mesmerizing
I think the book managed to cover a month in Paric Kilhaven’s life and include enough dirt, blood, and pain to fill a lifetime, or end it! But that’s part of the fun. The main character dies repeatedly, but doesn’t die. And in some ways, life is like that (except sometimes we actually do die … or part of us does). But the dirt, blood and pain part is definitely something we can relate to. If we don’t experience the triumphs that Paric does, at least we can enjoy reading about his.

I love reading these books so much I hate to finish them….if that makes sense.
Another great book in the series.
The war action and political hijinks made for a great read.
