Blake, is a wolf, he's out in the forest looking for his brother. Unfortunately he runs into what he calls betas. When he has to fight, his alpha power comes out.After he takes them all out he keeps looking for his brother. He comes across a female who's injured and has to make a decision...so he bites her.
Aurora lives in Savannah and has just been called into to the office where she's told she's fired. But at least she gets a severance package. She leaves and finds a bar where she goes in. The barkeep gives her a drink. A man named Devon comes over to talk with her.When she leaves the bar she heads home then she sees yellow eyes and she runs. Only she is caught and claws rip at her. Blake finds her and takes her to his place to heal. To save her he had to bite her and turn her. But he has to keep looking for his brother. He tells her he'll be back. He picks up some scents and follow them. He finds someone who was with his brother, Tam is also looking for Dani. So Blake sends him to the cabin to watch it from the outside. He continues to search.
He finally finds him but he's badly injured. Dani tells him who did it and then dies. He takes his brother's body back to the cabin. There Aurora offers comfort just putting her hand on him. She understands loss since she lost her father five years before.
Now he's got someone in his sights,Silfon who was banished after killing a pack member, that he thinks had a hand in his brother's death.Tam is with him. He hears the wolf admit to getting rid of his brother. He follows him and gets some answers but he leaves him alive with the threat he has a new enemy and one who will be watching.
Blake had set up an interview for her and told her if something weird happened to call him. She gets the interview and job and heads home. She sees a figure in her bathroom and he attacks. Only he doesn't reach her, Blake arrives in time. That is when he finds out that some one wants to kill her because she's his fated mate and that someone wants to stop the prophecy from happening.
Then Aurora's mother returns. Devon finally tells her what he plans. He wants to be the alpha of all alphas and to do that he needs to steal the alpha's powers. But Blake's family is strong and he couldn't take Blake's father's power but maybe he can make him cave by killing his fated mate.
Fated mates, prophecy, wolves and evil wolves. Aurora;s life has turned upside down. Will she safe with Blake? Will Blake be able to save her?
A story that winds in and out and will leave the reader guessing till the end.

This is an intriguing book about love, loss and redemption. When Blake was out looking for his brother, he stumbles upon Aurora who was injured and close to death and to save her he bites. She is devastated by his actions and although she is drawn to him, she can't help but feel manipulated, so she leaves. Blake has endured so much, and he has trouble following him by way of an alpha who goes around killing other alphas. The twists and turns that this story takes had my emotions all over the place and cheering on Aurora and Blake t get their chance to finally get their chance for happiness.

Great story.
Blake is a wolf shifter, who is looking for his missing younger brother. He comes across a woman that is seriously wounded. He decides to help her by biting her. He saves her but now she is a shifter also. Aurora feels used. I enjoyed the story. The author develops the main characters. She keeps you wanting to find out what happens next. I am positive you won’t be able to put this book down. Enjoy!!

A nice little way to wrap up Aurora and Blake’s story.
The story was interesting and kept me engaged the entire way through.
Sometimes dual POV is hard to follow and poorly written, but this author did it well. There was definitely more ‘show’ than ‘tell’ which is huge bonus!
The ending was … unexpected…. But left room for more. Maybe an epilogue with their future maybe?.

Wow Blake and Aurora so much to say about this relationship. Both loosing so many people they love and still fearing their destiny with each other. The heartbreak of them having to find their own way apart from each other and the struggles that lead them back to each other. Truly loved this story!

A fantastic wolf shifter story by Sara Wind. There is lots of action, some gore, betrayal, twists and turns. A gripping story that keeps you turning the pages. The characters are all well developed and engaging. And Sara's world building skills are simply amazing and they absorb you right into the story! An absolute must read!

The first book was about Blake's cousin, and this one is how he got together with Aurora. It is a sad story of what all happens to them and how they drift apart only for fate to bring them back together. After Blake dispenses with the first alpha who killed his brother, he has to take on another because of Aurora. It is a really good read if you love a good werewolf love story.

I can not read sometthing that constantly repeats itself. And we all know wolf shifts have enhanced abilities, no need to say it with ever motion they make. I made it 71 pages in and just couldn’t finish it.

This was a decent book. It just felt a bit choppy. Like in some areas it would be detailed on what's happening and then next it would gloss over the following part. I think the base of the story is fantastic. And overall I did mostly enjoy this book.

This is the first time I’ve read a book by Sara Wind. I really liked it so much so that I’ll continue reading her books. This paranormal story has action, suspense and romance.
