Untish #2

Daughter of Destiny

Rate this book
MAGIC IS ITS OWN ENTITY. IT CAN BE AS RUTHLESS AS IT IS HELPFUL.

TATE

Dear blood, he was a dragon shifter. A male who was lethal in both forms, wielding black flames that were somehow light. And he wanted me… Claimed me. Desired me.

I never thought I'd find myself inside the Untish Embassy, masquerading as a Darkling… but then again, I never knew I was a rare vampire with the dragon shifting gift. And now, I’m haunted by my elusive past, while simultaneously hunted by my very own.

He says he can help me, wants to protect me, that it's my choice. But clothed in secrets, and leading a society that thrives on deceit, trusting Aether Brychan may be the one thing that gets me burned.

AETHER

She’s exquisite. Everything I'm not. Everything I want to protect, honor, and worship… And they want to destroy her. Kill her.

Over my dead body.

I’m the embodiment of darkness, and I will protect my bonded from the monsters, scaled and not. Come what f*cking may.

CHANCE
My worst nightmare stalks on two feet; vile monsters crafted from dark magic.

With new power thrumming in my veins, the allure of it beckons, cleaving a way for me to control the dark magic. Only I can decide how far I’ll go to defend those I'm sworn to protect.

Darkness and red warp everything. Become everything. Red lights the path to victory. Red strikes and destroys. This RED may just be my only saving grace…

In a world where half-truths and betrayals lurk in every shadow, three fates intertwine. A storm is coming—and when it breaks, only one will remain.

Daughter of Destiny is an epic fantasy centered in an urban, dragon-shifting world where the Chairs determine who you marry and everyone must earn their place in this action-adventure romance! This paranormal romantasy boasts steamy spice with fated mates and banter that has readers devouring the pages, leaving them craving more. Step inside these morally grey characters' minds in this first person, multi POV, dark fantasy, where bloodwine is life and secrets are currency. But be forewarned, not everything is as it seems...

"Fourth wing but with vampires!"

"It’s a unique fantasy world, that has vampire and dragons as I’ve never seen in any other fantasy series. The FMC and MMC are just… chef’s kiss! I need more Tate and Aether like I need air!"

"Absolutely phenomenal! The ending was so shocking and beautifully done. Can not wait for the next one to find out what happens! Definitely a must read!"

I love all things fiction, specifically, fantasy. Add a little romance, or sometimes a whole heap, and you’ll find my specialty: romantasy. As an avid reader and devourer of all things Fae, dragon, and magical, my work (as you may have guessed) is centered in that world. I love a strong female protagonist who defies the patriarchy while learning to love and trust.

I am one of the lucky ones; I married my high school sweetheart and am a mother of two adorable, rambunctious boys. As a Colorado native, I love the sunshine and crisp air while enjoying the outdoors with my guys…have I mentioned I’m outnumbered?

Stories have always held me captive—they are the air I breathe. It is my purest pleasure to share with you the tales that have been burning in my heart. To see a full list of my works, please visit my website.

O.M.G. Wow! This book has left me speechless. It was absolutely brilliant, and I loved every minute of it. This series has easily become one of my top reads of 2025!

This is book 2 in the series, and it picks up exactly where book 1 left off (the world building in book 1 was just amazing)

Both these books are easy reads and will have you captivated from the start. I was definitely hooked! Book 2 has some epic battles that were well written and had me at the edge of my seat at times in anticipation of the outcome.

Our FMC goes through a journey of self-discovery, learning who she really is and how to harness the powers she now has. But of course, she can't do this without our swoon worthy shadow daddy MMC, who is definitely now my current book boyfriend.

The spice in this book was well written and didn't overshadow the plot of the story like it can at times. The author really blended both well.

If you're looking for a book that has high fantasy, romance, action, adventure, magic, and you love amazing world building, then this series is definitely for you. I honestly can't wait to get my hands on book 3 when it's out 😍

OH. MY. GOD!!!!! I'm left speechless... again. Rebecca has done it... again!!! Fangs of Fate was one of my top reads of 2024, and I was eager for the next book in this series. Once I started reading Daughter of Destiny, I absolutely could not put it down. It has easily become one of my top reads of 2025.

This might actually be a long review because there's so much to say. But also so much I can't say because I don't want to spoil anyyyything!! A lot of my questions from book 1 were answered, but even more questions were added too, which has me eagerly awaiting the next book.

This book takes off right from where FoF ended, and a lot has changed for all these characters. Tate is still reeling from the aftermath of what went down at the warehouse and coming to terms with her true identity and is clueless about what any of it means or how she is going to learn and adapt while also making sense of her connection with Aether.

Aether has come to suspect some unexpected theories after Tate's changing, which could put her at great risk, and he must now find a way to verify these suspicions while also ensuring her safety.

Chance makes it back with Shae only to notice some changes in him that he can't make sense of and must now figure out what he's willing to do to protect The Glenn, especially Shae and Holland.

Three POVs, three characters whose journeys keep progressing simultaneously.

Rebecca has managed to blend romance, action, political intrigue, mystery, magic, and humor JUST right to create this masterpiece. A world that's a mix of vampire, fae, and human. Deadly, shape-shifting dragons from the Untish Tribe and vile creatures like the Seethings, Ghouls, and Tarragons.

The world-building is something that I was in awe of in FoF and how Rebecca had intricately created this world with the divide between the vampire and human realms. Focusing on The Glenn—the roles, politics, creatures, rules, and hierarchy within the guara—while also gradually introducing the Untish Tribe. This book delved deeper into truly understanding this whole new world of the Untish Tribe that is so different from The Glenn and the human realm. A whole different set of rules, hierarchy, ranks, power, roles, environment, and magic. And my mind is absolutely blown at just how beautifully this other side has been woven into the existing story so seamlessly as its extension.

The way Rebecca has managed to draw parallels between the two different realms—the Glenn and the Embassy—building both these story lines side by side, driving the plot in such a way that it all came together in the most unexpected ways. The way things progressed, leading up to that ending, has once again set up a whole new world of possibilities for the next book(s).

There were so many plot twists that I wasn't prepared for, and they constantly kept me on the edge of my seat. The lies, secrets, betrayals, manipulations, deceptions, and politics in both The Glenn and the Embassy were all factors that kept me guessing throughout and left me shocked time and time again.

I'm so thrilled that this book introduced Aether's POV. It gave me so much insight into his character, and I learned so much about him—his past, grief, trauma, guilt, and regrets. Learning about his past and all that he's endured absolutely crushed me. His current situation with Tate made him reflect on old wounds that haven't fully healed. I loved his character development, and though there's still a long way for him to go in order to finally let go of old hurts and blame, it was a start.

Aether is exactly the kind of morally grey MMC I want. The way this man was ready to eviscerate anyone who MIGHT pose a potential threat to Tate was everything. Without any regard to who they were, what rank they held, how long he'd known them, or the consequences he'd face, his only focus was to protect Tate, and he went to extreme lengths to ensure that. Good lord, this man!! He was magnificent in every way, be it when he was the lethal warrior or the worshipping lover, and incredibly charming in both his male and dragon form.

Tate was just as brilliant and badass as I remember. Her strength, determination, fierceness, and rage were all traits that made me love her. And though when she found out that everything she'd known to be true her whole life was a lie, there was fear, betrayal, and uncertainty, but it also gave way to curiosity. With every new revelation, her existing beliefs crumbled. She went through so much, both physically and emotionally, and I truly admire her resilience. Her journey of discovering the truth about her Untish heritage, learning more about her magic and how to wield it, and learning about the Untish Tribe was challenging to say the least.

What I also admired about her character was the way she slowly learned the combat skills every Untishee needed to learn despite her bone discrepancy. And it didn't magically happen overnight either. I could feel her frustration with every failed attempt, every grueling training session, and every cruel comment thrown her way by others. The growth in her skills was progressive but also realistic.

Aether and Tate together were a force to be reckoned with. The growth in their relationship was tremendous, albeit gradual and not without its ups and downs. Though there was a connection between them that neither could deny, they weren't willing to address it initially either, due to their own reasons. There was a lot of push and pull between them, especially given the circumstances surrounding how they met and Aether's actions in FoF. There was some significant self-reflection on both their ends, which was crucial as they tried to navigate their relationship, learning to trust and rely on each other.

The way Aether was the strong presence Tate needed every step of the way, guiding her, nudging her, giving her all the right motivation, assurance, and support she needed while never forcing or expecting anything in return.

I loveddddd the banter between Aether and Tate. I was laughing so hard at how Aether teased Tate just as much as he turned her on and how Tate used her own ways to get back at him. Their chemistry was off the charts, which was so clear with all that sexual tension, their growing bond, and the inexplicable sense of belonging and rightness Tate felt with Aether. The spice was just the right amount, not taking away from the plot but also oh. sooooo. good!!

Chance's character made me have a lot of conflicting feelings towards him throughout the book, which was a reflection of his own conflicting feelings about the actions and choices he had to make. The way Rebecca has managed to write a character that made me feel such a mix of emotions where it wasn't as simple as black or white. There were so many shades of grey when it came to Chance, and I was just as lost about the moral dilemmas he had to face throughout the book. I also got a better understanding of why book 1 focused on Chance's POV, and the way things have progressed in book 2, there's a lot of potential and so many directions his character arc could go in.

The side characters in the series continue to play vital roles, with a few new characters being introduced in this book. The relationship they had with the MCs also added more depth to the characters and intensified the plot. These characters also had their own journeys that we learn about and feel just as invested in. Shae, Vala, Dux Holland, James, and Dux Carran, along with new characters Camella, Carly, Uley, Ruby, and Clarence all played important roles.

Those last 100-120 pages were an absolute roller coaster. SO much happened, and it just left me reeling. The anxiety I felt for these characters made me want to just put my book in the freezer like Joey did in F.R.I.E.N.D.S., BUT at the same time I couldn't not know what happened. I was like, NO! NO! NO! NO! and then YES! YES! YES! YES! and just screaming at the characters in general. I just couldn't sit still while reading, and I'm pretty sure I looked deranged to anyone who saw me. Saying it was intense is an understatement. Just as in the last book, the way the entire scene played out made me feel like I was actually present there.

What in the name of Mother Blood was that cliffhanger?????? What am I supposed to do till the next book comes out? How am I supposed to wait to get more answers? I NEED book three RIGHT NOW!!!!

Thank you to Rebecca Parcha and InkSlinger PR for providing me with the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Daughter of Destiny by Rebecca Parcha

I received the second  book in the Untish series as an eARC and could not put it down! I even took it with me to the hospital and had to read it as soon as I was out of surgery! Rebecca writes in such a way that the characters are easy to digest but also builds such an incredible world with intricate magical systems. Our FMC Tate is half vampire, part Dragons Shifter with some Fae and such a bad ass!

Daughter of Destiny includes:
- Found Family
- Enemies to Lovers
- Intricate Magic Systems
- Shadow Daddy
- Badass FMC
- Vampires
- Fae
- Dragon Shifters
- Spice 🌶🌶🌶
- Multiple POV

Book two in the Untish series did such an incredible job with the continuation of character development in terms of self-discovery, magical discovery, and character morality.
Tate and Aether's relationship builds, and we get to know them so much more and on a deeper level, as well as some extra spicy scenes 🌶🌶.
Chance's character goes through it in this book with many ups and downs, lefts, and rights.
And the cliffhanger you are left on is a doozy, and I can not wait for the third boot in the Untish series.

I never imagined that a character who’s half vampire, half dragon, with a sprinkle of fae could be so captivating! This js the 2nd book from the Untish Series. Both books are super easy to read and kept me hooked from beginning to end. The story explores the epic battle between good and evil and themes of self-discovery, new love, family, and acceptance.

I really appreciate how the spicy scenes complement the story without overshadowing it. It strikes the perfect balance of romance, adventure, action, magic, and meaningful lessons. I felt all the emotions that the characters were experiencing. I sometimes avoid books that leave me feeling drained, but this one was just what I needed after a stressful week of exams!

I whipped through the first two books back to back, and now I'm eagerly awaiting book 3. Can't wait!

Thank you, Rebecca for the ARC.

Theirs alot of things Rebbeccas good at BUT DAMN ANOTHER CLIFF YALL😭 This one worse then the last, i was not expecting that to happen!!!

Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off! Rebecca upped the anti on the magic, and action, we have more battles and more politice intruge! With all of that comes a lot of betrayal, tests of loyalty, and a fine line between what really is good and evil!

I now see why Chances POV, was so important in the first book! I kinda feel bad for him, and then sometimes i dont, hoping that man gets a redemption arc! We got some of Aethers POV which i ADORED! Tate & Aethers relationship continues blossom since Tate accepted their bond and im HERE FOR IT!!

So much has changed for all of them and theyre adapting the best way they can! All the banter between all the main and side characters continues to keep me laughing!
Once again the spice is definitely SPICINN but doesnt overtake the book!

This book deserves allll the praisess🤌🏼

ARC Review:

Total read time: 18 hours 59 minutes

This book tested my patience in every way possible. It was long and frustrating yet I couldn't put it down.

If I thought i knew anything at all from the 1st book, I was proven wrong. The first 200 pages were absolute torture, i thought about putting the book down several times during that but what they say, fruit of patience is sweeter. This story started on dangerous territory, the after of any ending and how relationships actually grow. I enjoyed it in its own sense if not for it being too long.

I will give it to the author to seamlessly weave the secrets in every scene and the significance behind them. The new characters, scenes and magic introduced and to walk between the intricate lies and truths, it was intense to say the least.

Each book introduced a part of this world to us, and Untish tribe was as fun to read as Glenn. Tate walked a brand new path all over again and so did I. This world will always be on my mind whether I like or not. Can't wait to read more secrets, truths and hidden relationships

P.s If Tate was writing this she would surely say: "All this reading just to write these 3 pages."
Character Review:

Tatarea:

Tate and I started on rocky ground. Again. I remember noting down one time that she was so immature and hot-headed, seeing nothing before her and her trust issues knew no bound. That happened through the entirety of the first 200 pages. But then I began to understand her, her want and need for control stemmed from not having a choice throughout life. Her character grew wonderfully to say the least and I couldn't be more pleased with the development. She grew to forgive, to forget and her wounds healed. This was the beautiful thing that happened due to her bond with Aether that she took her sweet time to accept. But she felt real. A thing I adored about her was how badass she was, not afraid to confront anyone. Tatarea Aralyn Bloom was annoying but she grew on me.

Aether:

This man infuriated me to no end in the start (I know, I am repeating it again) His secrets became too much for me, like there was no limit. I was angry and frustrated at him to the point of wanting to punch him. But I will give it to him, this man lived and breathed for her. I know I'm contradicting myself, but Tate wouldn't have survived without him. He did and gave so much asking for nothing in return. His past and traumas were sad to say the least. I would have given him a hug if I could.

Chance:

Chance. Chance, what do I say about you?! Having read his story from the beginning to now, I now realized how you feel when you see a person changing into something, a villain. Half of the book, I was heartbroken for him; at the circumstances that caged him, with no guidance he became evil personified. His mind was never strong, easily manipulated. The lies he believed, solidified. To the point, where he didn't want to change and became evil willingly. That's when I started loathing him. He didn't let anyone help him and that's what made him evil. He will need a huge redemption arc, bigger than any written before. His story really showed how some people really aren't strong enough to fight against evil. Their will too shallow.

Others:

Every other character had their own struggles in this book. Their lives altered, what you really expect happens in a war.

I am sooo in love with this series!

I had a feeling about the Untish Series and as soon as I read the first book, Fangs Of Fate, I fell in love with the characters, both good and bad. Daughter Of Destiny picks up where Fangs Of Fate left off, so the series does need to be read in order.

“Sounds like I may be a badass.”

The story is told from multiple points of view. Tate is definitely a badass and she grows to know it, as do others. She is part vampire, part dragon and part fae. With a combination like that, I foresee great things in her future. I love that she has a handicap and she does not let it hold her back.

I am not surprised that there is a prophecy. A lost heir will be found and she will restore balance. Of course, I know who that lost heir is, but that does not take away from the steps we have to take to discover it.

The characters gain more depth and come into their own as the story progresses. We have some great villains…and I do love my villains. There is one in particular that I have my eye on. I wonder if he can, or will, redeem himself. He sure does go through hell.

The romance is a bit steamy. but it does not take away from the story.

The battle is good against evil. It gets very dark, and I do love walking on the dark side. The battles are vicious and many will fall. The world Rebecca Parcha has created is rich in detail. There is another cliffhanger, but I am hooked, so I will be eagerly waiting for the next book.

There is so much I want to tell you, but I won’t. You will need to find out for yourself. If you love fantasy, dragons, vampires and fae, this is a must read.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

Okay.. I don’t even know where to begin.. i genuinely had to take 24 hours to revise what i wanted to type for my review because this second book of the Untish Series was INCREDIBLE🤌🏻🔥😍 I have SO MUCH to say, but firstly as a quick overview. The universe Rebecca has created within these books is nothing like i’ve ever read before and i’m forever HOOKED. The character progression and world building development from Fangs Of Fate leading into Daughter of Destiny takes this second instalment to another level ENTIRELY😍🔥

Daughter Of Destiny delves deeper into the world of the Untish, The Glenn, Vampires, Humans & Fae alike, Political intrigue (honestly sometimes i’m not a fan of, but in this book it makes the whole freaking series AMAZING because SO MUCH happens tangled within the political scandals, it’s incredible!) secrets, betrayals, found family, spice, extraordinary power systems, monsters, battles, dragons, fights for Good Vs. evil and everything you could want from an EPIC fantasy book!

DOD opens up to more POV’s to see in depth the personal journey’s of Tate, Aether and Chance from VERY different perspectives as they all have personal discoveries, experiences and haunting pasts that effect them all differently throughout the book and it opens up so much potential within the series! They’re all interlinked in some ways that you never thought would be possible! It’s amazing! (Ofc we were all ecstatic to know we get Daddy Aethers POV😏) And it just made the book that much more gripping!

After the EXPLOSIVE (😏) ending of Fangs Of Fate i was DYING to see what happened next and i never expected ANY of the things to happen that did actually happen in Daughter Of Destiny, it was ALL mind blowing🤯🤯 i was literally hooked from page one and i had to force myself to slow down reading because i genuinely didn’t want to put it down and when i did it was all i could think about!!💜

THE ENDING WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANNEEEE! I honestly think i’m going to be in a complete book hangover until i get the third book in my hands after that ending!! I was absolutely MIND. BLOWN. I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS AND SO MANY THEORIES REELING AROUND IN MY HEAD. And i know for a FACT that book three will be just as amazing & will fill all of our desires just like this second instalment did plus SO MUCH MORE.

Tate is now one of my fave FMC’s forever, her development throughout these books is something special for real. And OFC Aether makes me swooon and will now forever be on my book boyfriend’s list!😏

I want to say soooooo much more its unreal but honestly i just can’t WAIT for this book to be out in the world so everyone can experience what an outstanding series this is!

Yet again another absolute MASTERPIECE written by Rebecca and I can’t WAIT for this book to be out in the world! I’m so so privileged to have been part of the ARC team for both Untish books so far and will apply INSTANTLY for all future books from Rebecca! Her work is absolutely magnificent and not just the books but her hard work with all of us behind the scenes, the pure passion she puts into her work AND working with us as a team is out of this world, she deserves all the support in the world as an author and as a genuinely amazing person💜💜

Destiny indeed!!!

I was very eager to get my talons in to the second book of this fantastic series by Rebecca Parcha.
Just WOW!! I really loved it.

I absolutely loved the action scenes, the author is a master at this and she has proved it yet again. They were so gripping and i couldn't read fast enough.

The development of each character -Tate, Aether, Chance, Shae and Holland, especially- in terms of their identity, magic, power, internal strength and morality was very intriguing and amazing to read and witness.

The clash of good and evil, from a personal viewpoint to how it's affecting the helpless masses around them who feels so trivial is very thought provoking. How every choice we make matters, including their staggering costs and the internal battle leading up to them reveals the part of us we may not want to see is so complex. And the highlight is that she has managed to say it all through relatable and intimate storytelling.

The emotional and physical intimacy between the different characters was just beautiful. The right amount of spice and adornments. Loved the new sceneries too. The political games were intricate and yet to be fully revealed, which is exciting.

Needless to say, I'm very thrilled for the next book, 'blushing for all the regal plot twists!' 😉💖🖤

Thank you Rebecca Parcha for trusting me with your book. It was a privilege to be one of your ARC readers.

The Untish Series continues with Daughter of Destiny! Let me tell you this...if you're not reading this series...you're missing out! This book will grab you and suck you in before you even know what's happening.
This novel picks up where book one left off. Tate has been through a lot, but this thing that she's going through? I'ts not over! Not by a long shot! Her friend was hurt, but she had to leave her behind. Now, Tate is being taken to the home of the Untish clans. You'd think the hard part is over, right? Wrong! While Tate is coming into her own, she's in even more danger. Why? Because her past is coming back to announce to the world who and what she truly is.
Then there is Chance. Boy oh boy, this book just keeps getting better. Exposed to dark magic, forever changed, magic now infused into his body. You don't know which direction you want to go with him. Shake him, hug him...or worse. LOL! He's a chaotic character, but he's struggling with the changes and it all just makes this book wild.
Not a complete fan of Aether's bullying tactics or Tate's aggressive behavior, but we can understand it. Don't have to like it, but we get it.
This book is absolutely riveting and the minute we sat down to read it...yeah...page devouring session was in full force. We have to know what happens next so we will be here...eagerly waiting for more.

holy moly!!! I freaking LOVE this series. this book is the second in the Untish Series (pronounced you-n-tish).. don't be like me and pronounce it wrong the whole first book until you get to the pronunciation guide in this book. If you're a romantasy reader, love vampires, fae, dragons, basically everything cool, then you need to read this book. The world-building is absolutely insane and the character arcs are something else! I read a lot of books you'd call spicy, romantasy, etc. but this one really has been taking up so much space in my mind this month. I can't recommend this series enough. The first book is called Fangs of Fate, please go read it and let me know what you think. That one was great and somehow this one was EVEN BETTER!

“Always live with your heart, trust it, and know its truth. It alone will guide you.”

“The desire to protect fought with one that begged me to devour.”

Following Tate and Chance’s storylines as they experience and learn about their new selves. They do meet again, like in book one, but the camaraderie doesn’t seem to be there any longer. We also get Aether’s POV in this book and I absolutely love it!

This story felt so very important to our characters. As much has changed for each of them. Some for the better, others for the worse. I really REALLY hope someone gets a redemption later in the series. Learning about Aether’s past was heart wrenching. Tate training and learning her new power was amazing and fun. The banter between lovers and also friends was perfect. This series will definitely be up there with some of the popular books, in my opinion. The plot, the twists, the world…who couldn’t get lost in it and fall in love?

Thank you Rebecca for this wildly beautiful story. I can’t wait to learn more about the Untish and their history.

I’m not even sure where to start with this book! The ending of book one had me so excited for book two.
Book two did not disappoint. The world building is slow and steady throughout the book. The magic system is unlike anything I’ve ever read before. The entire dynamic between the different characters and the story line is amazing. There is so much going on with different POVs that makes it a new and refreshing take on deeply detailed fantasy! If you’re looking for a book to slowly savor with spice and a great plot this is the one!

Now to wait for book 3!

This book had everything—vampires, dragons, fae, and so many twists I didn’t see coming! I loved how the world kept expanding in ways that felt natural but still surprising. The characters really stepped up, and the way their stories collided was so good. That cliffhanger at the end? Absolutely brutal (in the best way). I need the next book ASAP!

Omg this book…if I could give it 10 ⭐️ I would. The first book in this series, Fangs of Fate was amazing but this one blew me away!!
In this one Tate learns more about who she is and her new powers begin revealing. She forms alliances with unexpected people. The plans form for revenge but will she get it? She also learns of a new powerful enemy.
We also experience more of Chance’s story and the changes he’s undergoing. He’s also forming new alliances and has new powers.
This is WAR and there are several enemies fighting against each other.
I can’t leave out the love story. It’s a slow burn, the tension becomes almost too much but the little wins are fun and the big wins are very 🔥
If you love dragons, magic, prophecies, royalty, political intrigue and beasts, you will LOVE this one! Daughter of Destiny releases May 8! Thank you Rebecca Parcha for letting me be on your arc team! It’s been intense but a fabulous journey! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!

I’m so thankful to have received an eARC of Daughter of Destiny, and wow - this series just keeps getting better! The magic system is so unique and unlike anything else I’ve read, and I absolutely love it.

Like the first book, this one has multiple POVs, and I’m still not totally sure how I feel about Chance... but I am 100% HERE for Tate and Aether! Their chemistry and banter are everything, and I loved getting to learn more about Aether’s past in this one.

We got some long-awaited answers from book one, but of course, now I have even more questions! I really enjoyed seeing all the character development - especially with Tate -and diving deeper into the world of the Untish. Between the fae, vampires, dragon shifters, dark magic, secrets, betrayal, political twists, fated mates and war… this book has everything.

I can’t wait to continue on this journey with Tate!

Wow... I loved this book way more than the first one! i'm in awe😍 I don't know how I will cope without the next book😭 Firstly, thank-you to Rebecca for the arc and ebook of both books! I read Fangs of Fate and gave it 4-4.5⭐ and this book I rated 5⭐ the covers of these books are beautiful! I found this book a lot better grammatically, it flowed more, and again I loved the different POV's. I found myself not caring for Chance's POV in this book honestly but it didn't take anything away from the book and it makes sense for the storyline. I love pretty much all the characters but, Tate, Aether and Vala are my top 3🥰 This was only my 3rd Romantasy book and i've thoroughly enjoyed the series so far, i'm excited for book 3 and I really loved all the elements and story and the world building! the plot is 🔥 I didn't find it repetitive at all and it was hard for me to put the book down even if it was a long book, I loved every second of it! 100% recommend both books/the series! Definitely spicer than the 1st book but it was enjoyable (and i'm not normally a Romance/Spice girly) but Rebecca did it well. Daughter of Destiny is a must read❤️

Are you a fan of Forth Wing? Are you a fan of Throne of Glass? Then this is for you! This book has it all. magic, action, adventure, and romance. Omg the Spice chefs kiss 💋... yes, please.

Do you love: Fae.Vampire.Dragons? well, buckle up butter cup! A vampire that's half dragon and a sprinkle of fae! Yes, you read that right. All wrapped in pure perfection! I've never heard of such a thing, but I'm obsessed! I love them all now. I no longer have to decide which I love more. I want to be a vampire/dragon/fae. I would be the most beautiful creature ever. I'd love to date one.
I won't lie. before reading this book, I was mainly a vampire girly... you know what they say once you go..... you never go back..All though I don't think I'd survive. (Before Twilight, and the books were better, just saying).

The covers are absolutely stunning, like I am obsessed. I honestly originally read book 1: Fangs Of Fate because I thought the cover was stunning 😍. little did I know I would become obsessed with these characters. And the series. The series is easy to follow. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I was not bored once while reading this! Half the time, I forgot I was reading. I had to remind myself that this is a fantasy and not real life because I was able to picture exactly what was happening.
Book 1 was good. Dont get me wrong, but book 2 was better, honestly. These cliffhangers are torture! I can't ugh... I don't have patience...

I can't wait to see what happens next in book 3!
My favorite series for 2025

"I will protect you. You don’t have to be anything you don’t want to be."

Tate Aaralyn thought she knew who she was—a vampire, a warrior, a survivor. But discovering she's an Untish dragon shifter changes everything. With danger closing in, she’s forced to rely on Aether Brychan, who is tied to her in ways she doesn’t fully understand. As they uncover buried secrets and fight to survive, Tate must decide if she’s ready to embrace the power within her—or risk losing everything.

The Untish world is like nothing I’ve ever read before—vampires, dragons, and magic, all woven together in such a unique way. Daughter of Destiny picks up right where Fangs of Fate left off, pulling me in from the first page. The pacing was perfect, revealing major secrets and deepening Tate’s journey into her Untish heritage.

What really had me hooked was Tate’s growth. Learning about her powers and how Aether supports her was everything. And the bond between Aether and Tate? Chef’s kiss. The chemistry, the tension, the banter—everything was spot on. Aether’s POV added so much depth, and let’s just say I was not prepared for his past.

"I’m about to rip some heads off over here, but if you don’t stop the self-deprivation, I’ll put this on hold and come over there and show you just how perfect I think you are. In many, many different ways."

If you're not already obsessed with the Untish series, you’re seriously missing out. This book has the perfect blend of romance, action, and adventure. I can't wait for book 3!

Thank you, Rebecca Parcha, for the ARC of Daughter of Destiny!

This sequel grabs you and does not let go. Everything I loved in Fangs of Fate, the slow-burn tension, morally grey choices, and rich lore... gets sharper, deeper, and so much more dangerous. Rebecca Parcha levels up the Untish world in every possible way.

Tate is fire and fury. She stops being the girl unsure of her place, she’s stepping into her power, questioning everything, and fighting like hell for her people and herself. Her growth is raw, messy, and real. Aether brings the shadows, brooding and brilliant as ever, with just enough vulnerability to wreck you. And let’s talk about Chance... I was not a fan of his in the first book, but he gained some levels, and absolutely became the wild card I didn’t know I needed. There’s tension, betrayal, loyalty, and enough heat to keep your heart racing.

The pacing is sharp in this one.
No second book slump here. Every chapter moves with intent, keeping the emotional tension high while delivering action, heartbreak, and twist after twist. The multi POVs are done right, enhancing the story without dragging it down. I devoured this and immediately want to reread it.

The world expands and deepens.
We get more of the brutal politics, deeper layers of Untish history, and the kind of magic that feels ancient and alive. The lore is woven in so seamlessly it never feels like exposition. Between dragons, fae, vampires, and the Veil, there’s a sense of danger and wonder on every page.

Daughter of Destiny is bold, brutal, and beautifully written. It doesn’t just continue the story, it claims it. If you're into romantasy that bites back, heroines who burn, and tension so thick you could cut it with a blade... this one’s for you. Bring on book three. I’m not ready, but I’m all in.

Rebecca Parcha, what are you doing to us? Because Daughter of Destiny is pure magical chaos in the BEST possible way. I was hooked from page one like a fae caught in a forbidden love trap. Action? Check. Magic? Double check. Romance, betrayal, fated mates, and blush-worthy spice? Check, check, and oh-my-god-check.

Tate is that girl. Watching her grow into her power had me cheering like a proud parent at a magic duel. And Aether? He’s the full fantasy package hot, emotionally supportive, and haunted by just enough tragic backstory to keep me up at night. Their chemistry is electric, their banter is hilarious, and their bond? Perfection. Pure, swoon-worthy perfection.

The magic system? Unlike anything I’ve read. The world-building? Off the charts. The plot twists? Basically roundhouse-kicked me in the feelings. And just when I thought I could relax we get hit with another cliffhanger. Classic.

This book hit every note: romance, tension, betrayal, healing, dragons, and secrets. I felt everything. 5 stars, easy. Book three can’t come soon enough and yes, I would 100% trade my mortal soul for it. No regrets.

Also, if you love books with rich, descriptive writing like Fourth Wing, When the Moon Hatched, or Crescent City then you’re going to absolutely devour the Untish Series. It strikes the perfect balance of immersive fantasy, deep emotional growth, and jaw-dropping action.

Thank you to Rebecca for letting me be on your ARC team, it’s truly been so much fun and an honour to get to follow you (& Tate & Aether) on this journey!

Daughter of Destiny continues where the first one left off. We continue to follow Tate/ Aether’s journey as well as Chance’s descent into…whatever the heck that was. We also got some of Aether’s POV in this one which was just so much fun and was a nice way to break up the back and forth of Tate and Chance’s chapters.

I am a sucker for a good “girl with no training starts to train and learns to be a badass” arc, and Tate was no exception. Getting to see her learn to hold her own regardless of her limb difference was beautiful. As well as that, she also grows more in herself as she learns more about who and what she is. Her character grows so much in this book, as does her relationship with Aether.

As for Chance, the first part of this book I just didn’t care as much about him as I did about Tate and Aether, but then his character arc took a MAJOR turn and he descends into magic and madness at the same time. Once that started, I couldn’t put his chapters down.

Daughter of destiny answered many questions posed in book one, but left me with even more. I absolutely adore our badass MC, and of course Aether & I can’t wait for the third book to see where everything leads, and to see Tate step fully into who she is.

🔥Enemies to lovers
🔥 Badass FMC
🔥fated mates
🔥 dragons, fae, & shifters
🔥 shadow daddy
🔥 spice
🔥 political intrigue

Thank you Rebecca Parcha for the gifted eARC!

I adored the first book (Fangs of Fate) and dove right into this one because I had to know what happened next. This book completely leveled up the stakes, the romance, and my love for this series! The pacing was perfect, and I was so invested in the story that I at no point felt like I was reading a 600+ page book. There was also a ton of lore in this, but the author did a fantastic job of presenting it in a way that was digestible and made sense for the story. I never felt like I was slogging through any info dumps and I knew every detail was intentionally included to either answer a lingering question or to set up a future plot point. This series continues to defy my expectations for romantasy and I’m recommending it to anyone who loves vampires, shifters, dragons, or just a very good slow burn romance with impeccable payoff. I will 100% be getting a physical copy for my shelf when it releases because it has already solidified itself as one of the most memorable books I’ve read in a long time!

Özellikle Chance’in gözünden okuduğumuz kısımlar oldukça çileden çıkarıcıydı. Ayrıca sonunda Holland’a üzüldüm.

I received this book as an arc read and here are my thoughts:
I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW.

WOW. This was so amazing. I was completely sucked into this world. The politics? The background? Dragons. Fae. Vampires. Dark magic. Literally this reminds me of fourth wing with like game of thrones esque.

There’s spice. There is a plot!!! And well developed characters.

Do I hate Chance? Yes. Do I understand the reasons behind the madness? Also, yes.

Rebecca has OUTDONE herself. I did kinda see stuff with Arithi coming. But, I am so waiting to find out more.

Also, had to reread the ending MULTIPLE times and had to read the end to see there is more to Aether. I was like PHEW. I was NERVOUS. Because Aether and Tate??? End game.

I liked it more than fangs of fate. But, it’s because so much of things had to be set up in the book. And the spice in this book. Superb.

Ahhhhh. I hope I get to read the next in the series!!
