As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with. I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters. When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!
This is book four in The Lighthouse Security Investigations Montana Series and it is Devlin and Mia’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Devlin and Mia have history because at one time they were each other’s first in every way and also in love while looking forward to a future together only for it to all fall apart leaving them both hurt and devastated. Now years later and they meet again on the other side of the world where Mia is doing humanitarian work and Devlin had arrived to help with security because of problems that have plagued the camp. When Devlin and Mia meet again they are both so shocked to see each other after so many years apart which puts them both into a silent standoff and Devlin knows that he had hopefully been given the chance that he needs to prove that he is not the same person that he was and takes all the blame and guilt for what happened before because his love for Mia is still as strong as ever. Mia is working in the camp on a humanitarian mission but when a problem arises the last person she ever expected to see again was Devlin but with food distribution disappearing and the inventory not adding up she needs help to solve the problem but the biggest shock was seeing Devlin again after so many years and even though she knew that she never stopped loving him she realised that she couldn’t go through that heartbreak again so now her job and life had just got even more complicated than ever. The more time that Devlin and Mia spend together they both realise that there love, chemistry and connection is just as strong as ever but unfortunately danger is closer that they thought and Mia is in the crosshairs of it all and Devlin knows that he will do anything and everything possible regardless of the situation or circumstances involved to make sure that Mia is kept safe and protected because there happiness and future that they always wanted is not on the line so they need to find and eliminate the threat before it takes everything away from them. Wow this book will take you on the biggest rollercoaster ride of emotions and I couldn’t put it down as the story pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and I loved how Devlin and Mia’s love stood the test of time and even though they both went through so much in there lives they were destined to be together. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait to read more books in this amazing series.
Mia Duffand and Jim Devlin met when they were young. They became best friends and spent all of their time together. They eventually fall madly in love and make plans to spend their lives together when they are ready to settle down. Meanwhile, Devlin, who Mia calls Jim, becomes a SEAL while Mia devotes her life to helping destitute people around the world with food security and nutrition programs.
However, one day Mia returns home after a month-long working trip when she discovers Jim half naked in the room and a naked woman lying in their bed. Feeling completely betrayed when Devlin says nothing, Mia leaves him forever.
After years of recovering from her dreadful last experience with Devlin, Mia moves to Uganda, where she dedicates her life to helping their refugees. Meanwhile, Devlin, who cannot forgive himself for losing Mia, must leave the SEALs after a serious injury. He becomes an investigator for Lighthouse Security Investigations (LSI).
Coincidentally, ten years after their last meeting, Mia and Delvin meet again in Uganda. When Mia discovers that a lot of the donated food for the refugees never makes it to the camp, she reports it to the people in charge. They suspect smugglers are involved, and they contact LSI to send investigators to help them apprehend the smugglers.
Both Mia and Devlin are unexpectedly shocked to see each other again. Devlin, who has realized for years that he made a mistake in letting Mia go, sees this as a chance to atone for his stupidly. Sadly he comes to realize that he has an uphill battle because Mia still has not forgiven him.
As the danger heightens, Devlin becomes even more conscious of how much he loves Mia and needs to reunite with her. On the other hand, even though Mia becomes more dependent on Devlin’s protection and begins to feel small glimmers of her love for him coming through, still finds it very difficult to forgive him.
This page-turner is full of riveting suspense, non-stop action and many twists and turns that will mesmerize readers. Also, the feelings between Mia and Devlin will also captivate everyone. Devlin does a fantastic job of respectfully groveling to Mia without being cheesy.
Ultimately, readers will be stunned and astounded by the shocking and astounding ending that Maryann Jordan skillfully creates!
It doesn’t matter how many books you need from Maryann Jordan each one feels as fresh as the very first book. This one is no different, she definitely knocked it out of the stratosphere with this addictive and compelling read.
I love how the guys all work together in perfect synchronicity. Each having the others back and working in tandem as a well oiled machine.
Devlin and Mia’s story is so beautiful and heart rendering. To have found your person at any age is a blessing but to find it at such a young age and then lose it broke my heart for both of them. That fate interceded to bring their worlds back together was so beautiful.
Devlin is a protector to his core. And whilst what he did to initiate their ending as kids was wrong, I can see that he did it with, what he thought at the time, was with the intention of protecting his love.
One wrong mistake and suffering for the rest of his life made my heart ache for him. Dedicating his life to protect and help others, as if in some way he can redeem himself just made me want to hug him.
Mia is a beautiful character inside and out. She brings warmth and caring to everyone she comes into contact with. Her smile and openness pulling you into her vicinity.
I hated the pain she went through, the heartache, but in some way maybe it’s what needed to happen in order for her to do what she wanted in her life, and not shape herself around someone else, which I have no doubt she would have done.
It was so heartwarming so see them get their second chance. To have that one love once is a blessing, but to have it twice is a true miracle and I’m so glad that they grabbed their chance and hung on for dear life as Devlin and the guys work together to find whoever is doing wrong.
The emotions and depth within the pages of this book are so huge and all encompassing it literally locked me on my backside. My heart went from aching for their pain, to be overwhelmed at their bond and the love that still flows between them.
This story is so heartfelt and compelling. I couldn’t put it down and can’t recommend highly enough.
James Devlin has been a Marine, a Navy SEAL and after a devastating injury in his last mission, is now a Keeper at the Montana division of Lighthouse Security Investigations. He has survived much, but he still regrets hurting the love of his life ten years ago. He has not only not forgotten her, but has never fallen in love again . In his latest mission, Devlin and two of his co-workers are sent to Uganda to help investigate what appears to be food smuggling from a camp that specializes in helping the refugees coming from Sudan and the Republic of the Congo. Mia Duff, the manager from the World Food program is the “whistlerblower” who noticed the discrepancies. She is also the girl Devlin left heartbroken . When these two come face to face , the shock and reminder of the hurt of the past shakes both of them, but the feelings and their love seems to percolate as the days go by. In the midst of the investigation, truths are revealed and they start to reconnect. But all must be set aside until the smugglers are identified. Is it someone from the camp? Are they working with someone from the outside ? The danger is real as the unthinkable happens and lives are in jeopardy. Will these two get a second chance at life and love? Once again, the author delivers an engaging story with a strong female character and a tarnished and likable hero. But the story is more than fiction. The refugee camps are a reality, and the suffering the refugees from DRC, Sudan and other locations is ongoing. Thanks to organizations and the dedicated individuals working them to offer assistance are to be commended. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Years ago Jim aka Devlin had THE woman he let walk away and now ten years later they end up seeing each other on another continent. Mia has dedicated her life to help others and went all in after Devlin broke her heart and shattered her world. He threw away ten years of love and now ten years later, he’s in her refuge camp in Uganda to provide protection and investigate who is stealing their food for the camps. The shock, hurt, anger all come rushing back for Mia, and for Devlin, regret and something else called hope as he may finally have the chance to explain all that happened that last day years ago. If she is willing to listen and hopefully forgive, he won’t let his Mia walk away this time..but first they need to figure out who is behind the elaborate thefts. In the beginning when I first heard Mia’s side…yes I was mad and not sure if I could forgive Devlin BUT I should have known better as this author never disappoints and it didn’t take me long to cheer and root for these two. Mia, kind, strong, forgiving and beautiful inside and out deserves the second chance and Devlin the protecter who finally has the courage to own up to all his mistakes. The story flowed beautifully with descriptions that were spot on, amazing characters, suspense, surprises and a timeless love between Devlin and Mia that is sacred….another keeper. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Fate brings second chances for former navy Seal Jim Devlin and humanitarian aid worker Mia Duff in Book 4 of the Lighthouse Security Investigations Montana Series, set against the backdrop of beautiful but impoverished Uganda. When Mia alerts her boss that food earmarked for Ugandan refugee camps is going missing on a large scale LSI Montana are called in to investigate bringing together childhood and beyond sweethearts Devlin and Mia who haven't set eyes on each other in 10 years after Devlin ripped her heart to shreds. Seeing him again Mia realised she has never gotten over her first (and only) love but she has also never gotten over the devastation he wreaked on her heart and is determined to keep him at arms length and not risk her heart again. Devlin deeply regrets the hurt he inflicted and has never stopped thinking of Mia, a protector to his core his motive was pure but his method was cruel. Now having found Mia again he is determined this time he will not let her go. As they attempt to track down those behind the food thefts can Mia and Devlin rewrite their future and build a new relationship. Danger of course looms, can the team keep Mia safe so the pair can find their HEA. Suspense, danger, some twists, loved Mia who is a strong independent woman, Devlin will never be one of my favourites but he does redeem himself and I love second chance stories. Great story as ever from a favourite author.
James Devlin is part of the Lighthouse Security Investigation Montana series. He was sent to a refugee camp in Uganda to uncover a smuggling ring stealing food supplies from the refugee camp and someone working in the camp was part of it. Mia Duff is the manager from the World Food Program who noticed the discrepancies in the food supplies . Neither knew the other was going to be at this camp. Devlin and Mia had a past that had lasted ten years through high school, college and beyond. Then they broke up - or should I say Devlin pushed her away thinking it was in her best interest -and haven't seen each other for the last ten until this chance meeting in Uganda. Neither lost the love for each other. The book is full of heart wrenching raw emotions. Full of openness, honesty, forgiveness, tears, finding each other again, starting over all while Devlin tries to save Mia from smugglers. You will hate Devlin and then you will love him as you will understand why he had to let her go to fly. Plus Maryann leads you down many roads as to who in the camp is part of the smugglers and you think you figured it out but I guarantee you won't know till the end of book. Awesome read!!!
Devlin is yet another triumphant outing for Maryann Jordan. I swear she creates the very best characters that any reader could want and the surrounds them with interesting, unique stories filled with just the right mix of suspense, action, danger, intrigue and romance. In the case of Devlin it's a second chance romance.
Jim Devlin and Mia Duff have twenty years of history between them. The first half filled with love, happiness and plans for the future. The second ten years are nothing but heartache, regrets and sorrow. But when providence or destiny or serendipity reunites them on the other side of the world, it''s not something to be ignored. That's not to say reconciling will be easy or everlasting. At the very least they have a second chance. The intervening years have shaped them and given them the opportunity to fulfill their goals. Now it's time to for their future but first they must reconcile the past. At the same time LSIMT teammates Jim, Cole and Todd are tryng to track down food thefts from a large Ugandan refugee camp which results in Mia being put in harm's way. The culprits and the outcome are surprising but rest assured there is an HEA when all it said and done.
This work is incredible… it’s a journey of DEVLIN and MIA that leaves you feeling so many emotions. From anger, betrayal, sadness, uncertainty and understanding. It’s raw and emotional and has you invested in their past present and future! They are brought together unexpectedly and fight to keep their emotions at bay whilst dealing with the present mission. They both show strength and vulnerability! Buts it’s Mia’s resilience, integrity and her loyalty to what means that most to her that has you so invested. Devlin knows that he has his work cut out for him in gaining Mia’s trust and respect.. and he does it with a tenacious need to have her back and have her in his life once again! Once again Maryann has an uncanny ability to allow your imagination sore and to see exactly what she is writing…, I felt like I was there in the camp… it was there in my mind so vividly. The many characters were brought to life so beautifully. The emotion at the end of the book had me crying… the feels were real!! A journey of the unexpected that had you on the edge not knowing what was coming next!! Loved loved loved!!
OMG, This might be my new favorite Maryann Jordan book!!!!!
This is a story of a boy and a girl who meet in high school and fall in love. They graduate together and go to the same college. They are together for 10 years until they go through an extremely painful breakup. They spend 10 more years apart and then meet across the globe in a refuge camp in Uganda.
Mia is in charge of food distribution in a very large refuge camp in Uganda and notices food going missing. She reports it and LSIM respond after a request is made by an old friend of Logan's. Maryann Jordan did a wonderful job of writing the feelings that Mia and Devlin and developing their characters. We saw them as young people and then, later as adults. It was compelling reading as they went through the pain and worked to an understanding. This story was woven into the suspense of the food theft in the refuge camp. I couldn't put this book down. I highly recommend this latest edition of Lighthouse Security Investigations Montana, you won't be disappointed.
This book is a high school sweethearts but dates into early 20s (ish) but after trauma on a opp and feeling he is holding her back, plus really bad timing helping a neighbour looks bad devlin use's that moment to break up with Mia. 20 years later fate puts them on the same path again. She is in danger but he now more grown up and dealing better has to tell her the truth and hope for second chance. I felt sorry for delvin, yes he is a idiot, but he was in pain also and seeing the wife's grief sealed it for him.very deep and sad well written and her pain too.
I was disappointed on how he explained the lighthouse. But after so many linked series you don't want to repeat to much so I get it, but I loved how mason granddad talked about the lighthouse and the Keepers to him as a child, think the author should just make a frame up in every branch about the founder and how it started, characters can see it and we hear the thoughts on it not the story every time ?
Looks like a office romance next with Todd and Tec support Sadie.
James Devlin loves his job with Lighthouse Security Montana and has a good life. But it’s not complete. He made a mistake years ago that ripped his heart out. Mia Duff was his future and he threw it all away. His new mission takes him to Uganda to investigate the theft of food for the refugees. He couldn’t be more shocked when he meets the World Food Program manager, Mia Duff. Could he have a second chance to make it right and get the girl he still dreams of? Mia isn’t happy about her new bodyguard. Devlin destroyed her years ago. He wants a second chance. Could she trust him with her heart again? Mia is determined to solve the mystery of the missing food. But the more she digs the more desperate the smugglers become and her life is in danger. She soon realizes that Devlin is the only one she wants to protect her, love her and save her. She just prays he’s not too late. "Thank you for writing this story.”
Loved and at the same time wanted to shout at Jim Delvin. The at man made me feel different emotions all at the same time. Jen and Mia were high school sweet heart who stayed together for ten years. That is until Delvin decide to end it. Ten years later both on in their jobs but not in their hearts. Delvin has now left the Navy Seals and works. For Lighthouse Security. Mia works for a charity that gives food aid to refugees. Fate brings together when food goes missing and Delvin is part of the team that is sent to help. The shock of seeing each other causes a tide of emotions. The angry, the pain the humiliation of the past comes flooding back for Mia. When Delvin explains the truth it still takes her a while to find her peace. All at the same time a thief must be found, who to trust and when Mia is taken, Delvin is will not anything happen to the woman he has always loved and let go again. Loved these characters all of them. The drama, angst, betrayal and the romance all here.
Devlin finds a surprise on his mission to Uganda, After losing his Mia, to totally f@up 10 years ago he finally gets to try for a second chance. Mia, is totally shocked by Devlin being at her Refugee camp, that she didn’t know whether to knock him silly or to scream. Reason Devlin, Cole and Todd is there is to see how and why food was being taken that was for the refugees. But, now Devlin has to multi task the assignment, the conflict and trying to make amends to Mia. Maryann has brought another couple together within the Lighthouse family with a little mystery of figuring out who the bad guys are and whether or not the main characters are HEA. Of course,Maryann doesn’t disappoints❤️ I really enjoyed reading Devlin, I thought I had it figured out, but I didn’t think about 🤔 who it really was, I was surprised. I also loved the little sayings that “Farid” would quote to Mia, Maryann found some beautiful ones. You will enjoy Devlin ♥️📚
Devlin, aka Devil of LSIMT, had never recovered from letting her go even if he was the reason she left. Mia has worked overseas for Food Aid groups for 10 years ever since Devlin and she parted. Now fate has brought them together in Uganda, her working there and discovering food supplies missing, him assigned with two other Keepers to see if they can solve the discrepancy. Fate has brought them together far overseas, but can it reunite them? Devlin eats " crow" for his past behavior as Mia realizes she grew and fulfilled her life's work in the 10 years apart. Now, as they work together for a common good, they come together as a couple. A nice addition to the LSIMT series! This book broadens the view of the reader on food insecurities and war in Uganda, the Congo and throughout the world which USAID was so integral a part of for that reason and for positioning embedded US people in places of strategic importance.
What a fantastic second chance book! Devlin and Mia were together for 10 years, but Devlin broke Mia's heart 10 years ago and it devastated her. Now Devlin finds himself with Todd and Cole, from LSIMT, in Uganda trying to find out about food supplies being systematically stolen from a world relief group. The whistleblower is Mia. Needless to say, they are both surprised to see each other.
I loved finding out about their past and the feelings that were going through them from when they met to the time they broke up. Mia is such a strong and independent woman. Can each be able to let go of the past, trust each other to find a path to the future? Can Devlin keep Mia safe as they unravel the mystery of who is stealing food supplies from the Ugandan refugee camps? I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it!
She’s done it again. What a ride, Devlin, also known as Jim, and Mia. Two people who grew up together and all was going well until the unexpected happens and Devlin leaves. Now Devlin is no longer a seal, a story in itself and now works for LSI-MT. He and 2 other Keepers are on a mission in Uganda to find out why food supplies are not getting to the places with the most need. And you guessed it one of the people working there is Mia. You will have fun reading and seeing the relationship with Jim/Devlin and Mia reignite, pulled back and it becomes a push pull relationship. How will it finally end. Will they find out who is taking the food supplies. Will Devlin and Mia get a HEA. Don’t forget this is a Mary Ann book but you’ll need to read it to find out how they reach a hopefully. HEA.
Second chance romances are not my favorite trope, but this one was awesome. Neither Devlin nor Mia had been whole since their breakup so many years before, but the story shows that they were really both better for each other in the end because of their time apart, as hard as it was on them. Devlin travels to Uganda on a job to root out some thefts and provide support in a refugee camp not knowing that Mia was the person they were going to try to help. They are both shocked to see the other and she is weary at first, but the time together at the camp gives them an opportunity to reconnect, find peace with what happened and a way to move forward together. There was a lot of mystery in this story with a bit of a twist regarding the bad guys and lots of excitement for the LSIMT team. A must read!!
This is the fourth book in Maryann Jordan's Lighthouse Security in Montana. Devlin and Mia spend 10 years together before a misunderstanding causes Mia to move out and later join the World Food Program's distribution center in Uganda. She finds that someone is stealing food crates and possibly giving them to the Congo rebels. Devlin retires as a Navy SEAL and joins the Lighthouse Security in Montana that is asked to go and check the missing crates in Uganda. Mia and Devlin are surprised to see each other. 10 years has matured both, but the misunderstanding still causes trust problems for them. There are many players who might be in control of the missing food crates. After Mia is kidnapped, Devlin, Todd, and Cole work together to find Mia and the persons responsible for the missing crates. This is a great second chance book with characters you can relate to and love.
Maryann Jordan has done again, a book full of compassion, regrets, suspense and of course love. Ten years ago Devlin and Mai had it all going for them but Devlin had a crisis and forced Mia away. Now working across the world Mai is working in a refugee camp as a food director finds that food is disappearing. Lighthouse Security Montana is asked to investigate, enter Devlin. After the heartbreaking way they ended it takes a lot of soul searching for Mai to forgive Devlin. The quest now is to find out who is stealing and selling food from the refugee camp and hopefully to get to a place where Devlin can make it right for Mai. Love finds a way. Thank you Maryann Jordan for another great book in the Lighthouse Security series.
Second Chance love, falling in love at a young age having it last 10 years and loosing it for 10 year's is a HEART Break.
Devlin is another Fantastic book from The Lighthouse Security Investigation Montana series.
Maryann Jordan has hit it out of the park once again, she really knows how to draw you in and keep you going to the end, no matter what time it is...lol
The story of love between Devlin and Mia aka My Mia is definitely a love story for the books.
The Friendship to Family relationships between these men and women that work for LSIMT is also a fantastic part of the story.
This book is wonderful as a stand alone , but I would definitely recommend reading all of the Lighthouse Security Investigation series.
Once again we are back with LSI Montana and this time, it is Devlin and Mia's story. Devlin is a beautiful tale of a second chance romance and how distance and time apart can still bring us to find love again.
Devlin and Mia met when they were in High School which bloomed into a sweet romance but unfortunately things happened that caused the two to separate. After 10 years they are reunited across the Globe where it feels like fate is stepping in. Mia is still hurt and sad from their separation but Devlin sees this as his chance to make things right. Of course while all of this happens there is danger and mystery swirling around and they need to fight for their second chance.
This one is a 5 star read for me and in my opinion can be read as a standalone.
Maryann always writes a great story but this time she wrote and absolute heartbreaker.
At the age of sixteen James Devlin met his true love in Mia Duff and they spent the next 10 years loving one another and achieving their goals His was to become a Seal something he achieved but when he saw the heartbreak death in service caused he did the unthinkable he broke Mia's heart and walked away He has spent his entire life been a protector and knowing that he would never find someone to replace her Imagine his surprise when his latest mission in Uganda brings her back to his side and the feelings are just as strong Can he keep her safe Can he and his team crack the case and will she ever forgive him for breaking her heart You will have to read to see how this tangled web resolves itself
Devlin is a protector at LSIMT. He is a strong individual who protects his team and way of life. He is a lone wolf as he let his one love get away. Mia is a worker in an African refuge camp. She notifies corporate that food supplies are missing and Devlin, Todd and Cole are sent in as security and to track down the missing food and who is involved. Both are shocked to see each other after ten long years. Each chapter weaves their story and you won’t want to put the book down. As things get increasingly dangerous can their new found relationship survive? Can they survive the danger that is coming for them? What an amazing story Maryann Jordan! Well written, great characters, and a story that is so realistic you feel right there with them. 5+ stars.
Devlin is book 4 in the Lighthouse Security Investigations, Montana series by Maryann Jordan and another great addition.
From the ages of 15 to 25 Devlin and Mia were inseparable until he left her walk away and broke both their hearts. Another 10 years has passed, Devlin, Cole and Todd are being sent to Uganda to get to the bottom of the smuggling of food and supplies threatening the refugee camp. What he doesn’t expect is the woman he has never stopped loving, Mia, working at the refugee camp. With all the heartache, trust issues, secrets, kidnapping, betrayal, can they find their way back to each other and have a second chance at love? Read on to find out…
I voluntarily read a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Devlin and Mia were high school and college sweethearts and had been together for ten years. Then he screws up and deeply hurts her and in the process himself and she walks out on him never looking back. Ten years later and on the other side of the world they run Into each other. Mia has been carrying the hurt and anger all this time and he has been carrying hurt and guilt for just as long. Will she allow him to explain what really happened back then and why? Can she forgive him and get past the hurt and anger? When they are getting close to finding who is stealing food, she gets kidnapped. Can Devlin and the guys find her before anything happens to her?
He’s always regretted that one major mistake he made, and when chance presents him with hope he can redeem himself, he’s grabbing it with both hands. If you love your second chance romance then you are going to love this latest LHIM read. I love it when the big tough guy decides his girls future because of his job, then years late finds that his equally dangerous job is the only thing that might save her. Mia did hold Devlin back for a wee bit, but when you’ve never recovered from the love of a person you just end up having to concede, and move forward. As usual a great story from this author, with plenty to keep you engaged and a host of suspects, and a nice twist on the villains.
I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Devlin and Mia have a past, can they have a future? Ten years after Devlin did what he thought was the right thing, their paths cross in Africa. Devlin and his comrades are there to help root out suspected food smugglers but can he and Mia re-kindle what they’ve lost.
It’s another wonderful book by Ms Jordan. As always her characters are crafted so well it’s almost as though they are friends or people you might meet on the street. There is plenty of romance with an undercurrent of danger. Another great story of one of the Keepers which leaves the reader wanting the next in the series to come sooner rather than later.
All Devlin could think to himself when he saw her on the other side of the the world, My Mia. That's what he called her back when they were together and planning their future. He thought he was doing the right thing, she couldn't believe he left and 10 years later can they start again. This is another wonderful book in an amazing series. As always in Ms Jordan's books there is enough action to keep the reader guessing and as always the solution to the mystery of why or who keeps you wondering who is causing the problems is just out of reach until the end. With a happily ever after we can look forward to the next book in the series.
What a wonderful story. Devlin broke Mia’s heart and his own in a misguided attempt to let her have a happy, fulfilled life. Years later, they reconnect and the chemistry is still there but there are trust issues to be resolved. Will Mia be able to forgive Devlin? Will they have a HEA? There is also danger lurking for Mia, as she is in the middle of a conspiracy to steel food. Will Devlin be able to keep her safe? Will they figure out who is stealing the supplies? This is a well written and thought out story. I was given an arc but this is my honest review. Read this and the series for an enjoyable entertaining experience.
