Fameverse #1

Claimed by the Band

What happens when a secret girl omega disguised as a male beta captures the attention of the hottest rock band in the world?

I’ve spent years waging war in the shadows, hiding my identity and taking down alphas who target omegas. Then a hate-fueled attack targets Asher Wilde, the fearless omega frontman of Wild Honey, and I’m called out to the front lines.

It started as just a favor to a contact. Help the band track down the extremists behind the attack from the safety of my digital fortress. No face-to-face meetings, no strings, no risk.

I wasn’t counting on Asher and the rest of the pack—Damon, Knox, Silas, and Dante—to pull me into their world of rockstar glamor, luxurious tour bus nests, and other temptations that have my inner omega clawing to the surface.

Asher and his pack of rock star alphas are dangerous enough with their constant flirtation, spoiling, and heated gazes that seem to see right through my disguise. And that scares the hell out of me.

Especially when I realize the group that’s stalking Asher might be connected to the alpha cult I’ve been running from for nine years.

I’m really intrigued by the plot of this book and debated pushing through so it could grow on me, but I decided to stop after hearing that Asher occasionally “beds” other omegas. I think it’s strange to be in a pack where everyone is supposedly super dedicated to each other but one member is still seeking additional partners. If it was some irresistible attraction (eg, scent match), that’s one thing but these were just casual partners.

The thing that really bugged me, however, was the expectation that a hacker should join them on tour while trying to figure out who was behind the attack. I kept feeling like I didn’t know what a hacker was or maybe that I mistook what Jordan was. I could get if she were a detective or ex military or something similar, because then being in person would actually make some sense. But, as a hacker, she mainly just needs computers to do her job. I was looking for more explanation on why she would need to join them on tour and I didn’t get it in the part that I read.

Really bad. The pacing was all off. The pack alphas were pretty much all the same. Not distinguishable at all. The ending where they pull a sting and catch the bad guys was so unrealistic, like these civilians would be telling police what to do. And the fact that they loved eachother after pretty much nothing.

Do not recommend.

I was totally invested in the beginning girl hacker with a secret identity pretending to be a beta with the hottest band!

However, its just one of those books where i sometimes cant determine which mmc is who or distinguish them. Sometimes I mistake damon for dante and silas for dante it will come clear ish later on? Im not sure. The prominent character was the fmc, the male omega asher, and Dante, and Knox, the others i just cant see them in my head.

The pacing was great up until like 60-75% i decided to stop because i kept skimming the pages 🥹 and it takes a while.

So if you like

Why choose
Omegaverse with mm
With two omegas
Hidden identity
Female omega pretending to be a male beta
Found family
Close proximity
Golden retriever omega
With some broody alphas
Rockstars

Then you could give it a go!

DNF,
Book can’t decide what a hacker is.
And if echo is a hacker, investor, detective or Batman.
Then there’s the omega who sleeps around outside of the pack with the pack of bland interchangeable alphas.
I really wanted to like this as I’ve liked authors other works before but this has turned me off

Premise: The FMC is a vigilante hacker who is running from her past, living in disguise as a male beta. The MMCs are members of a rock band whose concert was targeted because their omega frontman is outspoken about omega rights. They ask the mysterious hacker for help in uncovering who is behind the attacks.

I really liked the first half of this book, which was engaging despite being completely unrealistic 😅. It was very slow burn and something about the story called to the fanfic lover in me, but I started to lose interest in the second half. I didn’t love the execution of the suspense plot, but I also *still* couldn’t tell some of the alphas apart.

I think this could have been great with some editing, 40% less page count (the book was close to 600 pages), and half the alphas.

Jordan has spent years off the grid—hiding her past, her identity, and the truth about what she really is. As a hacker known as Echo, a supposedly male beta, she’s been taking down dangerous groups from behind a screen. But when the world’s biggest rock band, Wild Honey, is targeted in a brutal attack, she’s forced to step out of the shadows. The deeper she digs, the more she realizes this isn’t just about the band. It’s about them—the extremist cult she barely escaped. And they’re closing in. Asher has never played by the rules. An omega fronting an all-alpha band, he’s spent his career proving he won’t be silenced and is supported by his alphas, Knox, Silas, Dante, and Damon. When the attack puts the pack in danger, Asher refuses to back down. And when Echo—the guarded, sharp-tongued hacker helping them—turns out to be so much more than she claimed, Asher knows one thing for sure. He’s not letting her run. Not from them. Not from him. But secrets have a way of unraveling, and when Jordan’s disguise shatters, she’s left with a choice—keep running, or finally let herself be claimed by the pack. A steamy, action-packed, emotional, omegaverse, RH, rockstar romance, where everybody plays, exploring connection, survival, found family, and love that refuses to be hidden.

I finished this is 1 day! Once I started i couldn't stop reading.
I loved the plot and the characters.
This had all the feels, sexual tension, spicy goodness, and a bit of suspense.

I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of mm, mostly because I always worry the FMC will be left out. That was never the case with this book. Asher was crazy about Jordan. The spice between them all was so hot. The love between them was beautiful and real. I also loved the whole pack dynamics too.
I felt like things were wrapped up nicely and the ending was perfect!
I loved it!

I sincerely almost dnf this one. While the premise itself was fine, and I didn’t download this thinking it would be a literary masterpiece, something about the 1-2 dimensionality of all of the characters and the pacing kept pulling me out of the story. Even the fmc’s transition from deep in hiding and under the radar to confident omega reclaiming her identity felt forced, like the author had to tell the audience these things directly because there wasn’t enough nuance or plot to discover it organically. This is likely tied directly to the lack of mmc development as well. They collectively felt interchangeably hot and protective, but not much else. In terms of personality, I couldn’t easily distinguish one from the other, thus making it harder to determine why after 9 years the fmc would throw all caution and survival instincts to the wind to join them.
Not even the final confrontations or spicy snippets were compelling enough to make finishing the story feel truly worth the effort.

3.75⭐️ rounded up. The relationships were sweet although it did feel like Asher got the most screen time and attention. My biggest gripes are that the whole rockstar thing was just background noise; it was such a small element of this book. On a similar note, a lot of the plot required me to suspend my disbelief and ignore how unrealistic a lot of this went down.

2.5 🌟 After the beginng thirdish, this became so rote and empty. I couldn't really telk the difference between the guys, and I'm pretty sure the authors periodically forgot about Damon/Dante. Everyone fell in love pretty much immediatley, and everything interesting about Jordan dissappeared the moment she had sex.

Easy to read omegaverse standalone. A few editing and spelling errors. Plot was fresh to me and what drew me in and then held my attention.

RH w MM NO FF
2 omegas
Fmc hides as a male beta.
HEA
Fmc ran away from her family at 16 who ran a cult.
MMC’s are band mates and pack mates

No bullying
No 3rd act breakup
No OW or OM drama
KU
Mid spice and it all starts 70% into the story.

Sometimes it’s nice to read a low angst romance book. This was it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ No it’s not winning any literary awards but it’s cute.

Claimed by The Band is the 1st book in the Flameverse series by Harper Lennox. Harper is a new author to me and I have to say that I was just blown away by the depth and breadth of the story that she has woven here. It captivates you from the very first page and doesn't let you go till you have read the very last syllable. In the world Harper has created we find like in other worlds there are Alphas, Betas, and Omegas and each one serves their own purpose to the community and they are each vital to their way of life. Without one, the community would fail to thrive.

Jordan has been running for years, longer than she can honestly remember. When she emerged as an omega her family used this status to keep her under their heel and their control. You truly understand and feel just how crazy, insane, and cultish her family is. Jordan has been through unimaginable terrors. All Jordan wants is to see the insane and crazy Alphas stopped from controlling and oppressing all those they see as below them, especially those who are Omegas. Jordan has learned how to make the digital world her home and people pay her to find and hurt those who hurt with more than just their words.

There was never a time when Jordan had imagined that she was going to get drawn into the band. They are trying to fight off their own haters as they have an Omega as their lead and all the rest of his bandmates are Alphas. To a degree, this could be called a reverse harem, but it's never just about sex for any one of them. This is far from it. Jordan has been spending the last several years in the public as Echo, a man, and all she's wanted is to blend in as a man and she's done it at all costs.

Jordan never expected Asher, the lead singer, to draw her in and help her forget that she's been on the run for all these years and that she could let someone in to know the real her and accept who she is.

On Asher's side, he never once thought that he would be so drawn to Jordan. Even when she was fighting to maintain her identity as Echo, he still knew that Jordan/Echo was something special and he wanted to get to know them better. I just loved how kind, caring, soft, and sweet Asher is and yet he knows when he needs to take the lead and he knows how to do just that.

I also loved how it wasn't just Asher who was drawn to Jordan and felt like she was special. Damon, Knox, Silas, and Dante are also drawn to her and as they are all Alpha's they have unique strengths and personalities and yet they know just how to make Asher shine and in time they help Jordan find her own way to shine as well.

The relationships that they all build together is just beautiful and the way it forms just seems so natural. The way that Damon, Knox, Silas, and Dante understand that there has to be a good reason that Asher is attracted to Jordan and can't get her out of his mind is mind-blowing. I love how they understand that even though he loves and cares about them, there's still a piece of him that's missing and he has to step out of their pack to fill that need and they never once try and stop him from doing what he needs to do. I felt like they were all just waiting for Jordan's arrival.

I love the way that Damon, Knox, Silas, Dante, Asher, and Jordan all stick together, protect each other, have each other's backs, and even work together to eliminate the threat to Asher and all the other Omegas. It was stunning to see the lengths that Damon, Knox, Silas, and Dante would go to in order to show just how much they supported not only Asher but also Jordan.

I love the way that the entire band embraces and accepts Jordan without any anger or upset when she finally removes her disguise and reveals that she's not Echo the man, that she is Jordan a woman and not a Beta but an Omega. They just love and support her and it felt so genuine that it brought tears to my eyes.

I loved this book so much and I enjoyed it. Harper gave us all the action and drama that we could ever want. She gave us a kick-ass FMC who just wanted to help others, she gave us a group of accepting MMCs, and she reminded us that it's important that we accept all people from all different walks of life. And believe you me, you are not going to mind what so ever slowly reading and devouring Jordan goes through her heart and the lengths that the entire band, Omega Asher included, help her get through it comfortably.

This is going to be a story that you never once expected you'd be reading, the novel that you never imagined you'd ever find yourself picking up, but you're going to find yourself curling up and feeling like you're finally home with the Band.

I highly recommend this great read. Harper Lennox and River Ramsey did a knockout job in writing this amazing book. I look forward to reading whatever Harper and River write next, they are 2 authors that I am going to be watching for in the future.

This is a new author read for me. I was blown away by the depth of this story. It had your attention from the beginning. We are in another realm where there are Alpha, beta, and omega's. They all have different purposes, but vital to the ways of life.

Jordan has been on the run for longer than she can remember. Her family used her Omega status to keep her down, and controlled. You really get a feel of the craziness of her cultish family. She has been through terror we all couldn't almost imagine. She just wants to stop some of the crazy Alpha's from oppressing everyone below them, especially Omega's. She has learned how to control the digital world and make people pay in ways in today's society that hurt more than just words.

She didn't expect to be drawn into the Band, who are fighting off their own hate as an Omega as their lead, and his mates being all Alpha's. There is somewhat of reverse haram to a degree, but it wasn't just about sex. Far, FAR from it. She has spent the last several years pretending to be a man,Echo, and blending in at all cost.

She didn't expect the enigmatic lead singer, Asher, to draw her in. To make her forget she's running, and someone who could know the real her. Asher didn't expect to be so drawn to Jordan. Even as she maintained her male status, he just knew she was something special. I love how Asher is soft and sweet, but knows how to be a lead when needed.

Also how the mates band and in life, are drawn to Jordan as well. As Alpha's they have unique strengths, and personalities but they all make Asher shine, and in time....Jordan. I love the relationships they form. how they know there has to be a reason Asher is drawn to Jordan. They always knew he didn't feel 100% complete and sometimes has to step out to meet a need. It was like they were all waiting for Jordan.

They all really stick together to protect each other, and try to get rid of the threat against Asher and all over Omega's. I was really touched by the lengths they go to, and the show of support. When Jordan finally does admit she's not just an Omega, not the Beta she was pretending to be. Asher especially but ALL of them show her love and support. She doesn't even know what to do with all of it, but knows its genuine.

I just overall felt this book was fantastic. It gave us the action, the drama, the post of wanting to help others, accepting people at all walks of life, and realizing when they meet the Ones that complete them. Don't get me wrong, you won't mind slowly but ravishingly reading through watching Jordan go through heat and the lengths they go to to help her though it.

Its the novel you didn't expect, the story you couldn't have imagined yourself, but find yourself right at home along the Band.

I'm late with this review and I'd like to apologize to the author for my tardiness. Life comes at you fast and sometimes declines to politely wait in line for our attention.

Having said that, on to the review!

This is the best A, B, O contemporary romance I've read in a long time. The author took her time and fleshed out the challenges the FMC was facing and the burdensome lifestyle she was forced into to hide who and what she was. The reader is clued in immediately so this isn't a spoiler. It also isn't a true transgender persona. The FMC character literally became a male beta for survival. She almost murdered her actual Omega nature simply to become invisible to the very real threats she faced in her childhood and early adulthood (if you can call 16yo "early adulthood," but I'd argue Echo grew up way too fast in a harsh and unforgiving environment). Forcing invisibility on yourself for survival must be a crushing feeling for a human's id and ego.

The MMC's are supportive, loving, kind, protective but not smothering and of course, handsome. Asher, the male omega in the band is the star of the show both personally and professionally and I'd have given much for a relationship like his and Echo's in my youth before I found my own Prince Charming. He's funny, strong, soft but unbelievably supportive. I wanted to crawl onto the page and into his arms just for a hug infused with all the loving attention he brings to bear to Echo's situation. The rest of the MMC are also wonderful although I had a bit of trouble telling the characters apart until their individual personalities showed through the writing, which was excellent, and the editing, which was extremely professional. I think I found 3 typos in the whole book.

Echo's situation and the attack on the band for being Omega rights activists dovetails and can be pretty dark, so fair warning there, but it all works out in the end for a HEA. The plot ends a bit too easily, a fact which the author acknowledges, but on a whole was satisfying. Overall, I'm grateful for the opportunity to review this one. The smut is definitely smutty, so be prepared, but it's in service to the story and Echo's trust issues means nobody falls into bed immediately, but when it happens, it's oh so satisfying.

Due to aforementioned smut, this is obviously an 18+ book and I'd recommend it every day and twice on Sundays if ABO romance is your thing or you'd like to give a try. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A first from the author for me, and I would definitely read more.

All the good things:
- Unlike MANY other books I've read where the real gender is revealed within a chapter or two, we're more than halfway through the book before the FMC reveals her gender. Delightful! A real plot!
- Due to the above this is slloooowwwww burn with an omega with a big crush and some very amused alphas and it was very cute.
- Unlike others, loved the fact that this was a standalone. I'm not sure why omegaverses in particular seem to trend towards multi-book series, but sometimes I just have no patience for it and want a squishy omegaverse that's a one and done.
- Speaking of...this is squishy and gooey and sappy and very sweet. No notes.
- The FMC is not a wilting flower, despite her pain she's made quite a life for herself, even if it's as a different gender.
- It's a quick read! I was done in two days and couldn't put it down.

Some of the things that could have been improved:
- The four alphas blend, there's no ifs/ands/buts about it, and the fact that two were Damon/Dante didn't help! Knox was the only relatively identifiable one and that's just because he was the token grumpy one. We got the POVs and might as well have not, they added nothing to the alpha's character development. Hazard of a standalone book for sure, but we could have chopped four pages of their nesting shopping trip out for some more backstory on these dudes!
- There's a little m/m but I honestly could have used a little more casual affection amongst the pack, even though the author did pointedly say this was going to be mostly FMC-focused. For several of the spice scenes, characters just entirely disappear. Let us see them cuddling or something.
- ALSO, related to the point above...there is, I think, NO affection/spice between the alphas? Again leaving us in scenarios where two or three parties are hooking up and everyone else is just...watching? IDK, my fav dynamic is "everyone bangs" so I am definitely just biased here.
- It could have used one more pass by a copy editor. There's some mis-used words, some weird continuity issues, etc. This alone does not warrant a docked star, just thought I'd mention it!

Overall I did love it, will happily read more by this author, and would honestly enthusiastically recommend this to someone who maybe isn't quite ready for the "everyone bangs" OV stories that I'm constantly shoving into my brain.

This is the kind of story I yearn for when I read omegaverses. I love any and all omegaverses but there is just something extra special about the omegaverses that include some sort of danger to the omega, or omegas have less rights, or evil cults with messed up beliefs on designations. It makes for excitement and drama but most of all its in these stories that we get strong resilient omegas that are forced to fight for every little thing they have. I also think that books where there is a male and female omega gives that little bit extra. I know that typically omegas are territorial, but I just love when there are two omegas in a pack because I love the way they interact with each other. The authors did a great job of writing a story that grabbed my attention and made me want to keep reading.

I love a female omega like Jordan. She is amazing at what she does and she has had to be a fighter in order to be where she is in her life. She lives a life where she pretends to be a male beta because of the world she lives in and the world she used to live in. This is exactly what I want in an omega. I also love an omega like Asher. He is a fighter in a different way. He uses his fame and notoriety to speak for omegas. He is the front man in a band consisting of him and the rest alphas. He is outspoken and doesn’t back down, even when he is threatened. The alphas in the band all are unique and have their own strengths and weaknesses, but they always back up and support their omega. They don’t dominate him and he wouldn’t allow that of himself.

This is the kind of omegaverse I love to read. It has a story beyond the pack. It has strong omegas and supportive alphas. Like you would expect in an omegaverse, there was plenty of spice within the pack. I love the chemistry between all of them and I found this to be an enjoyable read. It is on the longer side, but it is worth it if you enjoy your omegaverses with intrigue and plot. It is more than just a pack coming together, but it is still an amazing connection between the entire pack, especially Jordan and Asher.

Cat’s Stats
Alphas: Silas, Damon, Dante, and Knox
Omegas: Jordan (f) and Asher (m)
Heat- Asher is in a relationship with the four alphas at the start of the book, but the alphas are not with each other, although they don’t freak out about inadvertent touching during sexytime. Later, Jordan is in a relationship with all five. Includes heat, slick, knotting, m/m, m/f, m/f/m, m/m/m… and it’s open door and explicit.
Safety- Asher is the Omegaverse version of Bisexual: he likes to be with his alphas and also outside omegas. Seeking out the intimate company of another omega is not considered cheating as far as the pack goes, as they’ve all agreed to it and the alphas are not with any outside omegas until they meet Jordan (whom they think is a male beta) and Asher brings her into the pack. So, basically what I’m saying is, YMMV.
Triggers- one character was the victim of a cult and has pretty severe PTSD as a result. This may be triggering.
Tropes- Instalove, Why Choose/RH, Nesting, Heat, Knotting, Victor/Victoria, Abused Heroine On the Run.
Mewsings
A lot of Omegaverse novels are really allegorical, and this one is not an exception. It’s a feminist book, with omegas representing the oppression of women and to an extent LGBTQ persons. In this ficton, omegas are marginalized and oppressed. The prevailing view is that they should stay in the domestic sphere and not work or occupy the spotlight. In this world, there are also chemicals that work as r00fies or date grape drugs, and free will is a theme. As is agency. The book has got a lot going on, and it is not in the least subtle about it. 3/5 of the guys are distinct personalities (Dante and Damon not so much), and those three are quite well developed.
I enjoyed this book, despite it being blatantly polemic. Or maybe because of it. I liked the depth, would have liked it to be a little more subtle. The plot device of the female omega living in hiding as a male beta was very clever and certainly original as far as my reading experience is concerned. So I gave the book 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 stars because Goodreads.

I've been looking forward to this book since I read the blurb months ago.

Jordan is an omega disguised as a male beta exacting justice for omegas, one hack at a time. Eventually she agrees to take a job for a rock band whose omega frontman, Asher, is targeted in hate crimes. Asher proves to be a relentless flirt and she acquiesces to his pleas to work with them in person. Soon she has to deal with not just the omega but his Alphas (Damon, Knox, Silas, and Dante) as well. That's a lot for an omega that avoids people at all costs. Especially one that is hiding away from her religious cult family.

This was an absorbing story that had a great plot. There was a bit of mystery and intrigue with the pack trying to figure out who the people orchestrating the attacks are and the intriguing plot device of synthetically produced alpha pheromones and heat sprays. How does her family play into this? I was actually surprised at how quickly this plot was resolved though but since it's a standalone, I get it.

Then we have the little issue of our female omega...what happens when something trips her heat? Will her secret stay hidden, will they reject her if they find out about her deception? If you're looking for spice, this is a slow burn so it'll happen toward the later third of the book. But you'll find that there is enough banter and plot, you'll look forward to when it does happen.

The characters, Asher and Jordan are well-written. I appreciate a male like Asher who definitely doesn't fit the mold of a typical omega. The Alphas were pleasant but cookie cutter. I can't tell the difference between them, except Knox was the hesitant one. However, the interactions with the pack are fun as they do come around to accept her pretty quickly.

Wowie wowiewow!!!!!!

I absolutely loved this omegaverse romance!!!

It was definitely a unique spin on an omega story in that the FMC is a secret omega who’s been living a secret life disguised as a male beta hacker, sort of an anonymous vigilante hacker fighting for the good guys and omegas rights… but never making any true connections. She has 2 people that she has remote connections with, Marie, her police/lab source and Ace, a fellow hacker that’s her handler for jobs, for lack of a better description. But she’s never even met either of them in person. She’s been in hiding from a cult for 9 years! Suppressing her omega nature with blockers and suppressants, hiding her physical identity and basically denying herself of her omega nature… as a means to survive…

That is until Ace offers her a job trying to figure out who tried to sabotage Wild Honey’s Omega lead singer, Asher, and by extension his pack/band, by releasing a potent pheromone chemical agent at one of their concerts designed to drive all the alphas in the vicinity mad with lust. She hesitantly agrees to take the case but insists it be remotely at first. But Ashers charm starts to break through her walls…. When she actually has to meet the whole band in person and start working with them to bring down this hate group will she be able to keep her walls up? What will they think of her if they find out she’s been lying to them?

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is an awesome story, about love, acceptance, courage, perseverance, strength, and finding your place. There’s danger, suspense, passions and intrigue. The depth of character for Jordan(Echo) and Asher in particular is wonderfully done. There’s only minimally less depth for the alphas in their pack but they are all still wonderful characters. The steamy parts are of course amazing.

These were new writers for me and I will definitely look for more from them.

Excellent omegaverse

Jordan, a resourceful and independent Omega, is living life on the run, cleverly concealing her true identity by masquerading as a male Beta. Haunted by a past she's desperate to escape, she avoids any form of emotional entanglement. That is, until she's presented with an offer she can't refuse: to utilise her exceptional hacking skills to assist the band, Wild Honey, in uncovering the mystery behind a violent attack that occurred during their recent concert.

Within Wild Honey, you'll find Asher, the charismatic and captivating lead vocalist, who also happens to be an Omega. His bandmates, Dante, Knox, Silas, and Damon, are his fiercely protective Alphas, and band mates.

This book is an absolute gem. The writing is excellent, the attention to detail is impressive, and the storyline is cleverly plotted and executed. Expect plenty of witty banter, intriguing secrets, laugh-out-loud moments, and a touch of angst to keep you on the edge of your seat. The slow-burn spice is expertly woven into the narrative, enhancing the story without overshadowing it.

The characters are brilliantly developed, but Asher truly shines. He embodies the spirit of an Alpha within an Omega's body, displaying possessiveness, protectiveness, and an undeniable sweetness. His inherent kindness radiates from the pages, drawing you in from the very beginning. You can't help but fall for him.

On a side note, I particularly enjoyed discovering some unique piercing types that I hadn't encountered before (cue a very interesting internet search!). It's these little details that add an extra layer of depth and intrigue to the world-building.

If you're a fan of omegaverse, heats, knots, and the dynamic of two Omega packs, then this is definitely the book for you. Prepare to be swept away by a captivating story filled with compelling characters, thrilling plot twists, and a whole lot of heart.

DNF 62% At this point I have enough content to rate it, and I give it 2🌟🌟

What can I say? 😔 I read this book with the passion of a girl in love who, blinded by idealization, overlooks the flaws of her beloved (the book😉).

And look—I saw the signs, but I clung to the reading in a state of denial, intoxicated by the presence of two of my favorite tropes: "Male Omega" + a strong female protagonist who hides her true identity.

However, as in every one-sided relationship (me + book), there comes a moment when reality imposes itself.

And at 62%, in an act of courage, I decided to free myself and left the book halfway through, aware that it didn’t satisfy me and that the connection I longed for was nonexistent.

And why is that? 🤔

Well, because the book focuses almost exclusively on Asher’s obsession, the Male Omega of the pack, with our protagonist. This focus sidelines the development of the relationship with the alphas, so that when the crucial moment arrives, the connection between them and our girl feels rushed; it almost seems like a fraternal love disguised as lust. 💔✨

I believe this happens due to Jordan’s elusive attitude, which prevents it from being discovered that she is, a girl and also an omega. This blocks all the opportunities our guys had with her. 🤐🌟

Apart from that, I must say it is a well-written book. I loved not finding the typical harem that mistreats the feminine—something I have grown tired of and do not appreciate at all. Instead, we find a pack, albeit cautious, always respectable, kind, and friendly, that takes care of each of its members with great care. ❤️

FINAL DECISION
I give it my 2 stars, thanks to the incorporation of uncommon tropes in reverse harem books – such as the Male Omega and the hiding of the feminine’s identity – coupled with good writing and a pack with manners, respectful and warm. 🌟🌟

I got an ARC of this book.

Things I loved
Cults, dressing as a man for safety, omega seeking omega

I definitely saw the parallels between the war on omegas in the book and the war on women in the real world whether that was intentional or not by the authors. I hope it was!

Jordan aka Echo aka Alex (an omega) escaped an Alpha Supremacy cult as a teen and has been living as a beta male for 9 years. She takes military grade scent blockers and heat suppressors to maintain this façade in public but mostly isolates herself from the world. She is an amazing hacker and works to liberate omegas from horrible situations.

The band, Wild Honey, made up of Asher (an omega) and alphas Damon, Knox, Silas, and Dante, get attacked during their concert when unknown people disperse a bioweapon that hijacks alphas and causes them to go into an uncontrollable rut. They enlist Echo’s help to get to the bottom of it.

I adore Asher, he has all the usual omega grace and flirtation skills to wrap alphas around his finger, but he also likes to be with omegas as the dominating partner. Once he gets to know Echo/Jordan, he uses all of his wiles to woo her.

Growing up in a cult gave Jordan/Echo immense trust issues, feelings of worthlessness, and like she doesn’t deserve good things. The band goes at her pace throughout everything, earning her trust and continuously showing her she belongs and doesn’t have to face her fears alone.

My only complaint is that the four alphas don’t get fleshed out as much, unfortunately. Even their POV chapters just show what’s happening with a small amount of how they feel about it but there’s a lack of backstory and development. It’s hard to differentiate them.

RH MMMMM/Omegaverse/Multi PoV

SYNOPSIS: Nine years ago the FC, Jordan, managed to get away from an alpha cult that treated omegas like livestock. Since then she has turned herself into a male beta hacker and fought against abusive alphas from the shadows while living in solitude. There is an attack on the Omega front man of a band, Wild Honey, using alpha pheromone gas. Jordan is hired, initially remotely, to track down the alphas behind the attack. As time passes Jordan develops a relationship with the 4 alphas and omega pack, Wild Honey and comes out of the shadows. It transpires that the attack was not an isolated attack but linked to the cult from which the FC escaped. The story arc covers the developing relationship with Wild Honey and how Jordan reveals her true self to them whilst they track down and bring to justice the responsible Alphas.

The story is nicely written with limited typos. It moves at a good pace with some action to keep the reader interested. The FC is strong and intelligent and her character and background are well developed as are the MCs. Each MC is individual and likeable with the usual possessive alpha whilst Asher, the omega, is strong and fun. The dynamic works well and the story evolves nicely and that’s what this is, a nice story with limited angst or drama, an easy read.

The only frustration I have with this story is the climax which was underwhelming with no real information around the cult getting its comeuppance or being brought to justice. Just an aside comment. In fact the last almost 10% of the book revolves around a trip to the nesting store and then a heat session! Nothing added to the story 😄

Overall a nice easy read.
