I thought I didn’t need anything in my life apart from my bakery and my girls. But after a disaster leaves my bakery barely standing, I’m taken in by the one guy I’ve always thought of as a playboy. Luca Wilde is as charming as the tabloids make him out to be, but when he asks me to play along with the role of fake fiancé, the lines begin to blur, and I struggle to see what’s real, and what is fake.
Luca.
Since the moment I met Rose, I knew I was in for a world of trouble. She’s got a fiery attitude and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Including me. Now I’ve landed myself in trouble with my father, and she seems to be the perfect fit to bring down with me. I just hope she forgives me if this blows up in our faces.
Thank you to the author Robyn Reed, for kindly sending me an ARC in exchange for a review.
I really enjoyed this story with Rose and Luca, but found myself getting frustrated with Rose not truly giving into her feelings for Luca for so long! Once she gave in, I loved their relationship dynamic and his help with the bakery.
Overall two likeable characters and I hope there will be a third in the series to read more!

I could not put this down and devoured it in a day 🤭 I absolutely loved Rose and Luca’s story and I have to say even though I really enjoyed Robyn’s first book ‘Missed you’ I absolutely loved ‘Need You’ and it’s my favourite ❤️
At times though I wanted to shake rose though throughout the book but don’t want to give too much away of the plot, but the characters were good and if you enjoy fake dating then this is a book for you !
Wow this book was everything I couldn’t put it down, Read it all in one evening! the first book was really good but this second book was something else! Loved Rose and Luca had all the feels can’t wait for the next book!
Wow not sure what to say, I’ve been in a book slump but since reading this omg. I loved every moment! The characterisation, the build up, back story. The romantic parts the spicy bits. If you love a love story with spice this is for you.
Well I was fortunate enough to be an arc reader for this book and I am so, so happy I was! I haven’t read anything from this author before and now I know I’m well and truly stuck with this series.
It had 99% of my favourite tropes, small cosy town, alpha male, spice!!! From the first chapter to the last I was just entranced with this story. The slow burn burns, but you get all the feels!
There was not a single thing I disliked about this book. It was a perfect cosy read. And now I have another book boyfriend to add to my collection!
Fake engagement? Check. Small town with more drama than a reality show? Double check. A golden retriever of a man who falls first and falls hard? Oh, honey—Luca is pretty picking out couple’s Halloween costumes in chapter two.
Need You is the delicious chaos that happens when a feisty redhead with zero time for nonsense agrees to play fiancée with her millionaire friend—who, by the way, is clearly one forehead kiss away from proposing for real. The banter? Top-tier. The forced proximity? Absolutely unhinged. The quote? "LUCA, WE BOTH KNOW YOU AREN'T COMING ANYWHERE NEAR MY LIPS UNTIL YOU STOP TALKING SH*T."—chef’s kiss. That line alone deserves its own Goodreads shelf.
Robyn Reed nails the friends-to-lovers slow burn with just enough sexual tension to power a small city. And yes, it’s part of an interconnected series, so prepare to spiral into the rest of them like the emotionally compromised reader you are.
If you’re into sweet guys, stubborn women, and tropey goodness wrapped in witty dialogue and romantic chaos—Need You is your next book hangover.
As an ARC reader for this book, I was stoked to read the story. I think the narration was well done, and I also picked up a few English slang words. I fell in love with the friend group because they seemed like a fun lot and very supportive of her dreams and goals, too. And Luca! Luca is exactly the dreamy man you would want in your life. The tropes, the storyline, and the characters are all thought out and appropriately placed. All in all, I enjoyed the story, but maybe there could've been a bit more?
After a very long book slump I have managed to catch up with reading this book. I loved seeing Luca and Roses relationship unfold but felt annoyed with Rose for being so closed off but I understand it. She wanted to be guarded due to Lucas playboy ways and from her past. Luca is sweet, caring and thoughtful (most of the time) but he isn’t great with words sometimes. If you want small town, fake engagement, golden retriever MMC, he falls first and spice this book is for you.
