Cute read about her beother0s best friend who also happens to be the town cop and is 4 years older and has been in love with her since she was 14 (and he was 17). I know, I was worried there for a second because he was older and her date to the prom.

Prom night with a bang

Officer Julian is the first book in the Curves & Cuffs series. The story is about Savannah and Julian. She has turned eighteen years old and is the best friend of Heather. Julian is twenty-two years old and has been a police officer since her graduated high school and went to the academy. Savannah and Heather are in need of formal dresses for their senior prom so they go shopping, but that is with a very over protective Julian in tow. Heather is being semi stalked by her now ex and Julian wants to keep her safe. As the girls are trying on dresses Heather gets a wild idea and just runs with it....she calls Julian and tells him he needs to be Savannah's date for prom. Julian agrees immediately as he has had a major crush on her since she they were 14 and 18 years old. Things are about to get interesting on prom night as they both are not sure what will happen, but you know it is going to be memorable no matter what.
This is a nicely written and entertaining story with some swoony and passionate romance. I will confess that I did find it a bit creepy that he had basically lusted after her when she was so young to begin with. But I just rolled with the story and am looking forward to the new series of officers getting cuffed when they find their one and only.

Eu já havia lido um livro da autora, mas não me recordava. Se eu tivesse me lembrado disso, teria evitado a frustração de ler esse livro aqui. Para começar, apesar de dizer várias vezes que a Savannah havia completado 18 anos recentemente, talvez numa tentativa de mostrá-la como uma mulher e não uma adolescente, na real ela não passava mesmo de uma adolescente. Infantil, insegura e por vezes irritante. No começo achei estranho um romance entre um policial e uma adolescente (eu sei, ela tinha 18, mas ainda era adolescente). Mas depois falou que Julian tinha 22 anos. Como a idade deles é parecida, não ficou tão estranho. Mas é inegável o fato de que Julian é muito mais maduro do que a Savannah. E a dinâmica dos dois não ficou legal, justamente por causa do comportamento dela. Para completar, a história não é nada desenvolvida. Tudo gira em torno do baile e fica por lá mesmo. Eles dormem juntos e fim. Não tem felizes para sempre, apenas um felizes por enquanto. Não dá para saber se a coisa vai durar no futuro. Não dá nem para saber se vai durar quando eles saírem daquele quarto - o que a julgar pelo comportamento dela, não vai. Ela precisa ir pra faculdade e amadurecer primeiro antes de ter um relacionamento com alguém. Foi um final completamente insatisfatório e muito frustrante. Não gostei e não recomendo.

I have such conflicting feelings about this. Mainly because I hated the age gap. Im usually fine with them but I prefer for both parties to be at least 21 if not older. Im not sure how i missed in the summary that shes in high school. Something about a 22 year old and a freshly 18 year old just felt weird to me. Especially when they brought up prom. personally my school banned anyone over 18 from being a students date and as an adult i understand why. Something about him being a police officer also just made the age gap more icky to me when I feel like that was supposed to make it seem more forbidden IDK.

With that being said if i read this when i was 18-19 this probably would have been a 5 star. As someone who has also struggles with their confidence due to weight I could really relate to Savannah. I love reading romance books with "curvy" FMC because it really just heals something in me reading how the right man could appreciate you. I think the book has some questionable things happening but I loved the confidence Julian gave Savannah and the effort he took to make her night perfect.

This was a somewhat cute story with potential—if both characters had been a little older. Savannah is 18, finishing up high school, and dealing with insecurities about her body while navigating prom season. Julian is Heather’s older brother… and also a 22-year-old police officer who agrees to be Savannah’s prom date under the guise of keeping an eye out for Heather’s stalker ex.

On the surface, it has the makings of a sweet, protective-romance setup. But as a cop’s wife, I couldn’t get past the realism factor—no trained officer is going to risk his entire career, reputation, and future by dating a high schooler, even if she is legally 18. The imbalance in life stages (a high school senior vs. a working officer) just felt too big to ignore and pulled me out of the story.

If Savannah and Julian had been written closer in age—or both clearly out of high school—I think this could’ve been a charming, feel-good romance. As it is, it sits in that awkward space between cute and uncomfortable

I got this book on "Stuff your Kindle Day" and it was advertised as a short and steamy read.

It truly was short, only 60ish pages, but it was sadly not steamy. Not even a little bit.

I had a feeling that the author had a really lovely romance idea, but for some unknown reason decided to write a 60 page instead and jammed a full romance book and one intimate scene into the few pages and called it a day. That was really disappointing, as the story had potential, but it definitely needed at least 200 extra pages.

The ending was also insanely weird - they just had sex and we constantly hear the MMC thinking about a future with the FMC and when she says "is it always like this" - the says "I don't know" and the End...

I hate giving 2 stars, but I struggled even giving 2 - only because the plot was technically there, but the deliverance was sadly lacking back, front and centre. :(

Savannah Krish is best friends with Heather. Heather’s ex-boyfriend Tobias did not take their break-up well and has become a stalker. Julian is 22 and a police officer. He is also Heather’s older brother and he is worried about Heather’s safety. They are seniors in high school and at the mall looking for prom dresses. Savannah is 18 and has not even had her first kiss yet because she is not exactly a tiny girl. She has been teased about her curves. Heather schemes to make Julian be Savannah’s date for prom by pretending Julian can be at prom in case Tobias tries anything.

Julian agrees to be Savannah’s date even though he knows that Heather is trying to play matchmaker. I loved that both Savannah and Julian liked each other but were not sure what to do with their feelings. Cute short story.

Is this author for real. First off, you have to be at least 21 to be a police officer. Maybe do a basic google search when researching for your next book. Secondly, maybe when the MMC is waxing poetic that he has had a crush on the FMC for four years and was just waiting for her to turn 18 that he does also mention in the same breathe that he didn’t patiently wait and did sample the local offerings of women, 🤮. So of course the FMC is all omg he likes me, we should bang, 😒. As if the dialogue isn’t already awful the MMC tells the FMC “I want to take you higher than you've ever gone before” way to set the bar low scooter not only is she a virgin, he was her first kiss like two day ago. That ending was trash. Run don’t walk away from this book! That’s 30 minutes of my life I will never get back.

He's 22 and she's just turned 18! He's had a crush on her since he was 14. Julian's sister asks him to take her best friend Savannah to their high school prom. Savannah asks Julian to be her first. What 22 year old police officer is going to take an 18 year old kid to a high school prom? 🤨 It ends after Savannah gives her virginity to Julian after the prom and he wonders if she's his happy ever after girl. Not realistic! Too corny for anyone over 21 and not a fan of promoting young ladies cashing in something so precious because kids think it's what's done after prom. 🧐

A short and fast paced story following Abigail and Julian. Julian has been biding his time for his best friends younger sister to turn 18 and has watched her grow up to be the beautiful woman she is today, when the opportunity arises he takes it and makes it clear to her that he wants her and that she is everything he has ever dreamed of and now that she is an adult he takes the chance. A beautiful romantic story with great characters that will keep you glued to your book.

Heather ask Julian, a cop, to be Savannah's date just in case Tobias causes trouble at the prom. Heather knows that Sav knows Sav's feelings for Julian. What does Savannah ask of Julian? Does he agree?

Sav and Julian had a crush on each other for years, but Sav was too young then and his sisters best friend. He always liked her, but had encounters with women in the meantime until she was legally an adult (yuck-not my kind of thing). If you love/like someone and you are pining after this person don't bang/date others. (But that's just for me a no no🤷🏻‍♀️)For my taste Sav was too insecure and so in love with him that she really didn't care. All in all a cute short age gap(4years) love story, not safe(like mentioned at the top😉), sweet ,with a bit of steam and a HEA.

This is okay if you are looking for a super quick read before bed but I wasn’t the biggest fan. While the age gap of 4 years wasn’t extreme it was a little uncomfortable because the FMC had just turned 18. They both have had a crush on each other for a while with neither of them acting on it because the MMC was out of high school when he finally started to notice his sister’s BFF. The entire book is basically over a two day period so don’t expect much for character development or story development. The main reason I kept going through the story was because it was only about 60 pages long.

Well, well, well. Thank God I read this while stuck in hospital with absolutely nothing better to do, because if I’d wasted my actual free time on it, I’d be furious.

It takes 90% of the damn book before they finally have sex. If you’re after something slower than two ancient turtles trying to mate, congratulations—you’ve found it.

Spice rating? Flour. That’s right—plain, boring flour. Zero heat, zero flavour. Honestly, I wouldn’t have even bothered finishing if I hadn’t been trapped in a hospital bed hooked up to potassium infusions.

I could not get over the fact of an 18 year old becoming so obsessed with a 14 year old. I couldn't get passed it. It grossed me out. For him to say he waited 4 years for her (gross) when he actually was a

"playboy type" (aka he slept around), and because when he lost his virginity it was with a drunk girl at his prom who cried for an hour after, and to not bring a condom, but to get a hotel... I don't know. It just skeeved me out. The story was definitely not for me. The writing was mediocre, and felt a little rushed but I have definitely

read worse in that regard.

This delightful story is about a best friend who has a crush on the brother who just so happens to have his own crush on his sister's friend. It comes to a head when they realize their feelings for each other. It is a well written story with a heartwarming story plot and colorful characters that had me all caught up i the story.

Unbeknownst to either of them, the crushing has been mutual. When his sister pushes them together - though not obviously setting them up - sparks fly. A quick, entertaining, swoony read.

I am not really lucky with the books I choose from Kindle free offers😅. This book was quite short just 60 pages so I understand that can't be slow or anything like that
But for me the age gap was cringy. I've read books with 15 years age gap and no problem but in this one the love came when one of the characters was underage, quite, we aren't talking about a 17 year old person, younger than that. True, the relationship happens when both are older. But, for me was still cringy in a bad way.

Terrible. A 22 yr old man who has feelings for his sisters best friend who is 4 years younger than him. he goes to her senior prom with her, has s*x with her and says he's been obsessed with her since she was 14 and he was 18.
Hate that. It's gross in my opinion.
Also he says she's attractive because of her curves, as a curvy woman i find that offensive because a person is MORE than their body, and the appearance of their body.

Readable romantic novella. Unknown to each other Savannah and Julian have had a mutual crush for several years. I loved that Julian has held back all this time as he considered his younger sister’s friend too young. Both the main characters are likeable and the story engages the reader from the start. A good read with the promise of a sweet HEA at the end.
