UNSTOPPABLE (Kate Preacher Thriller Series Book #2) by Michael Maloof is another edge-of-your-seat, fast-paced international thriller in this exciting series with a female protagonist that is “unstoppable”. This is a series that needs to be read in order with the continuation of many characters and an overall plot arc, but it is worth every heart-stopping moment, and you will not be disappointed with either book.
Kate Preacher knows she must return to Paris to continue searching for answers surrounding the terrorist attack that shattered her world. What she discovers is an international conspiracy that is far larger than she imagined. As she barely escapes assassination attempts on her life in Paris, the lies, intrigue, and deadly games lead her on her quest for justice to an emerging democracy in Central Africa.
This second book, just like the first, kept me up reading late once again, because it pulls you in with not only extreme action, but emotional attachment to all the characters, and you cannot put it down. Kate is a protagonist who is extremely capable in high-stakes situations with not only highly trained physical skills, but the sharp mind of a brilliant analyst and chess master. The Trident Security team, which Kate now heads, adds to the intensity and intricacy of action situations possible in the plot. The antagonists in this book and series are fully developed and have so many twisted motives and secret agendas that I was continually surprised at every turn which is why I could not stop reading and put the book down. I cannot wait to start the next book!

This thrilling and intricate follow-up to the series debut will keep readers glued to their seats and begging for more!
Unstoppable is the second book in author Michael Maloof's exceptional Kate Preacher Thriller series, building on the intrigue and, perhaps, even surpassing the intensity of the series debut. Kate Preacher, although still reeling from her husband's murder during an armed attack on a Parisian café, is determined to get to the truth, expose those responsible, and extract her own vengeance. Kate's husband warned his killer that she would be unstoppable, but so are the thrills readers will experience from this story.
Only days have elapsed since Jake Church was gunned down by a long-range sniper's bullet, but that is enough time for his widow, former CIA analyst Kate Preacher, to gather her resources and head back to Paris to prove her theory that the brutal café attack which took Jake's life and made him a national hero was no terroristic act but a calculated assassination when he got too close to the perpetrators involved in a high-level and powerful international crime coalition. Even after having read the previous novel, I was still thrilled by her tactical skills, knowledge, and the digital forensics used in the story. Key characters from book one return to lend their considerable expertise while surprising new allies and hidden antagonists enter the picture. The loyalty and determination of Jake's former team members are on full display and, at times, evoke gut-wrenching admiration.The plot is fast-paced as the story hits the ground running, and the action and intrigue are unrelenting and non-stop. Dangerous secrets, hints of unknown agendas, and shocking plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat as Kate got ever closer to her goal, and those working against her tried to stop her or, at a minimum, manage her discoveries and limit the consequences. When loyalty, friendship, and her concern for another character's safety take Kate from Paris to an emerging African country, the stakes rise when evil intentions become clear and broaden to affect even more innocents, and storylines cleverly converge.
While this is the second Kate Preacher novel, the author subtly weaves in enough backstory for readers new to the series to read this book as a standalone. After Relentless, book one in the Kate Preacher series, I could not wait to read the next book, Unstoppable, while at the same time worrying that I would not enjoy it as much. I mean Relentless is an edge of your seat, ripped from the headlines adventure story with Kate Preacher, the person I want to have my back, as a main character and I worried that I would not be as invested in book two. I should not have worried, Unstoppable is every bit as enjoyable as Relentless and maybe had me more invested. Women are at the helm of this series and are strong, brave, and unstoppable. This time Kate is again joined by Tayla, part of Trident Security, and a new friend Isabella Marquez, a global star. Each brings different skills and baggage and when they are together they take the men by surprise and are unstoppable.
The story picks up where the Relentless ended and the action definitely had me on the edge of my seat. From the United States, to Paris, and on to Africa Kate pursues the clues that Jake left her. I really like that even with everything going on Kate and Isabella found time to experience the joy of friendship and the beauty of a safari. The connections that continue to be revealed to power players and horrors around the world had my heart racing and it seemed all to real. The technology pieces are just mind boggling with the capabilities that are possible. As the pieces begin to fall into place I am excited to read the next book.
I highly recommend this thriller full of action and adventures that will keep you reading long after bedtime.

For the love of Pete this series just keeps getting better. This one picks up right where Relentless left off and the prologue drops us four days before the funeral of Kate Preacher’s husband Jake Church, retired Navy SEAL. Kate is way more than a CIA analyst. She is a grieving wife with a fire in her belly and a need for answers that pushes her straight into danger. I loved how Jake’s training and moments from their marriage show up like quiet guidance throughout the story, keeping her grounded even when everything around her is spiraling. The deeper Kate digs into what Jake was investigating the more tangled the conspiracy becomes, and suddenly every ally feels questionable and every move comes with consequences.
This is a full throttle cat and mouse chase that leaves bodies in its wake and never pauses to catch its breath. From the US to Paris to Central Africa the scope is cinematic and I will happily scream from the rooftops for this to become a movie or series. Political conspiracy assassination plots and international espionage collide as Kate follows the trail Jake left behind, only to realize she is being hunted too. Each clue launches her into the next explosive moment and the tension keeps climbing. Kate Preacher is impossible not to root for and this book cements her in top tier thriller territory. This is another action packed novel as Kate continues her quest to identify Jame's killer. As this novel progresses, we realize the evil is deep. Those leading it are powerful. But Kate is unstoppable, from Paris to the heart of Africa. I was surprised that a trip to Africa with her new friend Bella turned out to be her greatest challenge yet. The body count is high. The action is over the top right up until the last page. While Kate manages to survive the danger in Africa and eliminate one pocket of evil, it is apparent there is still much more for Kate to do. There are still people who lead a powerful organization that need to be stopped. Kate will have to be on her toes as the deception is serious. The deadly chess game is not over.
This is the second novel in this series. It can be read on its own but many of the characters and their actions have roots in the first novel. Reading it before this one will make this novel even more exciting. There are many characters to keep straight in this story and some of them go by several names. Unstoppable by Michael Maloof is book 2 in the Kate Preacher series thriller books. This book takes place after book 1's events with the aftermath of terrorist attack that changed Kate's life for the worse. Kate has tracked down some answers to the tragedy but not all answers are good and not all the answers are what she wants to hear. Kate is closing in on her target in this book and she heads into Africa in this installment of book 2. I really continue to like the character of Kate, she is unstoppable and not someone that gives up once she has a goal in mind. The plot of this book is still engaging as Kate heads to two different places in the world to find her answers. She is intelligent and shows it to the other characters in the book. I love the writing in these thrilling novels, Kate is a very likeable and relatable to the readers as what happened to her in book 1 would absolutely send me to a snowballing adventure to find the target, just like Kate! I am looking forward to another book in the series soon;)

Unstoppable by Michael Maloof is the second installment to a fantastic new thriller series. Kate Preacher is working hard to catch the bad guys. Just as she's getting closer she's also getting into a whole lot of trouble and deadly situations herself. The entire book has the action-packed, heart-pounding, fast-paced scenarios just like that of Jason Bourne and 007. If only this series would be made into a movie...maybe, just one day they will be. It would very cool to see Kate Preacher in action. As a character she is well-developed and sympathy for her is easy. She's smart, easy-to-like, and a great agent working to put bad guys out of business. I look forward to reading more books featuring Kate Preacher in the future.

The book starts out where book one left off, well rewind about four days before the end of book 1. That was a creative way to bring you up to speed if you just picked up book 2, which I suggest you start at the beginning.
Another international adventure from US to France to Africa and back and forth between them all. Kate is on a mission of justice and finds herself pulled into a bigger, more impossible mission with her friend Bella.
They end up in a human trafficking, child trafficking to be more specific, black market mined goods with several baddies coming in from multiple angles and agendas. Kate proves she is tough mentally and physically once again.
Intense action packed race against time continues like the first book. All within 3 weeks of Book 1. So this is very much an extension that will also flow into Book 3.
The villains are intelligent, dark and it is very much a chess match that is always in the background. Who will say checkmate first? “For one of us to live, the other had to die”.
Kate is one tough analyst with skills beyond the analytical with powerful friends, but who is actually trustworthy in the end?

I'll be honest.
I picked this up and put it down quite a few times. I just couldn't get into it.
But.
I liked the first one, and I bought it, so decided to try again.
YES, a slow start.
I really like that he empowers the women here. Like, it's not just Kate. It's Isabella and Talya and Keisha and even Margot.
The descriptions of the locations, meals, evening gowns are just as rich as the tactical gear and subversive planning. I SEE you, Maloof, targeting men and women in your writing.
Could have been shorter, my two cents.
Like the new mystical element.
Love there's no romantic love - bestie and brotherly love works.
Please work on commas and when to use them.
Of course I have pre-ordered the third book in the series, but not as excited due to it being 600 pages. I hope it ropes me in more quickly than this one did.

Unstoppable features our heroine Kate Preacher as she continues the hunt for the people who shattered her entire world into pieces. We return to Paris for more hunting and high stakes suspense. Kate is stronger than ever and relentlessly brutal and smart. I held my breath throughout the fast paced environment and I felt like I was walking high on a tight rope. The plot is cleverly layered with twists, betrayals, secrets and action that leaves your hands shaking. I was rooting for Kate all the way and sometimes I even screamed out loud for her to watch her back as she was being hunted down.

Very good follow up to his debut novel Relentless. Michael Maloof is a new voice to the thriller genre and writes crisp, descriptive, action-packed stories. His heroine, Kate Preacher is a great character and his Settings in Africa are very well written. Pick up this series today, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing, stunning, wild ride!
So enjoyed the trip to Africa! The story kept up an incredible pace. It also spoke to some dire issues facing us these days. Exploiting others for personal gain is more rampant than ever. Great read!

This second book in the series had me hooked from the first to last chapter, can't wait for the next instalment, a must read for anyone who loves a strong action heroine!

In this second outstanding book, Kate goes back to Paris to try and solve a deadly and dangerous mystery. Brilliant as always that will keep you reading to find out what will happen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tons of action and a few twists. Now I need to read 'Relentless', then reread 'Unstoppable'.

Kate Preacher is amongst friends with Mitch Rapp, Scot Harvath and James Reece. She is at the stop of her game in Unstoppable – I did not want the book to end and I cannot wait for her next adventure.
