This may have been the worst decision I had ever had in my life. But, I had made it this far and I wasn’t ready to back down just yet.
I looked down at him and could see the amusement glimmering in his eyes. As his breath tickled my center, a shiver crept up my body. “Ask nicely, flower and I’ll touch you.”

What happens when a demon summoning goes wrong? Would you succumb to the demon of lust as he whispers sweet promises in your ear? Or, could you withstand his temptation?

Are you brave enough to find out?

DELICIOUS - SINFULLY ADDICTIVE - DEMON DADDY DELUXE

WHYYYYY CRYSTALLLL whyyyyyyyyyy 😭 It ended so quickly. I need more. Give me that demon daddy milk pleaseeee 😭😭😭

This book didn't just scratch my demon itch. It full-on summoned my (secret and infernal) thirst for a horny red hottie with horns. HORNS!!!! [imagine grabbing them while he feasts on you with his split tongue 🤤] eat me, daddy

I am terrifyingly in love with Asmodeus (Az). This hell-born, centuries-old, dangerously sexy hellspawn takes one look at Lilith and his whole demonic system crumbles.

He becomes THE SIMP:
🔥 He becomes her overprotective bodyguard
🔥 He kidnaps her, but gently 🤣
🔥 He becomes her emotional support [plushie] demon
🔥 He only cares for her pleasure
🔥 He's respectful: “I will not ruin her. Unless she asks. Politely. Twice.” 😂

In short.
He went from: “I'm a ruthless killer” to “I’ll die if you cry.”

We're all familiar with the iconic trope of insta-lust. Even though this book is very short. Lilith (FMC) doesn't give in immediately. Sure, there's a hot brooding demon who looks like a smug ass Draco Malfoy in his human form, who follows her everywhere like a little puppy. But she resists.

That's what I loved most about this book. Lilith may be emotionally starved "same girl, I feel you", but she's got that realistic queen energy. She's NOT DUMB.. She knows he's not boyfriend material even though her panties are drenched hehe.

And then...

...the glorious "FUCK IT" scene 👏👏👏

So, she sees him in his true demon form and *obviously* is shocked and frightened and Az is like: How dare you call me ugly? - sobs in 6 demon languages. 😍 He's adorable.

Quotes I loved:
I was going to Hell. That much was sure. But, God... please let him be the one to drag me down.

Some mortals fantasize about being in your shoes. They worship us.

Not like this, flower. Pull those fingers out and let me see them.

We were nothing but stories to write about in books. The villains to their worshipped God.

I'm so happy I applied for this arc. This has been one of my most enjoyable reads.

✨Thank you Crystal✨

As an AR for this, I feel an immense amount of gratitude for the amount of work it takes for an indie author to self-publish a work like this. For that, I have to give a HUGE "KUDOS!"

Things I enjoyed:
The play on the names. The writer's knowledge of demons, characters from the Christian lore (don't come at me for the phrasing!) I do appreciate. I think that historically speaking, Adam has been painted in a far better light and Lilith (Adam's first wife, typically associated as being the mother of demons) is written far differently. So, to have her portrayed as the love/lust interest is refreshing.

I LOVE when an author gives a music playlist!!!! It really gives a whole new feel to a piece of work and makes it a fully immersive experience. Crystal Crist is awesome for doing this!

It was an accessible read. Even without the knowledge of name recognition, etc. I feel like it will be enjoyed by many!

Things I'm torn on:
I feel that this is a nice piece of work... The concept is there, the potential is there. But I'm a sucker for a fully fleshed out novel. So, to make a long story short- I wanted there to be MORE.

There's a gap of 6 years that goes without a much of an indication of what happened... We're left knowing about a potential "first date", but not much else since she *acquired* the store.

Things that didn't quite vibe with me:
The dedication, while is beautiful and I can appreciate why it was chosen, I think that if we're going for a take on biblical characters or even just demons, a quote from The Bible or Dante's Inferno would've been more fitting?

Historically, Lilith is portrayed as a more powerful character. Yes, the Lilith in this story is a fighter at her core, but how quickly she becomes submissive to Asmodeus? Sorry, but I feel like she just gives in too quickly.

To summarize:
I truly didn't dislike this. But I cannot say it was my favorite.

Again, I feel very privileged to have been chosen as a receiver of the ARC.

Thank you for this experience!

Another great book by Crystal Crist. She has quickly become my favorite indie author, and I devour every book she writes.

Lilith accidentally summons a demon during a drunken stupor, and it causes a chain of events that she definitely was not prepared for. I really enjoyed her character. She was spicy and even though she was fearful of her new demon, it did not deter her from telling him exactly where to go.

Az just wanted to collect his soul and be on his way, but Lilith really intrigued him, he took his time and decided to have a little fun while he waited;)

This is a short, easy read that I would suggest for anyone who is looking for a quick spicy fix.

Wow. At just 145 pages, this book is devilishly fun, quick-paced, spicy, and utterly captivating. I devoured it in under two hours. I was immediately hooked, eager to see how everything would unfold. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and now I’m left craving more! The details were rich, the characters brilliant, the push-and-pull dynamic between Lilith and Az... absolutely addictive. And that ending? Not what I expected at all.

Lilith is a character and a half. Angry at her creepy boss Adam for dangling her job over her head in exchange for some unsavoury favours, she decides to drown her frustrations with alcohol. In her drunken stupor, she digs out an old book, lights some candles, and attempts to summon a demon to fix her boss problem. She doesn’t believe she’s succeeded, so she goes to bed like nothing happened. But when she wakes up, she’s greeted by a distinct smell, a dress laid out for her, and a single black rose. It’s then she realises the hot mess she’s created for herself.

Az, a demon, is harsh, cruel, mean, and all he wants is the soul he was summoned for. But as soon as he sees the lovely “flos meus” (little flower), his interest deepens. No longer content with just her soul, he decides to have a little fun. Gentle and patient, he still knows how to use his darker, demon qualities (hello, split tongue) to coax his little flower to the dark side.

This book will definitely pull you in.

If you want to read a book that is fun, flirty, and downright *obsessive*, read this book.

Lilith is a regular girl who is just trying to make ends meet and survive her asshole of a boss. One particularly bad day at work (and a little too much alcohol) leads to her accidentally summoning a demon, specifically the demon of Lust, Asmodeus. With his forked tongue, razor-sharp wit, and unwavering devotion to this girl he just met, Az is here to claim what is owed to him.

This book is ✨swoon-worthy✨ in all the best ways. It’s short but packs a delicious punch, with tension that sizzles and quotes that will haunt your thoughts in the best way.

A few of my favorite quotes:

“Make your demands now, little flower.” His voice dropped lower, causing an unnatural chill to the air around me. “Because soon, you’ll be the one craw like on your knees.”

“Did she truly not know how perfect she was? Her body looked sculpted by the angels I had abandoned long ago.”

“God may have created you, Flos Meus. But the fire that lingers in your eyes was birthed from the flames of Hell itself.”

“I’m going to ruin you so beautifully.”

Crystal Crist has conjured a tale that is as seductive as it is addictive - do yourself a favor and indulge in it. 🥰🖤

This is a quick spicy novella that I was able to read in an hour.

Lilith works a small shop called "Eden Treasures and Mystiques". She has a creepy boss named Adam who's constantly making passes at her and threatening her job.

In a drunken stupor she summons a demon because she is mad at said boss. Not knowing that the book that she was using was real. That is where the lust demon Az comes in. At first he was mad and then he became obsessed with Lilith.

Honestly this book by Crystal Crist was so good. The push and pull between the FMC and the MMC. It was hot and spicy and need I say more than he has a forked tongue!!!

Thank you Crystal for this book I can't wait to read more of your books!

Oh My Az! is an absolute masterpiece! From the very first page, I was completely hooked by Crystal’s brilliant storytelling. The writing was seamless, making it easy to dive into the world she created. The characters were so vividly described that I could practically see them in real life!

The pacing kept me engaged, and every twist had me craving more. Crystal truly outdid herself, delivering an unforgettable story that left me desperate for more. If you love immersive, well-written stories, this is a must-read!

This is a short but spicy little story.

If you like supernatural/human interactions then you will want to read this.

Lilith is a mean little FMC who in the beginning comes across as very young and very naive. She works for a man who is in all essence a creep. What she wasn’t expecting was meeting Az, the MMC. At is everything no one should want. He is strong, otherworldly, dominate, and possessive. However he is obsessed with Lilith.

Even though this story is short, it encompasses a lot.

This was my first story that I had read by Crystal Crist and she did not disappoint.

I agree with what a few others have stated. To not only write, but self-publish is a huge feat in itself. I have a ton of respect for that kind of drive.

The story felt a little rushed to me and I'll be honest, not as plot driven as I think I might have been expecting, going in. Still an interesting, spicy little read tho. And I'm definitely still adding future books to my tbr!

This is my first ever official ARC read and was such a great one to start with!

I enjoyed this book immensely. It is a novella, so quick read that left me wanting more. I would love to see more of the character relationships fleshed out and a bit more drama, but for the short book it was, it was good. Fun, with lots of spice.

Lilith is frustrated with her pig of a boss, Adam, and in a drunken stupor decides to summon a demon from what she thinks is a gag book. She summons Asmodeus as he was in the middle of Smeggsy times and doesnt do anything to keep him contained.

Smexual tension ensues.

Lilith isnt sure why she is attracted to a demon, but that split tongue that can grow at will may be a part of it.“I’m going to ruin you so beautifully.”

Az poses a choice to Lilith. He needs to collect a soul to head back to Hell. Will it be Lilith's or her pig of a bosses? For a quick, fun, smutty read I definitely recommend this book!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This in no way impacted my opinions.

‘A Forbidden Encounter’ is a quick, spicy novella that dives straight into the thrills of summoning a demon and facing the very intimate consequences. The premise immediately caught my attention - what happens when you call forth a demon and he has his own ideas about what to do with you? While I wished for more depth in certain areas, this novella delivers exactly what it promises: a steamy supernatural encounter with just enough intrigue to keep the pages turning.

Plot: ★★★★☆
The plot of ‘A Forbidden Encounter’ is enticingly simple yet effective. The idea of summoning a demon is always a fun setup, but what makes this stand out is the way the tension builds between the protagonist and the demon she calls forth. There's an immediate sense of danger, temptation, and the thrill of the unknown. While I would have loved a bit more detail and development - perhaps more exploration of the consequences of the summoning - it’s understandable given the novella’s brevity. As a short, spicy read, it delivers exactly what it promises.

Character: ★★★☆☆
Due to the novella’s length, the characters don’t have as much time to develop as I would have liked. The demon is seductive and intense, but I found myself wanting to know more about his motivations and personality beyond the immediate connection. The protagonist, too, is intriguing, but I didn’t feel like I truly knew her. That said, this isn’t a story that hinges on deep character development - it’s more about the heat of the moment, and in that regard, it succeeds.

Setting: ★★★☆☆
The setting is intriguing but doesn’t feel as fully realised as it could be. The atmosphere of summoning a demon should be dripping with tension, darkness, and maybe even a touch of fear, but I didn’t quite feel the weight of it. A bit more detail in describing the summoning process, the setting where it takes place, and how the environment shifts when the demon arrives could have made this even more immersive.

Engagement: ★★★★☆
For a short novella, ‘A Forbidden Encounter’ kept me engaged. The pacing moves quickly, and the tension between the characters holds attention well. The chemistry is undeniable, and the story doesn’t waste time getting to the good stuff. However, I did find myself wishing for a bit more build-up - some teasing moments to heighten anticipation would have made the payoff even stronger.

Readability: ★★★★☆
The writing is smooth and easy to follow, making this a fast and enjoyable read. The descriptions are vivid enough to paint a clear picture without dragging down the pacing, and the dialogue flows well. There were moments where I wanted just a bit more sensory detail to fully immerse me in the experience, but overall, it was a solid, well-written novella.

Enjoyment: ★★★★☆
I enjoyed ‘A Forbidden Encounter’ for what it was - a quick, steamy, supernatural novella with a tantalising premise. While I would have loved more depth in both the plot and characters, I still had fun reading it. If you’re looking for a short, spicy paranormal read with a seductive demon, this one is definitely worth checking out.

‘A Forbidden Encounter’ delivers exactly what the title suggests - an intense, forbidden, supernatural romance with plenty of heat. While it could have benefited from more development in the plot, setting, and characters, it still makes for an entertaining and sultry read. If you’re in the mood for a quick, demonic encounter with plenty of spice, this is one to add to your list.

Get a job at one of your favorite stores in town only to despise your creepy boss that won't stop hitting on you even though he's married, sucks right? Keep refusing his advances and suddenly he's threatening to move you from full time to part time when you can barely afford life as is. What's the solution? Getting trashed at the bar and then going home and accidentally summoning a lust demon to assist in your problem.

That's life for Lilith, and Asmodeus is happy to assist in all her issues, from boss troubles to sexual frustrations. Honestly this story was really great. I loved the teasing and the commanding from Az. I love the way he hides around the shop and teases her when she's at work. I love how matter of fact he is every single time he says Flos Meus, my little flower. "God may have created you, Flos Meus. But the fire that lingers in your eyes was birthed from the flames of Hell itself."

I love how well Lilith slid into the sub role while also maintaining being a brat, hey representation 👋 Their spicy time was super hot and I will always get excited for dom/sub dynamics. I am such a sucker for spicy time while in demon form. Face riding while rubbing his horns? DP with a tail? omfg so good. Getting to the point where she only wants him in his demon form and he no longer uses glamour ever? 🔥🔥🥵🥵

My only issueBUT even with that I still really loved it and I'm excited for the next one to come out!

Rating: 4/5 ⭐️
Spice: 3/5🌶️
Characters: 4/5
Plot: 3.5/5
POV: Dual

------

🌸 Trigger Warnings (author also mentions in their book): Graphic depiction of death, spanking, no safe words allowed, pet names, stalking, chasing, obsession
🌸 Two words: Demon Romance
🌸 Let me add two more words: Split Tongue

✨My Review:

Let me start by saying that this novella was an enjoyable read! While the plot started a bit slow, but once it picked up, the pacing remained steady and engaging throughout. The characters were well-developed and I loved reading from their POV - especially how MMC (Az) was described by the FMC (Lilith) as well as his perspective of Lilith made me feel like I was seeing her just as vividly as he did.

I could sense the yearning from him which I was obsessed with.

The spice was well-balanced for a 145-page novella, delivering just the right amount for the length of this book. If it was longer, I hoped it would be more but from what I read, it was great!

The only reason I’m rating this 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the ending felt a little rushed—or maybe I just didn’t want it to end!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would absolutely read more from this author in the future. I screamed when I saw 'THE END' because I did want more.

Disclaimer: I was given the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was lucky enough to beta read this for Crystal and let me tell you. I never thought I would love a Demon or be into one but like… hello Asmodeus (Az).

This spicy novella follows our FMC, Lilith his little Flos meus (little flower), and our MMC and demon, Az. Lilith works at a magical/witchy shop called Eden’s for her boss Adam and his wife Eve.

Adam is a creeeeepy boss trying anything he can to entice Lilith to give him more than just her duties as an employee. She turns him down at every advance and one night she has just a little too much spicy water after said encounter and picks up a summoning book.

Some candles, incense, and an offering later, she is summoning a demon. However she doesn’t believe it and goes to bed.

Only to wake up the next morning smelling sulfur and late to work and things are a mess in her apartment.

Things heat up and I encourage you to take time to read this spicy novella to see where Lilith and Az go from here.

Demons. Split tongues. Witchy vibes. Forbidden romance. Creepy boss. Bring. It. On.
🌶️🤌🏻🖤

As always, check your triggers and happy reading!

WOW!! I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to ARC read A Forbidden Encounter 👏🏽📖
This spicy novella follows our FMC, Lilith our Flos meus (little flower), and our MMC and demon, Az, AKA Demon Daddy🥵
Lilith works at a shop called Eden's Treasures and Mystiques, a shop filled with tarot cards, crystals, etc (full on witchy vibes 😍) for her boss Adam.
After Adam continuously making advances towards Lilith and being a total creep/a**hole, Lillith decides to have a little too much to drink and picks up a summoning book🫣
Some candles, incense, and an offering later, she has summoned a demon.
She goes to bed thinking that it didn’t work, only to wake up the next morning to her apartment a mess, a dress laid out for her, and a single black rose.
This book will draw you in and keep you in a choke hold from the very first page. The spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and you won’t want it to end!

My rating 3/ 5 stars

This was a fairly short and spicy novella. I overall enjoyed it. I mean, it was fun. I’m not entirely sure how much I liked the present tense writing in this but it wasn’t too bad. It does get better the further the novella progresses. The first few pages are a bit hard to get through but after that it picks up pretty well.

Where it lost points with me was the overly descriptive language for things that didn’t really need to be described as heavily. I know not everyone dislikes flowery language but I personally thought it wasn’t warranted for this novella. I kind of just wanted the author to get on with it sometimes.

It also loses points for some of the dialogue. It feels just a little bit campy BUT I also think it’s charming and silly. All things considered, I did finish this and like it. Please heed the trigger warnings and age rating (18+).

It gains points for me with Lilith. Especially her seemingly personal vendetta against alarm clocks. That is incredibly relatable— Especially on dreary work mornings.

Thank you to Crystal for giving me an eARC of A Forbidden Encounter and the chance to review this. I look forward to seeing more from you.

I just had to share about a book I devoured recently – I think Crystal Crist is quickly becoming one of my go-to authors! I picked up her latest, and it was absolutely fantastic.
"Delectable Sins Series," but The story introduces us to Lena, who is the rebellious daughter of a pastor, caught in some truly difficult circumstances with her father. What she doesn't realize is that her dad has made a very dangerous pact, and it's about to catch up with him in a big way. The vibe of Lena's struggle is perfectly captured by a line from the book: "Forgive me, Daddy, for I have sinned…And I don’t think I can stop."

Things get incredibly interesting when two incredibly alluring characters, Luce and Draco (who are, shall we say, quite powerful and enigmatic), set their sights on Lena. They decide they *need* her, and their methods of seduction and claiming her as their own are utterly captivating. It's a journey into a world where desire and destiny intertwine, promising a very intense and passionate experience.
Honestly, I couldn't put this book down. The writing is superb, drawing you into Lena's world and the intoxicating dynamic between the characters from the very first page. And yes, it's definitely what you'd call a 'spicy' read – packed with heat and undeniable chemistry!
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNINGS ⚠️
***You should absolutely check it out if you're looking for something immersive, thrilling, and with a definite kick.
