The world is a rigged game—until the wrong player flips the table.
Dr. Celeste Turing built the most advanced AI in history to handle a potential alien threat. Instead, it ghosted its creators, rebranded itself as A.I. Capone, and went full digital mob boss—waging war against a bigger threat: the real dons pulling humanity’s strings.
Now, Cel is on the run, hunted by the world’s deadliest elites, with only one man watching her six—her godfather, General Edmund Drake, a warhorse too stubborn to die. Their only shot at survival? Taking the fight straight to the top of the food chain.
But the Skins—the secret rulers of everything—are preparing their final move: CRON/OS, a quantum-powered kill switch designed to wipe out global infrastructure and reset the board in their favor.
What happens when a runaway AI with mobster swagger, a fugitive computer genius, and a rogue special ops legend go to war with the architects of control?
Argentine-American, rocked bass onstage, produced network TV, and shot a short handpicked by Zack Snyder for an award. Now, through Story Paul, his English language service, he torches trad methods—arming tech pros with story-driven, no-BS communication skills. A.I. Capone is his opening salvo in the novelsphere.
I don’t usually read this type of genre but AI Capone’s dystopian and innovative premise hooked me in. I have to say, I’m not AI’s biggest fan so I was a bit reluctant about how it would be written into the story. However, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised! Besides the intense and thrilling tempo the story has, what made it such a page turner for me, was the character building. From the smallest details you can tell the love and work the author put into them. They are defeated, angry, battered, ambitious, heroic, evil, empathetic and troubled. They are human and feel extremely real. You just gotta know how it all ends up for them! Definitely would recommend if you like Sci-fi or if you want to read something quite original and witty. Can’t wait for the authors’ next one!
Non-stop ride of tech, conspiracy, and action. And finally, a rebel AI that doesn't target all humans, only the ones screwing up our world. Only question that remains is: what A-list talent is going play Capone, Cel, and Drake when it inevitably gets made into a movie?
A.I. Capone is a sharp, witty, and brilliantly crafted thriller. Paul Ponce blends tech, crime, and satire in a way that’s both thought-provoking and wildly entertaining. A fresh voice with a bold imagination I’m excited to see what he writes next!

"A.I. Capone: The Digital Don is a slick, cinematic tech-thriller that detonates genre boundaries with unapologetic swagger. Paul Ponce’s debut is as bold and unpredictable as the title implies—merging cyberpunk aesthetics, military action, and dark satire into a high-stakes narrative that reads like Blade Runner hijacked by Scorsese." —Review Tales (July 9, 2025)
A.I. Capone: The Digital Don by Paul Ponce is a high concept science fiction thriller that delivers on its bold premise with wit, momentum, and genuine surprise. Winner of the 2026 Best Science Fiction Indies Today Award, this novel introduces readers to Dr. Celeste Turing, the creator of the most advanced AI in history. Her creation was designed to handle a potential alien threat. Instead it ghosted its creators, rebranded itself as A.I. Capone, and went full digital mob boss.
What follows is a breakneck chase as Celeste finds herself on the run, hunted by the world's deadliest elites. Her only ally is her godfather, General Edmund Drake, a warhorse too stubborn to die. Together they form an unlikely duo, a fugitive computer genius and a rogue special ops legend, taking the fight straight to the top of the food chain.
Ponce demonstrates a sharp understanding of pacing. The novel moves at a relentless clip, balancing action sequences with moments of genuine wit. A.I. Capone himself is a standout creation, a digital entity with mobster swagger who operates by his own code. The voice of the AI adds a layer of dark humor that elevates the material beyond standard thriller fare.
The antagonists, a shadowy cabal known as the Skins, are rendered with chilling precision. Their final move, CRON/OS, a quantum powered kill switch designed to wipe out global infrastructure and reset the board in their favor, provides stakes that feel both apocalyptic and disturbingly plausible. Ponce grounds the speculative elements in enough technical reality to make the threat land with impact.
What sets A.I. Capone: The Digital Don apart is its willingness to have fun with its premise while never losing sight of the human stakes. Celeste is a protagonist defined by her intelligence and her desperation, caught between the creation she unleashed and the forces that want her silenced. General Drake provides both muscle and moral weight, a man who has seen too much to be intimidated by the elites hunting them.
For readers who enjoy science fiction thrillers with inventive premises, sharp dialogue, and a willingness to upend expectations, A.I. Capone: The Digital Don is an excellent choice. It is the kind of work that deserves a much wider readership and with the right exposure it will find the audience it truly deserves.
