A vampire with a curse, a fairy with a broken heart, and a threat to their world - it’s A Vampire’s Fairy.
Viola is called in to help find the source of continued attacks on the vampire kingdom. The king’s son, Marco, is to work with her. The catch? It turns out they’re fated mates.
This isn’t going to work for either of them. Viola watched her first mate die and has vowed to never love again…and Marco? He is cursed and refuses to put anyone he loves at risk. Better to be alone.
But the bonds of fate are hard to deny, and their time spent working together helps them find not only the answer they seek, but also the courage to love in the face of loss.
This novella was a fun read. It is book three in the series and I read it as a standalone. Personally, I would not recommend that. There isn’t enough time to go back over world building done in the previous books and so we’re plunged straight into the story. I still highly enjoyed it and absolutely recommend it - but read the other books first.
It’s an open door spice with a medium burn. The story deals with grief and loss, parental figures using their children for their own purposes, and fear of moving forward.
If you’re a fan of spicy PNR/fantasy and just want something snack-sized to help bump your reading stats up for the year, this (and the other books) is what you need.
