Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes, and this one did not disappoint! Abena & Senya are both complex, likeable characters who go through a satisfying journey in this book. If you've read the rest of the series, you've gotten to know Abena especially, and it was so interesting to see what makes her tick and see her meet her match in Senya. I loved getting to see more of the setting in Ghana and more of the characters from the previous books. And the love scenes are HOT! I devoured the whole book in one day!!!

Why would you have relations with your childhood sweetheart, have a real yet fake marriage to get divorced a year later? Is that all? Nope you have a no fall in love rule clause in this arrangement. Loving from afar and now in personal seems lie a head rush. Both parties make unrealistic expectations but have to work it out before before they get busted. Good drama. A lot of adventure for this couple.

Awesome learning culture, practices, and Royalty of Ghana. Great chemistry with Abena and Senya. These two tore the sheets, walls and any other surfaces near by. I loved reading this book. I definitely recommend this book.

Worth the wait
I had been waiting for Senya’s and Abena’s story and I it was well worth the wait. This story answered so much for me and gave me a wonderful view of Abena’s life. Hearing her story made me appreciate her character so much more. The love Senya has for her is just amazing. He was able to break into her heart. This is an amazing love story.

When a man loves a woman
What a way to end this series!! I absolutely loved learning about this culture, the people and customs. This is a story filled with love being patient, kind, long suffering, sacrificing etc. I really want to explore Ghana culture more because of this series. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Hot African Royals🔥🔥🔥definitely a Re-read
From the very first book in the series I could not put down these stories about these hot alpha males who are fiercely protective of their women and country. Even though they are domineering they are also have compassion and are not afraid to yield to the women they love. Senya was the brother from another mother who ultimately took his rightful place as a prince. Even though he joined the family as a servant he proved himself to be loyal smart confident and compassionate . Abena looks and acts strong on the outside but on the inside she is a frightened little girl. She desperately wants freedom and independence from her domineering father and is willing to do anything including breaking tradition and becoming an out cast and denying her love for Senya to get it. senya who has loved her for years and was patient and willing to fight anyone including her father to for her was not letting her go no matter what she said. I’m so glad love survived. Their love story is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I would also like to thank the author for giving me a small insight some of this particular country and it’s traditions also for telling the story of the women around the world who are victims of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Well done 👍🏾 I look forward for more from you.

Possessing Healing through Love
I didn't like Abena. From book 1, I just wasn't feeling her. As book 2 came along, I was like 'ok' I kind of get it, yet my like only slightly wavered to a more favorable position. In this book, the way she rejected, in more ways than one, Senya, I can say my dislike for her was back to square one-almost a solid dislike with no reason to waver. However, as the story truly unfolded and it's found out her father is truly a disgraceful human, I wavered and felt sorry for her; yet, I still wouldn't say I like her, just understand her ways more. Nevertheless, this was a good story.
I love a good Alpha Man, yet Senya was a Beast (in the most intense way possible, which in this case was a good thing). His loyalty from book 1, up to this book, was admirable; we all could use a Senya in our corner.
Senya becoming Prince and having to endure the harsh acceptance, or lack thereof, from the people, was heartbreaking, even if he is a strong man (physically and mentally). His love for Abena is one to be regarded. His passionate, yet Savage love making was FIRE😏. I was pleasantly surprised at how composed and although tense, healthy his mindset was after all he'd endured in his life. I strongly think his brothers King Kofi and Chief Adom helped to heal his wounds like no other truly could. I loved there bond. That Adom gives no qualms about anyone trying to hurt his loved ones and I loved it.
I loved Ella from the beginning, so to see that she had no interest in male egos or seeing her husband risking his life for the woman who almost took him away from her, and saying he wasn't doing it (as she should😏), made me love her even more.
Maya thoroughly impressed me in this book. It was good to see her healed and doing better bc baby girl was a complete mess in book 2🤦🏾♀️. I loved her no nonsense advice to Abena and how she gave real, solid advice; no beating around the bush.
I loved the cultural aspects in all 3 books. Many times we only hear of certain cultures by way of news and it's usually not accurate. I enjoyed it in this series and how in depth the author explored it. I'm excited for her new series.
Overall, I loved this series. One would think of Kings and Chiefs and Princes, as ones to not care for others, but in this series the author does a great job of showing how much the love for the village people really means to these 3 men and their wives and I adore that. Great job to Ms. Louise Lennox on another great book. Way to finish this series. Would love to see a short update on these families. Maybe soon🤔. I'll be waiting😉.

Ms. Louise Lennox allowed us entry into royalty by introducing us to Ghanaian Kings and Princes and their African culture through her African Romance, Sexy Sovereign 3-book series. A world steeped in tradition and rituals that may seem archaic to the modern but paramount staples for Ghanaian people.
“Possessing the Prince”, book 3 and final book in the Sexy Sovereign series, explores the complicated relationship between Prince Senya T’ogbe and Abena Owusu. Prince Senya has been King Kofi’s right hand man and protector all his life but recently family information is revealed that turn their relationship upside down. Prince Senya has been in love with Abena Owusu, daughter of high ranking Ashanti Chief, for years. Abena’s father has promised her hand in marriage to some powerful Ghanaian men to pay off a historical debt but Abena doesn’t want it. All her life she’s lived to please her father and her people never herself. She has distance herself from everyone, living with a lofty attitude, only confiding in Prince Senya.
Abena orchestrates a scheme to have Prince Senya marry her and stay for one year, to get out of the arranged marriage. Prince Senya is all for it because he’s in love but Abena only sees it as an arrangement to escape her father’s marriage arrangement. But is that really all of it? Abena professes at every turn, that once the year is over, she us leaving Prince Senya. Prince Senya will do everything he can to show Abena she will never want to leave. Tension is high and feelings are volatile as they both attempt to navigate this arrangement that’s real for one and a facade for another. Ms. Lennox has outdone herself. She has introduced us to African royalty, culture, and traditions. She has provided us with some hot and steamy love scenes that keep us hot and bothered 💋.
Building complex characters which draw your compassion and frustration, I will add.

An amazing end
This book was a perfect close to this wonderful “Sexy Sovereign “series I felt a special love for Senya from the first book in this series . He was so protective of both his brothers even when many did not know his true connection to the royal family
I loved the development of the chapter and his true love and concern for Abena. I also enjoyed how Abena’s character was slowly revealed across the three books. These two were perfect for each other. They were both fierce and didn’t back down from what they believed in. This book was pact full of not only a great deal of passion (like the first two books) it included suspense, action , and unexpected surprises that had me saying “ umm I didn’t see that coming “ 😅
AS I stated in my review for book two, this series really should be considered for a Netflix series, it’s just that good I would love to see these characters and their stories come to life on screen. It’s my opinion that it is just as good as. The Bridgeton’s, and I’ve read all eight of the books from that series.
One small note : this book did have a few typo’s however not enough to take away from this beautiful story. Which was an amazing end to this series❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Like the majority of people who've read the previous books, I felt a little irritated by Abena in the first book but intrigued by her in the second book. And I was ready to read her story in this one, especially because it has the marriage of convenience trope aka one of my faves.
Abena and Senya's chemistry was really good and they were cute but for some reason, I didn't connect with them as much as I thought I would, I thought this one was going to be my favorite book from the series but sadly that didn't happen. I enjoyed reading about them but I didn't love them, Kofi and Ella remain my favorites.
What I loved reading about was the previous couples' interactions with Abena and Senya. Seeing how Ella, Kofi, Maya and Adom were there for them was precious.
Probably my favorite part of this series is how much I learned about Ghana and its story and culture. It was enlightening and made me interested in looking more into it.
Overall, it was a good conclusion to the series and it was wonderful to see how everyone else was doing.

3. Choosing the Chief (book 2)
The audio narration by Uduak Inyang was delicious 😋. Lennox writes mostly multicultural novels, and the use of “cock” and not “dick” kept throwing me. I’m not used to hearing it in my Black romance novels. It’s not a term often used in Black slang 🤷🏽♀️. It’s a small, petty detail. But it had me looking sideways 👀. Even with the “cocks”, the book definitely deserves 5 stars ⭐️

I read this for reading competition.
1.5 but rounding up for being a romance novel in Ghana, revolving around Ghana prince and the different tribes in the country. I thought it was really fun to read about a different culture and learn about the language, clothing and food. I could not stand the shallowness, the grammatical issues, the woman becoming knocked up and giving up her entire career and education so she can have birkin bags.... I just... it was not my thing.

This is my favorite book of the series. Senya was so powerful and loving. Even though he wanted to let Abena go in the end, I'm glad he listed to Maya. Learning about the lives of those young girls was very sad. I'm glad they got out that terrible life. I hate when a good book ends. I wish that there was more to Maya and Adoms book ( marriage)

I totally loved and enjoyed this book. The story was fantastic and I couldn’t put it down. The characters were amazing and the storyline kept me hooked to the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I enjoy a little action and I was here for it. Senya’s love and devotion for Abena was unmatched. He was a true alpha male that was determined to protect his wife. I enjoyed the other characters being in this story as well.

Loved this book. Romance with a message there is a wonderful plot here. The healing and awareness this story brings! This couple fought against it all to live their love. The author did a wonderful job of peeling away the layers of two characters who were in the background earlier in the series.
