Fractured is the story of two sisters Elizabeth and Robina Grime, who have a happy childhood until Robina breaks her sister's heart and they never speak again. Many decades later, Elizabeth is in a nursing home and is visited by her sister’s solicitor, who informs her that she is the beneficiary in her sister’s will. On leaving he hands her a bundle of unposted letters addressed to her, from her now deceased younger sister. With hesitation she reads the letters and the anger she felt for her sister, soon disappears and the void in her heart, is filled with regret and sadness as she realises that they would never meet again. Robina's two sons are angry when they discover that their mother has left all of her money to her estranged sister, Elizabeth, who they had never known. After an argument they too become estranged and history repeats itself. Fast forward 20 years and they meet up again, when they are residents in the same care home. Their reunion does not go as expected and there is a twist at the end of this story.
