Well, let's see... I have a lot of ideas and energy, so I do all kinds of stuff. I like making sculptures, doing kooky photography, writing these crazy books, gardening, building and fixing things.

In terms of literature, I grew up reading at a very early age. There are lots of writers whose work I have devoured: S.E. Hinton, John Bellairs, Robert Cormier, Judy Blume, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, from Jack Kerouac (who was a friend of my grandfather), Evelyn Waugh, Truman Capote, Edward Gorey, Tennessee Williams, Paul Bowles, William Burroughs, Patricia Highsmith, Yukio Mishima, Charles Bukowski, Raymond Chandler, Virginia Woolf, Christopher Isherwood, Aldous Huxley, Thomas Mann, Flannery O'Connor, James Baldwin, John Rechy, Scott Fitzgerald, E.M. Forster, Huysmans, Celine - the list goes on.

I studied literary criticism and philosophy, but half way through college I transferred to an art school and changed my focus to filmmaking and painting. I got tired of theory and ideas and wanted to make my own stuff.

Unfortunately, writing is a compulsion and I just go from one book to another. Once I finish, I forget about the last book and am totally focused on the new one. I guess setting up this page and putting the books on Amazon is to reluctantly share them. It is the process I like. Once the book is finished, I really don't care about it.
