She should hate him. She wants to hate him. So why is she hoping he’ll walk through the door again?
Tessa Lawson loves her job at The Red Lion, her cozy London pub steeped in history and held together by warm lighting, stubborn regulars, and stories whispered through the floorboards. She’s perfectly content with her life—until a forgotten cellar is unearthed beneath the pub, revealing the skeletal remains of a World War II soldier and a letter that was never delivered. Suddenly, flickering lights and cold spots aren’t just quirks of an old building—they’re signs that someone is still waiting to be remembered.
Enter Sebastian billionaire developer, professional thorn in her side, and the last man she’d expect to help solve a ghost story. He doesn’t believe in spirits, sentiment, or second chances—until he finds himself captivated by Tessa’s fire and drawn into the mystery haunting the pub’s foundations.
As late-night texts turn into lingering glances and a decades-old love story unfolds around them, Tessa and Sebastian must decide what’s worth holding on to—and what’s finally ready to be set free.
Some love stories never die. And some romances are just getting started.

I spent a great deal of time skimming and jumping forward. I’ve read other books by this author but this one just bored me. The main characters were nice enough but didn’t inspire any interest, & at the end the whole board meeting felt unrealistic (why wasn’t the man arrested?). Read if you must
This is such a touching story from all angles: wonderful characters and how they develop, the ghost story and it’s connection to the characters, the ghost buster twins and their key role in the unfolding story… loved Will and Rebecca and how they influenced the living characters… excellent story telling and writing
I love this author because she writes with clarity of subject, uses well defined characters, and her plot lines are well formed. What's not to love about a British pub with history spanning decades. Plus this one has a ghost! The story had me in tears at times but mostly smiles. I recommend reading this as well as the rest of this series.
From beginning to end this story is hard to put down. Will the pub be saved or not? Will the ghost find closure? Will true love win over greed? A must read.
What a Fabulous Read! So many fascinating thread’s throughput this warm and delightful story! Remembering Will and Rebecca through decades of lifetimes is quite remarkable.
I love it. Such a warm and exciting story. Buildings really do have memory. Some places you walk in feel like home. Others not so much. From enemies to love. Can't get no better than this. Thanks for a wonderful adventure.😁
I truly enjoyed this tale of love torn apart and somehow transcends time. I liked how the ghost piece that played such a large part of the original series was incorporated into this book with a new twist.
A nice story with a good flow. A bit too much repetitive descriptions of the evolving feelings of the main characters. Gets tedious to have to keep wading through the same descriptions. It just becomes unnecessary filler. Enjoyed the storyline for sure.
there are stories, novels, Novella’s and Epics that change readers’s lives. The stories tiptoe across hearts and minds. Love can transport through time and space. This story matters more than one knows.
