Dancing is no monkey business...
Irina has spent her whole life working toward the dream of a lifetime: participating in an Irish dance competition in Ireland itself. And now that she’s here...she’s terrified! But Irina is determined to make the best of it even if she’s afraid—and meeting huge, gorgeous DJ Mick is the first step in the right direction.

He’s going ape over her...
All gorilla shifter Mick wants to do is reassure his mate...but nobody is reassured by a gorilla hopping out of its enclosure at a wildlife park! When Mick manages to meet Irina at her dance competition, he’s blown away by her talent...and suspicious of a judge who seems to down-vote her for no reason. But as long as they’re together, that doesn’t matter—until disaster strikes, and Mick is the only one who can save Irina and her future!

A Good J-Ape

Irish-American dancer Irina is in Ireland for an international Irish dance competition. She's alone and knows no one. Should she even have dared think she was good enough to even be here? Some of the other girls were really good. Was she kidding herself to think she stood a chance of doing well here? She went to visit the local zoo and immediately felt herself relax. And that's when she overheard a worker talking to someone. But whe she moved Irina realised she'd been talking to a gorilla. And a splendid creature he was too. She wasn't even surprised that she'd been talking to him as if he were human. His eyes sparkled with intelligence and he looked at her as if he knew her. She snorted to herself. Was she so lonely she was imagining a connection with an ape? Or was there more to it than that?

Mick looked at his mate with frustration. He wanted to take her in his arms and promise her the sun, moon and stars but he was sure that a gorilla breaking out of the enclosure would be be more alarming than reassuring. All he could do was put everything he could into his eyes so that if she saw him as a man she'd feel a connection. Do they stand a chance? How could it work out? Like all shifters before him, he'd have to put his trust in fate

I’ve really enjoyed this new series, where shifters get to be their animal selves at the Shamrock Zoo, and be an “animal on loan” while they are visiting in Ireland. Each have met their fated mate at the Zoo, some were humans who knew nothing of shifters. This one featured an American who learned dancing from her Irish grandmother, and is in Ireland for the 1sr time to compete. She had some free time after an initial round of competition, so she visits the zoo in her free time. She’s taken by this one gorilla who seems fascinated by her.

Mick was in his gorilla form when he saw his fated mate. When he hears about the dace competition, he goes to check it out. When he gets a chance to meet her afterwards, he invites her to come to where he will be a deejay for a set. He ends up introducing her and invites her to show her dancing skills (Think Riverdance style). I don’t want to give anything away, but I loved how this story progressed!

Another fun instalment in the Shamrock Shifters series - this time featuring an American Irish dancer FMC and a DJ gorilla shifter MMC (look, this could only have been more fun if Mick were a gorilla drummer - but the music tie-in was still nice). I read an ARC of this because I'm on the author's Patreon.

NOTE: I will happily read anything Murphy Lawless writes, knowing I'm going to enjoy myself with a fun story that won't spike my anxiety, and this one was no exception. The banter was delightful, as was the depictions of Irina's dancing and Mick's DJing - not to mention watching them getting to play tourist in between competition/gig performances.

Added bonus: all the shoutouts to the other Virtue shifter and Gladiator shifter characters and books. They always make me smile <3

A Great Read!!!

I really enjoyed Gorilla in the Groove(Shamrock Safari Shifters)!!!! All abou Irina Zarabaka a twenty-three old Irish dancer from America & Mick Mahoney a twenty-eight year old DJ and a gorilla shape shifter. Turns out Irina is Micks mate. They met at a Wild Life park, where he was stretching his gorilla legs. She’s in town for an international Irish dancing competition, representing the USA. Read about Irina & Mick as they tour Ireland around the competition. This was an extraordinaryly interesting book, that I fell in love with. Definite Read!!!!

sad,the villain we are never told why he did what he did!

sad,the villain we are never told why he did what he did! That seems like a serious mistake with a story like this why did he do it? Huh? I’m not talking about him being a racist purist and low voting her. But what happened afterwards and why? And story ending abruptly like the author was just so over her own story hurry up and end it, move on to the next one.

A fun fluff where American born Irina gets a HEA with gorilla shifter Mick.

Irina almost has her dreams dashed by unscrupulous judges but fate and Mick step in to save the day.

another good book from Ms. Chant

I really enjoy this book. It was funny and sweet and wonderfully done by the Ms. Chant, a.k.a. Murphy Lawless.

Irinia and Mick were so sweet and so cute. This book does not have any graphic sex scenes. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Irish dancing!

This whole series is so much fun. An American Irish dancer comes to Ireland for a competition, and finds much more of an adventure than she bargained for. Really sweet story!

This was a fun one. I loved the Irish Dancing and DJ worlds combining.

There's not a lot of the zoo in this one .. just at the beginning and end ... with some fum cross-over characters showing up.

A lovely story starring a "gentle" giant of an Irish DJ and an American Irish trad dancer. Fated mates, a tour of Cork/Cobh, Ireland and a dance competition that may be spoiled by an unscrupulous judge. A fun read for an afternoon.

Fun and enjoyable characters. Great location for a sweet romance. As with all 'Zoe' books, it is complete with a HEA. Must read for shifter fans.

Sweet!

Love this safari park in Ireland and the many shifter stories that go with it. I wasn't sure how they were going to work a gorilla into the mix but it worked!

A sweet little read

Thoroughly enjoyed this story. Irina is so cute and Mick is just right. His gorilla is totally laid back. Recommend this without hesitation.
