Scarred Sins

Viciously obsessive.
Sadistically enthralled.
Ruthlessly voracious.

A calm, collected man with hair as white as snow, and eyes as deep as the sea. A wolf in sheep’s clothing, and the person whose entire existence revolves around my own.

The man who vows to help me get revenge. The man who will stop at nothing to help me build back my power, until I can overpower everyone, including him.

At a turn of the sick, twisted fate, our paths are intertwined, and we’re bound together by those who have wronged us.

Arlo De Santis – the very same man who’s stalked me, killed for me and left bodies in his wake. The only one who can protect and save me from the dark wrath of my mind.

The one who will heal my scarred sins, but will ultimately love me for them.

New book boyfriend UNLOCKED!!! Kat you have done it again, you keep making me fall in love with these unhinged men. but do I love it.....erm YES!!!
Arlo, what can I say he is a huge walking RED FLAG, and seriously, not someone you want to cross, but oh, is he an absolutely puppy dog for Blair. Keeping her safe from the shadows no one gets to hurt his girl. He would burn the world down for her, all she had to do was ask. He is the one that is going to help her get the revenge she deserves and protect her no matter the cost. The cliffhanger had me jumping out of my seat and needing the next book. This book is dark and full of TW so please check them before reading. If you don't have any TW then this book is for you 100% amazing. So Happy Reading!

holy shit this was GOOD!!!

🩶 kat my queen, you know how much i absolutely ADORE everything you write but this? this takes top and i have a feeling so will the entire trilogy.

☁️ i wanna start off by saying that as much as i knew i loved arlo and blair from kortlek - i loved them both even more when i got to be inside their minds and their lives.

🔪 blair mybaby, my sweet ribbon lover, from the beginning and all throughout the book i was so insanely proud of her and how much she was able to achieve with all the demons that haunted her. i knew she was strong but holy, holy shit this was so insanely more than i could've ever expected. i loved how she thrived off arlo's care and love and used it to build her confidence, trust and strength even when she believed she didn't have it. my strong queen 😭🩶

💀 arlo WOOP put a baby in me already fr like c'mon now. this man is so perfect - always has been so perfect ever since kortlek to ME and holy shit, he just managed to get more and more perfect. the way he cared for blair, the way he made sure to never push her further than she could handle, the way he was simply there for her OHMYGOD. the way he brought her into his family and gave her a home while still making sure she was comfortable at all times? DREAM MAN 😭🩶

💜 as a couple, blair and arlo really surprised me in this book. i loved seeing how blair grew more comfortable with arlo touching her and how being with him made her be able to trust more people - by that i mean the de santis clan.

🩶 i loved seeing the snippets of the other characters - especially of aria and cove, and hudson and noelle. and so many of the other side characters have me INTRIGUED because ykw, fine shyts all of them.

⭐ thank you kat, for this masterpiece of a book - i can't wait for what comes next ❤️‍🩹

oh god oh god OHFUCKINGHELL THIS DID NOT JUST END LIKE THIS miss king i will be needing the second book IMMEDIATELY fuck how do i breathe
okay here we go

💘blair oh sweet precious murderous blair how i adore you. blair’s strength throughout the book is immensely admirable from her past to the woman she is now i’m in awe of her just the way arlo is and if death comes to me in the form of this brutal yet beautiful goddess I AM RUNNING TOWARDS IT. her softness her bloodthirstiness everything about blair is just so inspiring and when she’s out in the world i know everyone will be her biggest fan

💙arlo fucking desantis mostly known as “the ghost” yet mostly seen as the most adorable teddy bear ever 😭😭🤏🏻🤏🏻 he’s so adorable it hurts but don’t let that fool you since the man will kill you without a single thought. he’s a killer through and through (just like his dad yum) but the side he shows blair the vulnerable, soft, caring arlo god that has my heart that man is SO MATURE which hello is a great fucking turn on not once did he make blair feel bad about anything he did which in my eyes 10/10 definitely recommend

❤️‍🩹okay now i know we don’t see much of blairarlo as a couple in this book (TWO MORE TO GO FUCK YEAH) but the scenes that were shown those were enough to set the perfect base for them both are so possessive over each other it’s adorable they’re both wholly each other and WILL DEFINITELY burn the world for the other

🖇️the found family was truly to live for seeing noellehudson still so much in love even after almost 25 years made me tear up ngl and the way they’re such perfect parents for arlo and aria im so proud of them :’) and little miss sniper aria i love you

kat king thank you thank you so much for this arc top 2025 reads for sure not ready to see everyone lose their minds when the book finally comes out 💋

oh also Ekaterina Kalashnikova you are very much mine 🔒

A boy obsessed in love. I can't tell you what it is, but I could eat it up all day long.

Arlo is for the ones who wanted unquestioning, unwavering devotion. I'm absolutely swoon, raw, next question. Blair is giving knowing yourself, and your limits, and honestly I'm proud of our girl.

Give me patience through healing, and a love that is fair, and a bit of action along the way absolutely any day. There was not a shred of duplicity in this love story's execution.

I need more (because not that ending), and I need it yesterday. Kat is keeping us fed. No notes.

Omgggg Kat, you did it again. I swear, I didn’t think anyone could top Noelle and Hudson for me and yet, here I am completely proven wrong all over again. I still adore Hudson and Noelle with all my heart, but Blair and Arlo? Oh my goddd they are absolute perfection. I love, love, love them so much. I didn’t think it was possible to fall for another De Santis this hard, but look at me now obsessed beyond saving.😩

This book was beyond amazing. Actually, amazing doesn’t even begin to describe how good it was. I literally devoured it in one sitting. That’s how hooked I was. I couldn’t stop reading, not even for a second.💜

Arlo. My heart. Oh my goodness, this man is everything. He’s like the sweetest teddy bear, but also deadly if you mess with his people. I mean, come on he took down an entire highly guarded prison just to free Blair. And then he stalked her in the most caring, soft, protective way just to make sure she was okay and felt safe and loved. Everything he does is so thoughtful and mature. He’s just so perfect. I cannot deal.😭💜💜💜

And Blair. Oh my fierce, brave queen 🛐. The way she overcame her fear and trauma and grew into this strong, incredible woman had me cheering for her nonstop. And the way she’s possessive over Arlo? Cutest thing ever. I was screaming.💜

Don’t even get me started on the found family element. I was crying happy tears with every scene. They are everything to me.😭🥹 And every single moment with Hudson and Noelle felt like the sweetest little gift. My heart was so full.💜😭

Kat absolutely nailed it again. The depth. The emotion. The growth. The trauma. The healing. All of it was portrayed so beautifully. I’m still not over it. This book truly blew my mind and stole my soul.💜

WHEN SURVIVAL BECOMES POWER & BRUTALITY KNEELS TO LOVE

I entered this book expecting a typical dark romance. But it’s not.

What I found instead was a healing journey built on soft, gentle love, patience, and understanding. Blair was a victim of SA & 🍇 at the hands of her own parents. She's broken but chooses to remain soft. But she is also brave, resilient, and strong-willed. Even when the system failed her, she never stopped fighting for her own justice.

Then comes Arlo. A hired assassin, feared for his brutality but when it comes to Blair, he is nothing but gentleness, respect, and adoration. He doesn’t just worship Blair. He WORSHIP worships her. The ground she walks on, the air she breathes.

Their love isn’t merely a slow burn. It’s a snail-slow burn, and I lived for every second of it. He even asks her permission before kissing her, because he understands how deeply her trauma still lingers.

This book delves beyond romance. It delves deeper into trauma, healing, and retribution. It’s a journey of its own. Empowering.

She proves brokenness can bloom and survival is power. He proves brutality can bow and devotion is strength.

The De Santis family has my heart.

Watching this family unfold has been nothing short of amazing.

I knew Arlo and Blair’s story was going to bring out many emotions. He’s the complete opposite of his dad Hudson but in the best ways. It’s fun to see parts of both his parents in his personality.

Blair’s story is just absolutely heartbreaking. My heart breaks for everything she’s had to endure. I can’t wait to read more of her past in book 2.

How does one get adopted into the De Santis family? Is there a form I can fill out or a letter I can send to someone….just asking for a friend.

Kat King is back with the most badass family of all time, and it’s finally Arlo and Blair’s moment to shine. Divine Gore is a trilogy so the story has just gotten started and will be a while before it’s done but a glimpse at the start of their forever will be worth the wait.

Set years before Kortlek, Scarred Sins follows Arlo as HE follows Blair. Having caught his attention, he dives in headfirst to support this broken girl running from her horrible past and he is willing to do anything to give her the best in life.

“If soulmates are real, she is mine.”

Blair, Blair, Blair… this girl owns my heart, no doubt about it. She’s strong, resilient, passionate, the kind of FMC that has you rooting for her. My heart broke for all that she’s been through and what she’s going to go through, but I know that with Arlo to hold her tight, she’s going to be just fine. I also loved that Blair was just as protective and possessive over Arlo as he was over her. It was perfection and really highlighted their mutual attraction.

Oh Arlo. We stan a man who knows what he wants. The best way to describe him is a hardened assassin with an unhinged (it runs in the family) cinnamon roll style attitude for Blair. I. LOVED. ARLO. He is truly his parents’ son through and through, with Hudson’s overpowering obsessive nature and Noelle’s crazy sharp mind and ability to love. And what I loved most about him was how Arlo is a total simp for his woman, it’s adorable.

Honestly, the only way I can describe Arlo and Blair is that they’re soulmates. Their intimacy and closeness are unmatched and despite this book having absolutely no intimate scenes, the chemistry and sense of fulfillment are unparalleled.

“His heart is beating fast — it’s beating for me, and it’s the greatest feeling I’ve ever known.”

I can’t review this without raving about Hudson and Noelle once more so here I am again, for the third time, raving on about these two. They were unhinged in their own book, and they’re as unhinged as ever as parents. Supportive to the max, they give Arlo the tools and blessings he needs to pursue Blair, I was gagging at how much fun it was. And the way they gave Blair the love that she had been missing her whole life, my heart is full with how seamlessly Blair integrated into the family. Even in Aria’s book, I always sensed an immense sense of love and respect between Blair and her, so seeing how it all started and how genuine their connection was from the beginning is chef’s kiss.

Because this is just the start of the trilogy, it does end on a cliffhanger, and I’m absolutely dying to see how things progress. It’s going to be a tough ride, but I’m prepared for everything. Kat King is absolutely amazing at creating this strong sense of family and bonds that feel timeless, and she’s done it again here. I loved Hudson and Noelle with all my soul, loved Aria’s book, and of course, Arlo and Blair were always going to steal my heart with their epic love story.

I am completely, irrevocably, and gleefully obsessed with this family of serial killers.

Scarred Sins consumed me. It wasn’t just a book—it was a descent into madness, pain, and the most delicious form of obsession I’ve ever read. Arlo De Santis is… something else. A calm, controlled man with snow-white hair and ocean-deep eyes. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. The kind of man who stalks, kills, and bleeds for the woman he loves—and still manages to make your heart ache with every whispered word.

His entire existence revolves around her. He helps her rebuild her power not just to survive, but to dominate—to become the kind of woman who can destroy the world, including him. And he wants that. Needs that. Loves that.

The dynamic between them? Feral. Healing. So wrong it’s right. And when I say I swooned, I mean I lost my entire mind.

And the best part? Arlo isn’t just any morally gray man.
𝗛𝗲’𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱. 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.
YES. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲. I remember reading their story, being ripped apart and stitched back together by the chaos of their love—and now seeing Arlo’s side of things? It hit differently. Suddenly, every moment I spent with Cove and Aria came rushing back, but now with an even deeper emotional punch.

You get these gorgeous little echoes of their story—the family loyalty, the fierce love, the pain they all carry—and it just makes Arlo’s descent into obsession that much more powerful.

Kat King writes broken characters so perfectly, it’s honestly suspicious. Like, how does she know the exact flavor of darkness I crave? I don’t want healing arcs. I want bleeding hearts stitched together with vengeance and obsession. And Kat delivers.

But now… now I’ve hit a wall.
Because book two in this trilogy isn’t coming yet.
And I am one chaotic page away from spiraling.

So what am I doing?
I’m diving straight into the story of this serial killer family’s Mom and Dad, because I NEED to stay in this world. I need to breathe this madness. Feel that legacy. Keep the obsession alive.

Otherwise, I might go insane.
(Or, you know... insaner.)

Scarred Sins didn't just hook me—it swallowed me whole and spit me back out, utterly feral. This book isn’t just a story; it’s a straight-up descent into madness, pain, and the most delicious kind of twisted obsession I’ve ever felt. I’m so catastrophically obsessed with this family of serial killers it’s almost embarrassing—but not enough to stop.

And Blair. My beautiful, brutal Blair. I worship the ground her bloodstained boots walk on. Watching her rise from the ashes of her trauma into this savage, radiant force of nature? It broke me. She’s everything. If death had a face, it would be hers—and I would sprint toward it without hesitation. Blair’s perfect balance of tenderness and brutality isn't just inspiring—it’s holy. Mark my words: once the world gets a real taste of her, they’ll fall on their knees for her, just like I did.

Then there’s Marlo Desantis—the ghost. Sweet baby angel on the outside, absolutely feral killer on the inside. Don’t let the teddy bear act fool you; he’ll rip out your throat with a smile, and you’ll thank him for it. He’s pure violence stitched together with enough softness to kill you twice. And the way he is with Blair? The way he sees her strength, nurtures it, needs it? I am on my knees. I’m wrecked. His loyalty, his patience, his absolute refusal to diminish her power—God, it’s perfection. No guilt-tripping, no hand-holding, just pure, unconditional worship. A++ man. Gold star. Husband material for deranged murder goddesses only.

Their connection? It’s raw. It’s animalistic. It's broken and healing and so wrong it circles back around to being right. When I say I swooned, I mean I fully blacked out. Brain? Empty. Heart? Wrecked. Standards? Obliterated.

This book didn’t just make me feel—it ruined me. And I would do it all again.

This was a great start to the trilogy for Arlo & Blair. The pacing of this book is definitely different from the first two books released, but the story was still so engaging. This book was more about story building and learning about the origin of Arlo & Blair. The cliffhanger was expected and has me so worried or Blair and I can't wait for book 2!

Blair man she has gone through it with the worst parents possible and just nobody ever being there for her under she met Arlo and his family. His family welcomed Blair with open arms and I loved the blossoming relationship between Blair and Noelle, the mother she should've had. Blair's story is mostly focused on her healing from the trauma she had to endure and learning to trust people and get her revenge on all the people who hurt her. When Arlo told Blair he was proud of her, I teared up, they were just so cute.

Arlo was down bad for Blair from the first meeting while he was on a job and made it his mission to free her from the prison sentence she should've never gotten. He keeps an eye on her from a distance for years until he finally reveals himself again and even though he was basically stalking her, Blair feels so comfortable with her. I loved how soft and sweet he was with her, knowing all the awful stuff she had been through and never pressured her for anything she wasn't ready for.

I absolutely love the DeSantis family and getting to read Noelle and Hudson again made me so happy. I loved Sardonic Burns so much and still think about them. The relationship between Hudson and Arlo is so hilarious and the banter between them was perfection. I was cackling about the jealousy Hudson has for Arlo when it came to his mother. Hudson is just as obsessed with Noelle as he was in their book, and I'm so here for it.

I don’t think I have read anything like this in a while or maybe ever. A family full of assassins, and an obsessed stalker?!

Blair’s life has been nothing short of extremely traumatic. Her ability to trust and love believe was cut short when the people closest to her hurt her in the most unimaginable ways. She spent a year planning her mother and step father’s murder, and feels no remote for it. Ending up in a prison where she was still fighting for her life she meets Dr Benjamin Miller. He has this intriguing interest in her that she can’t place, but after spending time with him she is just as interested in him.
When someone decides to literally kill everyone in prison except for her she gets another chance at life. She will use it to her advantage and make those men pay for what they did to her.

Arlo…or Dr Benjamin! This man literally burnt the world down for his butterfly during the prison killings. Then when the men bothered her at the restaurant she worked at he killed them. He has slowly set up things in her life that she didn’t know about just to keep her safe. He planned to take her and help her get revenge on all those horrible men.

One would say don’t fall for your stalker, but it was really hard for Blair not to. She trusted Arlo, and felt safe with him and his family. They trained her to fight, they showed her love and mostly let her be who she was. They also never blamed her for what happened to her, and told her how brave she was to go through all of it
So when they hatch a plan to take down these men nothing prepared them for what could wrong.

I knew this story was ending on a cliffhanger but not the one that it did! I will patiently wait for book two!

Holy wow. When I say I need the second book like now I need it now.

This book left me on a cliffhanger, but just reading this book has gotten me so sucked into this series and now I’m going to go read other books by this author, so I can understand this universe more.

Arlo and Blair had such a good communication. I loved it so much because one thing I hate is the miscommunication group in this did not have that, he was always straight up with her and told her what was going on or he would tell her later and apologize for it.

A dark romance that feels like a dark romance, but also not the ones with SA between the two main characters. Arlo helping Blair and believing Blair with her trauma, was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever read.

Kat truly did write such an amazing book and took really good care with Blair and her abuse that she went through. I love how Arlo was written in the story to help Blair overcome her past and not pressure her in anything.

That being said if you want a book where the male main character is definitely a psycho, obsessive golden retriever. Then that’s Arlo for you, and if you want a female main character with a traumatizing backstory, but overcomes and wants her revenge. That’s Blair.

This book follows Blair coming out of prison and living under a fake name, and Arlo stalking her and being obsessive of her. And when the two of them meet, they realize they have something in common. Someone in common. Throughout the novel, it’s the idea of trying to take down this corporation while also getting revenge.

Blair Hawke's life has been a hell ever since she turned 15. The woman who gave birth to her was interested in selling her to wealthy men rather than protecting her. The step father was also on board with this plan. Blair was tortured, humiliated and scarred. The scars inside her mind ran deeper than the ones on the surface. Finally, Blair decides to save herself from this hell and takes the life of her 'parents', and that is the reason why she ended up inside prison. Victims are always blamed, and Blair was an example.

But, one day when she was doing solitary confinement, she heard some noise and commotion on the outside. Suddenly her door opened and the whole prison was painted red with blood. Without thinking much Blair runs away from there and decides to leave this life behind. Little did she know that he was always behind her, the white haired handsome knight - Arlo De Santis. Can Blair leave her old life behind? Is her life in danger?

Read Scarred Sins to find out.

My Note: Thank you Kat King for sending a copy of this beautiful book. Blair has my heart, the things she went through is straight out of a nightmare. From the very first chapter I got hooked on the book and all the Kat King books have got that effect on me. And Arlo...my goodness, he is one heck of a morally grey MMC. I absolutely love the duality of him and he was just mind-blowing. Their chemistry was beautifully written and the plot is also FANTASTIC. I can't wait to read the 2nd book. Literally counting days for the release. I absolutely loved this book and hope you guys will enjoy it too.

"Arlo De Santis is the first man to ever intrigue me."

Looking for a book where the girl is set our for a revenge and the guy is helping her get her revenge? This book's for you. This trilogy isn't just about the leads relationship, revenge, the pain and sufferings, trauma, obsession. It's everything ❤️‍🔥

It's been a while since I read such a good book, this is the first book in the trilogy. Scarred sins is all about the introduction to Blair and Arlo's story. Moreover it's about Blair's suffering. I wanna hug my girl so bad, she SUFFERED alot but Arlo isn't ready to give up on her yet. 🥹

Arlo got obsessed with Blair, so he massacred a whole prison to set her free. And Obviously he stalks her (just to ensure her safety). His obsession (love) for Blair is something he wouldn't trade anything for because for him Blair is someone who he would do anything for including killing someone who touches her.

Blair killed her stepfather and mother, does she regret it? NO! Should she? Fuck no. After escaping the prison, she lives her life away from all these, now meeting Arlo gave her a purpose, to get her revenge on people who did her wrong.

Also sue me for looking forward to Noelle and Hudson's crumbs, I mean my parents are still very muchhh I love with each other 🥹

The story will make you CRY ALOT, but at the same time it will heal you because that's what it will do to you 😭🤌🏻

I probably say this about every couple in Kat's books, but I love the intensity and passion between them. Not just the main characters, but also the side characters and their relationships as well. I knew I would love Blair and Arlo, just from the snippets of them in Cove and Aria's book (Kortlek).

Check TWs before reading as Blair has quite a difficult past. No one believed her, at least not until Arlo met her. He provides a way out, a safe space for her both mentally and physically. His methods may not necessarily be normal, but they are what Blair needs. He may be obsessed with her but he is also obsessed with getting revenge for her.

I really appreciate that their relationship, at least physically, does not progress too fast. It wouldn't make sense if they just jumped into bed together. Arlo is very respectful of Blair's aversion to touch because of her past. They both know that they are it for each other so there is no reason to jump into situations that Blair may not be ready for.

Arlo's family is key in helping Blair for multiple reasons. They are all trained in a way that will help her revenge, and aid their own. However, my favorite thing is the connection that they all try to make with Blair and it helps her fill the void of those who should have loved her in the past. There is so much that I am excited to read about in book 2.

If Kat King writes it I will read it. I honestly cannot deny that Kat can write and she has the art behind creating an obsessed MMC for us to obsess over every single time. Oh and I also am starting to believe that Kat is the Queen of nicknames, Arlo can call me butterfly any day

Arlo is hands down obsessed, I mean he stalks Blair for crying out loud! But he does it to protect her so its super sweet especially considering their lives. He is the sweetest man on the planet towards her, he is overly protective yet so emotionally attached to her that it could break him.

Blair is so much stronger than she believes she is. Her past may haunt her but none of it is her fault well nothing that lead her to a prison cell but heck I would say that doesn't count either. She starts to live after she finally meets Arlo, she may be scared and uncertain about what the future holds but that doesn't stop her from trying and building up strength she never thought she could have.

Did I see that ending coming? Nope
Am I extremely happy that I have the ARC for book 2? 100% I think I would cry if I didn't. I desperately need to know what happens next after that twist dropped... and I am so relieved I dont have to wait for an undetermined release date to read the next chapter of their story.

Ok that is my review, I am off to go read Sacred Hope now

“𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙝, 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚, 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙮 𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡.’’

Arlo De Santis, you might just be perfect 😮‍💨 Golden Retriever vibes but deadly as hell (did I mention he’s an assassin?). The way he makes Blair his entire world and will gladly burn it all down for her? Obsessed. He takes 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙞𝙚 to a whole new level and it’s frickin’ HOT 🔥 And when he calls her butterfly? Instant puddle.

“𝘿𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙢𝙚,’’ 𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧. “𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙗𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙢𝙚.’’

After reading Kortlek, I 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙙 more of Arlo and Blair. Scarred Sins is book 1 in the Divine Gore series, telling the story of how they met and setting up what’s looking like an epic revenge plot in book 2.

𝙃𝙚𝙧 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚.

Blair comes from an abusive, horrific past and meets Arlo while in prison. To say he becomes obsessed with her would be an understatement 😂 I seriously love them together. Arlo’s love is intense, but he’s so gentle and patient with her. And Blair, despite her trauma, rises into a strong and fierce contender. They balance each other - they’re good for each other. Another great read from Kat King!

Speechless!
I love Blair and Arlo so much. I’m so glad I read the first part of their story just in time for Scarred Hope.

The ending BLEW my mind — but honestly, you can’t expect anything less from Kat. She knows exactly how to write the kind of stories I love and devour every time.

Everything about this book is so complex. Arlo is the ultimate dark romance book boyfriend — I will die on that hill! I totally get why he’s Kat’s favorite. Blair has had nothing but bad luck her whole life; she’s utterly broken and small… until she meets Arlo.
Is he her stalker? Yes.
Does he have an unhealthy obsession with her? Also, yes.
But he’s also kept her safe for years.

Blair, on the other hand, is just as possessive of Arlo. As their feelings grow, you know they’ll never be able to live without each other.

I honestly can’t choose between any of Kat’s characters, but Arlo and Blair are by far the most complex of them all. Anyway, you can just call me the president of the Kat King fan club, because I love everything she writes! 💀🖤

🔥🔥

Scarred Sins by Kat King had me absolutely hooked. This book was emotional, dark, and full of heart. Blair is such a fierce, resilient heroine. She’s been through hell but refuses to break, and watching her rise up and take her power back had me cheering for her the entire time.

And Arlo? My heart. He’s terrifying to everyone else but soft when it comes to Blair. He’s this perfect mix of dangerous and protective, a man who would burn the world down if it meant keeping her safe. The way he loves her quietly, fiercely, completely made me melt.

The plot had everything. Revenge. Healing. Found family moments that made me tear up. It’s dark and emotional, but it also has so much love woven through it. You can feel every ounce of pain, strength, and connection between these characters.

The spice is light, but it fits the story perfectly. It’s more about emotion and depth than heat, and it still left my heart racing.

Kat King once again delivered a story that broke me a little and healed me at the same time. Blair and Arlo are everything. I’m obsessed.

I would like to be part of the DeSantis Family please! This whole family of amazing assassins can adopt me anytime. This story follows Arlo and Blair.
Arlo, the white haired man who would murder everyone in a prison just so she can escape. Who puts cameras everywhere including a cat’s collar just to watch her every move. Who can play the piano one minute and inflict violence in another. But who is irrevocably unapologetically obsessed with Blair.
Blair, our leading lady had a very traumatic past inflicted on her by her parents. After years of abuse, she took matters into her own hands which ultimately resulted in her imprisonment. After her escape, she starts receiving mysterious packages in the mail from someone.
Arlo and Blair have this dynamic together that is magnetic and all consuming. Training her to be able to slay her former demons and heal from the inside out.
This cliff hanger absolutely ripped my heart to shreds and I’ll be patiently awaiting book 2.

I am not okay! This book ripped me into pieces for the entirety of the chapters. Kat has done it again with her words and drove my heart into shattered pieces just with two characters that stole my heart.

I’m sobbing my eyes out.. I can’t even describe how much this book broke me. Blair & Arlo stole my heart in Kortlek and now being in their heads my heart is even more broken for them.

That cliffhanger has me in shambles and I can’t even begin to explain how much I need my questions answered! I need more of this and I need my own answers to what the hell I just read…

I can’t- I’m broken into pieces.. I need some answers.. I need book 2 before I can go on in this new book world… Kat you have truly ruined me…

This was 3.5 stars for me. Honestly, i love how Blair is portrayed given her backstory. Like how her life reflects what she’s been through and it’s not just a backstory and a new life (if that makes sense). I definitely appreciate that arlo hasn’t pressured her for anything and not even when it’s his chapters it’s not mentioned a million times how he wants sex with her or anything like that. He’s just content the way they are.
This was pretty insta-love but also didn’t really feel like a love story too much.
I look forward to the next book where I’m sure a lot more will develop!
*I received this as an arc*

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Dark, twisted, and utterly addictive. Scarred Sins is a brutal romance drenched in obsession, revenge, and power. Arlo De Santis is terrifying and magnetic, while the heroine Briar is a survivor turned queen of her own darkness. It’s not for the faint of heart—but if you crave toxic devotion and violent passion, this book will grip you from start to finish.

Content Warnings: Graphic violence, stalking, trauma, obsessive behavior, toxic relationships, mentions of abuse and mental health struggles.

It left me disturbed... and completely hooked.
Thank you for the ARC Kat King 💜

I need the next book like right now!!

Okay, so I just finished this book and it was amazing. The dynamic of the De Santis family is unmatched; it's like a family of badass assassins. Arlo and Blair are such a cute couple and the way Arlo fell for her is just 😮‍💨🤭

Blair is such a brave soul, my heart aches for her and everything she went through. How brave is she? Unreal.

Also, I need to say that this book doesn't have any tiny bit of spice. That was such a refreshing thing for a dark romance. Although this is just the first book of the trilogy (I think?)

I can't wait for the second book to come out as I need it right now😩

I was given this as an ARC book and very happy, blessed, and thankful for it.

Another read from Kat King and I'm excited to read more.

First James, now Arlo. This list of amazing characters just keep growing.

Only reason why I put this book down is becuase I had to get some sleep for work.
Wonderful story building and kept me hooked and wanting more.

There isn't much smut or at all really, or atleast not what im used to. And yet I was still able to enjoy the story as a whole. It was a great cleanser for the old noggin lol.

Ready for book 2 ..... thanks again Ms. Kat.

Watch and read for the trigger warnings and as always happy reading ☺️.

Enjoy everyone and happy reading.

I enjoyed this book more than the two before but I still loved them both between Hudson and Noelle or Cove and Aria. The suspense and story building between Blair and Arlo and knowing they met previous times shocked me but I was so happy to know she has someone in her past loved her or cared.
The layers of the book 10/10! with the development of characters and the plot I enjoyed the book way more and I’m so interested to see what happens to Blair and Arlo, now that Ekatherina is involved and also Freya, I’m so excited.

Overall I loved the book and Arlo you are an angel.

I loved this heart-wrenching story. She was sold to men by her mother and step-father. All she has ever know was pain and betrayal. But she bided her time and killed her parents and even gave herself up. Whilst she was looked up she became friends with a doctor who looked after her injuries and have her treats. One day, she finds everyone dead and gains her freedom. She hides away but someone is stalking her. He sent her information about a new identity, clothes and gifts. Is it strange that she isn't really scared?!

3.5 rounded up

I’m not sure why this took me so long to read, because I really was enjoying it when I picked it up to read. I think it must have just been a very distractible week for me 🤷‍♀️

I love a badass FMC, and even though Blair doesn’t see herself that way, she absolutely is.

I loved the support Arlo gives her and allows her the time and space to grow into her badassery even more.

I just learned that this is connected to some other books and I am definitely interested enough in this family to want to read more about them!

The cliffhanger got me and I’m interested in how the story continues so I will definitely be reading the rest when they come out.
