Please note this book was previously published as The Trouble on Regency Road.

Detective Inspector Morgan Yeoman is done with playing the part of grieving husband. Any love he had for his wife died long before she did.

His wife was a murderer, and he helped cover her tracks.

His guilt threatens to consume him. But his team — who he’s been lying to for months — needs him.

Last night, seventy-five-year-old Fay Williams was brutally attacked in her home. Her tongue cut out and her fingers chopped off.

How is Yeoman supposed to find out what happened to Fay when she has no way of speaking and no way to write anything down?

The investigation is barely underway and Yeoman’s already hit a dead end. If Fay can’t tell him what happened, he will have to work twice as hard to uncover the truth. Even if it means breaking a few rules . . .

Old Evils Are Coming To Light On Recency Road...

The second book in Emmy Ellis' new series is a corker , as an old man wonders at seeing strangers on his street...Then an elderly woman is attacked, pert of her body removed in an obvious ' Do Not Tell' play...WHAT is going on!!
DI Morgan Yeoman has plenty to figure out as he starts to hear little whispers and runs into trying to find out what happened at the old home for children. Who was around back then, and why would someone wait so long to address something that happened years ago...
Gritty, scheming people, long hidden evil, and one person who follows his dreams, and continues his horrible ways....Can DI Morgan figure out the hidden secret, before even he is effected by terror on Regency Road?....
A fantastic book in a great series by an author who keeps you guessing...

This is the second book in this new series from Emmy Ellis.

It begins with an evil attack on an old woman leaving her unable to tell the police what happened to her or who the culprit was.

It’s up to DI Morgan Yeoman to dig in to the residents’ pasts to uncover the truth when other crimes are committed.

This was a read full of twists and turns. The characters all have secrets and I love the confession element which introduces each of the characters.

A great addition to another fabulous series from Emmy Ellis.

A gripping read.

This authors books have not failed me yet. Thoroughly enjoying this series. The author has a talent of gritty down to earth characters and settings that you find yourself thinking “ it could happen, these things could be happening behind closed doors” . I love that! Looking forward to the next in the series x

Another brilliant book.

Murder is such a hard thing to do, but what is mire difficult is not letting yourself panic.

A murder of a child, one person carries it out, another forced to help and a third watching it all take place.

Tongues and fingers cut - is there a link? Read and find out

Well written. It's definitely worth reading these new books.

Throughly enjoyed this book and the first one. I've read all of Emmy Ellis's books. Hopefully they'll be a few more in this series.
