Combines more than two hundred craft projects from twelve of the author's best-selling titles into one reasonably priced book perfect for energetic crafters looking for things to make or do. Original.
My kids love this book. Many ideas, different, unrelated ideas. However, as with any craft book, you may want to look through it before purchasing - you may have the ideas in other books, already.
The one craft idea we loved was making Frosty Welcomes - filling a fun shaped bowl with water and placing natural winter items in the water such as berries, holly leaves, branches from fir trees, etc. Then, place a cup in the center, pushed into the water, taped to the sides and set outside to freeze. Once frozen, remove the cup and tape. Viola! - you have an outdoor candle votive to place on outdoor furniture with a candle lit when company comes over!
I checked this out of the school library looking for some art ideas for my grade 8/9 kids and there were so many cool ideas that I didn't even know where to start. I realized that a lot of the projects are aimed more towards elementary students but that's okay because I teach 5/6 art too. The pictures are fantastic and the ideas are really great. I can't wait to try some of them in the classroom. A lot of these ideas would be great at home as well.
