The System just keeps throwing new experiences at our MC and his friends. For example, our antisocial lone-wolf hero Kasp was awarded the title of Head of the Settlement by the System. However, he has no intentions of being a leader.
Every day the System gets more and more difficult, with new dangers showing up constantly, along with tremendously aggressive beasts. But those complications come with new possibilities too. And even if human civilization was totally destroyed recently, now humanity might have a ray of hope…
But what does any of that matter to Kasp? He is a ghost. He doesn’t have to worry about anything. So who does?
Not a good addition to the series. Alot of filler with very little plot progression.
Book 3 in the series seem to have lost its way some. The story was convoluted where the main character had random thoughts that were confusing in trying to understand the content to the plot line. There's a lot more humor that really didn't feel humorous. Most of the story was filler, with very little plot progression. The main character just seemed to drift along with random actions that didn't seem to have very much consequences to the plot line. It felt like the book was rushed to try to continue the story. There started to be major plot holes in questionable logical decisions. Characters were introduced and then forgotten, major characters from book two we're just side notes... Very discombobulated plot line that needed editing badly.
If this were an anime I would call it an almost self contained filler arc, it was good but I personally think the first two books were better, if you liked those you will like this one though. There was some minor character development and one big thing but it just felt like not a lot went on. The last chapter of the book was very promising but it felt promising in the same style where authors do something to get you hyped then resolve it quickly and go in another direction to throw you off. The author does put a lot of effort to stand out in this one in some creative ways compared to other books in the genre so that makes it interesting. Like i said if you liked the first and second one you know what you're in for and will enjoy this one.
I received a review copy of this book. I'm not sure where this story is going, but the main character has definitely expanded his operations, and he's taking those expansions seriously, if the end of the book is any indication. Glad to see that of course, but there wasn't nearly as much of him levelling up and taking out monsters much higher than him as there has been in previous books. I think the shift in focus is probably a good thing, but I'll wait until I get to read more in the series before I decide that. For what it's worth though, I did like the book, and definitely look forward to more books in the series.
The main character turned into a sleeze bag wanting slaves and harems!! He went from likable to unlikable in a heartbeat maybe that's just how the writer entended the book to go but will never read anything from him again
I enjoyed watching Kasp and crew advance and look forward to seeing future developments in the settlement and series. The rappers were a little unrealistic though.😂
