Bloodlust and Fated Hearts

Rate this book
She’s his fated mate, and he’s about to break every rule to claim her.

London Andrews thought her biggest challenge was surviving her chaotic siblings. Until Ryker Remington walks into her life. Dark, dangerous, and impossibly compelling, he’s a vampire with secrets—and an undeniable pull that tempts her beyond reason.

But in a world where love is a deadly game, their bond comes with consequences. As their chemistry ignites, London is forced to confront a world she never knew existed, full of magic, blood, and betrayal. Ryker's past threatens them both, and as the line between passion and danger blurs, she’ll have to decide if she can trust him—or run before it’s too late.

For Ryker, loving her might just be his last act of defiance.

Bloodlust and Fated Hearts is a steamy, heart-pounding journey into a world where love isn’t just forbidden—it’s a threat that could destroy them all.

London is the eldest of the family and has an overabundance of responsibility and sense. Her twin siblings not so much. They were always into trouble. Now they've called her in the middle of the night to tell her they hit a man and he was still coming???!! What were they into? Drunk? Drugged up? She has an important interview in the morning with Eternal Night Holdings that would allow her to work in her field and earn enough to continue college. Now here she is heading to a police station to try to bail her siblings out of jail and find out what they did.
Ryker is driving at night because it was easier to function. Then his car gets swiped by a rickshaw of all things. He used his speed to get ahold of the driver of the rickshaw. Then he hands him over to the cops. His frenemy makes an appearance and lets him know the hunters, the San Lavi, vampire and human, are on the uptake. He heads to the police station and is thinking of how his being higher-ranking Osiri he needs to find a virgin human woman to continue the line. His dad is even getting into it now too. UGH! He walks into the station and smells her. He listens to her and is astonished that those two are her siblings. Then he hears her mutter about her interview. He didn't know they were hiring? He walks over and tells her he won't press charges if she'll have breakfast with him. The urge to claim her as his is strong. As he leaves the station he thinks he catches a glimpse of someone he knew back in what he calls his dark ages, Jameson, the vampire who could make him a monster when they were together. Then he hears a laugh and he shivers.
The next morning London is at the building with her interview when she bumps into Ryker. She asks why he's there he tells her he's doing her interview. For whatever reason London wants this man. In her head she was his already. !!!! Ryker knows she's his but he doesn't want to use compulsion. He wants her to want to be his. When she gets home she arrives with boxes of food that was left over from breakfast. Her brother Venice is suspicious about Ryker. He's also suspicious that she got the job. She tries to get him to go visit their dad but he declines. So she visits and listens as he talks about a woman he followed and who he loved. Yeah he loved her and left his family to follow that woman. She finally heads home to prepare for her date with Ryker.
Ryker wants her but refuses to let the Vein council tie him to someone. He will choose. He wants London to freely choose him. On the date a hunter tries to take him out but his friend Jameson helps him out and suggests they meet up to catch up.
Now Ryker must steer him and London through the turmoil of the Vein council, his old "friend" Jameson and the San Lavi hunters. Will they come through together or will eveything he wants fall apart around him. And what about her family?
A fascinating look at vampire lives and loves. A story full of history that will slowly unwind but about people who are willing to take a stand and come out through the crucible hopefully stronger than ever.

Bloodlust and Fated Hearts is a phenomenal vampire romance which is quite entertaining and a page-turning paranormal romance. I did NOT want to put my phone down until I read the last page of this book because I was that hooked on by the storyline. Bloodlust and Fated Hears is phenomenally written, exceptionally balanced and beautifully executed by Sadie Sears. This book has a marvelous plot, wonderful characters and a breathtaking ending for the main characters. The characters are well developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. The main characters of Bloodlust and Fated Hearts are London and Ryker. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know both London and Ryker as well as witnessing their relationship with one another coming to fruition throughout the pages of the book. I love that these two amazing characters have a happy ending to their story with them being happy together. Bloodlust and Fated Hearts is the first book that I have read by Sadie Sears, and I was completely blown away by this amazing story. I would definitely encourage other readers to checkout this book and give it a read. I’m definitely going to look into more of Sadie Sears’s work in the future.

Fabulous vampire romance

A vampire romance in two parts, with great chemistry between the main characters; full of action, mystery and some wonderful twists.

When London is trying to get herself ready for an interview the following morning she could have done without having to get her twin siblings from the police station after they'd hit someone. But she wasn't expecting the attraction she felt towards the man they'd hit. She also wasn't expecting to see him again the following day when she turns up for her interview, with him.

Ryker is delighted to have found his fated mate but doesn't want to push her, he wants her to choose him too. But things won't be easy for the pair, with hunters and a radical vampire faction joining forces against them and they will need to fight for their lives and their love.

This book is pretty much the size of a duet. It came up to almost 800 Kindle pages, but they were all great pages to read. You get dual POVs- London’s and Ryker’s. Ryker is a very old vampire, with a grumpy side and a dark past. However, his cinnamon roll game is fierce when it comes to London. That guy was often willing to give up everything, even his sanity and life if it would make her happy. London’s life is overwhelmed by being a pseudo-mom to her siblings. Worrying and overthinking are her common states of mind, but Ryker is like a soothing balm over it all. Multiple great secondary characters brought depth, conflict, humor, and stability to the main character’s worlds. There is no shortage of obstacles or romantic scenes either. The ending was perfect and is well set up for some of the characters to have their book in the future.

Thoughts:
I really enjoyed reading this duology. It has the perfect combination of action, character development and spice. Although there are definitely times where I want to reach through my book and slap each of the characters, that also makes them very realistic in my opinion. You get to see different family, found family, and friendship dynamics and how they grow throughout the book. It also had a different (at least to me) take on part of the ideas of vampires so I enjoyed it. Sometimes you just need a fun, action packed, vampire billionaire romance. I would definitely recommend and am going to check out some of the other books written by this author.

I usually don’t read a lot of vampire stories but I sure am glad I choose this one

Vampires and Bonds: What more could I want?

Fantastic read. I’ve never read anything by this author,
and am normally hesitant to begin a book by someone I’ve never read before, but I am pleasantly surprised. What a fun, exciting, romantic read. I will definitely be reading more of this authors books.

Fantastic Stand Alone read! Compelling and heartfelt, the twists and turns keep you guessing on how everything will turn out. Definitely didn't feel rushed and that's not often found in Stand Alone novels. Definitely recommend this one.

Great story

I really enjoyed London and Rykers story. There was definitely a lot of family drama, something I think most people deal with occasionally, which only made it more interesting. It also had a good HEA.

The back and forth and indecision here in the middle was torture, mainly London's fault. I also wanted to slap her sister, Havana and could not even stand to read her on the page. DNF.

London is human, Ryker is a vampire. He wants her, she wants him. Little does she know they are fated lives. Hunters, danger, love and romance. A great vampire romance book
