Loved It
This book picks up right after Beautifully Wounded left off and this book is definitely a five-star read. Ringo and Abby’s story is fantastic and this author sure knows how to bring it. If you love dark and gritty MC books that pulls out all the emotions, this is the book for you. That cliffhanger is a killer and I cannot wait for book three!!

So, book 1 was good, but this one…book 2 was amazing. Ringo and Angel, Cameron and Abbey…sigh. This book picks up a few weeks after the first one ends…and it is non stop from there. I did receive an advanced copy of this in exchange for my reviews, and am so mad at the author right now because this was that good, and the cliffhanger has me that torn up. I knew it was a cliffhanger too, and still wasn’t expecting that at all. This book was 5 stars for me and I can’t wait till book 3.

Book one was a five star read. I thought “well book two will be awesome” well I’m sorry to disappoint you.. but it wasn’t, it was SO MUCH BETTER!!! I couldn’t stop reading! This book gets all the stars!!
I was hooked and needed to keep going! but let’s be serious.. with that ending, book 3 better hurry TF up! Multiple lives are left in limbo and I cannot deal! And why is it the ones we want to “exterminate” manage to hang around like cockroaches hahahaha

If I could give this more than five stars I would. I was in love with the first book but the second book has just stepped it up and has me riding every wave of emotion as I turn every page. In true Sarah style we are left with another cliffhanger, one I actually wasn’t expecting. I’m not sure where I thought the book was going to go but wow it’s going to be a long wait for the next instalment and I can’t wait to see where these characters go and how they end up. DO NOT hesitate in adding this book to your cart you will not be disappointed, Sarah is an amazing story teller and in this book you would just not want to put down.

The wait seemed to take forever but it was so worth it!
They say love will always find a way, even if you deny its existence. Abbey and Cameron/Angel and Ringo together at last, their road a rocky one to say the least, obstacles thrown in their path, but who will step into their midst to put a cat amongst the pigeons? Can their love conquer all? Will the help of their friends be enough?
We are taken through their story, of Ringo finding her again but not before she is found by others, some unfriendlies and some who turn out to be friends. Ringo is the only one she wants an explanation from, before they all decide upon an outcome for her safety. It doesn’t stop here, as she meets new people, and extends her own family.
It isn’t all plain sailing, the build up to knowing the cult is still intent on getting her back but does it all blow up in their faces?
Loved it, once I started it was hard to put down to return to muggle life. Sarah’s writing is brilliant, her descriptiveness brings the story to life. I simply can not forgive her for that cliffhanger…again! Just joking, I love a good cliffy 🤣 However, the answers we sought were not all to be found just yet 🤭

This is book 2 and it does jump straight from book 1.
I absolutely loved book 1 and it had me on the edge from page one. I didn't quiet find that with this one. It took me a bit to get into the story again. I felt I missed something but as soon as I got myself caught up, I could not put it down.
Following Angel and Ringo's love story has been a journey and I love it. I just wish there was more of the motorcycle gang involved in this one.
But the ending... what the helll!!!! again left with so many questions and need answers :)

often times book two is usually eh alright , it picks up where book one leaves off ect. ect. But man this book 2 blew book one out of the water!! ugh so many more surprises and twists and turns you didnt see coming!. Sarah knows how to keep you guessing and on your toes! I love Ringo and Abby so much! I couldn't put this down! it was an easy 5 star obviously

This book took me through ALL the feels! I loved getting to see more of Abby and Ringo’s relationship and watching it bloom. I loved meeting Abby’s friends. But that ending….OMG!! I hate it and love it at the same time. I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next book!

I liked book one, but in my opinion this one was even better.
Abbey and Ringo are back together, after the twist at the end of the first book. Now they're staying with his family, hiding from the people out to get them. Abbey seems to attract dangerous people.
The ending was a surprise! I so need to know what comes next.

I have not so patiently been waiting to read this after the cliffhanger in Beautifully Wounded and boy did this not disappoint.
I was taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions, I loved meeting Abbeys friends, they are ride or die 😍
Ringo… wow that man has a dirty mouth 🥵 I loved seeing Abbey take back her body from her abusers and see that S€x is enjoyable and empowering.
That ending 🤯 I’m going to need book three like yesterday 🥹

This was an amazing read! I loved book 1 of the Secrets and Scars series but I have to say Sarah JD topped it with Beautifully Reckless!
Continuing on from Beautifully Wounded, this emotional rollercoaster had me glued to the pages, and then smacked in the face with another cliffhanger and so many more questions!
Overall this was a great read and addition to the Secret & Scars series so excited to see what’s to come in book 3!

Not very good at all the MMC was a good character but if I had a dollar for every time the MFC got raped g********* and raped some more. I expected a little but the raping was just over the top ! Not my ideal of a romance and it ends in a cliffhanger I would pass this one up.

This book had me hooked from beginning to end, I couldn’t get enough and ofcourse I didn’t sleep spent all night up saying “just one more chapter” before I got to the end and it left me on the biggest cliff hanger. I will be putting spoilers in this review so if you want want parts of the book exposed to you then please stop reading!
The way that the book starts has you in the edge of your seat! The way she went through everything to the look to her left and there he is beside her protecting her from the men who have caused her so much pain. But it doesn’t just stop there, it’s the whole book that is filled with angst and sadness, fighting, strength, love, power, resilience! The way this book was written had me wanting to reread the story the minute I finished it! I also reread the first books before even starting this book. The author has this ability to write a story with such an incredible intense storyline while simultaneously being able to make me laugh and lust after the characters. The beautiful blend of spice, romance, and action pack storytelling has you hooked. I’ve read every series in this world! The female leads are all bad babes! They take their own life by their lady balls and deal with those who’ve hurt them and the people that they love! Abbey has suffered and continues to fight regardless of everything she has been through. I’ve never cried harder than while reading Sarah’s books. But with love and heartache. When they got married and they played Aerosmith. I paused and put the song on while I read and I sobbed while reading because I could feel the love and safety they both deserved in their life. This book gives you so much information that you were left with questioning in the first book while simultaneously being able to leave you with a whole new set of questions. I can’t wait for the third book. I can’t get enough! I hope in the future we get to read about the mc brothers, the angels, the Marx brothers. I would read stories apart of this world forever!

There's no slow ease into the continuing story of Abbey and Ringo, oh no, right from the start the action is fast paced, the adrenalin flows, and emotions run amok, and they continue through to the final word. Speaking of the finale ... that cliffhanger!!! OMG, I don't think I've ever wanted to scream so loud or throw my kindle harder!! Sarah has a lot to answer and make up for.
Running from Ringo was never going to be permanent for Abbey, especially when she is also being chased by others, some evil and some not. For Ringo to have Abbey back in his life he has a lot of explaining to do, and when he does it is absolutely heart shattering. Many tears were shed for this grouchy, marshmallow of an alphahole. He may have a menacing exterior, but this man has a past trauma that would break anyone, his grief inconceivable. It also explains why Ringo calls abbey 'Angel'.
Abbey's growth is huge. She not only learns to find her voice and stand up for herself, but she also finds her inner strength and fight. She is no longer the naive eighteen year old she once was, instead she has become a woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. Learning of Ringo's past only deepens her connection to him, but is it a connection that brings more danger to them both?
Yet again Sarah JD has shown why her storytelling is so addictive; her vivid descriptions, the gamut of emotions, her characters all combine to ensure the reader is experiencing the tension, drama, and suspense as they read. Loyalty, betrayal, love, hatred, obsession, possessiveness, friends, and family are all pivotal themes in this mesmerising installment. Heartbreak is the conclusion, so Sarah needs to do some repairing in book #3, Beautifully Shattered

I love this series of books so far. It has a dark theme to it. Abbey suffered at the hand of her rapists while her parents allowed this to happen, saying that Abbey was to blame. Abbey's parents belong to a church/cult where the men rule.
When Ringo saves Abbey in the first book, she stays with him at the motel. But when her secret comes to light, Ringo is mad, together with what Wendy one of the Doxie's told her, frightens her and makes her run.
The second book picks up from there. Abbey finds somewhere safe to stay for a few weeks until a raid happens. While trying to get away, she is abducted again, this time by friends, and help is called in to help them escape, the MC comes to their aid.
Ringo is overjoyed to see Abbey again, he needs to explain his reaction to her reveal. Ringo wants Abbey to return with him so he can keep her safe which clashes with her friends. But Abbey assures them, this is what she wants.
Anyone associated with the MC is raided under the pretense of an Amber alert, but why do they want Abbey so badly? Is it to do with who her rapists were, or is it to do with the Cult?
Ringo and Abbey's relationship strengthens. Ringo struggles with his depth of feelings for Abbey in only the short time he has known her. He can't let her go, she is his. Abbey feels safe and protected by Ringo, even though he is ruthless. She knows that he'll do anything for those he loves.
While Ringo and Abbey explore their relationship, things take a turn, and decisions have to be made, even if Abbey doesn't like them. But is this thing with Abbey, the Cult, and the police too big for Ringo to control even with the help of his club and associates? Will she ever be safe? Will he lose her just as he has found her?
The book leaves us on another cliffhanger, and I can't wait for book three to be released so I can find out what happens next!!.

I’m completely obsessed with this series and loved everything about this second book!
This story picked up basically where book 1 left off, with Abbey on the run and Ringo on the hunt. Unfortunately, Ringo’s not the only one hunting for Abbey, and it’s not long before her hiding spot is found out.
What I loved so much about the beginning of this book, was the reunion with all of our past favourite characters from previous series! My heart was so happy at seeing the love and concern that all of Abbey’s old school friends still had for her! It might have been a short-lived reunion, but I’m so glad Abbey was able to see she still had so many people who cared about her and wanted to help keep her safe. I really hope we get to see the whole gang together again for a happier reunion later! 😉
When Ringo finally catches up with Abbey after her running off the way she did, I gotta say, I don’t know what I expected was going to happen, but it wasn’t that. When Abbey ran away she was terrified of Ringo’s reaction to her secret. But after learning why Ringo reacted the way he did, it made so much sense! Gahhh. My heart absolutely breaks for that man. It put everything into perspective. And now that there are no more secrets between them, it’s clear that these two are perfect for each other! Even if they are completely opposite. It just works!
I feel like there was so much that happened in this book, as well as so much character growth and development, it was really just a fantastic read overall! It’s hard to put into words without giving too much away, but as I think back and reflect on everything that happened, all I know is it’s a lot. And I loved everything about it! The good, the bad, and the heartbreaking. And I’m so ready to do it all again when Beautifully Shattered releases later this year! Bring on the tissues - I’m ready for it!

The one thing Abbey fought hard against, she now has no choice, unless she wants to remain safe. Let's just say she makes Ringo pay in her own way.
Ringo and Abbey's need for each other grows. The slow burn to medium burn romance is off the charts. His need to maintain control outweighs the control he gives to Abbey, helping her to rediscover herself by working through her trauma and triggers, making for the most beautiful and sensual scenes between them.
Abbey finds her voice and fights like hell. The person she was before is not the person she is now, her backstory coupled with Ringo's it connects them on a whole other level. The growth and development of these characters will make you want to stay with them right to the very end.
Ringo fights for Abbey, his family and his MC brethren. Cause hell hath no fury like a man bent on vengeance against those that hurt not only Abbey but the betrayal from within their own ranks.
But that cliffhanger will have your jaw on the floor and your heart out of your chest as we highly anticipate book 3 Beautifully Shattered, because I can’t wait to read how it all unfolds for Abbey, Ringo and there families.

I love everything about Sarah JD writing
I have been ready for this book and couldn’t wait to dive in. I was not prepared for the rollercoaster of emotions I was taken on
These characters to me are just broken souls who needed each other and their paths crossed at the right time. She’s his Angel he’s her Hero
Ringo and abbey, wowww I have no words it’s took me a while to think how to write this as I hate spoilers
I don’t get emotional over stories often but I tell you what this had me at the point of tears
I need the next book because my heart is in my mouth wanting to know what’s happening
Both characters past is cruel and heartbreaking but Ringo my gawwddd he will burn the world for Abbey and I absolutely love the teddy bear alpha that he is
He’s soft and gentle with her even though he’s a giant of a man. He helps her in so many ways it’s so nice to read about
Abbey with the help and support from those that care and love her and the determination that she has inside becomes a stronger character she doesn’t back down she doesn’t give up and she most definitely is not selfish, I love her character, love watching her grow to the person I believe she was always meant to be.

Getting to see Abbey come into herself, seeing her strength grow for all she has endured, is just *chef's kiss*.
Going from slow burn to this burn is *kicks my feet* sooo hot! The chemistry between Ringo and Abbey is so HOT! Them getting to finally come together *pun intended* was glorious to read. The grumpy alphahole and his not so sweet anymore church mouse, the story is so beautifully written, I was constantly on the edge of my seat holding my breath for the next moment.

You will cry, 100% you will bawl like a baby, but you will also have the biggest smile on your face, you will be tempted to get revenge for Abbey, and you will be so heartbroken for them all.

Right from the start, I could feel this book was going to hit hard emotionally. Abbey running away after Ringo’s rejection in the last book already had my heart aching. The way the author captures the emotions in this one—grief, hurt, betrayal, and love—feels heartbreakingly genuine. You can truly feel Ringo’s pain when he realizes Abbey left without trying to understand his side. And when he finds her again—surrounded by friends she thought she’d lost—you can sense his entire world shift. All he wants to do is protect her, no matter what it takes. The fact that they have to marry for others to accept their situation adds another layer of intensity, pressure, and vulnerability to their story. What really got to me was the way Ringo shows his love. Not with grand gestures, but with steady loyalty and genuine care. You see him falling for Abbey, piece by piece, even through all the chaos they are going through. Their bond isn’t perfect or traditional, but it feels real. Messy. Honest. And that’s what made it so moving for me. This book isn’t just about romance. It’s about healing, taking emotional risks, and choosing each other through the hard parts. This book is utterly heart-wrenching—packed with angst, fight, and raw emotion. I was hooked from the very first chapter and held captive until the end. My heart was pounding, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Sarah has a talent for writing alpha-hole MMCs you can’t help but fall for. Ringo—aka Cameron—is to die for. He’s tough on the outside but so soft when it comes to his girl, Abbey. His backstory absolutely gutted me. It's dark, twisted, and deeply harrowing. The grief he carries is unimaginable.

HATEED every single side character around Ringo especially his president in the MC club. I do like JD though and his mother but that’s that.
One moment the president is there for Abby and loved to help her and in the next he threatens Ringo to leave her to fend for herself or make her (I think) one like the other women to sleep with everyone. I don’t know what exactly but something like that I think. He sees her like a threat when all of them should protect women like in Abby’s situation instead in my opinion😩
I like Abby’s friends cause they are not mean and misogynistic and assholes. I did like Ringo even though the friends he had. He was good to her and was there when she had the hardest time.🥰
The plot was somewhat good. I didn’t like some of it but overall it was okey. Not my favourite MC romance books but not the worst. Feels like this book was full of misogynistic males in this and only a few, who’s her friends and JD, who is not.
Some point into this series it felt like I just wanted the ML to leave the MC Club and call them out for how most behaved BUT he did not.
I did not like the pregnancy trope in this or that he had lost a child from before. It feels like in almost every biker books, the ML always has children or has lost some and I don’t like that in this. I just want one where they don’t have one and the leads gets one together later, not having before🫣😩😤

Ringo is set to find his beloved Angel, he will burn the world down for his Angel and do whatever it takes to ensure her safety, but he has some explaining to do to Abbey when he finds her and her will find her no matter what.
I thought I loved the first book in the series, I didn’t know Sarah JD could top the first book in the series but let me assure you Beautifully Reckless more than exceeded my expectations. I was quite literally brought to my knees with incredible second part of Ringo and Abbey’s story. I have never found myself so emotionally invested as I am with Ringo and Abbey. I am loving this series and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.
This book is fast paced all the way through, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I can’t recommend this story enough.

Wow—a lot happens in this book! While the first installment focuses on FMC Abbey being kidnapped by MMC Ringo to prevent her from a forced marriage, book two dives deep into Abbey’s character development, her journey of healing from trauma, and the evolving relationship between her and Ringo.
But things are far from easy. Danger returns, and Abbey is forced to face a terrifying situation—one that pushes her to do something she desperately doesn't want to.
