I usually don't read a lot of Dark Romance books, but if Rachel writes it I'll read it hahaha

This is not a big book and it reads really easy and I finished it in like 3 evenings.

In the book we follow Elara who is married to Rick and they have a son together. But their marriage is stuck in a rut, they barely show any affection, and she almost feels like a nanny.

She works as a realtor in a firm and one day a new colleague called Ethan arrives. He is very attractive and mysterious. He doesn't talk much about himself or his past.

Elara and Ethan have to work together on projects, and Ethan keeps hinting that he finds her very attractive. And he gives her the attention that she is missing in her marriage.

When the line is crossed there is pretty much no way back. Will Elara figure out who Ethan is? Will she be able to keep the affair a secret from Rick? And what happens when the past gets caught up with the present?

Read it now in this exhilarating dark romance, with lots of spice, questionable decisions, but somehow you will also root for the people you would probably condemn in real life. I'm very impressed by the way Rachel really makes you think about these conflicting feelings, between the choices you make with either your head or your heart.

English first, Dutch next!

Entangled in Desire and Temptation

‘Sir, I’m Obsessed’ is one of those stories that grabs you from the very first page. Rachel Elisabeth opens with a prologue bursting with action, a scene that immediately raises questions and ignites curiosity. It sets the tone for a story where far more is simmering beneath the surface than you initially expect.

At the center of the story is Elara, a woman who has slowly slipped into the monotony of everyday life after the birth of her son Eli. Her marriage is strained, the distance between her and her husband grows with each passing day, and the intimacy that once came naturally has faded. When a new man appears at her workplace, her carefully maintained routine begins to crack. The intensity of his presence sharpens everything around her. What starts as an innocent fascination evolves into a temptation that pulls her steadily toward boundaries she never imagined crossing.

Rachel Elisabeth writes with an addictive clarity: fast-paced, intense, and charged with emotion. Her prose has a hypnotic quality, making the tension between desire, guilt, and self-denial feel vivid without becoming overwhelming. She knows exactly when to slow down and when to increase the pressure, creating a rhythm that keeps you reading. What stands out most is how convincingly Elara’s inner turmoil is portrayed. Her doubts, desires, and fears feel painfully real, turning her into a fully human and relatable character.

The themes in ‘Sir, I’m Obsessed’ are bold and layered: infidelity, guilt, a marriage under strain, the complexities of motherhood, and the irresistible pull of the forbidden. Together, they form a dark, erotic, and psychologically charged narrative that lingers long after the final page. The ending, especially, leaves you with a blend of tension and emotion that stays with you.

For readers who enjoy dark romance with the emotional intensity of authors like Ana Huang or Penelope Douglas but crave additional psychological depth, this story is a perfect match. ‘Sir, I’m Obsessed’ offers exactly that: a tale where desire and danger intertwine, and where moral boundaries blur with every chapter.

Huge thanks to W. Griffin Publishing for providing the ARC and allowing me to share my honest opinion.

A short story with one of my least favorite tropes that still ends up getting 4 stars? Then you know the author did something right.👏🏽

I went into this book completely blind without really checking what it was about and let me tell you, I ended up genuinely enjoying it. I loved the writing style. It immediately pulled me into the story and it was such an easy and enjoyable read. The home dynamic between Elara and her husband Rick honestly made me laugh because it was so relatable to my own life with a three-year-old toddler. I recognized so many of those irritations that I couldn’t help but laugh (thankfully we handle those things a bit better in our house tho🤭).

As much as I thought I would hate it, I actually loved the tension between Elara & Ethan and their spicy scenes delivered. The mystery surrounding Ethan added real value to the plot and kept the story engaging and unexpectedly suspenseful. I even got a little emotional at some point. I wasn’t bored for a single moment and found myself curious until the very last line about what would happen next.

I was genuinely sad when it ended, because I would have happily kept reading. I’m secretly hoping for a sequel because I’d read it immediately. 🤭

I rated this book 4⭐️ !

Thank you W. Griffin Publishing for this ARC!

Very well written book that captures you from the beginning. Easy to get into with a special kind of tension that lasts throughout the book. Written entirely from FMC's perspective with sexual passion and feelings of guilt. However, I loved the epilogue that was written from his side.

Not quite my style and what I like but definitely worth reading.
Read triggers - because if infidelity is something you are not comfortable with, it may not be for you.

Absolutely 5 stars!
At first I want to say thanks to W. Griffin Publishing and Rachel Elisabeth for sending me this ARC.
This was my first book of Rachel and I absolutely loved it.

I was hooked to this book from the very start until the end. This book will send you on an emotional roller coaster. Normally I am not so much into the cheating trope but this story was so well written that it absolutely didn’t bother me at all. This book was so hot and I really hope that there will come a part two because I need to know more about what is going to happen next!

ARC review. I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. Elara is a typical working mom dealing with the stresses of being married, working and having a small child. She is drawn to the new coworker at her job and is unable to resist him. Sir, I’m Obsessed is a dark romance that takes you on a wild ride from start to finish!

“I saw something in you, something vulnerable.”

Since she became a mother, Elara’s life — and the relationship with her husband — has altered drastically.
A new colleague starts working at her firm, a handsome, mysterious man who makes every effort to keep his past tightly under wraps. Her days become ruled by the excitement he brings into her life, and she finds herself increasingly addicted and obsessed.
His darkness slowly corrupts her... will she ever see the light again?

To be clear I don’t approve cheating, I love reading about it, but I do not think it’s oke, but I can understand that you can be seduced if you feel like Elara. This book is very good! It was so relatable to my life with a 3 year old boy. I recognized so many of those irritations that I couldn’t help but giggle and I guess more of us had that. This book gave me something to think about, it’s written so realistic that it stayed in my mind, how Elara’s life was (for her) plain, not feeling like a women or sexy. This book gave me a lot of feels, sadness, anger, laughing and the spice is so spicing I love it! And than there is this plotwist oh my god ! I need book number 2 right now!

I give this book 4 stars, there was just one scene that I really did not like, but the rest of the book is really great. If you don’t mind the cheating trope this is really a book for you!

The spark in Elara's marriage has gone out. She lives with her husband as roommates. Rick her husband does nothing in their househould and even taking care of their son Eli seems to much to ask. When a new colleague starts working at her firm the two of them start playing a dangerous game. Will she cross the line?

▪︎ emotional neglect
▪︎ coworker
▪︎ infidelity
▪︎ BDSM awakening

Excuse me! Rick struggles with Elara pleasuring herself?

Laughed out loud at this: "Nowadays, rubbing the place he 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴 my .... is located two times, is enough foreplay for him,"

▪︎ stalker
▪︎ possesive MMC - You're mine
▪︎ dark past

Didn't had the best reading week, but that didn't stop me from reading this and giving it a well deserved 5 stars! The twist and the ending OMG! Hope the story continues...

Sir I am not obessed.
Sorry, I really want to like this book but I didn't.
The start was good, but the trope is not for me and that made me dislike the story more and more in got in to it.
I am sadly not a fan of the way the book it written (third person) or the sudden change in time and place. It just next line, not new paragraph or chapter or section. Not a fan.
I also have problems with the title. Why is it not " Im Obessed, Sir". That would have made more sense.

Sir, I’m Obsessed completely pulled me in from the very first page. It’s a short story, but the mystery surrounding Ethan made it impossible to stop reading. I was instantly hooked.

I absolutely loved Ethan and Elara together. The tension between them is intense, their chemistry undeniable, and the spice definitely delivers. Watching them both become obsessed with each other was addictive, and I couldn’t get enough of their dynamic. The epilogue from Ethan’s POV was such a highlight, and it only made me hope we’ll get even more of his perspective in a future book.

This story does include a trope that won’t be for everyone, but it felt realistic and was written in a way that never bothered me. I think many moms will recognize themselves in Elara, and some of those very relatable frustrations genuinely made me laugh out loud.

If you’re looking for a quick, enjoyable, and spicy read, I’d definitely recommend this one! 🔥📖

Thanks for the ARC!

Heb ik dit boek gister ontvangen , ja
Ben ik dit boek vandaag begonnen, ja
Kon ik dit boek weg leggen ? NEE!

ARC Review – Sir, I’m Obsessed | Rachel Elisabeth
Release date: December 19th

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars)

Wow… what a story.

I honestly didn’t know exactly what I was getting into. I knew it would be about a young mother navigating the very familiar struggles of marriage with young children: exhaustion, feeling like you have to carry everything on your own, a husband who doesn’t fully take responsibility, and the loss of connection and intimacy.

Then I read the prologue… and wow. It was raw, hard-hitting, and powerful. I actually had to pause and catch my breath.

Still, I continued with the first chapter. The author immediately draws you into Elara’s daily routine, a young mother who feels lonely, disconnected, and missing passion and closeness. Many women will likely recognize themselves in her situation. I truly felt for Elara—I could feel the weight she was carrying.

Then a new male colleague enters the picture. At first, Elara reacts defensively, but soon she becomes intrigued by him. He’s good at his job, mysterious, and undeniably attractive. The attraction is mutual, and before she knows it, she’s drawn into his addictive and compelling presence.

This story is dark, spicy, and totally gripping. 🔥

Rachel Elisabeth’s writing is vivid and engaging; the story never drags. It fully immerses you in Elara’s emotional world and keeps you curious about what happens next. Despite the intensity of the prologue, I kept reading—and I’m so glad I did.

Thank you, W. Griffing Publishing, for the ARC.

Going in to this book I found Elara to be so relatable. As a mother it feels your relationship takes a back burner to your children and responsibilities.

Elara's husband completely ignores hers needs, leaving her juggling work and their son. Leaving her feeling unappreciated. Until she gets a new team member. Ethan is everything she fantasies about. Hes dominate, degrading, dangerous and pushes the boundaries. The temptation is strong but so is the guilt.

I had such a fun time reading sir, I'm obsessed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Finally, a book that proves the only thing scarier than a toddler’s temper tantrum is a mysterious colleague with a dark past.
I related to Elara on a spiritual level—sometimes marriage is hard, and you just want a little excitement. Granted, my idea of excitement is ordering the spicy curry, while Elara’s idea is getting entangled with a walking, talking red flag at work. Watching her spiral from ‘exhausted mom’ to ‘obsessed thriller protagonist’ was a wild, chaotic ride that made me forget about my own pile of laundry. A total page-turner that proves HR really needs to do better background checks!

First of all, thank you so much to W. Griffin Publishing and Rachel Elizabeth for providing me with the ARC.

As a new mom, I found myself relating deeply to Elara and the emotions she goes through. Being able to place myself in the head of the main character made the story even more enjoyable and immersive for me. Moms will definitely recognize parts of themselves in Elara, which adds an extra layer of connection to the book.

And let’s be honest… the smut is smutting 🔥

Rachel Elizabeth definitely delivers when it comes to spice.

There’s also a touch of tension and suspense woven into the story, which kept me turning the pages and wanting to know what would happen next. It’s not just spicy it has enough intrigue to keep you engaged.

I would absolutely recommend this book if you’re looking for a quick, enjoyable read. It’s a fairly short story, making it the perfect in-between book or palate cleanser when you need something fun, spicy, and easy to get through.

A book with a woman, a mother specifically, exploring her sexuality. I’m all in.

This was dark, twisted, spicy and such a fun read. I was waiting to eventually get fed up of Elara as she isn’t the type of fmc I vibe with. But I suppose her love for her son and her vulnerable side appealed to me as a mother with a son the same age.
Ethan, sexy, grey and mysterious. With a dark side you know will be dangerous.
Also, thank you Rachel, for making a mum character that I’m sure some of us can kind of relate to, wanting to feel sexy and wanted. But obviously without doing stuff and wanting someone we definitely shouldn’t.

I loved this and genuinely am so grateful I got it as an arc as it was such a fun read.

I had the pleasure to be an ARC reader for this book

I have given this book three stars purely because this was not a dark Romance in my opinion saying that, there are elements of this, just not heavy enough for me

The book took a while to get going but once you get there it heats up and the story is good

If you are new or want to dabble in Dark Romance this is a good book to start

So to the main review …….

In the Book you meet Elara the MFC she is a mother and wife, she has her little one Eli and husband Rick, since having the baby her marriage has been suffering and she doesn’t know what’s missing, she is a realtor and work for a small company where a new colleague arrives

This is Ethan the MMC he is mysterious and handsome and she can’t stop looking they are flirting and the tension is high, he is a dominant male and knows what’s missing he likes in the bedroom and they start an affair

During this affair Elara feels alive and knows what’s missing this is what’s she has been missing, someone taking control and dominating in her sex life

She is curious as to who Ethan really is as she feels somethings not quite right

Having found out she tries to break things off and he won’t allow it telling her she is his and he is not done

I can’t say much more as I will spoil it for you

As I say this is a good story and was a good read and the star rating is purely on the Dark romance side
But grab the book and enjoy the journey between Elara and Ethan

ARC Reader Review:
Um, excuse me while I go take a cold shower!! This book made me think of Fifty Shades and Sex Life. Elara is in an unhappy marriage and Ethan is the hot new guy at the office who is giving a dark, edgy vibe. I didn't think I would enjoy this trope and was considering backing out of reading it but I'm so glad I didn't!! This book was sexy, intense, suspenseful, and had me reading so fast I read in two sittings! 🥵🥵 This book is HOT. 🔥🔥

Intense

Wow, what a ride. Very engaging both for the self-discovery Elara goes through, the relationship with Ethan, and the mystery surrounding it all. Lots of spice.
Epilogue seems to hint at more of the story, definitely want to read Book 2!
One nitpick was the changes in scene with no transition, from one paragraph to another the story was in a different time or place, someone new was talking, that sort of thing. Annoying but the overall story made up for it.

Sir, I’m Obsessed is a forbidden romance book that grabbed me from the very first chapter. It follows Elara, a working mom who finds herself caught in an undeniable and high-stakes attraction to a new coworker.

I’m not big on the cheating trope, however, the tension in this book is incredible. It’s written primarily from her perspective, allowing you to really feel her passion mixed with the heavy guilt of her situation. You will feel the feelings right along with her.

We definitely need a book 2!

When Secrets and Desire Collide

Book Review – Sir, I’m Obsessed

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review, and I was completely drawn into the story.

We follow Elara, a married woman with a baby, juggling a demanding career in property while feeling unsupported at home. When she meets Ethan, a mysterious and intriguing man with secrets of his own, her life begins to change in unexpected ways. Their connection sparks a journey of self-discovery as Elara starts to explore a submissive side of herself that she never knew she had.

The storyline is engaging and emotionally charged, with a strong focus on character dynamics and tension. This is definitely a slow burn, with a gradual buildup throughout the book. While I would have loved to see a little more depth in places, it didn’t stop me from enjoying the ride and this is why I gave it four stars instead of five.

Overall, this was a compelling read with intriguing and well-developed characters. I’d happily recommend it to readers who enjoy slow-burn romance with emotional layers and a touch of mystery.

I was fortunate enough to receive a review copy of this novel, and was so glad I did!

Right from the start I was drawn in by the feelings and emotions experienced by the main character Elara, and the thrill of forbidden thoughts and guilty pleasures. I certainly was not expecting to be rationalising the actions of a woman engrossed in an illicit affair, but the raw and relatable way the character was written had me firmly on her team!

I couldn't help but feel excited and attracted by the mysteriously sexy, and dangerous character of Ethan, and his apparently shady past - who doesn't love a bad boy?

The writing was saucy and seductive without being smutty, the intimate moments got my heart racing and had me hot under the collar, eagerly awaiting the next encounter, it was so hard to put this book down to attend to my work day!!

I am secretly hoping to read future encounters of this forbidden coupling....

Where to begin. Elara finds herself drifting from her husband. In comes Ethan at work that stirs something in Elara.

I received this as an ARC for review.

She finds things out about herself and Ethan. If you enjoy workplace romances, BDSM and spice, add this to your TBR.

Sir, I'm Obsessed is beide niet.

Dus als je houdt van sexy boeken, is dit echt er één voor jou. En mocht Engels niet je voorkeur hebben, is dit boek ook in het Nederlands te krijgen als Ja, meneer.
