One taste of her darkness, and I'm pucking addicted.
Lola Kemper has no idea the monster who tasted her in the garden maze was me—the ruthless goalie for the Blackridge Ravens college hockey team.
I'll do anything to get what I want—and I'm starting with revenge.
Now? I'm just craving more.
The way she trembled in the garden maze.
How she screamed so pretty in my chamber.
Those desperate moans when she broke for me.
But she thinks she can play both sides.
Here's the thing about being a Reaper—I don't just win. I destroy.
And watching her test my control with other monsters?
That just makes this hunt deadlier.
Her father's money won't save her.
Her music won't save her.
She says she'll never submit.
Well... guess what, baby?
I've already carved my name into your soul, and when I claim what's mine, you'll learn one thing—
Screaming, "Don't you pucking dare," was your first mistake.
Your second?
Thinking I'd ever stop.
Don’t You Pucking Dare is a dark hockey romance that can be read as a standalone. It contains themes that may be triggering to some, please check the TW list inside of the book.
I couldn’t get into this book as much as book one but it still held my attention for a while. There were a lot of blank spaces where the scene would change mid sentence and I kept having to stop, falling more out of the story, go back and make sure I didn’t skip something. Very jarring. I wasn’t on board for all the unprotected sëx with the different partners, nor the non showering afterward…I know I know, it’s only a book but still, gross!!!🤮 I did like the fact that our h was no wilting violet. Nope! She gave as good as she got for the most part and didn’t sweep issues under the rug. Our H was a mix of alpha and simp. I’m not sure if I loved or h@ted him. Sadly, I liked Jack the most out of the villains! HE was unapologetically psycho! 😭 there was no guessing and I kinda rooted for him to get the girl, I know, random! All in all an okay read. I liked book one more but still a good addition to the series.
An "accident". A man crippled. A brother's promise. What one must do to get payback leads to a dark, twisted plan to take everything.
Lola is a scholarship recipient who's mother is hospitalized and never knew her father. She becomes a pawn in a game of vengeance. Unbeknownst to her, hockey player and Reaper pledge, Brody, has his sights set on her for his plan to take down her father.
Stalking, spying, and teasing, Brody slowly drags Lola into a game they both want to win. He makes his move, believing he'll break her. However, Lola turns the tables and goes after him.
As they both play this dangerous game, outside forces twist and pull them around, using them both for their own amusement.
If you like your romance on the dark side, these two twisted lovers have a story to tell.
good. it felt a little long and i feel like it was missing something. I feel like there needed to be a climax scene more in the middle. ( well more then the dude reaching his goal and her almost dying, i needed it to be more find each other and love build up scene) like dude is using her to initiate to get into a secrete society she kinda knows that but is too attracted to him to care and then starts trying to deceive back…. like idk and then we the big closure and end of the plot happened the book kinda just faded out and wrapped up from there. but the spice was pretty spicy and the main dude was def morally grey and demanding
This book felt like cozying up on the couch, savoring that first sip of tea, while smiling into the fire built from the skulls of my enemies that I’ve spent all day slaying.
I do need to say that the author should fire their editor. There were too many wrong word usage, bad grammar, and jarring scene jumps. Give a girl a warning before you switch buildings!
I feel like this book wasn’t well written or edited, I think I found some typos and sentences that didn’t make sense. Overall I wasn’t too invested in this book. Lola was independent and hard working, of course affected by her past trauma and Brody was using her until he fell for her. Nothing too groundbreaking with the overall plot, and the characters did not help me fall in love with the story
This didn't really give to much information on her dad, and it was all about using people and money. The sex was off to me too. It lacked something but don't know what and where... I felt like some of the storyline was choppy.. 18 yrs & up.. Swearing, sex, poor family values, killing...
This was one I could not put down!! I loved the story loved the revenge and then how twisted they both could be or how dark one was unaware they could be. Absolute perfection!! Love this book so much!
This was a good read. First few chapters were a bit slow, but it built up to a nice plot twist! There were several sayings recycled with in two paragraphs though.
