Caleb and Victoria's Story. A Standalone Forced proximity, fake marriage, work place, angsty, spicy, surprise pregnancy, dark mafia romance.
Convenient Mafia Vows is the third book in the Ruthless Billionaire Mafia Kings series by Vivy Skys. This is my very first book by this author. It can easily be read as a stand alone. I have not read any previous books in the series.
Victoria Callahan is twenty three years old. This woman is literally carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. She is working at a diner, supporting her brother who is a gambling addict and his five year old daughter whom she has pretty much raised since she was born.
Victoria has just lost her job, due to her brother’s actions but was lucky enough to get a new temporary job working for Caleb Murray, who runs the casino and also is the leader of the Irish mob. Her first day didn’t turn out as she expected, though. She was fired, and then was offered the opportunity to pose as Caleb’s fake wife, in exchange for helping her out financially. It’s the answer to all of her problems. Only, the reason Caleb needs her to pose as his wife is because the daughter of a rival mob boss has her sights set on Caleb as HER husband, to set up an alliance. And she will do anything at all to get what she wants. No matter who gets hurt, or even worse!
I really liked this and read it pretty quickly. I needed to see what happens next and couldn’t put it down. It was steamy, suspenseful and sweet. I loved Victoria. She was so young but also so strong. I don’t think she’d ever really been allowed to be a child when she was young. Her first priority is always to take care of the people she loves, even if that means signing up to be a fake mob boss’s wife. I am now drawn into this family and am going to have to read the next book, Possessive Mafia Vows, which is Victoria’s best friend, Sienna, and Caleb’s brother, Kyle’s story. I’m thinking (hoping) that we’ll get to see a little more of Caleb and Victoria as well.
This book had so much promise for me, but with a heroine that exhibits TSTL vibes at times and the unrealistic mobster, the devotion and sweetness just couldn't make up for it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Good Story, But Needed More Development Convenient Mafia Vows (Ruthless Billionaire Mafia Kings #3) by Vivy Skys was my first read from this author. The story itself was strong, but the execution didn’t quite hit the mark for me. At times, it felt like the plot jumped too quickly, missing opportunities to go deeper and build on key moments.
That said, it was still an enjoyable read overall. I don’t usually start a series out of order, but I did this time—and since the next book links to this one, I’ll continue on. I’m just not sure yet if I’ll commit to the rest of the series.
Their first meeting was at a party dressed as Danny and Sandy from Grease. It ended after a night of passion that neither one of them would ever forget and they never thought that they would see each other again. Who knew it would tie their futures together in more ways than one? Five years later, Victoria loses her job after trying to help her brother in a fight. She's literally caught in mid air by none other than billionaire playboy Caleb Murray. She sulks back to her apartment where her BFF babysits her brothers daughter while she works. She knows her brother isn't capable of raising the child on his own. She keeps his little girl as well as lets him stay with her, she doesn't have the heart to put him out. She contacts her mother's friend who works at the most posh place in town to ask for a position under her. She's not even at work for a half day before she's let go. Caleb has problems. His brother's club keeps getting raided and his ex, Olivia, keeps showing up. She's a "cling-on", that refuses to take no for an answer. He's wanted no one else since "Sandy". He looked for her but never found her because they didn't even know each others real name. For now he has to think of a way to keep his ex's father, Don Dragonetti, from proposing a merger of families through marriage to his daughter. He has a plan. The new concierge that his assistant was going to fire will be his fake wife. When Victoria finds out, what choice does she have but to play along? She and her niece need the money. Why do they both reminded each other of one fantasy night five years ago with someone else? Can they keep it strictly business? With the fire that burns between these two, definitely not! She has no idea the kind of life she was agreeing to. Can she trust Caleb to keep her and her loved ones safe from a madwoman that vows to let nothing stand in the way of what she wants?Manipulation, violence, page scorching passion, kidnapping, unresolved past, lost love, self seeking and unknown alliances make this one page turning keeper.

I keep giving this author and series a try but I'm left disappointed every time. First of all, the synopsis is misleading. It makes it seem like Victoria knew she was pregnant when she was taken by Caleb's ex. I was expecting some major drama with Caleb fining out and absolutely beside himself trying to rescue his wife and unborn child. But neither Caleb nor Victoria knew she was pregnant until after that whole fiasco after she's checked out at the hospital. A huge part of this story is how Caleb was Danny and Victoria was Sandy. Neither of them know that they are the same strangers from 5 years ago. They both spent 5 years pining for the other person. When the revelation finally comes, Sienna makes the announcement, and then we move on to the next chapter. We never get to see Caleb and Victoria's reaction to finding out who the other person was in their past. What a waste of a story line.
It’s a great story but there are a lot of typos. It’s hard to get into a book when there are a lot of typos. The verbiage gets repeated a lot too. Some of the sentences are almost copy and pasted into other parts of the book.
Convenient Mafia Vows is a fantastic dark mafia romance which had me on the edge of my seat. This phenomenal dark mafia romance is fabulously written, exceptionally balanced with action/romance and beautifully executed by Vivy Skys. Vivy Skys continues to prove what a phenomenal author, storyteller and writer she is with each book that I have read by her so far. I can hardly wait to see what she will come up with for her next book. I thought this book to be quite suspenseful and is definitely a page-turning dark mafia romance. I couldn’t stop reading this book nor put it down until I read the last page. This novel was captivating to me, which as a reader I’m always looking for a book that will hold my attention to the point where I want to read the whole book in one day and Convenient Mafia Vows happens to be one of those books. The characters are phenomenally developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. The main characters of Convenient Mafia are Caleb and Victoria. I absolutely adored getting to know both of these characters as well as witnessing their journey throughout the book. I love that these two phenomenal characters got to have a happily ever after with them being happy together as a couple. Convenient Mafia Vows is a mafia romance which I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone to checkout and give it a read.

You’re the One That I Want - The connection between Caleb and Victoria was instant the first time they met, but an unfortunate incident changed the trajectory of their lives. However, fate brought Caleb and Victoria back into each other’s lives years later under different circumstances. Even though Caleb and Victoria’s relationship was because of a complicated situation, which meant they were forced into a fake marriage, spending time together in close proximity heightened the attraction between them and led to them enjoying ongoing steamy encounters, without considering the consequences of their actions.
Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with their union and this led to them having to deal with a rollercoaster of emotions and action-filled encounters. Luckily, Caleb and Victoria were able to remove all the obstacles in their path to happiness, so the6 could get the happily eve4 after they had been dreaming about for years, especially after discovering the life changing news. After reading the first two books in the series, I didn’t think Vivy Skys could exceed my expectations, but I can say without a shadow of doubt, that she ha# certainly done so with this totally captivating book. You will definitely enjoy reading this book as much as I did.

NO PREGNANCY The description/blurb is a total LIE - she was never pregnant. The 4 yo is her niece so not sure why they said that.
ONE NIGHT STAND Its not Halloween but for some reason both of them are dressed up in costumes which seemed a little bizarre for NYC NYE. And then she gives up her virginity and he doesn't even notice which was weird but then when he sees the blood on the bed the next day, he assumes it's b/c she was a virgin and not some woman on her period.
PLOT HOLE Alright - no freakin way would they not figure out who's who for 5 years. c'mon!!! THat like made me want to throw the book across the room. First of all, she had sex at his apartment, she could've just gone back. Instead they leave some stupid mention of "she tried so hard" and that's it. And then her friend is in a car accident and the guys can't figure out who she is. hello - police traffic reports. And there's no way the car didn't ahve a VIN number, registration, etc for them to trace back to the driver. This was just weird.
OWD It was a little strange that he was afraid of an old ex. Like she was old and they dated 10 years ago. No mafia princess would still be single for 20 years.
However - the arranged marriage and flirting wasn't bad despite all my complaints. It was an okay romance novel but it wasn't really mafia-ish.
So this book felt very rushed. Also why the main female character was telling everyone and everything that the marriage was fake?!?! GIRL?? WHAT R U DOING?? And why was the mom making the plan wayyyyy more complicated than it needed to be (she was lowkey annoying af). Honestly, Victoria and Caleb should’ve just gone super public and lots of pda to make Olivia go off the rails to show the Don how crazy she was. That would’ve been easier and more fun to read lol.
How is the author gonna have Caleb bring up Sandy in his mind all the time and then NOT LET US SEE HIS REACTION TO VIC BEING SANDY????
All in all, the book was confusing, weirdly paced, and seemed so unnecessary. We spent so long planning the reception plan only for it to not happen? Also, as soon as Abigail met Caleb’s mom, she kinda just left the story. We barely saw her anymore and it was explained by her being at the mom’s house. There were a lot of unnecessary characters/plot lines(like Denise, Lauren, her getting pregnant again, Vic having a miscarriage in the first place, Vic’s mom/stepdad, Emily, Brailand(honestly forgot about him), Abigail’s school issues). I would be fine with most of these, but all together, there was wayyyyy too much info shoved into this book.

Caleb Murray our handsome, muscular, Harley riding, Irish Mafia Boss saves Victoria’s brother and also offers Victoria a job. Which she desperately needed. We are taken into the lives of Caleb and Victoria. They meet when Caleb saves her brother, she could not be happier with his help and she is completely surprised when he finally offers her a job, but before she gets completely enthusiastic he tells her that there are conditions attached. Caleb is looking for a fake woman because of a rival mafia family and also his ex to make sure they leave him alone. Just when they both get feelings for each other and the fake turns into real, she is kidnapped and that is exactly what they should not have done. Caleb turns into a beast and does everything he can to get her back and make the perpetrators pay because no one touches what is his with impunity and certainly not Victoria. A great story with tension, drama, action, danger, romance and many steamy moments.

Caleb and Victoria. Victoria is getting let go from another job because of her brother Mason. She loves him very much but he sure makes life very challenging. And there is another person to think about, Abigail. What is she going to do? Then she remembers someone who might help. So she goes to talk to this person and due to circumstances she is let go before the day is done. But then all of a sudden she is propositioned with a different deal which seems ridiculous. Prior to this she went to a Halloween party with her friend and ended up with a man posing as Danny and she is posing as Sandy. They have a fabulous night but after that nothing. No real names were given and no way of contacting each other. That was 5 years ago. If she agrees to this deal some of her worries may be taken care of but at what risk? Should she do it or not? Two strangers with different goals. Wonder if this will work? Let’s see what happens next shall we!
I really enjoyed the way this book kicked off. Sandy and Danny had an explosive start to the new year. Abigail had me so confused until an explanation was finally given.
There were a couple of parts I was like ‘surely that cat’s about to come out of the bag now’ or ‘seriously, all these connections in the city and you had zero leads? I’m not buying it.’
I enjoyed Victoria and Caleb having their moments together as a ‘couple’. I understand the order of their story but I was hoping some secrets would be revealed earlier.
Vivy Skys really captured my attention:
“Too many things can go wrong every minute of every day. It’s the world we live in. It never stopped you before.”
I received a copy of this book from Vivy Skys. I am voluntarily leaving this review. All opinions are my own.
Victoria Callahan : 23 yrs searching for the right one, her Prince Charming. Still holding on her ‘V’ card
Caleb : Mafia leader, caught within the toxic world of family loyalties but at what cost?
What a refreshing read. Caleb years ago attended a New Years Eve party, a night of being normal with his elder brother. A retention of ‘Grease’ in his outfit, he meets his ‘Sandy’. Sandy of 1 night.
Years later, it all changes. Mafia expectations of uniting families. Spoiled princesses, jealousy, snitch, revenge.
Yes, it was all here, but also a lost dream but a new unexpected future.
Would I have rated as “Dark Mafia”? Personally no. This was vibrant and a joy to read.
Purely because this book held so much promise, there was so many story lines that could have been developed and made into something more, but simply wasn’t. I spent the entire book thinking Caleb / Victoria was finally going to find something out and they’d be a big story untelling, a fight, mafia boss come to light.. but it was just told simply and then skipped to the next chapter. I just feel like the story jumped so much in certain parts and missed the chance of making something more of it. It was overall a good book to read, and I’ll add Siennas story to my TBR, but after reading this I don’t feel like I can jump straight into the reading the next one just yet.
This story starts with Veronica and Caleb at a costume party for New Years Eve but they meet as Danny and Sandy. They have an explosive time together but when Caleb falls asleep Veronica slips away. Fast forward 5 years and Veronica gets fired after her brother steals from her boss so she goes to a family friend to ask a favor. She needs a job. Because she is supporting a house for herself, her brother and her 5 year old niece. And that leads her back to Caleb. But they don't know that they met before. Caleb needs help so he asks Veronica to help. And the story gets steamy, crazy, dangerous and incredible.

OMG this was a great book. It was a steamy page tuner and the suspense was intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Victoria needs to kept her job but she will have to do something that she will regret doing. She was desperate so she mad a deal with Caleb. Victoria and Caleb the chemistry between them was sexual tension and the physical attraction was captivating of drama and forbidden romance. A hey couldn’t fight the temptation any longer in this moment. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
A great mafia story that kept my interest. Romance is hot and steamy, and characters are great Caleb Murray, is a Harley-riding leader of the Irish mob. He offers Victoria a job. Then Caleb wants Victoria to sign a marriage contract and pretend to be his wife.
It’s strictly business until, the night Caleb carries Victoria home with a bullet wound in her arm, and cares for her. She Is powerless to resist his green eyes, and broad tattooed chest. The rival organization has taken the fake wife and she is carrying Caleb’s baby. danger, and a love worth the ultimate risk. I enjoyed the book and recommend it to anyone who loves romance and HOT Mafia men.
I DNF’d this book not long after starting it. The female protagonist starts off complaining about not having sex in a while and not getting the chance to fantasize about Zac “Eron” and Orlando Bloom. Just a few lines later, she literally bumps into a guy who immediately hits her with, 'Where have you been all my life?' They have sex almost instantly, he falls asleep, and she bolts. The whole thing is cringe and Wattpad-style scenes.
“when a guy finds out that you’re twenty-three and still haven’t a clue what all the fuss is about they think you’re either a lesbian in denial or there must be something inherently wrong with you” This must be the “best” thing in the book.
Victoria wanted another guy, but he was unavailable. Caleb for an alliance was supposed to marry someone else that he didn’t wanna marry.. he sees Victoria and decides to ask her if she will do a fake marriage with her with him. Abigail is Victoria’s niece and she has to come with her..His mom and sister love spending time with Abigail. Later in the story, you can see the chemistry between the two people.. There A war between him and the girl he doesn’t want to marry. Check out what happened between him and the girl and him and Victoria.
Victoria just wanted to find a way to keep her head above water and take care of her niece. When she loses yet another job because of her brother she had no choice but to go to her family friend for help. When she leaves a note to say Thank you for Caleb his assistant takes it the wrong way. So when V is begging to keep her job Caleb comes up with a plan to fix things for both of them. Together they have a lot to get thru but I think together they can do just about anything.

Vivy Skys had put an interesting spin this mafia, fake romance love story. Caleb (Danny) and Victoria (Sandy, from Grease) have a connection that they didn’t initially remember. Five years ago they had a one night stand they both thought was unforgettable. Now Caleb is in a very difficult situation, as the head of a mafia family, that has some very serious problems that he needs to deal with. The storylines are seamlessly interwoven throughout the book and make this a captivating read.
A New Years moment between "Sandy" and "Danny" five years ago reunites Caleb and Victoria in a fake marriage. The truth of that night was much more than either of them expected and although part of it was not directly related, it played an important part to this story. Hopefully this will be explored in a later installment of this series. However, this particular plot was exciting and suspenseful as various twists had me invested in the outcome. I really enjoyed this book.

This is Book 3 in the Ruthless Billionaire Mafia Kings Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is a dark mafia romance between Victoria and Caleb. These two flawed souls and the unique plot make for a captivating read. What starts out as a one night stand evolves into a fake relationship that turns into something more. It is a love story filled with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, danger and suspense, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. Seriously entertaining.

The MCs meet at a costume party and have an awesome one-nighter. Five years later they reconnect not knowing that they have already met once before. Their love story was great. Lots of steamy scenes. I was a bit confused as to who Abigail belonged to but it all becomes clear soon enough. The ending was wonderful. I liked the way they handled the threat to their family. I highly recommend this book to all dark mafia romance readers.

Interesting story and characters, just very simplistic writing and plot. The best character is cute and smart 5-year-old Abigail. How can they think of sending her off to a boarding school?! I don't like all the constant crass language. Caleb can't have one thought without thinking how he'd like to fuck her, almost every paragraph. Even at 70% into the story, Vicky still doesn't exactly know who and what he is. I looked at this author's other Mafia stories; they all have the same plot and themes.
I really wanted to like this book, but I finished with an OK vibe. The plot outline is good. It's execution just had holes and I did not get attached to the characters. I also found it hard to believe you are sleeping with someone you have slept with before and you cant figure it out. It took her best friend in the end to point it out. I liked the inclusion of Abigial, and the odd relationship with the father like mafia boss Dragonnetti. I will probably not read additional books in the series.
