Rate this book
Booth Sadler is at a fork in the road. The plan was to leave his hometown, spread his wings wide, and be the chef he’s always dreamed of being. That was the dream. Instead, loyalty has overridden passion, making it impossible to abandon his family’s restaurant. Hiding behind cunning wit, those closest to him would never suspect he’s regretting his choices. When a raven-haired beauty catches his eye and seems immune to his charm, the last thing he expects is her to be enemy number one. Or so he thinks.

Alessandra Argiros strives to smash through glass ceilings. She has no time for nonsense or dimple-flashing chefs. In the small town of Sutton Bay in search of answers, she tries to avoid distraction—and the man determined to make her life difficult. But the same man who drives her insane quickly turns into an unlikely ally. And so much more.

Striking up an unexpected connection full of fiery passion and unshakeable trust, Booth and Aly agree on one thing: it’s temporary; and they’ll part ways when their time is up. So why does saying goodbye sound more painful as each day passes?

3 stars – thanks to Ronnie Mathews & Love Notes PR for the eARC 💌

This one was kind of a slow simmer – not sizzling hot, but not entirely bland either.

Booth Sadler gave up his big-city chef dreams to keep his family’s restaurant afloat. Now he’s stuck in Sutton Bay, flipping omelets instead of Michelin-star menus. Enter Alessandra Argiros: fierce, focused, and absolutely zero interest in dimple-flashing chefs. They meet, sparks fly, and next thing you know, they’re snowed in together (literally) at his family’s place.

I have to admit, I kept waiting for the fireworks, but it felt more like a few polite sparks than a full-blown bonfire. Alessandra is all goals—boss babe energy, Greek-food references, and zero tolerance for nonsense. Booth is golden-retriever sweet, cracking jokes to hide how torn he is between his restaurant legacy and his own aspirations. Watching him juggle that guilt felt real, like seeing someone wrestling with family expectations in slow motion.

Their banter had its moments of shine. Alessandra’s eye-rolls at Booth’s cheesy lines made me grin, and Booth’s persistence—“I’ll keep trying until you crack a smile”—was awkwardly adorable. But sometimes the “will-they-or-won’t-they” felt stretched out, like waiting for steam to build when the pot was already full.

There are scenes that pull at the heart: Alessandra confronting her past, Booth watching his family rally around him like a cozy blanket, and those rare quiet moments when they drop the facades. “Let me take the wheel for a while,” Booth says—and I actually felt the weight of him offering to carry part of her burden. It’s sweet, even if it happens a bit too quickly for two people who started out at war.

The “enemies-to-lovers” vibe was real, but the “lovers” part didn’t land as hard as I hoped. Their chemistry exists, but I never got that “aha” moment where I gasped, “Yes, they belong together.” Instead, it was more like, “Okay, you two are nice.” The tension is there—lots of icy stares and simmering glances—but the payoff didn’t feel as juicy as the setup.

On the bright side, Sutton Bay itself is a character: snow-covered streets, warm kitchens, and family dinners that genuinely made me wish I had a Greek pastry in hand. The side characters—Booth’s siblings teasing him, Alessandra’s sporadic cultural references—added flavor, even if they sometimes overpowered the leads.

In the end, it was an “okayish” read—comforting enough that I didn’t mind staying in Sutton Bay, but not exactly the kind of story I’ll be texting everyone about. If you’re craving a gentle, low-stakes small-town romance with a dash of spice and family feels, it’s forgivable to give it a shot. But if you need heat that scorches and emotions that hit like a tidal wave, this might leave you wanting just a bit more.

alessandra means everything to me and i will hear no bad press about her EVER...

the cover of this book should've told me to read it in the winter but i didn't, my reading experience wasn't any worse i just think this is a great winter romance. the sadler family has stole my heart over these past three books and i cannot wait for baby florence to get her story, i'm hoping for dex with absolutely no real reasons why. this book is about booth, the chef of the restaurant, and aly, the new owner of said restaurant. the two of them kinda get off on the wrong foot but their connection and romance is just so amazing that i fell in love right along with them.

there are a couple more side plots going on and i feel like they were done well. sometimes side plots go on for too long or they don't get fleshed out enough but i enjoyed what they brought to our characters. aly has some family stuff and booth has some career stuff but they deal with it together like the amazing couple they are and i love them. aly and booth kinda spark up a casual relationship in this book and you just know from the beginning that they are perfect for each other. i adored watching them fall in love and be their whole selves with each other!!

this is for the girlies who liked fire line by maggie gates or people who like theo & winter (reckless) or kennedy and isaiah (play along) !!

I really didn’t take a lot of notes with this one, I was just so invested in their story!

💭 what I loved about this one:
- that supply closet scene 🤭
- how Booth fully respects Aly, and just wants to help lighten the load
- Booth’s relationship with his niece (Lottie)
- “Yes chef” 🫠
- seeing them (especially Aly) slowly give in and shift her perspective on what they could be, as their chemistry & connection grows 🥹

There’s always something about Ronnie’s writing that mesmerizes me in ways I can hardly describe. I refuse to believe this is her first series. Every single character has such a strong hold on my heart.

“All We Need” is a new favorite. Booth and Aly are everything I could ever ask for and more. Their banter, their communication, and the way they truly understand each other’s feelings and needs were just incredible.

I had been waiting for Booth’s book from the very beginning, and I knew he would deliver everything I hoped for: the fun, charming brother with big dreams but also so much going on in his head. I loved being inside his mind, getting to know his thoughts and emotions on a deeper level, and falling in love with him while rooting for his happiness.

But for me, the one who truly stole the show was Aly. She’s such a delightful character: bossy, powerful, and amazing throughout the entire book without ever feeling arrogant or unlikable. She was an absolute dream to get to know. I loved her vulnerability and the way she allowed Booth to see it.

This series is a must-read for anyone who loves stories about found family. I adore how it explores grief in such a deep, raw, and beautiful way.

Forever a favorite. Definitely.

Booth was just perfect, and I loved him. He was so funny, flirty, adorable, sexy, and committed to everything he did. The golden retriever MMC, who was always quick to make light of any situation.

The goofball of the family who was always in everyone's business. However, there was a lot more hidden beneath the surface that he didn't let anyone see, especially his family. He held on to a lot of guilt over wanting more for himself, feeling like he was abandoning his family and betraying his father's legacy. This led to him being stuck doing a job his heart wasn't into, just going through the motions.

His predicament was due to his grief, which didn't let him feel like his dreams were worth giving any importance to. What he didn't see was how it was slowly chipping away at him and ruining the thing he was once truly passionate about.

I just wish this part hadn't been dragged until the very end to be resolved and his dilemma was also given more importance throughout the book. It kind of felt like his situation was overshadowed by everything that was going on with Aly. So to me, that sudden clarity he got immediately after reading his dad's letter felt rushed after reading about his conflicts for the entirety of the book.

Alessandra was strong, focused, driven, and took no bullshit from anyone. Absolute queen behavior. She was the perfect black cat to Booth's golden retriever personality. Her reasons for uprooting her life and coming to Sutton Bay kept me curious, and I really enjoyed the whole mystery revolving around her initially.

Deep down, though, she had a soft, vulnerable side that she hid too well from everyone. One that was afraid of rejection. Booth's consistent presence, his concern for her, and him looking out for her without expecting anything in return and despite her behavior towards him eventually allowed her to open up to him.

Although she could take on absolutely anything by herself, I liked how she let Booth share her burdens and asked for help and support when she needed him to ground her. This was a huge deal for someone like Aly, who was a vault and thrived on control and keeping her emotions on a tight leash. And with every part of herself that she revealed, Booth never judged her and only seemed to want more parts of her.

I did enjoy the "enemies" part in this 'enemies-to-lovers', even if it was mostly just from Aly's side and was very short-lived. However, it was the "lovers" part I wasn't completely sold on. Although I liked how persistent Booth was despite Aly being dismissive of him, I just didn't feel the spark between them. It felt like something was missing, and I can't exactly pinpoint what. Also, the switch of them going from not tolerating each other to what happened at the cabin felt too soon.

These two went from enemies to hooking up to falling in love, and while the hooking up part was hot, the transition of them falling in love didn't feel as monumental as it should have. I'm usually a fan of the back-and-forth that happens between characters, which builds the tension, but here I was just left confused because I kept waiting for something to happen that made me feel like, "Yes, this is why these two make sense together." It felt more like it was what was expected from the book, so they got together, but they didn't exactly fit as a couple.

I liked that initially there was this mystery regarding Aly, and I found myself getting intrigued with the little clues we kept getting to figure out her motives. However, after a certain point, the plot just felt like it dragged on, especially after the reveal. I did like the outcome of it all, but it felt like once the reveal happened, it was more telling than showing, and I wanted more of the showing.

This seems kind of random, but I also didn't see the point behind the subplot involving Kyle. I just kept waiting for him to resurface at a later part in the book, but that didn't happen. So his character's presence was just confusing and unnecessary.

The side characters were amazing. Booth's siblings and their partners were just so hilarious with how they teased him. I especially loved his moments with his niece, Lottie. They were so precious. I also loved how they all supported Booth in the best way without him even having to explain himself. That moment was just so sweet and wholesome. That letter from Ted Sadler just got me emotional and teary-eyed again. I also loved how, though they were initially wary of Aly and her intentions, the Sadler family slowly welcomed her into the fold. I liked the way she became a part of the girl gang. My heart broke for Martin Willis, but I'm so happy with how things turned around for him.

The spice was hot, with both these characters taking turns taking the lead. The way Alessandra took control and the way Booth complied was sexy. Love a woman who isn't shy to take charge. And I also loved the way there were times when she let go of her need to be in control and did as Booth asked. That understanding between them was something I liked.

That epilogue? I NEED ANSWERS!!! I was waiting for Florence and Dex to get together from the time I read Just One Moment, and now I'm really excited for their book.

Thank you to Ronnie Mathews and Love Notes PR for providing me with the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

All We Need by Ronnie Mathews
4/5⭐
2,5/5🌶️

This is the third book in the Sutton Bay series, but you can read it as a standalone! I was so excited to return to Sutton Bay and catch up with familiar faces. The story centers around Booth and Alessandra. Booth is a talented chef running the family restaurant, but he’s feeling frustrated because the new owner keeps shutting down his ideas. Then Alessandra arrives in town, and Booth is instantly captivated. He makes his move, but to his surprise, she turns him down right away. Turns out, Alessandra is the new owner.

Booth, the youngest of the Sadler brothers, is charming and flirty, and he usually has women swooning over him. But when it comes to Aly, his usual charms just aren’t enough! I admired his determination and how openly he expressed his feelings for her. Despite his confidence, he battles some deep insecurities, which makes his character more relatable.

Alessandra is such a fantastic character! She’s strong, sassy, smart, and independent. I loved her resilience and how she stood her ground. At first, she tries to keep Booth at arm's length since she’s only in Sutton Bay for a short time. But Booth is persistent, and eventually, she gives in and suggests a friends-with-benefits arrangement. Watching her grow throughout the book is incredibly rewarding. She begins to let Booth in, revealing her vulnerable side and learning to lean on him. Those moments melted my heart!

The banter between Booth and Alessandra is delightful, and I loved how she kept him on his toes. She’s a total queen, and he’ll go to great lengths to win her over! The community in the town is lovely, too, and Booth’s family moments were particularly touching. Alessandra’s parents are wonderful as well, and you can feel their love for her. Overall, this book is another fantastic addition to the series, and I thoroughly enjoyed every page!

My first of Ronnie’s but definitely not my last!
This is boom 3 of the Sutton Bay series but can be read as a standalone! 💖

I adored this book! From the very beginning I was hooked and absolutely fell in love all throughout reading! Alessandra and Booth were perfection 🤭 I loved both of their characters and loved the chemistry and banter between them! Aly is such a strong and independent woman and seeing that Booth didn’t try to tamper her character was awesome. Watching Alessandra slowly open up and finding out the reason she’s in town was the best. There’s sadness and hurt behind her strong walls and I loved seeing Booth be beside her every step of the way (even when she pushed him away- which was often!)
Booth was charming and funny! I enjoyed seeing him work his hardest to do what he thinks his late father and family would have wanted, but loved even more seeing him realize that his happiness is important too! 🥹

Overall, I loved my time with these characters and hate that I waited so long to dive into Ronnie’s work! I am so excited to backtrack to the beginning of this series and read more! 🫶🏻

Booth Sadler... I love you 💙 I have a thing for golden retriever MMCs and he was all that and a bag of chips. The flirty banter, the hot AF spice, and the chemistry between Booth and Aly made this so much fun to read.

Aly did not make it easy on Booth with her black cat attitude and her determination not to fall for his charm(news flash, didn't work). I actually really enjoyed the storyline and mystery surrounding her. I understood why she was doing the things she was doing.

Booth is the hott as hell, head chef at his family's restaurant, that Aly now owns. He was smitten from the second he laid eyes on her and his antics loveable personality made it easy to root for him. Of course, there is more under the surface of that jokester persona that we get to see also.

The last 10% had me so emotional. Ronnie trying to kill me with those letters! I was actually starting to worry about what was going to happen!

I am SOOOO pumped for Dex & Florence's story 😍😍😍

Tropes:
💙 Golden Retriever x Black Cat
💙 One Bed/Snowed in
💙 Dislike to Love
💙 Boss x Employee
💙 Small Town
💙 Friends with Benefits

4 stars.

"All We Need" by Ronnie Mathews is EXCELLENT! I really enjoyed immersing myself in Sutton Bay and the people of this small town. I have not read the other two books in this series, but I am going to now because of how good this one is. This story has everything: banter, spice, tons of emotion, flirting, family drama, a delicious-but-short enemies-to-lovers storyline, secrets, the breaking down of walls, and, of course, a happily ever after. Booth loves to cook, but never planned on "slinging hash" at his family's restaurant. When a tragedy strikes and his father dies unexpectedly, this is exactly where he ends up. He feels unfulfilled and wants to do more, cook more, cook differently, but he wants, needs to keep his family's restaurant afloat to honor his father's memory. Enter Alessandra, a headstrong, focused, driven woman on a mission. Booth keeps getting in her way, whether on purpose or accidentally. The dynamic between the main characters, Booth and Alessandra, is fiery! It is essentially a workplace romance between a golden retriever MMC and a black cat FMC who both need to learn to lower their walls in order to let each other in. They cannot STAND each other at first, but they are drawn to one another and cannot stay away from each other. UGHHHHH why is this such a good trope!? This makes their relationship so passionate and spirited, and it makes it all the more wonderful when they eventually get together (it is a bit of a slow-burn, so keep that in mind). Both of these characters are well-crafted and feel so realistic. I loved Booth, what a goofy sweetheart. I loved Aly, she is a strong woman whose edges soften over time. I loved all of the family stuff going on where Alessandra is concerned (no spoilers here, but it is handled really well!). I thoroughly enjoyed my time with these characters in this lovely town filled with winter wonderland vibes. Please read this if you can!

This book was everything and more! Ronnie is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Booth and Aly brought it with the banter, angst and spice that was making me hot!

Booth Sadler is the youngest brother and the joker. He is also head chef at his family’s restaurant, Our Place. Ran by his father and his best friend since they were all kids Booth took over when his father died. Come to find out Alessandra (Aly) is the new owner they have all complained about the past few month which Booth doesn’t know when he first lays eyes on her at the fall fair. There meet cute was hilarious and fun! I loved it.

Alessandra is a sassy and strong independent woman who throws Booth for a damn loop! She’s bold, unapologetic and a badass bitch but with a softer side that Booth pries out of her. What I liked most about Aly was that she was still flawed and vulnerable and made mistakes like we all do, no one is perfect even if we strive to be. Aly and Booth are hilarious with their quick wit and hot as hell chemistry. The supply closet will forever live in my mind rent free.

Booth and Aly know their time is limited and they make the most of it. There are bumps but their story is beautifully written. There was also a plot twist I didn’t see coming which added to the greatness of this book. I loved it and I can’t wait for the next book!

I loved this! This is my first time reading this author’s work and I can’t wait to read another. I only realized that I’m reading the third book in a standalone series about halfway in so I will be reading them in an odd order. But for those who read Elsie Silver or Lucy Score and felt like the writing wasn’t up to your standards but the story was—read this series!!

ARC review - I had another amazing trip to Sutton Bay! I have been so excited to read Booth’s story since reading book one, he’s so gorgeous and cheeky with lots of fun energy, oh and of course his cycling short collection and dimples 👏

Aly is a smart, independent woman who comes to Sutton Bay searching for some answers, I enjoyed her back story and learning all about her and obviously she couldn’t resist the dimples in the end 😉

When Aly finally realised how much she liked Booth I was swooning, they are so lush together, I adored the golden retriever x black cat vibes of this story. The banter and the sexual chemistry between them is something else 🥵 especially the NYE party (ikyky) 🔥

I already can’t wait to read Flo’s story…anything Ronnie writes I’m reading 🩷

What to expect:
🏡 Small Town
❤️‍🔥 Dislike to Love (He likes to annoy her more)
🦮 Black Cat x Golden Retriever
💼 Workplace Romance
🛌 Only One Bed
❄️ Snowed In
🧡 Found Family

ARC Review: All We Need- Ronnie Mathews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went back to one of my favourite small towns, Sutton bay, and I had the absolute best time. Whenever I read a book from this series, I feel so much comfort and warmth. Surrounded by love, friendship & all the perfect small town vibes.

‘All we need’ follows Booth & Alessandra, and when I tell you, I have been not so patiently waiting for Booth’s book since he was first introduced in ‘those two words’. He did not disappoint, I am an absolute simp for Booth Sadler, and would quite happily get his name tattooed on my forehead if he asked me to😂

From the moment these two characters meet, alessandra has this man on his knees for her. He would do absolutely anything to have her attention. Smitten from the very first time he lays eyes on her. If you were to look up the definition of black cat x golden retriever in the dictionary, you would see the names Booth & Alessandra. The tension between these characters was off the charts, and I was gagging for them to first kiss.

Booth Sadler, the man that you are. First off, he is a chef, so already he’s extremely hot. Add the fact he wears a bandana when he’s working? Catch me sweating over here. This man had me blushing, giggling, laughing out loud, sweating. I love him, and just knew I would be obsessed with him. He’s an absolute sweetheart, but also such an idiot in the best way possible.

Alessandra is such a badass and I want to be her when I grow up. Honestly she’s so smart, so strong, and knows how to have a man wrapped around her finger. Honestly, she could tell me to get on my knees and I would. She is so hot too.

When these two give in to temptation, the chemistry between these two is explosive. The storage closet scene? I needed a cold shower after reading that.

The romance, the friendships, the found family, the spice. Everything in this book was perfection. Ronnie has created an absolute masterpiece, and I’m so honoured to have been able to read this early. I honestly miss Booth & Alessandra so much already.

Thank you Ronnie for the e-arc, adore you and the stories you create💙

I really enjoyed this one! I have had Ronnie and this series on my radar since the release of book 1 and was excited to jump in. I really enjoyed the setting here and the pacing. I enjoyed our side characters and definitely plan on going back to read books 1 and 2. I really really liked Booth and Alessandra. I loved that he was so used to getting what he wanted from women until Aly. I loved the full circle of their story- the flirting, the realization that Aly was now his boss, the flicker of loathing, and then learning the real reason Aly was here, and watching them start to fall for each other. I loved how much Aly was a legit black cat. This woman had some CLAWS, but apparently Booth really liked getting scratched. The foreplay in their fighting was pretty hot. I felt like I was watching a tennis match- who was going to get the final dig. But ultimately, I loved watching our *grump* Aly lower her walls and let Booth in. This woman had reasons to not trust people. Hers had been broken in the worst way. And watching Booth finally realize that it was ok to chase his dreams and realizing he would be supported by that made me SMILE SO BIG. These two were just so perfect for each other and watching them realize that was very entertaining.

Booth has to focus on one thing and one thing only- his family's restaurant. He doesn't have time to think about the possibilities. He didn't before his dad died, and he definitely doesn't now. But then he meets a girl who he happens to see again months later back in his small town. None of his usual antics seem to work on her. But he is determined. Until he realizes who she is. What she has done. She is his new boss because she bought his family's restaurant. She is the one who has been saying no to all of the upgrades and who he thinks has been sabotaging their success. And even though he kind of thinks of her as the enemy, there is something about her that Booth can't walk away from. She has so many layers and claws, he doesn't even know where to begin. But when they find themselves in a close proximity situation, he realizes her layers are protection. He just needs to show her he can be a safe place for her to land. Their chemistry, this thing between them is too hard to deny. So they decide they can be together until Aly leaves. Booth decides he is going to spoil her so hard. He is going to show her how she deserves to be treated. He is going to treat her like the queen she is. He hasn't felt like this ever. But he can't think about her leaving. He can only think about their time together. Unless he is able to feel strong enough to take the first steps towards his dream. Because he realizes that his dream now involves Aly.

Aly has thrown her life savings into one thing. This random restaurant in a small town in Maine. She has done this because it is the only place she knows where she can find the answers she is looking for. But she is so scared this will all backfire that she makes no effort once in this new setting. She wants to hide away until she feels brave enough to take the first step. Then she meets Booth. Well re-meets him really. The man who threw out a line about his dimples thinking she would take the bait. The chef of HER restaurant who is making decisions without asking her. He infuritates her in more than one way. Why does he have to be so handsome? Why does he have to be so charming and insufferable? She keeps reminding herself to focus on her task. But then Booth and her find themselves sharing a cabin together unexpectedly, and Aly blurs the lines. It was intoxicating in the best way. And she wants more, but she has to remind herself again that she is leaving. But maybe her and Booth can enjoy each other's company while she is here. Which is how she finds herself opening up slowly to him, and telling him her past and showing him her secrets. He helps her get the strength to do what she is here to do. She when she sees a chance to help him reach towards his dreams she does it. She just hopes that he gets his act together and realizes that their love goes beyond being in the same city.

Like I said really enjoyed this one. I LOVED the banter between Aly and Booth. These two could DISH it, and then it was like a switch flipped and they would be naked LOL. I liked the switchup in the spice department too and how much Aly took charge there. But ultimately I liked how real these characters felt. They were very relatable in their fears and beliefs on where their life was going. It was cool to see each of them help each other to become more vulnerable so they could fly. I am definitely going to go back and read books 1 and 2, and am HOPING that book 4 is about Florence and Dex. Anyone else want to learn more about them?? I would definitely recommend this for a nice small town loathe to lovers situation.

I knew Booth’s story was going to be incredible and it was. He was everything I expected him to be and so much more. Not only is he the fun and easy to love of the Sadler bunch, but he’s also so thoughtful and loyal to a fault.

He meets his match when Alessandra enters his life. The strong, sassy and independent woman sure knows how to make him go mad, in every sense of the word.

Their story is not only about love, but it’s also about finding yourself after you spent so much time building barriers to protect you from trusting people and to avoid letting them down.
This book was a journey, and I’ve loved every second of it. And this is the third time a letter from Sadler Senior has made me cry.

The twist at the end was not expected, but I knew those two were going to be next. Now I need what had them storming out in a hurry and I’m sure Alessandra saw *them* kissing. Ronnie, once again I’ll put my money on it. I was right with Alessandra, so I’m hoping I’m right on this too!

I was and still am beyond lucky to have found Ronnie Matthews on Love Notes PR and have had the opportunity to receive All We Need as an ARC.

Another brilliant read written by Ronnie! Her writing style for the first 2 books were so easy to read and this was no different. Im a sucker for a small town romance with spice and this hit the spot for me! Booth is such a lovable character, I loved getting to know him on a deeper level and I can see him being a lot of people’s favourites (although for me Graham hasn’t been dethroned!) Aly is such a badass and her character development was *chefs kiss* (Booths to be exact👀) Ronnie has for sure done Booth and Aly’s journey justice!

Another beautiful instalment in the Sutton Bay series.

The beautiful story of Booth and Aly. What can I say..cute, cheeky, sexy.....it ticks all the boxes for an amazing love story.

Booth with his cheeky charm but underneath all his amazing family loyalty and agonising over the woman he loves and his family and responsibilities.

Aly with her strong willed personality and her independence, no man can slow down her big plans for life....then along comes Booth!! Well you need to read this story to see how it all unfolds but what a perfect story that fits so well with this series

I read this while away on holiday, and that’s the only reason it took me so long (kindle was overheating in the 40 degree Dubai days).

This was absolutely incredible. Every second was perfection. Booth was just the best. I remember telling my LEGO obsessed son about booth and his Lego building and he fell in love with him too.

He’s the perfect level of cheeky, boisterousness and heart. He’s still not MY Sadler man though x

✨ARC REVIEW ✨

Rating - 5/5

Tropes: Workplace romance, dislike to love, black cat artist fmc x golden retriever chef mmc, only one cabin/bed, family + found family, small town romance, dual 1st person pov, Friends with Benefits, Boss x Employee.

This is the third book in the Sutton Bay series and the first book I’ve read by Ronnie Mathews — and now I’m totally a fan of her writing 🫶. What I loved most is the way she writes her characters. I cried and got emotional while reading this story. The book is packed with incredible chemistry between the main leads — full of banter, angst, and sizzling tension that might just leave your jaw on the floor. When the black cat meets the cinnamon roll MMC, there’s not only jealousy involved but also a bit of foreplay too😌. (You might need a glass of cold water for this one — wink wink).

Alessandra is a boss woman — and I have to say, she’s totally a badass who doesn’t let anyone walk all over her. While she may come off as tough on the outside, she’s actually a softy who deeply cares about her loved ones. She hides her emotions so well, you might think nothing affects her — but behind that tough exterior she’s built, there’s vulnerability too.But Booth sees her. He sees the soul she hides from the world — her fears, her insecurities. Booth, aka “Dimples,” brings golden retriever energy. He loves to cook, adores his family, and it’s honestly hard not to fall for him. His one-liners, sense of humour, and love for LEGOs will totally charm you in minutes. Yet behind that ever-smiling face, he hides his dreams and vulnerabilities even from his own family.

These two have opposite personalities, but they complement each other in the most beautiful way. You can see the adoration in their eyes and feel the love through their actions. I absolutely loved how Booth is always there for Aly — always showing up when she needs him.But what truly stands out is their banter. Oh my god! Holy smokes! It’s so cute and had me laughing out loud. (Yes, yes Booth — we know you’ve been whipped from the start!!)

I also adored the family moments, especially the scenes between Lottie and Booth 😂. These two are absolutely hilarious.

If you’re looking for a book with a black cat FMC and a golden retriever MMC, yes chef moments, small-town charm, endless banter, spice, and friends-with-benefits vibes — then this book is 100% for you!

Thank you to LoveNotes PR and Ronnie Mathews for the ARC 🫶.

REVIEW POST - Book 35 of 2025

All We Need by Ronnie Mathews

No. Stop. Cz Booth Sadler wiped the floor with me! Let me just pick myself up off the floor from this one!!!

Hands down, her best book yet. Patrick and Jo brought us second chance pining. Graham and Quinn had us cheering for their self worth when they could see their own.

Booth and Aly? Well they brought it all. Humour, love, lust, heart, longing, fear, trust. Just ALL the big feels. And we know I love it when I get all the feels in one book!

I was not ready for the sadness hiding behind the youngest Sadler brother's smile. I also wasn't ready for how hilarious Graham is in this one. Quinn has clearly been an excellent influence on our glasses wearing cutie!

Booth struts around in those criminally tight bike shorts, flashing that killer smile and his signature dimples, with the hopes of winning the hearts and minds of all the Sutton Bay residents, but mostly to charm the tourists who breeze in and out. He is absolutely not prepared for our Greek goddess to come on in and knock him clean on his cheeky little backside the way she does.

Aly makes he presence known, for all the wrong reasons. But beneath that steely exterior is a good soul. And one who's a little misunderstood. I loved Aly and her strength. Her quiet journey of self assurance and realisation that you can let people in and still maintain all that you've built for yourself.

Giving the BIGGEST shout out to Ronnie for writing not one, but two characters, that I can relate to on the child front. Do you know how rare it is to read any characters in a romance book who actively choose a life without kids? I think this might be a first for me to see both people who have independently made that choice for themselves and come together with an agreed life choice. I felt seen. And heard. And that never happens in this genre for me.

Mama Sadler is on top form, yet again. And I am chomping at the bit for the next book! But for now... I'm gonna need more than 'today' to process these two.

I have had the absolute pleasure of receiving this ARC. I love small town romances and Ronnie’s are some of the best I have read 🩵

All We Need focuses on Booth Sadler, the youngest Sadler brother, and head chef at the family’s restaurant. The happy go lucky, handsome, cheeky sibling had a plan to leave his hometown, and be the chef he has always wanted to be. Booth is loyal to a fault, he can’t leave his family behind, now he feels stuck, losing the love for his job. Ever the flirt, Booth spots a raven haired, grey eyed woman and tries (and fails) to charm her, even with his dimples!

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Booth is persistent and had some of the best chat up lines!

Alessandra (Aly) is an ultimate bad ass, girl bossing so hard, arriving in Sutton Bay on a mission to get some answers. She has no time for beautiful distracting chefs but after one night stranded in a cabin that’s all about to change… Booth drives her crazy, but also becomes an unlikely friend and more. Will he help her get the answers she wants?

Let me tell you, I have LOVED every single one of Ronnie’s books. Each one, I read in a day 👀 Ronnie’s easy writing style keeps you hooked from page 1.
This dislike to love, black cat x golden retriever, small town, found family romance just hit so different to the other books in the best way.

Booth & Aly had some amazing chemistry and banter, you could genuinely feel the dislike but the tension between them was HOT! Like chilli pepper, jalapeño, extra spice hot 👀❤️‍🔥

I have loved the characters of Sutton Bay and I will be so sad when this is over but I cannot wait to see what Ronnie does next 🥹.

Thank you for blessing us with Booth and Aly 🤍

Thank you to Ronnie and Love Notes PR for this arc of All We Need

What can I say? I absolutely loved this book! It had me giggling like a schoolgirl and crying like a baby all within a few pages of each other. This book is all about facing your fears and living dreams. The last couple of chapters were so emotional and so beautifully written by Ronnie. I ugly cried!

Booth is the youngest Sadler brother and spends his time not taking himself or life too seriously. He’s the fun uncle and head chef for his families restaurant. His dimples and cycling shorts are in his partners in crime to his playboy ways. He doesn’t want commitment which is why he loves the tourists that visit Sutton Bay 😉

That is until he mets Alessandra, this fierce mystery beauty catches Booths eye and immediately brings him to his knees, but she is having none of his charms. Not being one to give up Booth finally gets the beauty to look his way but is all as it seems?

Tropes for this book include small town romance, dislike to love, one bed. with a black cat FMC in Aly and a golden retriever MMC in Booth. Throw in some workplace romance and I was sold. 💛. The spice in this book was hot AF, Booth didn’t disappoint 😉

The reveal in chapter 10 was very well done and Ronnie has definitely kept us in suspense with this over books one and two. I loved the concept of the letters for each of the siblings from their dad. The friendship and found family throughout this series so far is done so well and once more we got to see the characters from the other books evolve further. I can’t wait to return to Sutton Bay for Florence’s story. I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one.

All We Need by Ronnie Mathews is literally all we actually need! Set in the charming coastal town of Sutton Bay, the story follows Booth Sadler, a talented chef torn between his dreams and loyalty to his family’s legacy restaurant, Our Place. Enter Alessandra Argiros (Aly)—a fiercely ambitious woman temporarily in town searching for answers. Their worlds collide when a turn of events reveal Aly as the restaurants's buyer during its financial crisis, and hence Booth’s new boss, putting them at odds in an unexpected power struggle.

Their fiery rivalry, fueled by misconceptions, slowly transforms into a beautiful alliance filled with passionate tension and unshakeable trust. Though they agree their connection is temporary, as Aly’s departure nears, saying goodbye becomes increasingly painful. Their dynamic is a perfect blend of opposites attract, with Booth’s golden retriever energy clashing beautifully with Aly’s black cat demeanor.

This book made me laugh, blush, giggle, cry—both happy and sad tears—and even pull my hair at their stubbornness! The top-notch banter, slow-burn romance with angst, and found family vibes from the side characters add warmth and depth, keeping me hooked until the very last page.

If you love small-town charm, sizzling chemistry, and characters who challenge each other in the best ways, All We Need is an absolute must-read! 📖✨🔥

This is the third book in the Sutton Bay series (Those Two Words is book 1, Just One Moment, book 2). I definitely recommend reading this series in order to get the background on the Sadler family and have a deeper understanding of the characters! I love this series and the small town Maine setting. The Sadler family is one of my favorites!

All We Need follows Booth (the third Sadler sibling). Booth is the head chef at his family’s restaurant and feels stifled in his position. Enter Alessandra, the new girl in town, Booth’s next conquest, or so he thinks. Alessandra has her own reasons for being in Sutton Bay and does not have time to be distracted by Booth’s antics.

This one has the emotional depth that I’ve come to know and love from Ronnie. I loved the banter between Booth and Alessandra. I don’t want to give anything away, but the story really sucked me in! I think Booth might be my favorite Sadler 🤭 he is such a sweetheart and he can cook?! Say less. The spice was spicing in this one, and there were so many moments that pulled on my heartstrings.

If you’re looking for emotional romances with a little spice and a lot of heart, I definitely recommend checking out the Sutton Bay series!

Well, Aly and Booth were everything I didn’t know I needed, but now, I don’t think I can live without them.

Before this, I had never read a book by Ronnie, but I can confidently say that this won’t be my last. Find me backtracking and reading the other 2 books in this series ASAP because this was just that good.

I don’t want to say too much and risk giving the story away, but Aly and Booth are such perfectly flawed characters with so much love to give. Ronnie wrote these 2 in a way that is so incredibly relatable and real and I just fell for them so hard all the way through this book.

Booth - I actually think I am head over heels in love with this LEGO-loving, bike shorts-wearing hunk of a man. Booth has a tendency to cover up his emotions with self-deprecation because he cares SO incredibly deeply about those around him. But don’t worry, Aly truly is his perfect match in every sense of the word and pushes him to be selfish and chase his dreams. And the mouth and skills on this guy?! Deadly.

Aly - the epitome of a badass bitch! I am a simp for a woman who knows her worth, takes no shit, and can boss a man around like nobody’s business. But with that tough exterior comes some insecurities that make it hard for her to let others in and truly love her. But just like Aly is Booth’s perfect match, Booth helps Aly break out of her shell and see that her flaws aren’t failures.

And as if that’s not enough, there is a boatload of delicious banter and lots of whimpering and begging from our dearest Booth sprinkled throughout this story. I was pleasantly surprised by how hawt the spice was in this book. Hats off to you, Ronnie, truly 🥵

4.5⭐️

I’ve always loved booth in the previous books and it was fun to see him take centre stage in his own book.

Booth and Aly were fantastic main characters. The flirtation and the banter between them was so much fun to read, the chemistry between them was right on point.

Booth was such a loyal and genuine person, he put his own hopes and dreams aside to be there for his family and he did it with a smile on his face and heart full of love.

Aly took a moment to warm up too but as you found out more of her story, she became such a strong and caring person, one you couldn’t help but root for to find her answers and make peace with herself in a way.

And Booth and Aly needed each other, they were like ice & fire…oil & water but it worked, they saw each other in ways no else did and they pushed each other to be better, to fight for what they wanted and I loved that.

The story was written really well, it had emotional elements that balanced out the story in such a good way with the romance side of it.

I enjoyed the vibe of the book, the setting and with the detail you could really picture it as you read along, all around it was great addition to the series.

Thank you for the ARC!!

A sizzling chemistry between Aly and Booth 🔥

What a beautiful reading!!

Their banter is so good: funny, flirty and sweet! Their scenes are esplosive and romantic! They gave each other nicknames (*giggling like a school girls*), their verbal duel is foreplay, speaking to each other ignite their spark! He gives her LEGO flowers (*screaming into my pillow*). My fav part? Their domestic scenes, especially when they cook together or when he feeds her! Mention of honour: a very tender love scene painted with colours, it made my heart flutter.

Two strong, independent characters with dreams and visions that color each other’s life! The perfect match! Especially because Booth really sees Aly, and Aly does the same. What I really appreciate about a relationship.

I really liked the deep, raw emotion you can feel during the whole reading: it tugged at my heart, particularly because I don’t trust people just like Alessandra. Finding someone whom is not scary of this, is truly a rare treasure!

I received an advanced copy. These are my thoughts:

And we are back in Sutton Bay! This time, the story follows Booth (the 3rd Saddler sibling) as he battles with the new mystery owner of their former family owned restaurant - Our Place. At the same time, Booth finds himself mesmerised by Alessandra - the town’s newest resident and the only woman who doesn’t seem to succumb to his dazzling smile, killer bilateral dimples and his skin tight cycling shorts. Quite the challenge.

Alessandra was a grumpy black cat, while Booth was all goofy sunshine most of the time. I liked that the they had layers to them and that they pulled them back together. They were the perfect example of opposites attract.

I like a goofy man but most tend to be extra annoying and never really know when to stop. I really appreciated that for all his boyish ways and goofiness, Booth really did step up and was serious and focused when he needed to be. He was able to find a good balance between the two to help Aly when she needed support the most - sexy as hell!

I really liked the way Mathews wrote the mystery surrounding Aly’s arrival and what she was doing in Sutton Bay. I loved her parents!! *That* scene - IYKYK.

This book got me on a personal level. For anyone who’s ever felt they didn’t have a choice because you would be letting your people down if you chose something different for yourself, you do have a choice and this book is for you.

I have loved seeing Mathews’ writing evolve from book to book. The slow burn mixed with the banter and humor were perfectly paced. The spice matched the intensity of the MCs, and the sweet, tender moments revealed a caring and nurturing layer to them. Chef’s kiss (pun intended).

I really enjoyed this one! It was so nice to be back in Sutton Bay with the Sadler siblings and see whether or not Booth would be able to catch the eye of the elusive woman at the fair and meet the new owner of their restaurant, head on.

Alessandra is new in town and charming, golden retriever Booth cannot help but shoot his shot. And immediately gets turned down. It was such a laugh to watch this unfold, and I cannot help but love Booth's perseverance. I loved the grumpy x sunshine dynamic between them; Alessandra was not afraid to put Booth in his place and let's be honest, he didn't mind it either. I fell for these two so hard, it was a joy to see Alessandra push Booth to follow his dreams and watch Booth teach Alessandra that it's okay to trust and that her 'flaws' are not failures. I really enjoyed the story line as to why Alessandra made it to Sutton Bay. It was well thought out and emotional. I had some very unexpected tears in my eyes by the end!

I really enjoy this series for lovely, heartwarming small town vibes. There are perfect layers of friendship, family, banter and spice. I'm looking forward to book 4; I've always had my wee eye on these two and I'm very much looking forward to seeing their story unfold.

Thank you to Ronnie Matthews and Love Notes PR for the advanced copy of this book.

ARC REVIEW: thank you to Ronnie Mathews & Love Notes PR for my e-arc copy of this book.

📌Book includes: dislike to like, workplace romance, found family, grumpy sunshine

In this story we are following Aly and Booth. Both feel immense amount of pressure to do the right thing, even if it means losing themselves along the way. Their story is really a journey about finding themselves and learning to trust each other. Aly is trying to find her birth family and these moments truly had me so emotional. As someone who is adopted, the feelings that Aly felt were so relatable, real, and raw. I felt so seen being in her POV. Booth is trying to make his family proud, but staying in a job he doesn't love is slowly killing his passion for cooking. These two don't get off on the right foot but they can't seem to stop running into each other. The way that Booth was always thinking of Aly's needs and taking care of her, CHEFS KISS!!
