Wiggly Wanda

I really enjoyed reading " Wiggy Wanda" which gave a simple but heartwarming definition of cancer for children to understand. The illustrations are just adorable of Keri, her parents and of Wiggy Wanda. I highly recommend this book to anybody who might find it difficult to talk about cancer with children.

Not often do I come across a children's book that tackles such a difficult subject. Big praise to the author for helping raise cancer awareness but also for offering a way of making it easier to understand for children. I liked how the story touched on some of the side effects of the disease and treatment for it whilst bringing it all to a level that children can relate to. I remember having to try and explain cancer and chemo to my young son when a relative had cancer and a book like this one would have been very helpful.
