This book by Joe, changed my perception of how important it is to sell yourself.After reading this I at one year ranked top sales in my job!!! I was hooked on selling, selling, selling!!! I recommend this book for everyone to read.I think they should have middle school and high school's have this on a "must read" list!!!! I benefited solely! !!
Who I am today is very much influenced by this great book. Perhaps it offers the same message as any other similar books on personal improvement topic, but I know I had fallen in love with this book ever since I picked it up in a book fair in my campus and read a couple chapters of it. I agree a great deal with what Mr. Girard says in his book, about how to be a confident person and look like one, etc. Before I read this book, I already had a mental picture of what kind of a person I want to be, but this book provides (almost) the WHOLE complete picture. Thanks Mr. Girard for writing this amazing book. It sure does help shape me into who and what I am today.
There are countless books on selling. Joe Girard teaches us that before we can sell anything else, we must first sell ourselves. He should know; he has been listed in the Guinness World Book of Records for many years as the World’s Best Salesman.
How to Sell Yourself is written in plain English. It is easy to read and very informative. There was no need for research because Girard lived it. However, he did research it so that he could include countless real world examples of how to sell yourself.
We give this book all five stars. The author helps us to understand what it takes to make sales. The book is an instruction manual and a book on improvement in oneself. We think you will like it.

every book I've read by Joe Girard is always worth a spot in my library and always worth reading more then once. this book is in my best of the best of my collection. amazing book right here! this book is worth reading and worth buying! when you're in the store buying one for yourself, be sure to buy one for your best friend! with the people you love the most... do them a favour, buy them a copy of this book! it'll be a gift that'll keep on paying them. a gift that keeps paying you dividends. amazing book! check it out!

Книгата е солидна, информативна и определено отваря очи за много неща. Колкото и да не ни се иска ние продаваме... себе си, при това всеки ден. Хубаво е да знаем как да го правим добре и Джо Джирард има какво да ни каже.
It's not about the skill of selling, but more about the mindset, attitude you need to have or develop in order to sell successfully. Not recommended people who already are confident about themselves, thinks positively, or those who have read the How to Win Friends and Influence People. P.S. I skimmed halfway through the book.
Great Book to read and powerful messages to ponder and practise
I loved this book from the first page till the last. It is lucid and extremely handy for people across all age, profession and nations. I wish every person to do read this book. I am sold ten times over by it.

A bit too much old school for me. The expressions nearly knocked me nuts and I couldn’t understand his analogies. A couple of chapters inspired me but they were the minority.
Read it nearly one month back in the preparation of becoming something else from my own world. To try the newer version of myself or the version of myself which the people around me are expecting. I succeeded in achieving it but not through this book. But it really made a mark of before reading this and after reading this , again not because of the influence which this book made on me but because of the change in myself which happened exactly while reading this. I didn't like this book but , hey, that's fine it may inspire somebody out there. Give a try, Man!

If the best way to sell were the high-pressure tactics he endorses, this book would be helpful. Since this isn't the best way to sell, the book (and all of Girard's stuff)is basically flawed.
