The world is on the brink of a cataclysm that will change human history forever. Known by many names—the Rapture, the Vanishing, the Great Disappearance, the Blink—what unfolds is far more terrifying than anyone could have imagined. Blink follows an intricate web of characters in the days leading up to and through the first few months of the Rapture. Scientists, government officials, clergy, and ordinary citizens find themselves grappling with a sudden reality they are ill-prepared to the disappearance of millions of people in the blink of an eye.
The story takes a documentary-style approach, blending personal interviews and firsthand accounts. We see a reverend who used to laugh at the idea and is now shocked by its reality. A skeptical journalist tries to report the chaos as cars crash, planes fall from the sky, and the world is plunged into confusion. Government leaders scramble to maintain control and more importantly, try to control the message.
Through these perspectives, Blink chronicles the lives of those left behind, as they navigate the aftermath of the most extraordinary event in human history. Their world is now divided into those who believe this was divine intervention and those still seeking answers. With the backdrop of rising global unrest, Blink explores people's choices when faced with a world that will never be the same again.
