I let out a loud laugh. “Ah, and is there a big vampire problem in New York?” Carter suddenly leaned in close to me, his face inches from mine. “Bigger than you know,” he whispered.
A successful businessman with an intimidating exterior, Carter Hayes has no problem getting what he wants. But while his life of luxury and privilege may seem like a paradise, Carter holds a dangerous secret that faces exposure when he stumbles across a woman he can’t resist.
Dating has never been a priority for Ellie. The only thing she’s ever wanted is a quiet life with no surprises. All that changes when she is approached by Carter Hayes while attending an event with her best friend.
Not only is Carter’s taste in women like nothing Ellie has ever experienced, but his mysterious past quickly threatens to tear them apart as dangers beyond her wildest dreams surface.
Carter and Ellie soon realize that their love for each other may not be enough to save them from the dark underworld Carter can’t escape.
3.5 ⭐️ (I really wish goodreads worked on .25 increments 🫠)
I always love a vampire book! Mix vampires and BDSM and I'm here for it. Definitely 50 Shades meets Twilight and then a personal twist. While I liked the FMC, the MMC wasn't fully my cup of tea. But the side characters are really strong and I can't wait to get to meet them more in the coming books.
Just finished this book! Loved it. When I started reading this book I was reading the 3 other books. This book definitely kept my attention so much, that I put a pause on the others. Getting ready to start book 2 tonight. Mrs Cleveland definitely has a future in this crazy realm. Looking forward to future reads.
This book has lots of potential! Despite the errors and typos, I still enjoyed the storyline. Always happy to support new authors! I loved the 50 Shades/Twilight references, putting the two themes together produced an enjoyable read. I would recommend this book if you loved the dark romance of Twilight and the power dynamics of 50 Shades of Grey.
this book has sooo much potential. I really enjoyed the storyline and it was a pretty fast-paced read for me.
While the storyline was great, the book itself really needs to go through a round of editing. I found some sentences going from first to third POV. “I sat in the corner of Ellie’s room as he watched her.” There were also grammar mistakes and errors throughout the entire book 😩
I can definitely see a future with this book regardless but man, oh man 😥
