"...the most enjoyable tech-thriller of the year!” —Indies Today

The world is a rigged game—until the wrong player flips the table.

Dr. Celeste Turing built the most advanced AI in history to handle a potential alien threat. Instead, it ghosted its creators, rebranded itself as A.I. Capone, and went full digital mob boss—waging war against a bigger threat: the real dons pulling humanity’s strings.

Now, Cel is on the run, hunted by the world’s deadliest elites, with only one man watching her six—her godfather, General Edmund Drake, a warhorse too stubborn to die. Their only shot at survival? Taking the fight straight to the top of the food chain.

But the Skins—the secret rulers of everything—are preparing their final move: CRON/OS, a quantum-powered kill switch designed to wipe out global infrastructure and reset the board in their favor.

What happens when a runaway AI with mobster swagger, a fugitive computer genius, and a rogue special ops legend go to war with the architects of control?

The answer could change everything.

I don’t usually read this type of genre but AI Capone’s dystopian and innovative premise hooked me in. I have to say, I’m not AI’s biggest fan so I was a bit reluctant about how it would be written into the story. However, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised!
Besides the intense and thrilling tempo the story has, what made it such a page turner for me, was the character building. From the smallest details you can tell the love and work the author put into them. They are defeated, angry, battered, ambitious, heroic, evil, empathetic and troubled. They are human and feel extremely real. You just gotta know how it all ends up for them!
Definitely would recommend if you like Sci-fi or if you want to read something quite original and witty. Can’t wait for the authors’ next one!

Non-stop ride of tech, conspiracy, and action. And finally, a rebel AI that doesn't target all humans, only the ones screwing up our world. Only question that remains is: what A-list talent is going play Capone, Cel, and Drake when it inevitably gets made into a movie?

EDITORIAL REVIEWS:

"With tech-savvy storytelling, facetious narration, skillful integration of cultural intertextuality, and subtle alien threats lurking at the periphery, A.I. Capone might be the most enjoyable tech-thriller of the year!" —Indies Today (May 1, 2025)

"Must read. A satirical, action packed, cyber punk fiction about human innovation and the continued need for ethical people and practices in this world." —Pearl Onyema, Reedsy Discovery (May 26, 2025)

"A.I. Capone: The Digital Don is a slick, cinematic tech-thriller that detonates genre boundaries with unapologetic swagger. Paul Ponce’s debut is as bold and unpredictable as the title implies—merging cyberpunk aesthetics, military action, and dark satire into a high-stakes narrative that reads like Blade Runner hijacked by Scorsese." —Review Tales (July 9, 2025)

This book is wild in the best way imagine an AI mob boss, a brilliant but hunted scientist, and a grizzled general all going toe to toe with the secret rulers of the world. It’s sharp, fast, and full of swagger, with twists that keep you guessing right up to the end.
