collection of poetry which has been divided into three parts—withering, grounding, rising & blooming—that speak to anyone who may be seeking a reminder of their own worth.
I really enjoyed how relatable and uplifting these poems were. They’re all quite positive with a healing quality that I’ve come to find in the work of the poets listed above as well. I especially recommend ‘ten key ingredients to rising & blooming’!
This beautiful collection also features lots of single line art similar to the cover on every other page, with color, adding extra interest to every page!
