Inside Anarchy, the strong take what they want. It’s the most secure prison for feral alphas on the continent. No cameras. No guards. No laws.

And I’m the first female omega to be locked inside.

Taught that I’m sinful and broken, I’ve been forced to suffer my heats alone. A penance—so maybe, one day, I would be worthy of good alphas. But one mistake destroyed that fragile bargain, and they dropped me down here—a touch-starved omega trapped in a prison of beasts.

I should have died the first night. But instead of being torn apart, I found something I never believed I would have—mates.

Traded from saints to sinners, I expected damnation, but Phantom, Karma, Vandle, and Sin don’t care how much atonement I’d paid before they saved me.
Instead, I was claimed. Shielded. And they are teaching me worship like I've never seen.

Their chance at freedom is coming soon, but Anarchy devours what is sacred, and my pack has a problem: in a prison where omegas are currency, our pack has two.

And we have ten days to survive in a prison full of feral alphas who would kill my mates and keep me caged here forever.

This book is a MFMMM why choose. This book has a double omega dynamic to it, but the male omega is not with the alphas in the main story. It can be read as a standalone but exists in the larger PoisonVerse Universe!

You will never catch me turning down a PoisonVerse novel. I’ve been in love with this particular universe author Marie Mackay cultivated ever since she published Havoc Killed Her Alpha and I have no doubt I’ll ride or die for it until Mackay (and her contemporaries) get tired of playing in the sandbox and move onto another.

If you’re already a fan of Mackay’s work, Anarchy hovers somewhere in between the Shattered Omega series and Havoc Killed Her Alpha in terms of darkness and intensity (I’d say Psycho Alphas is more intense, more violent, and spicier than Shattered Omega, so it doesn’t come into play here). Ironically, this book isn’t especially spicy–while this is a book that does get spicier as it goes on, the spice scenes themselves aren’t very explicit or gratuitous. There is a great deal of violence from the very start, but it’s less violent (and less descriptive) than Shattered Omega. The religious/cult trauma and the trauma from being imprisoned creates a great deal of tension both within and without the characters and propels much of the plot.

At a length of 501 pages, there does seem to be an issue with a lag in pacing during the middle third of the book, where it seems like a lot of talking is being done but not a lot of doing. While this portion of the book isn’t devoid of matters like character development and plot movement, it isn’t consistent enough to keep engagement with the book high. I could feel myself start to get a little detached. I have a feeling Mackay and Lewin were using these pages to introduce characters that might be more important in future books, and that’s fine, but it did result in what’s usually called “filler material”.

The book does end really strongly, with a fantastic last 30%. We get more PoisonVerse lore, some special guests, a really good dose of suspense, well-earned revenge, taking down some enemies, and what looks like a pack headed towards their HEA. 3.5⭐️

SPOILERS AHEAD SPOILERS AHEAD

Firstly, after reading i cannot wait for a special edition because I desperately want this on my shelf. I also want to thank the authors because before I found them I still thought omegaverse type books were restricted to wattpad and Tumblr. Imagine my surprise when I found authors that made thrilling plots and an amazing universe to accompany such a beastiel as well as smutty genre.

I loved that we went full circle from Shattered omega where Vandle was first mentioned. I'm also ecstatic about the new designation introduction! It feels absolutely perfect the way Sigma was portrayed and built into the bones of the universe. I dont know if any of the authors involved have planned it but with the addition of Sigmas I can really envision a great big physical or social war that either breaks or truly reforms not only the institute but also how society views designations. I know there are so many books already but as a reader, I feel like there's so much more in store for us! I'm on the edge of my seat for a second book to Anarchy or at the very least, another book in the poisonverse! So yeah, thats how this book made me feel. Xoxo

Just want to say, definitely pay attention to the trigger warnings if uncomfortable. Not too graphic for some of them but better to be safe!

This was another winner for me in the PoisonVerse! I couldn't put it down once I started (unless life made me: boo!). Crescent was the sweetest with a perchance of pickpocketing keys which I loved. The whole dynamic and past of Sin, Vandle, Karma and Phantom was great and enjoyed how their relationships got better and stabilised as the book went on. Sin and Crescent are just too cute together. I loved Karma's slight unhinged craziness, phantom's seriousness bordering on being the parent figure of the pack and Vandle's relaxed nature when it came to addressing the "keys" incident.

I would love to learn more about the library pack and maybe get a glimpse into Liam's fate in the prison! Can't recommend this new addition to the PoisonVerse enough and looking forward to the next one!
