I received this book at a conference I attended last year, where the author was the guest speaker. His presentation was engaging, which made me intrigued to read the book he offered for free, even though it was unrelated to the conference topic.
While some stories offer thoughtful moments of religious reflection, the book overall lacks the energy and impact the author brought as a speaker. Many of the short pieces feel underdeveloped, making it difficult to fully connect. I was also put off by some moments of oversimplification and forced parallels.
