SHE'S TRYING TO SALVAGE HER CAREER. HE'S DESPERATE TO REPAIR HIS REPUTATION. NEITHER EXPECTED A SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE.
Tabitha Handcock’s sports journalism career is on the rocks. The former professional climber has one shot to prove she’s still capable of crafting a standout article. The only problem is she hasn’t climbed outside of a gym in the past three years and it’s starting to affect her work. Now she’s dusting off her gear and heading to Leavenworth, WA in a last-ditch effort to save her job.
Since climbing guide Zac Hartford hit rock bottom at his friend’s wedding last winter, he’s been trying to prove he’s left his devil-may-care, rakish persona behind. So when his boss—and best friend—asks Zac to host a journalist from Rock ‘n’ Ropes Magazine for a week of climbing excursions, the former playboy quickly agrees. But Zac is stunned when he learns the journalist is a former flame and is desperate to keep old feelings contained.
Despite their past, Tabitha and Zac are stuck together and the only thing they can agree on is the importance of maintaining professional boundaries, even if the crux of that plan means denying any attraction—or deeper feelings—still exists.
K. L. Parsons writes swoony, adventure romances set in the Pacific Northwest. When she isn't writing she can be found reading, playing board games, climbing, hiking, and generally exploring the great outdoors. She lives with her husband, son, and doodle mutt, Frank, in the lush PNW.
This was my first ARC read. Thank you NetGalley, Victory Editing, and K.L. Parsons for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This second chance/ adventure romance was an easy fun read. As someone who loves the outdoors/hiking/etc I enjoyed this book and will have to definitely read the other two in the series. Also enjoyed the main characters being more around my age! Lark was such a fun addition and supportive good friend. Loved the glimpses and updates on Lucy and Jon's life. The only thing that would've made it 5 stars is maybe a little bit less extra chapters which I felt like just dragged the story on.
Thank you NetGalley, Victory Editing and K.L. Parsons for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Tabitha, a former professional climber turned journalist is given a ultimatum by her boss: write an amazing spread for the magazine or lose her job in the midst of company downsizing. Tabitha's assignment is to experience some of the guided climbs by Off the Beaten Adventures and then write about them.
Along with Lark, the bubbly photographer who grew on me throughout the book, Tabitha heads to Leavenworth. Where she comes across Zac, the adventure guide, who happens to be an ex from many years ago. They both have unresolved feelings which come to a head during one of their excursions.
This book is told with flashbacks to Tabitha and Zac's previous relationship mixed in with the current story.
In the prior books, Zac was billed as a manwhore (which isn't my favorite MMC trait) and I really didn't like him after Frankie's book. Basically, Zac had a lot of work to do to win the reader over.
After reading this book, I still don't love Zac, but I do like him and I'm happy he got his HEA. He does show a ton of character growth throughout the book; changes his former playboy ways, not just for Tabitha, but even before they get together.
I really enjoyed Tabitha's character. She lives a very regimented life, courtesy of being a professional athlete and her overbearing parents. A few years ago, she stopped climbing altogether, which negatively impacted her on many levels, including her job performance (hence having to go on this trip to save her job). She learns to let loose a little and do things that she enjoys, even if they're "bad" for her. Seriously, who can resist onion rings?
Looks like the next book in this series is Todd's, and I'm looking forward to that because I've loved him in all the books so far. I'm really hoping Lark gets her HEA after that...
*slow burn *second chance *former playboy MMC *adventure romance *FMC estranged from parents *open door
Once again I requested a book not realizing it was part of a series. This may be the third book but can definitely be read as a standalone.

I really really loved this book. The rock climbing aspect was so unique but not once was boring or hard to understand. I loved all of the characters, including those on the side and the found family aspect they had with each other.
At times repetitive and very spicy; the storyline started to drag towards the end and there was a random pov that was unnecessary. I’m assuming it’s going to have something to do with book 4 but again not needed.
Overall, I really enjoyed this and highly recommend, will definitely be going back to read the previous books in the series
Thank you NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op and K.L. Parsons for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 3rd book in the series and I’ve enjoyed them all.
This one focuses the most on the technical terms of a sport (climbing) which is not something I’m familiar with so pieces of it went over my head but would probably be extremely enjoyable for someone into the sport.
Tabitha is a former pro rock climber, current journalist covering the sport. Her publication (and job) are at risk and she’s sent on an assignment to essentially prove she still has passion for climbing after a nasty injury 3 years ago.
Zac has been the playboy - always around for a good time, never one to rely on in the two previous books. He has to step up to lead Tabitha’s climbs when his boss and best friend isn’t available. Zac and Tabitha are both shocked when they see each other for the first time in 16yrs - since they dated for a short but impactful time before Zac left without a word and broke Tabitha’s heart.
Zac was a tough MMC since he leaned very selfish in the past but I was happy to see he was trying to improve on his own, even before Tabitha came into the picture.
Tabitha is extremely regimented and closed off from her childhood of very overbearing parents and being an athlete. I enjoyed seeing her find her passion again, open up to some new friends and eat the dang onion rings!
I hadn’t heard of K.L. Parsons before getting Love on a Ledge from NetGalley. So after getting the ARC, I had to go and read the first two books in the series and I devoured all three books in under a week.
I went into these books with a love of the town of Leavenworth already. Yes! It’s a real town in Washington and it’s also real freaking cute… if you didn’t already know! My family visits a couple times every year. My read prior to this was a book based in Seattle from writers who clearly don’t know the area and all of the setting inaccuracies were infuriating. So reading a book about a favorite spot written by a local who clearly knows the area, writes it accurately, and gives the books an authentic PNW vibe, was a breath of fresh air (unintentional pun considering the outdoor adventure aspect of the books).
After seeing Zac’s character in the first two books and the limited view of his childish and player-like personality there, I was curious how his character would evolve into a likable MMC in this book. The second book sets up his story well for changing his ways (but this can definitely still be read as a standalone). Zac is giving me all of the “Carry You Home” by Alex Warren vibes in this book. The slow burn between Tabby and Zac is delicious.
I hope I can run into K.L. Parsons at a local book event soon just to say hi and I can’t wait to see what where we visit next after Leavenworth.
PS - I loved seeing all my favorite Leavenworth people in this book too for just a glimpse of how their lives were going. I’m super invested in Lark and Clint (from book 2) as characters. I need their stories too!
Rating: 5/5 (for this book and the entire series actually) Spice: 2/5
I love when I read books that the setting is places that I have been or live near. It makes it so easy to put myself in the story and not only because of the author’s descriptive voice, but because I have seen the location in person. I can smell the location, taste the surroundings, and remember how this place made me feel. KL Parsons does an amazing job bringing the area of Leavenworth, WA to life within all her books. Her descriptive language paints Leavenworth in a way that can only happen if you have experienced yourself and this makes her books so easy to fall in love with. Love on a Ledge, the third book in her Stranded in Leavenworth, brings new and previous characters together.
Tabitha is on assignment and this will make or break keeping her job with her current employer. She is a former professional climber, who has since given up the sport turned journalist. When her boss gives her a job she can’t turn down, she finds herself on her way to Off the Beaten Adventures needing to return with a story that will create an amazing spread for her magazine. Fail and due to the magazine’s downsizing, she will find herself out of a job. When she arrives at the Adventures office, along with her photographer, she finds herself face to face with her ex from years ago. Having unresolved feelings is now going to make this job harder than it already was.
Zac was excited for the opportunity about his company being featured in an adventure magazine. Until he sees the journalist who is writing the story, his ex, Tabith, from years ago. Their breakup isn’t one he’s gotten over yet and her being around just causes those feelings to boil to the forefront of his mind. Due to Zac’s character being in earlier books, he wasn’t written in the best light, so he had work in not only dealing with his ex, but also winning over readers of the series. However, he reminds readers the things you do when “the one” walks away, the things you can do to bury the pain and the things you are willing to do to prove yourself again.
KL does an excellent job bringing these two back together and allowing their lives to intertwine perfectly, even after years apart. The growth both Tabitha and Zac go through in this book is powerful. Zac’s finally having to face a lot of decisions he’s made since letting Tabitha go and Tabitha remembering how to not be afraid to not always be in control. I loved watching Tabitha let go of her control, when the things she gave into were things most people would not view as bad. This story also set up her next story nicely and I am excited to see what she has in store for our next couple!
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect: 🌄Second Chance Romance 💚Adventure Romance 🌄Set in the PNW 💚Reformed Rake 🌄MCs in Their 30s 💚Unavoidable Proximity
Katie Leigh Parsons hit is out of the park, or off the mountain, in Love on a Ledge. This is the final book in her "Stranded in Leavenworth" series and it was my favorite of the three basically because I could see myself in the MMC.
This final chapter of Leavenworth follows Zac as he grapples with changing from the playboy of the series to one that the other characters, his friends, can respect. The story is 16 years in the making after he hits rock bottom and embarrasses himself with actions that would be difficult to out live for anyone (end of book 2, gotta read to find out what he did - no spoiler here).
16 years ago, while Zac was on his soul searching adventure, he met and connected with a professional rock climber, Tabitha (aka Tabby Cat) and began a relationship. But true to his nature 16 years ago, he left without a word that affected each of their future relationships and personal psyche.
Fast forward to present day: Tabitha is a journalist for a climbing magazine who is faced with budget cuts and laying off employees. Tabitha is given a chance to save her job by going on assignment to report on an outdoor company in her home state of Washington. She arrives in Leavenworth and runs into none other than Zac.
Awkwardness aside, Zac is to be their, Tabitha and her photographer, guide as they traverse the mountainside and boulders. The chemistry that was there 16 years ago is still there, albeit covered under years of hurt and betrayal. The interactions between Zac and Tabitha are what you might see in any circle where exes meet up again and still have underlying feelings for each other, just not sure if they want to uncover the hurt they have been carrying.
Forced proximity can change that and they finally get to talk about how their relationship ended 16 years ago. Realizing what actually happened when all the facts were laid out causes Tabitha to request some time to digest it all. She still loves Zac, and he still loves her.
The HEA does happen in this book as they work through their pain and begin a life together.
Again, a great book with humor, emotional swings, heart bearing confessions, love and a little bit of spice.
looking for a love story with a view of the outside world, check this one out. you will not be disappointed.
This is book 3 in the Stranded in Leavenworth series and follows Zac and his ex girlfriend, Tabitha.
Tabitha has been sent to Leavenworth to participate in some climbing in order to write a feature article about the company Zac works for but she doesn't realise that Zac works there until she turns up on her first day and sees him again in the local bar. Clearly he hasn't forgotten her either, but he up and left her one night 16 years ago without an explanation and now they have to spend a week working together for the article.
Zac has always been the unreliable player who sleeps with everyone and anything and is constantly on the move following his own flights of fancy. But after making a huge fool of himself at his best friends wedding he has vowed to change his ways, but unfortunately it takes his friends a little longer to get on board with the changed man. So when he offers to step up and look after the business and Tabitha for the week while his best friend is on baby boot camp with his heavily pregnant wife, it's met with some scepticism, but because they love him they give him the opportunity to prove himself.
Both Tabitha and Zac are struggling to keep their attraction reined in and leads to a couple of encounters between the two until eventually Tabitha finds the courage to ask him why he left her without saying anything.
I didn't really connect with either character and I having read the second book and the way Zac behaved towards Frankie, I really didn't like him much. So even though he's trying to better himself, he was still not a very likable person. After behaving the way he did for 15+ years, he seemed shocked his friends didn't immediately think of him differently after a few months of changed behaviour.
The connection between the two felt forced and unrealistic, their personalities just didn't gel and the only thing they really had in common was the fact they both enjoyed climbing. Then after 16 years apart, they immediately fall back into a relationship without knowing anything about the other person and what they've been up since they last saw each other.
It's a shame, because the chemistry between Frankie and Benjamin in the last book was so good.
Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
Second chance, previous playboy, found family, & kind of a sport romance?? Such a unique concept that was well explained and approachable for someone who’s never once climbed but loves hiking/the outdoors.
Tabitha & Zac come together by chance after 16 years for a second time and just like the first time, sparks fly. But 16 years apart??? Can we talk about that?! Like, that’s a whole lifetime. Idk if I could do it, especially after only a few weeks of a whirlwind romance.
But with chemistry as off the charts as theirs, it’s no surprise that they end up struggling to stay away from each other, despite it being way smarter for both of their careers to stay apart.
I always have a soft spot for an MMC trying to change his ways and show the people around him that he’s grown, so Zac tugged on my heart strings from the very beginning. He gets there eventually:
“I wasn’t trying to protect your future.” His pensive sigh expanded his broad chest, his breath released in stutters. As though he was about to break. “I was trying to protect my heart.”
The emotional growth 😭👏
A few things I loved: * The setting 🌲🧗♀️ * Women doing cool stuff outdoors * Lark 📸 * Letting toxic family members go and setting boundaries * Tabby cat 🐈⬛
I felt like the family issues they both had could’ve been expanded on a bit more. You get the gist of it, but it’s all a bit vague. I love me some found family so even more of it would’ve been the cherry on top 🍒
The only reason this wasn’t a 4 star + for me was that some strings felt like they could’ve been tied up a little bit better but nothing detrimental to the plot. Some pacing stuff and a few little pet peeves (overuse of some words: ie husky, raspy) but still a great read.
The characters from the previous books that were mentioned have me wanting to go back and read their stories too! Definitely not leaving the Leavenworth world just yet and I can’t wait to see how it all ties together.
The Basics: Adventure Guide🏕️//Journalist/Climber 🧗♀️ 3rd Person Dual POV Third book in the “Stranded in Leavenworth” series, but can be read as a standalone 🌶️🌶️.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/5

I really loved this one! I’m always down for an adventure and this book brought the heat. I loved that it was based in the PNW and in a cozy town with all the found family vibes. I didn’t know much about climbing going in but wow climbing is dare I say just as sexy as a hockey romance! Seriously, this book is the perfect read full of all the summer checklist items. It is book 3 in the Stranded in Leavenworth series but can definitely be read as a standalone.
𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬:
Tabitha is a retired professional climber turned sports journalist. However her job is on the chopping block, as she has lost her “spark”. She hasn’t been climbing outside of a bouldering gym in over 3 years and her writing reflects it, the passion that was once there is gone.
So her boss gave her one last chance hopefully pushing her to rekindle her passion. She’s being sent to Leavenworth WA to review an adventure company. That means a week of outdoor climbing excursions, time to dust off her equipment and hope she still can do it.
However the last thing Tabitha expected as an obstacle when she got there was her ex Zac. He broke her heart 16 years ago but with her job riding on this assignment she can’t let her feelings get in the way. Despite what happened in the past they are stuck working together for the next week and when you climb you have to fully trust your partner as your life depends on it. So things will definitely get interesting!
𝙁𝙖𝙫 𝙌𝙪𝙤𝙩𝙚:
“Don’t worry, tabby cat. I won’t be letting you go.” He grinned, noticing as her pupil dilated. “Climb on.”

I picked this up without reading the previous books in the series and was pleasantly surprised by how easily I was pulled in. It’s a fun and easy read. You don’t need to know anything about climbing to enjoy it, but as someone who loves it, the climbing setting added another level of enjoyment.
We see two former lovers who unexpectedly cross paths again-Tabitha, a former pro climber turned journalist, and Zac, now an outdoor guide. While their chemistry is clear, I struggled a bit with how quickly Tabitha was tempted to forgive and fall back into something with Zac, especially after the way things ended between them. Her heartbreak was deep, and it was so hard to believe she started letting him back in immediately.
We do not see Zac’s transformation from playboy and it felt a bit flat - we’re told he’s changed but don’t fully see the process because it apparently happened before the beginning of the book. That made it harder to connect with his character, especially when learning about his past.
I loved Tabitha as a dedicated hard-working climber woman but didn't actually like Zac too much. But yes, he is trying. I felt that in this book the fact that author "had to" use an existing character from the universe and do their redemption felt more forced compared to if she was free to create a new one.
Still, the second-chance romance, engaging setting, and Tabitha’s personal growth made the book fun. Light, heartfelt, and outdoorsy-with just enough tension (and some spice) to keep you turning the pages.
Love on a Ledge by K.L. Parsons, is the third book in the Stranded in Leavenworth series but the first book in the series that I’ve read. The book is centered on Tabitha Hancock, a former pro climber turned journalist. The current place she writes for isn’t doing so hot, unfortunately, and she’s at risk for losing her position. She’s given one last opportunity to get motivated and provide a stellar piece that will lock in her position. Due to this, she finds herself in Leavenworth, back in nature once more and reconnecting with an old flame, Zac or Zachariah (don’t call him that, hahaha). This book was so cute but also well written.
Tabby cat and Zac get a second chance romance with a hint of a slow burn, along with both of them growing as individuals. I believe this was my first introduction into climbing as a sport and I honestly loved it, made me a bit nervous and with Tabitha’s back story, I wasn’t completely sold until the ending. I love that she fell back in love with climbing as girl is athletically inclined and we get to see Zac grow-up from his playboy ways, gaining more responsibilities and showing that he’s in it for the long haul.
The backdrop of this novel being the Pacific Northwest area was awesome and the author did a great job describing climbing. I honestly don’t think Tabitha forgave Zac to quickly, I saw it as they had this great love once and never really lost it, they just were able to come back into each others lives and hearts again…quickly, hahaha. Ugh, I’m ready to go back into this series and read the first two. Mainly because we were introduced to characters from the first and second in the series, but this could easily be read as a standalone novel, as what I did.
I’ve really enjoyed all the books in this series: they have a great balance of character-driven tension and a beautifully descriptive backdrop. The same is true for this instalment, and the spark between Zac and Tabitha is heightened by the fact they have a history. And unfinished business, even if they’re determined to ignore that for the sake of their careers. Both main characters grew on me through the course of the story. Zac in particular has some ground to make up after his actions in the previous book, and both his deliberate decision to try and be more responsible and the reactions of everyone around him are handled realistically. Tabitha initially comes across as closed-off and anxious, but her reasons for that are gradually revealed and she blossoms as she rediscovers her passion for climbing and her chemistry with Zac. Around the central relationship are characters both established and new (Lark in particular is a joy), and the climbing detail is just right: enough description to impart knowledge without going over the top. The only addition I would have liked is a little more exploration of family background, Zac’s especially, because both he and Tabitha are clearly very much moulded by parental behaviour but it’s only lightly alluded to. That doesn’t, however, detract from what is an excellent second-chance romance. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance review copy. All opinions are my own.
Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review the ARC of “Love on a Ledge” by K.L Parsons
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars
Tabitha, a former pro climber turned journalist, has been given an ultimatum…write an amazing spread for the magazine or get fired. Tabitha’s assignment is to go on some guided tours…however…her guide just happens to be her ex, Zac. Through flashbacks, the story is told and slowly you find out the history and how this interconnects to the present.
This was the first book that I read in this series, so it took me a minute to get my head around previous characters but that was fairly easy. The thing I found hardest with this book was the fact I have no climbing experience so found some of the story a bit too technical, leaving me confused and getting out of the storyline.
There is a lot of character growth from Tabitha and Zac. Something I loved was that their growth happened together, but also as individuals…it wasn’t contingent on the other person or being together. I enjoyed all the characters but found I enjoyed the side characters more than the main couple. Lark was the light and humour that made this book so much more enjoyable. Most of the sections I highlighted are her quotes 🤣
This was a great story that kept me interested in wanting to find out more and keep reading. I definitely want to go back and read Jon and Lucy’s romance that we got snippets of.
Love on a Ledge KL Parsons Coming June 3rd! ok, friends, this is the 3rd book in the Stranded in Leavenworth series, and I absolutely read it in a day. Tabitha and Zac met 16 years ago and had... a thing. A thing she thought was more until he was just gone. Now, 16 years later, she is fighting to keep her job at a magazine. Sent to Leavenworth, Washington, to write an article about an adventure guide company (If you have read the other 2 books, you know the place). Grabbing dinner with her hilarious photographer, Lark, she is pushed to the past when she runs into none other than the man that ghosted her. I absolutely loved Tabitha. She is strong. Smart. and is positive she can stay professional. Zac is a bit of a man whõrę but trying to prove his worth, so staying professional even with "Tabby Cat" around is super important. I absolutely love his growth. Especially from the last book and the disaster with Frankie! I think Zac's growth is some of the most I have seen from a character in a lot of series! This is told in 3rd person, which is not always my favorite, but, KL Parsons does so well with it that it really doesn't bother me at all! I promise, this whole series is worth the read!! 5⭐️ 2🌶
The Stranded in Leavenworth has been so fun to follow! Thank you to K.L. Parsons and NetGalley for the chance to read this in ARC form in exchange for an honest review. Love on a Ledge follows Tabitha, a journalist and former professional climber as she tries to take control of her career and lost passion for climbing. A passionate yet brief relationship from 16 years prior is brought back into focus when she finds herself face to face with Zac when he becomes her guide for a week. Both Tabitha and Zac have changed a lot since there passionate past, but they have to rely on each other to move forward in their respective careers and lives. Zac has become a notorious eff boy while Tabitha has secluded herself. I really enjoyed reading about such a different sport in romance! You can feel the character's passion for the sport in every chapter. My favorite part of this story is Tabitha's personal journey in getting back into a sport that has held the most important moments of her life. If you're looking for a unique sports romance set in a small town with lots of sexual tension, this one's for you!
Thanks to Netgalley and Victory Editing for this ARC that publishes on June 03.
If you’re looking for a fresh story to read while traveling, this is the one.
Love on a Ledge by K. L. Parsons is a second chance romance that introduces us to Tabitha, a retired athlete turned sports journalist for a major magazine and Zac a climbing guide and a (not so bad) reformed bad boy.
Fate brings them back together, and they’re forced to keep up appearances for the sake of their careers and the trust of their loved ones. (What could possibly go wrong?)
Though the book is short, everything unfolds at just the right pace and it never feels rushed. I absolutely loved these characters and the determination they both showed in the face of challenges to reach their goals.
It was so satisfying to see them reconnect, openly address their doubts and most importantly, communicate with a level of maturity that helped explain so much about their past.
I loved how things gradually fell into place for both of them, and how with patience everything eventually worked out.
This is the third book in the Stranded in Leavenworth series but can definitely be read as a standalone. This is a quick and easy read because of how simple the story is, yet it carries so much emotions. Tabitha and Zac's story is sweet and encouraging because they both show so much character growth. Zac is working to turn his image around into someone his friends can trust to be responsible. He definitely shows it! Tabitha has put up many walls to protect herself because of the hurt she carries from the past, so it was really warming to see her open back up not just to Zac, but also to Lark as a friend. I loved that the story switched between the two different timelines and between the two MC's POVs because it gives more insight as to what shapes their story.
Like Parsons' first two books, this one had so much outdoor fun and climbing to it! It was thrilling to live through the characters. We also get a glimpse on how the previous books' MCs are doing, and are happily reunited with the side characters as well.
LISTEN. These books are a freaking DELIGHT. Go out and read them immediately. All 3 are set in Washington, mostly in Leavenworth, which is such a dreamy area. These stories wind in and among each other, and all of the characters feel like my friends now.
I was really hesitant on this one, I have to say. I knew there would be a redemption arc for Zac, because that's the point, but honestly? I wasn't sure I'd buy it. Maybe I'm jaded, maybe in just perimenopausal, maybe I hate love, but I thought that there was no way this playboy would be believable.
I will fully admit to being wrong! Zac makes you fall in love with him. Tabitha is so stinking cautious, and I totally feel that.
The end of this book left a big smile on my face. The only question is... what's Todd's next move?
We have finally made it to the finally of this trilogy that follows different members of the group as the navigate life, love and work. In this particular book we focus on Tabitha who had been a professional climber turned journalist and Zachariah who has been the professional playboy. We take a deeper dive of what has happened over their lives from the first time they met to where we are 15+ years later. The understanding of who we are at 18 verses almost 40 are very different people. I love that K.L. Parsons characters feel lived in, and like real flawed people you would meet on the street. If you even just slightly enjoy the outdoors and love stories where love always finds a way I highly recommend not only this book but the whole series. Thank you Netgalley, Victory Editing and K.L. Parsons for such posing me to be an arc reader for this book.
This adventure romance series has been so fun to read. K. L. Parsons is definitely an author you don’t want to skip. The characters are ALL so lovable. The tension and banter written into this 3rd book of the series was probably the best out of all 3 books.
Tabitha and Zac have an amazing story in my opinion. And Lark! Holy moly! You will love Lark. She had me cackling so much in this book. Definitely need more of her.
2nd chance romance Forced proximity Low to medium spice
I highly recommend the whole series. And the covers are drool worthy so I bought all 3 physical copies! Add this to your TBR!
I liked this one a lot. It took me a few chapters to fully get into it, but once it clicked, I didn’t want to stop reading. The chemistry between Zac and Tabitha wasstrong from the start, even after all that time apart. Tabitha was great. I liked her balance between tough and vulnerable. The setting was another highlight for me. The mountain town vibes, the climbing trips, everything felt real. Only reason I’m giving it 4 and not 5 stars is because the pacing felt a bit slow at times. Still is a strong book with a lot of emotions.Thank you so much to the author for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving a honest review
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
3 or 3.5 stars. I love a second chance romance, and the idea of her overcoming her past and being able to rock climb again was awesome to see.
However, this one barely passed the Bechdel test. I need two women characters to talk about things besides their love interest(s) in order for a book to keep my attention.
I liked the writing style, definitely felt like I got a good sense of the characters, and the settings. But some of the characters actions didn’t feel believable.
The dual POV combined with the flash back chapters made it hard to follow at times. But overall was a quick, easy read.
This was a great book! The visuals and the info about rock climbing was so interesting to learn about and imagine. The back story and the emotional tension was just so addictive. I was just totally rooting for this couple. Lark and Frankie are the best! Everyone needs friends like them. I loved watching the characters each not just over come one obstacle but multiple through out the book. Plus the tense climbing scenes. Although I will be keeping my feet firmly on the ground I very much enjoyed living vicariously through these characters.
If you are looking for a light, fluffy read, Love on a Ledge would fit the bill. It's a cute story but honestly, I don't feel like there's a whole lot of depth to it overall. And the nicknames were way over the top for me. The repetition of "blondie" was bad enough but "tabby cat" was way overdone. I found myself getting so annoyed by the use of tabby cat that it pulled me out of the story. I love Jon and Lucy but Zac and Tabitha just didn't hit the mark for me.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the review copy in exchange for my honest opinions.
While I loved the first two books, this one didn’t do it for me as much. It took me a while to really get into the story. I thought it was going pretty slow. I didn’t connect with either of the main characters. It felt just forced and the reason they broke up the first time was not really “convincing”. I love the author’s style but again, this book took me forever because I kept putting it back down.
Third book in the series. The women in this series are powerhouses. Tabitha is no different, she’s a smoke show but her life has had her prioritising too many other things to realise it.
We’ve met Zac before, he’s work in progress reforming Himbo who has a second opportunity with the woman whose heart he crushed 20 years ago.
Ultimately it was pretty good. I enjoyed it. I really like the whole cast and intermingled history of the characters.
4.5⭐️ When Tabitha is assigned to write a story about an outdoor adventure company, she doesn’t expect her guide to be the guy who walked away from her sixteen years ago. Zac is trying to prove to everyone that he’s not the screw up they think he is so he can’t mess up during his week with Tabitha. This is told in dual POV and dual timeline with fun details about rock climbing.
Loved this book and this series! They were all so good and I just adore all these characters! These adventure romances had great pacing, loved the banter, and were just an overall great time. K.L. Parsons…. I’m gonna buy all your books.
All three of her books are so much fun and the characters are great! She describes Leavenworth, Washington perfectly ands her working is awesome and easy to read. I highly recommend!!!
