The Story of Gold is an eye-catching book full of fun facts, trivia, and the history of humans' relationship with the metal. I like how photographs of artifacts are superimposed on illustrated backgrounds, emphasizing the reality of each piece. Lots of fun for flipping through and great for kids who like trivia books, The Story of Gold imparts gold's origins on this planet and looks at how it has been used over the millennia.
