If You Will Have Me is a heartwarming and inspiring novella perfect for readers who love clean and faith-filled romances

Can two hearts burdened by the past find healing and connection—if only they’re willing to take a leap of faith?
TW⚠️: death of sibling, grief, child abuse — In this short novella we are following Faith a lawyer who has a difficult relationship with Christ and carries church hurt as a result of her father's own actions as a pastor of a church. Faith is set up for a blind date so her boss (aka her mom) can approve her PTO for her girls trip with her close friends. But Faith finds herself sitting across a man who is also a pastor and their time together leads Faith to learn more about God and herself. — This was a quick and easy read with only 104 pages so yay for that! I believe this is the authors debut book and so i gave an extra star because of this knowledge. I did rate it low because of things like grammar and errors in writing and writing style but again I know this is the authors first debut story.
The amount of times i read “my love” was getting to me LOLLL & Faith was very annoying with how easily triggered she got considering she was a lawyer. But it was an okay read! I do hope the author continues to put effort for progress and growth! 🤞🏻
I’ve had a break from Christian fiction for a while—not for any particular reason, just that I haven’t gravitated toward it in the past few years. But when I picked up If You Will Have Me, from the very first page, I was hooked. My mind was racing with a million questions: “What’s going to happen next?” For the avid Christians, the skeptics, and the lovers of love—this is more than just a novella. It’s quality storytelling. The author does a detailed and excellent job of capturing a kind of real-life love story that also invites readers to see how the love of God moves and unfolds through the characters’ journeys. It’s not just a light and romantic (agape) story—it’s healing. There’s something powerful about witnessing what lives fully yielded to God can look like. I truly believe it’s hard to read this book and not walk away in awe of God’s goodness. (Well… I could be wrong—but hopefully not.)
Sweet, gentle, and soft is how I’d describe the novella and the love between the FMC and MMC. The speed was CRAZY, but only because I love slow-burn romance. But really tho I loved how, in some ways, it felt like she wasn’t just falling in love with the MMC, she was coming to know that Jesus loves her. Honestly, the MMC was just a supporting character 😂 The ending touched my heart deeply, “……and everything felt right.” The love was always there (God's and her dad’s), she held back from receiving it because she was hurt. And yes, her hurt was valid, but she was still holding back on love when deep down, she really needed it.
“If you will have me” is that book you’ve been looking for as a lovey-dovey Christian girlie. I’ve always wanted to read a Christian romance drama that is real about the actual life of a Christian as opposed to a casual church-goer. I enjoyed every bit of this novella and it just left me yearning for more from Mojire Allen-Ajayi.
If you will have me was surprisingly refreshing! I'm so glad to have found the perfect book to rekindle my love for romance and fiction! It was perfectly clean and the love story a girl needs at 11pm every night.
Can't wait for more cozy-blankets-meet-Mojire's-even-warmer-writing.
This was such a light fluffy read for me which really dived into faith and romance. I also really loved that the man was leading the charge on ensuring they didn't do anything outside of their values, which is great to see!
This was an amazing book! Mojire's words were explanatory, guiding me through the story and painting vivid pictures in my mind.
I particularly enjoyed how she wove in themes of faith and the struggles that Christians often face. It was refreshing to see such realities portrayed authentically.
The book doesn’t shy away from tough questions and dilemmas, making it incredibly relatable. I 100% recommend it!
