The War Doctor stuff with Jonathan Carley has been some of the best content Big Finish has released in the past few years. It's a shame really they didn't do these experimental and insane stories while John Hurt was still alive. I've been excited about "Fallen Heroes" audio since its announcement, and now it's finally released!
Agent Smith and Tickson are investigating the murder of a mayor in the remote coastal town of Oakview on a neighbouring world. But it quickly becomes obvious that something far more sinister is going on. Who's The Doctor? Why is everyone scared of him? Who were UNIT? Perhaps some mysteries should never be solved.
Alfie Shaw has written an incredibly clever, unpredictable and surprisingly depressing 3-hour story that has a brilliant mystery that constantly keeps you on your toes. Jonathan Carley and Daisy Ashford is a duo I fell in love with quickly; I'd love to see more audios with these two to work together again someday. It's hard to talk about this story without giving anything away, but all the references, the contradictions, etc all make sense in the end.
Overall: It's an outstanding War Doctor audio that will leave you throughly depressed. 10/10

The Dead Sea - A fascinating crime noir style thriller. Nothing is what it appears to be. It’s an interesting premise, unfortunately it is shackled by the fact that The (War) Doctor is one of the detectives and so we know that everything is lies and nothing is real. The questions becomes what happened and why and who did this? It’s the same problem with doing this kind of story in a long running sci-fi TV show. It may be a good story, but how much suspension of disbelief is necessary to enjoy it? (3/5)
Unit 26 - Fractures are appearing all over the place as the investigation and the narrative progresses. (3/5)
Yesterday is Tomorrow and Tomorrow is Today - YES! Finally! No more dead naming The Doctor! Finally, he is recognized as The Warrior! And he doesn’t act / isn’t acting like just another incarnation of The Doctor. This is The Warrior! The man The Doctor chose to become in hopes that it would end the Time War. This is EXACTLY the type of story, this narrative of dark choices, that I’ve been waiting for and hoping for since these War Doctor stories began. The is the kind of stuff that The War Doctor Adventures should be like. Thank you! (5/5)
This release also included some of the usual interviews with cast and crew as bonus features. Even though the averaging of these “stories” or “episodes” would come out to be not quite a 4/5, I’m boosting it up because (1) it is actually all one story and (2) the finale of the whole story really, really NAILS the idea of what a War Doctor, aka The Warrior, story should be. So 5/5 it is.

Doctor Who meets X Files.
It starts out well and reminds me of the River Song release where she is a detective on a Skandinavian planet. However, by the end, it sadly goes back into "known territory".
I liked the moral ambiguity and how the Doctor struggles with the Warrior and for parts of the story, you really wonder if he is the villain in the story. That was done very well.
Entertaining story, which becomes quite dark in places.
