Ty Caulder. Hott, successful, and single...Located in Orlando, Fl, Ty is a confident photographer. Ty is famous for his boudoir shoots, where woman practically throw themselves at him...but who wouldn't? This man is smokin. Ty was burned by love when he walked in on his long tine girlfriend, with another man in their bed. And from that day forward, Ty vowed against love and to never let a woman into his hear. That is...until Stella.

Stella Avery. A medical coding workaholic that has been celibate for over a year. Stella comes from a broken home, raised by her father, and works her butt off to support herself. When Stellas roommate, Zoey, invites her to meet the new man in her life, Pierce, Stella was not expecting to be drawn to his best friend, TJ.

Stella reluctantly agrees to become Tys assistant and the two of them strike up an instant friendship... I mean there is no denying the chemistry between the two of them. After a night of drinking...Stella goes back to Tys place and the two of them have a quick and steamy encounter...ending Stellas celibacy. Ty is upfront and lets her know he just wants something casual, he can only give her one night and she says she can handle it. QUE the hott, steamy sex! Rules are made and boundaries are set, but we all know rules are made to be broken, right?
"Your voice melts me. Your touch instantly excites me. Sex with you is perfect, and the simple things of being your friend, hanging out with you, laughing, those are the best parts."

On a daily basis, Stella sees other women throw themselves at Ty. But when upcoming rockstar Jason comes to Ty for album covers, we see Ty getting a little jealous. This is when both Ty and Stella begin falling for one another, though Ty never says it, his actions are a completely different story. He says that no girl ever stays over and sleeps in his bed, but he breaks his own rules with Stella. Stella has her own boundaries set, but she allows Ty to cross them.

I went through a whirlwind of emotions... I seriously wanted to slap the hell out of Ty then walk over to Stella and pinch her on the arm and hope that she would wake up and smell the coffee. And although I knew there would be a cliffhanger ...I read and fell in love with each character, got my hopes up and BAM....end of the book. Thank you for that rollercoaster ride and awful cliffhanger.

Regardless of the cliffhanger...I loved and couldn't get enough of Captured Secret !!!

OH MY GOODNESS!! PLEASE GO OUT AND BUY THIS BOOK AND READ IT!!!

Ty Caulder is a man who grew up with loving grandparents who showered him with love and support and his house was the one where all of his friends wanted to be. He thought he found the girl of his dreams that he would love forever and they would grow old together. He fought for her when those who loved him said she was not the right one and he always stood by their relationship. He had the rug pulled out from under him one day when he forgot something at home that he ran back to get. He walked in on his girlfriend in a compromising position with a neighbor and his whole world stopped in that moment. He built a wall around his heart and changed his whole outlook on love and life. He developed a shell of himself and that's all that people were allowed to see.

Ty's best friend Pierce was there when all of this happened and knows exactly what Lacey did to him. But Pierce has stood by his side over the past few years and now he's the one who has finally found love with a girl named Zoey. It's time for Ty to actually meet his new love as well as Zoey's roommate, Stella.

Stella comes from a broken home. Her father raised her and her sister after her mother walked out. She has not had an easy life. She studied and worked throughout high school to help support the family, tried to put herself through college but ended up quitting to support herself. She is now a workaholic and a book worm. She has struggled her whole life because in her mind, she has never been enough for someone to love, including her own mother. But she has a beautiful soul and loving heart that she desperately wants to give to someone and build a life with.

And let the roller coaster begin! Stella is instantly drawn to the man who walks up behind her and his voice immediately warms her. Ty wants her from the first night he sees her. He just wants something casual, but Stella wants a relationship. He says he can only give her one night and she says she can handle it. He says that no girl ever stays over and sleeps in his bed, but he breaks his own rules with Stella. Stella has her own boundaries set, but she allows Ty to cross them.

Their love is not perfect and it's not pretty - but it is REAL. You will go through a gamut of emotions in this book: happy, giddy, cheerful, sadness, heartbreaking, etc. But it is totally worth it to go on this journey with these two people. April does an amazing job writing their chemistry! The emotions drawn out are real and palpable. The way she develops their relationship is so believable and true to real life. Their insecurities are something we all face on some sort of level - and trust is something that is hard to truly give without any doubt. We all have our own inner demons that we battle daily and to trust someone else enough to let our guard down and let them see our insecurities and be vulnerable is truly scary. But this is a true representation of everyday love.

The cliffhanger is insane! I literally was like "Holy Mother of Pearls! What's next?" Thank goodness the second book is already out and I immediately started reading it. But here is my thoughts on why it is the perfect ending to this book - their journey has been a roller coaster so far and most of their emotions have been shoveled deep down (love Stella's shoveling methods) and kept only between them. We had to expect at some point that all of this would blow up in their faces - that's life - it's going to come out at some point. And finally it did - in an extreme way but everyone close to them found out at the same time. It was crushing because in heated moments some things are said that really shouldn't be but that is also life. It's a lesson that we all go through and we have to figure out how to pick up the pieces and continue down the road we want. A lot of times these explosions cause crossroads in our path and we have to decide which road to take. I think this is why its perfect. The cliffhanger leaves us at a crossroad!

Read it! It won't disappoint! Be prepared to fall in love with Ty and Stella as well as April Raynne!!

Stella is a workaholic. She works full time as a medical coder, taking on as many hours as she possibly can in order to free herself of debt and buy a new car. She has very little in terms of a social life even through her best friend and roommate Zoey is constantly on her for all of the hours she works. Zoey has been her best friend forever. They were both going to go into the medical field when they graduated from high school, but financial difficulties forced Stella to drop out of nursing school before she was able to graduate. Now she’s working a job that pays her a fraction of what she could make as a nurse, and she puts in more hours to boot.

When Ty walks in on his girlfriend straddling another guy, his life is changed forever, as is his outlook on love. As a photographer, he has access to hundreds of beautiful women, something he takes advantage of on a regular basis. But when he meets Stella, the friend of his best friend’s girlfriend, he feels an instant connection. The group of friends are celebrating Emily, Ty’s assistant, leaving his employ to open a studio of her own. That night at the bar Ty suggests Stella comes to work for him part time as his assistant for some extra money, she decides to go for it.

What happens next between the two of them can only be summed up as one hot, torrid, roller coaster of a love affair. Ty wants to keep their “relationship” on the down low. He doesn’t want to let anyone know that they are hooking up and that all it is between the two of them is sex, that’s it. He doesn’t do relationships. Stella originally agrees to the arrangement because frankly, it’s been awhile since a man has touched her, so she’s willing to put aside her feelings in order to have Ty in her life, at least in a physical capacity. Problems arise when Ty can’t deal with the feelings he has towards Stella; he’s broken all of his rules with her and feels himself getting too close. He refuses to let his heart be broken again, and he’s just not ready to trust. Stella is tired of having to feel like an outsider in their group of friends, not able to act like a couple with the man she has such strong feelings for. They have no physical contact around others, she feels like a dirty secret.

I absolutely loved this book. I was hooked from the very first page and the romance and heat between Ty and Stella was sweltering. My biggest issue was the cliffhanger. But not just the cliffhanger, the book ends at 91%, the rest is a peek at the next book! I felt like I felt like I had been brought to the brink of bliss, only to have my partner walk away right before the deed was done. Don’t get me wrong, I’d read this book again in a heartbeat, but had I known that it would end as abruptly as it did, I would probably have waited for the next book in the series to come out first.

That said, I’m comfortable with a 4 ½ star rating. I absolutely adored the relationship, however messed up it was at times, between Ty and Stella. I could have done without maybe one or two of the scenes of the back and forth break up and make up, but the heat between the two of them totally made up for it. Ty Caulder is definitely a book boyfriend to end all book boyfriends and this one gave me a serious book hangover for a couple of days. I’m counting down the days until the next book in the series comes out, which will hopefully be sooner, rather than later.

Captured Secret is the story of Ty – a sexy Orlando photographer who’s had his heart ripped out of his chest and stomped on by his ex-girlfriend. He is famous for “boudoir shoots” and has a reputation of leaving ladies with more than just the photo negatives from the shoot.

Our heroine is Stella – a medical coder who works way too many hours a week. She has a best friend, Zoey ,who has a new guy in her life (Ty’s BFF) and invites Stella to go to a going-away party with her to meet him. This is where Stella and Ty cross paths, and it’s lust at first sight for our heroine.

~*~ Spoilers Ahead ~*~

I enjoyed reading this book so much, that I found myself rushing to write my full review immediately after I finished reading. I wrote short summary for this book to tease a giveaway on my blog, but can't wait to share my full review with everyone now!

I was rooting for Stella and Ty to break down the walls and fall in love from chapter two on. The sexual chemistry and complete interest in one other for them was so obvious.

I wrestled between both loving and hating Ty throughout the book. How could you keep sleeping with someone with out ever sharing even one kiss? So frustrating!! The way he kept running hot and cold toward Stella was enough to give you whiplash. Stella seemed like such a strong, smart, and independent woman that I was so sure she would snap out of it and show some backbone a lot sooner than she did. The author had me screaming at our heroine to get it together, and tell this jackass what for!

The climatic scene where Ty slurs his accusations and biting remarks at Stella had me literally sitting on the edge of my seat. I was certain she was going to slap him at any moment. (There's always book two...) ;)

I can't wait to read book two, Captured Love, and anything else this author releases in the future.

Well done, April Rayne!

Five, well deserved, "Krissy Stars" for Captured Secret.

4.5 stars. Ty and Stella meet through their mutual best friends and from there, it's a battle of denying their strong attraction and growing feelings because Ty doesn't do any of that stuff after having been burned in the past. Stella is an interesting character because at this time in her life, she is doing all the right things, working long hours, taking responsibility for herself and avoiding careless decisions although once upon a time she lived rebelliously. Ty is a photographer whose assistant position is now vacant and has hired Stella to fill that spot. They have a very natural and easy friendship that forms and Stella is fairly understanding of the limitations, even if she wants more. Ty, on the other hand, for all of his great qualities and his potential to be an amazing boyfriend, falls short of being truly amazing by his own choice. No amount of convincing by Stella would change his stubborn mind and that was Ty's biggest downfall, his inability to see differently when it was obvious that he was choosing to be lonely but Ty has to go through his own thought processes. The secrecy of their so-called relationship added another complex dimension and oh boy, when things come out into the open, there are some words that just cannot be unsaid or taken back. I really felt for Stella because she deserved so much more than what she received and needed a break somewhere in her life. I never hated Ty because he was honest, I just hated how he wouldn't face the truth to himself and as a result, did some really stupid things that hurt Stella in the end. I'm ready to see Ty make some changes in the next book.

Captured Secret by April Raynne is one of those books that draws you in from the first page. It follows the story of Stella, a young woman who works entirely too much and has all but given up on love; and Ty, a young man scorned by a past love and who decides that he wants to never let another woman into his heart. Stella works as a medical coding specialist who works at least 12 hours a day, and lives with her best friend Zoey. Through Zoey and her boyfriend Pierce, Stella is introduced to Ty and instantly feels the attraction. Ty is amazingly handsome and there isn't a woman alive who doesn't want to get close to the handsome photographer.
Through the interactions between Ty and Stella, you see what begins as an innocent friendship, once Stella becomes Ty's assistant at his photography studio. Soon though, both of them can't escape the feelings that come from such closeness and fall into a whirlwind of romance. Stella realizes that she can't give Ty what he wants, and yearns for more, while Ty won't give Stella what she wants which pushes her away.
April Raynne captures such soul into these characters that you can't put the book away, you have to see what happens next. And while you're hoping for them to finally give in to the base emotions both of them are feeling, you also hope that they keep the deep emotional bond that was forged while they worked together. You love the characters to the point that you wish you could make both of them realize just how important they are to one another. As great as this book was, I can only wait for the chance to get my hands on the sequel to Captured Secret and see just what the future holds for these two lovers.

I seriously need to start reading about these books before my happy finger does all of this one clicking. These cliffhangers are going to kill me or at ,eat make me act like a crazy person. I cannot take it.

This book was so intoxicating, it had me on the edge of my seat. I was so mad at Stella for not having what I would consider a backbone. When a man says he only wants casual and although he shows you his sweet side when you are alone does not mean you can't be nasty when he continually tells you that's all he can give you. Grow some balls and make the man jealous, make him see what he is missing, something...anything.

Now to say that I didn't fall for Ty would be a bold face lie. I did and I fell hard just as Stella did. I mean regardless of what he said he did have this super sweet side, he did seem he had feelings for her but boy he gave me whiplash. He infuriated me, drug me in, hypnotized me, made me want to lick him and kick him.

Just when everything was crazy and I thought maybe they would figure it all out BAM!!! It's over. And to make it worse I get a glimpse of the next two chapters in the next book which I read like a idiot only to get sucked in more. Now I have to wait until September, that is just so heart breaking.

Now with that rant don't think the book was bad because it was completely opposite. It was awesome. Seriously it was but it's just those freaking cliffhanger That kill me and then you have to wait what seems like forever for more. Oh kill me now!!!

I could not put this book down, I was reading every chance I got and that still wasn't enough. This books was so full of emotion, one minute I was be laughing out load and then next minute I'd be getting mad or hot. Ty and Stella are great, Ty has been burned, bad. Stella isn't looking for a man. Their attraction is instant when they meet, but they fight themselves the truth. Ty is in need of a new assistant, Stella already works way too many hours. But when Stella's best friend Zoey insists she go to work for him her mind is at war with itself. How can she work for him when being near him makes her crazy with want? Ty tells Stella he doesn't do relationships, or flings. As they get to know one another and realize they are a perfect fit things get complicated. Can Stella really accept only what he gives? She insists to him, and herself, that she'll take whatever he's willing to give. Ty knows he needs Stella way more than he lets on. Will Ty over look all the past and lay his heart on the line? I cheered for them the whole way through the book. I can't wait to read book two and find out if these two stubborn asses will come to their senses and realize they are made for one another. Awesome story, April did a fantastic job writing a story that is so full of emotion that it just pulls you in and you can't get back out! I wish I could rate this book above 5 stars!

An ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

OMG I am so in love with this book! I devoured it and couldn't turn the pages fast enough! Captured Secret is the story of Ty and Stella. Let's start with Ty. He is a sexy tattooed photographer who has had his heart broken and stomped on before. Therefore, he no longer believes in love. He has one night stands and is contempt with wanting nothing more. Stella is a quiet and reserved girl who has had her share of pain in life. She however wants love and a relationship. Ty and Stella meet through mutual friends and the chemistry between them is scorching! I really enjoyed the awesome build up of tension between the two of them. And when they finally get together....wowza! I love the journey April takes us on as we see Ty and Stella try to figure out what it is between them. There were times I just wanted to shake Ty and tell him to let Stella in and break down his walls! I need the next book NOW!!! I can't wait to find out what happens with Ty and Stella. April did a fantastic job and Captured Secret is going on my list of favorite books! It is so much more than just your everyday romance. The writing is amazing and I most definitely recommend this book to anyone!

It all started with one extremely HOT teaser, which then led to an even hotter cover.

Rock hard body, perfect face, and a broken heart that needs the right girl to come along and put the pieces back together. You know you love those guys. You know you secretly pretend to be the one doing the mending. You know you love reading and witnessing the roller coaster ride it takes to get to that oh-so-worth-it happily ever after.

Ty Caulder. You love him, you hate him, you cry for him, you want to bitch slap him and in the end you want him to be your next book boyfriend.

Commitment. It can be a scary word, but for Ty it is the epitome of fear. This fear consumes him and turns him into the type of guy that us readers tend to leach onto and fall extremely hard and fast for. Yes, I fell hard, and I fell fast.

I admit, I bought this book because of a teaser that had a quote from the story that sucked me in and I am so glad I did. I loved this story, it kept me frantically turning the pages and then left me wanting more....a lot more.

Cliffhangers suck, but not when the next book is just one click away. Ty, I'm coming for you.

So what can I say about this book? I absolutely loved this book. You have a guy who got burned in the worse way ever, so he decides to become a man whore and never have a relationship again. He just wasn't counting on Stella coming into his life. Stella is a workaholic and has no time for a social life. Her best friend, Zoey starts dating Pierce, Ty's best friend, and they start all hanging out together. Ty is also a very well known photographer looking for an assistant, they all talk him into hiring Stella. What they didn't expect to happen was them to hook up, Stella starts feeling things for Ty and he hides his until one night when he decides to get drunk and their little secret comes out for all their friends to find out. This does end with a cliffhanger but she does give you a little bit from the next book. I can't wait to dive into the next book and see how their story plays out!

Loved this book! I love stories where people meet, friendships blossom and then relationships start. I love angst. I love when the "love" isn't so mushy and beautiful that it is just disgustingly sweet. This book has all that. First you have Ty who is just sexy as hell and you can tell there is so much more under his tough exterior, but doesn't want anything serious. Then you have Stella who has been through the ringer and just wants her happily-ever-after. They have great chemistry and hit it off right away. But what happens when lines are crossed?

My only complaint about this book? It has a major cliffhanger! If you hate cliffhangers, I would definitely wait to read this book. I will say that it is an amazing read and very HOT!

Why can't books start and finish in one anymore? I'm getting so sick of series when it's about the same people. I also don't quite understand all of the 5 stars. It wasn't bad, but I've read a lot better. Stella just didn't do it for me. She was okay but nothing great. I actually think I'm giving this a harsher review because of the ending. With 10% left I though for sure it would wrap up. Oh no, that 10% was the first two chapters of the next book (with grammar errors). And I couldn't stand everyone referring to each other as bro's and then Ty started calling Stella the Bain of my existence nickname of "baby girl". What self respecting woman wants to be called baby girl?

Cliffhanger Warning, but overall a beautiful, dramatic Romance.

First there's a cliffhanger that slaps you in the face. I didn't realize the book ended until I saw the playlist.
Now that's out of the way, I'm in love with these characters. I wanted to slap both Ty & Stella "lovingly" upside the head and tell them just to open the floodgates! I would say from chapter 21 until the end of the book keep tissues on hand and a pillow to bite, because it's one shell on a rollercoaster. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go find out what happens in the 2nd book/half!

Good story line. Author has a nice style of writing good flow able to keep the reader engaged throughout. Looking forward to book 2. I just want to mention that I also am getting frustrated with excessive sequels (series). I want to read a story start to finish. By the time part 2 is released, I have to go back to the first book to get reacquainted with the story. This takes away some of the enjoyment of the reading experience. Kind of makes me long for the good old fashioned paperback.

I could not put this down! I loved how it went slow then fast. I was on a roller coaster with Stella the entire time and I have been in her shoes.

I know what she's going through and it hurts a lot.

I don't like how Ty will not be honest with her and just help her understand what he is going through!

Yes he's sexy and great at sex but why not kiss ? I think that vital and he is just up and down all the time.

I enjoyed the book and hope that the second book comes out soon

I only give 5 stars if I will re-read a book...and this one was THAT good. It had all my favorites--beautiful man (inside and out), scorching sex, depth of a relationship (they actually had conversations outside the bedroom (go figure), interesting supporting characters, and a girl that turned herself inside out for his love. Now if the boy can just wake the hell up in book #2, it'll be spectacular.

Slow build up and then the cliffhanger. Could you give the reader a little warning. Now I am trying to search the web when the next book will be published. Ty has been hurt in the past and doesn't believe in love. Stella is stuck...she works all the time and has a limited social life. She falls for Ty; but does he really fall for her? I'm hoping for a love affair with Max's in the next book.

When two broken people get together, what do you think happens?

This is a story that will get you hooked even if you kinda know what it going to happen next, so you really don't want to put the book down. Although there are parts that are slow, most of the book will leave you wanting to read the next chapters.

All in all, it is a good read, but needs more editing, in the sense of misspelled words, or repeated words.

Oh my goodness. This book has a lot to offer. Ty Caulder has so much appeal and yet he is an asshole! He's not the most forward of assholes, but he is one. Stella Avery should have put her foot down sooner especially after hearing more and more of her thoughts and her childhood. I kept saying to myself, she deserves better than to be treated like this. Great things happening in this book. I anticipated the ending, but it still caught me off guard. Diving straight into book two.
